ı miss this perfume.

Jenny Glow Vision is a dupe of this. The scent is quite like Gucci Rush, also by the same perfumer.

In my pursuit of acquiring a powdery floral perfume, I impulsively blind-bought this. This has been in my collection for years; the bottle is pretty!
The initial impression is of crisp, juicy apples intertwined with ylang-ylang, imparting a green and earthy quality until it gradually transitions into a powdery floral essence. I like layering this with Zara's Lightly Bloom.

It is perfectly suited for spring and summer, and its longevity is good, lingering on the skin for 6-7 hours. The fragrance's sillage is restricted to a personal bubble; only those in close proximity can catch a subtle whiff. I love the interplay of sandalwood, vanilla, and musk in the base notes. I've added this to my list of perfumes I need to finish this year.

This perfume brings back so many memories! I bought this for myself on a cruise ship after winning at the casino and it easily became my signature day/work scent for a number of years throughout my 20s.

I haven't quite found anything similar to this as time has passed and I'm forever devastated it's been discontinued. It's easily one of my favourite floral fruity scents of all time.

savannahlucille

Ah! Beautiful fragrance, that takes me back.

See by Chloé was the signature scent of my early 20's! I remember sniffing a magazine ad for it and immediately set out on a journey to find her.

She was the first perfume I used that made me feel like an adult: put together and confident, yet still young and carefree. I wore See all year round, but back then I lived in a much cooler climate, so I'm not sure how she'd fare in the hot weather.

I would say it's a warm, dark, and lightly sweet apple scent. Like drinking warm apple juice by a fire, but you're in a cool dark cave and it's raining outside, so it's still fresh somehow. One of my all time favorite fragrances, I was so sad that they discontinued it. But luckily I still have a bottle to sniff when I'm feeling nostalgic.

Kinga_

This has to be the best apple (let alone apple blossom) fragrance I've tested so far. Quite nice, but very floral.
Also, the best from Chloe collection.

Signatures sent! signature scent! signature sent! I say no more. This has the most youthful apple blossom that incorporates such a bright jasmine and Lang Lang, that the Bergamot pairs like sun accords outside in cool weather and indoors last on my skin 8 hours and on my clothes till washed. I wish that they had a similar perfume on the market. I will definitely be looking for a second bottle as I am almost out.

APPLE-BLOSSOM NECTAR. I used to have a view of an ornamental crab-apple tree from my patio. Every year around Mother's day it would be covered in pink blossoms for a few days. Then one year it was struck by lighting which split it in two, and it had to be cut down. There's something about this scent that hooked me when it first came out in 2012. It was how I wanted to smell at the time, because it seemed to represent a version of myself where losses were recovered. Even now, testing the treasured last 5ml of the second bottle I went through (although I may have a roller-ball or two), I can imagine the pink blossoms filling the patio view.

Opens with a burst of apple-blossom - which is the star of the show here - supported by multi-faceted bergamot to help elaborate fruity aspects to the floral-apple and lend a faint citrus tone to the background. That deepens into the floral heart of jasmine & ylang with powdery, musky, sweet, white & yellow floral tones, all resting on a musky sandalwood-vanilla base. Overall I get a well blended floral-apple that starts fresh & faintly citrus but dries down powdery and sweeter to a floral nectar with vanilla & sweet-sandalwood tones. The floral nectar here is almost honey but doesn't have the animalic or near-beeswax notes normally associated with honey. Average or slightly above average performance.

Sadly this has been discontinued, but people change and grow, and losses become a part of who we are, rather than something to be denied. Now as I sniff my wrist I'm finding this evolves to a nearly uncomfortable sweetness. I look out my patio window through my unobstructed view and ask myself, 'Did I spray it once or twice?'... Still, if you happen to find a roller-ball of this for a reasonable price, enjoy!

cowboygenesis

wow, this smells just like green apples! it's a fresh and playful scent without too much sweetness, as the apple blossom note feels quite tart and overpowers anything else going on in there. i really like the bottle design, i think the typography gives a bit of grit to the otherwise feminine aesthetic for chloé.

I never bought it back in 2012, then forgot about it. Then it got discontinued. I have finally got it - now, in 2023. I had been dreaming of this scent, trying to find similar notes in other fragrances.
It smells the same as it did in 2012, It smells of skin in the sunshine, cream-covered skin, sunshine, and air. Evokes that feeling of coziness when you're lying on the grass or sitting in the sun, feeling soft, relaxed and happy.
It makes me think of an old Nivea cream in a flat round box.
Love it.

Okay so my signature sent is chloe. I love the Soapy Rose. I've been going through my perfume collection and trying to sell a lot of it that I don't reach for anymore. I just don't have the space and I own far too many bottles. I've been picking about 4 a week to sell.
I bought a 2.5 oz bottle of this perfume when it first came out so it's pretty old. I had about 75% of it remaining. All that I was really thinking about is that I haven't reached for it in many years. I looked up that going price and it was a couple hundred dollars for one in my condition. I listed it as vintage for 115 and it sold right away.
As soon as I printed the label and went to package the product I got a whiff of the perfume and sprayed it one time on my wrist. By this time it's too late but I don't remember it being this beautiful. It was the best thing I've smelled in years and I've just sold it. I went ahead and packaged it and mailed it and ever since then have thought about it constantly.
If anybody has a bottle that they're willing to sell me a travel size decant, i would be very grateful. I would like to try to buy the equivalent of the size of a Rollerball if I can ever find if I can ever find it. That's kind of ridiculous that I just sold it and then realized how great.
There is just nothing like it that I've ever smelled. I came on here today to look to see what people are saying smells similar. The only thing that I see here is that one by oriflame and I checked online and there's only one online for sale and it's just as expensive as buying a vintage bottle of this.
You know what I don't understand about perfume companies in general is why they produce something this beautiful or a perfume that is a great seller and beloved by so many and then they choose to discontinue it? The worst part is they discontinue it forever. I can see taking it off the market for a few years, but bring it back. Instead, Chloe keeps on selling the ones that are not unique and beautiful that people aren't buying like Chloe absolu. Why would they keep on producing something like that but discontinue this beauty? Even cosmetic companies have been known to re-release certain bestsellers, even up to 10 years after the first release. That happened with Mac Whisper of guilt. The highlighter was selling for like $300 because it was so great and hard to find and then they just re-released it. Very smart. I was Chloe would do the same.
I love how the apples you can smell practically all the way through. Most perfumes that smell like Apple, only do so in the very beginning and that smell is fleeting. Not with this one.

Ana Flores

Years have passed since it got discontinued but I can't get over it :( ... This was my perfect powdery scent, the sillage of the jazmin and apple blossom was just amazing❤ I have tried to find the most similar scent but with no success... I would be so grateful if somebody could tell the best similar finding to See by Clohe 😢

prax

This fragrance is YUMMY. It gives that nostalgic feel of walking through an apple orchard when you were a kid. I would actually prefer this scent in a form of a body spray that you can reapply during the day, as I find it quite one-dimensional and not getting much on my skin once the apple scent dies down. Because of this it's not an everyday scent for me, but nevertheless the initial notes are lovely. Definitely an early spring daytime fragrance

stella.cherie

Meh. There were two distinct phases for me when wearing this one. First phase, which lasted about 3-4 hours, was a full blast of fruity apples upon apples, which was surprising to me because I could hardly detect the jasmine (and I'm a jasmine lover). Then it dries down to this musky vanilla (while retaining this light apple fruitiness), which lingers as a skin scent. The dry down is quite pleasant, but I'm not a fruity scent lover, so this is a definite pass for me. I can see the appeal of this fragrance for others though. Overall, this scent lasted around 5-6 hours on me until it became ever so faint.

HellyBopPop

I absolutely adore this perfume! Such a clean soft and happy scent. Have no idea why it’s no longer to be found on the shelves:(

kittywhiskers

Smells amazing, so clean and crisp. Couldn't stop smelling my wrist the first time I tried it. Unfortunately it barely lasted 2 hrs on me and I could barely smell it anymore so I returned it :( such a shame as I wanted this to be my signature scent soo bad

JoCro61

This was my favorite of all time. Now it's gone. I don't like the thought of a signature scent being taken away but.... could happen with any fragrance. This was sweet, sour, fresh, sharp. Elegant.

Chech85

So pretty and girly. I found a dupe at T.J. Maxx by the brand of Aubusson’s Parfum Library named Pink Musk. I love it!

Charlotte_Grace_29

this fragrance is very pleasant and nostalgic for me. I am surprised to see that it came about in 2012, as I would have suspected it of being from 200 or so. The apple blossom top note is very mid-90's Herbal Essences shampoo and White Rain hair mousse to me. The bergamot is cheerful and keeps things bright, I would consider this a spring or summer fragrance.

I get a little bit of the musk and ylang ylang after a while, but it's soft. Sillage is limited to your own little personal bubble, this is a good choice for the office or for doctor's appointments when you aren't looking to offend anyone. Based on the brightness and retro vibes the fragrance gives off, it sort of reminds me of Cacheral Promesse, even though there are no berry notes in this one. To me this smells like something that a younger person in 2006 would have worn.

Oh, and the bottle is lovely. Very heavy, cut glass and a securely fastened cap.

emilymonroe1

It is one-of-a-kind, comfortable, friendly, and attempts to maintain everything in balance. It's wonderful, appley, and enjoyable, and it makes me feel clean and natural. 'See' is obviously fruity, although it appears flowery due to how fresh it is. It's stunning. This smell is a harmonious blend of roses, musk, and vanilla for me. It's quite bright! It smells like summer, a little sweet and a little fresh. exactly right! It simply smells amazing. The lasting power and silage are fantastic on me.

Pmarie13

WHY DID THEY DISCONTINUE THIS SCENT!!! It was my first expensive perfume purchase and I was totally in love with it. Incredible staying power and a warm comforting scent. It's like something I can't even describe - fall inspired, woodsy, fresh apple, cinnamon and clove. Such an amazing fragrance. I've tried for years to find another bottle but with no luck.

sunnifrutti4eva

Where to start: The spice! Never did I smell a fragrance that beautifully, captured spice in a bottle. It was like a crab apple (little green apples found in the southeastern USA) cobbler trapped in a bottle! Also, for me, I could sense a tinge of leather...maybe that was the magic of the sandalwood base. Forget about the compliments. But the way I felt once I sprayed this on...I felt chic, confident, and feminine. It was good times spent wearing this fragrance.

bbha

I completely agree with the review below me, this is my ultimate fall fragrance. Smells like apple picking and making pies afterwards. To me it’s warm and sweet.

RoseforEmily

I see many comments about this being a spring scent, and while I see it being used in spring and summer, to me it's the ultimate fall fragrance. The unmistakeable apple, spice, and vanilla notes give me such cozy cool-weather vibes and it evokes pies, the color red (like the box and font), and falling leaves. As today is the first day of fall, I've been thinking about See by Chloe. I'm glad I still have my bottle!

kiwikate

It was this perfume that created my years long love affair with Jasmine. It was also the first perfume to get my out of my youthful sickly sweet era (think Britney Spears, Escada). So I will always have love for this perfume as my first ever classic grown up scent, and it remains in regular rotation to this day. Sweet and non-offensive, it smells very fresh, yet still warm. I feel it transitions well from day to night, and I frequently get comments on the scent.

valevaleria

Tropical and aquatic. Pretty good longevity. Not really sure if I like it.

Candylove14

This is such a unique scent. I first smelled it on a lady in Russia. I am disappointed it seems to be discontinued and very difficult to find these days. I can't pin exactly what it smells like but it is unlike any other perfume I've smelled. It is very natural, almost as if it is someone's natural scent. It is so fresh and sweet. It's a great every day perfume. I got it for Christmas and I love it.

mevans

A light fresh fragrance. The apple blossom and citrus are quite nice in the opening. In fact I get apple not just the floral part. It's true to the Chloe brand with that powdery, floral, romantic and old-fashioned feel. It's very nice. Great fragrance for spring and summer. Good for work or other places you want a subtle scent. It wears close to the skin but sticks around for a decent amount of time.

PlanetGrl

I'm glad I bought a small sample instead of a full sized bottle. This smells like a sachet of cheap potpourri at first whiff. I'm willing to give it another chance in the coming days but my expectations are rather low. I now suspect I got an old sample. I keep sampling it but it still just stinks of a cheap potpourri, not a good blind buy.

IrynaD

This is the best perfume I had.... It is so bright! It smells like summer - a bit sweet, a bit fresh - just perfect! Unfortunately, it is discontinued...I wish Chloe could bring it back!

ezging

This could be my signature scent (and i never have a signature scent), but it's not in the market anymore. CHLOE SHOULD BRİNG THİS BACK!

adinat

See is a very feminine, airy, freshly squeezed apples perfume :) It's inoffensive and suitable for a day out in the park or for a walk, perfect for spring/summer.

It's the type of "wallflower" perfume, if I can call it so. :)

Love the bottle - reminds me of a small bird cage. I blind-bought this after really liking See Si Belle, although the two aren't similar in any shape and form..

This is one of the fragrances I tend to get loads of compliments on when I wear it. Pleasant smelling, and light enough for warm weather. The Apple Blossom / Bergamot / Sandalwood combination does remind me of beer, or a brand of furniture polish I smelled when I was little.

Not overly ecstatic about it, no show-stopper, but nice enough to use from time to time

Petula009

This is the love of my early 20s. Fresh cotton scent with a hint of fruits but still not that sweet enough to be overpowering. The only vanilla I could wear. It broke my heart when they have discontiuned it - but as with every freagrance I had more than two bottles of - I had a good run. I am currently at my last 30ml bottle, I was lucky enough to buy last year. There are just few spritzes left. It is time for me to find a new signature. Thank you, Chloé!
Vibes: fresh, cotton, clean, allarounder, not so sweet vanilla, office appropriate

Rkzz84

This was my absolute favourite and now I can’t seem to find it anywhere in Australia except online and what they are charging is double of what I originally used to get it for. it’s one of the best Chloe’s in my opinion but I’m not sure if it has been discontinued as they do with a lot of their fragrances. The thing with all Chloé fragrances is u can tell it’s Chloé and this ones not any different in that sense just less powdery and more fruity but stil very elegant. The vanilla is subtle yet it’s not sickly sweet. absolulty love it

yayimah

This is divine! It's my happy perfume. It's like drinking the sweetest apple juice while on a picnic at a flowery garden. Love it!

rebred

I put this on since I hadn’t tried it in a while. On my skin the first strong smell is pepper. It settles down to a fresh, somewhat powdery floral with some musk. It’s a clean smelling day time scent. Not my favorite but pleasant. I suspect it would smell better on other folks.

waskotransportation

THIS is so great. My signature is Chloe New or Chloe Chloe and this one is a close second. I own everything she has ever made and the only one I did not like at all is Nomade. This is so pretty and I love the fruit in the beginning. The apple smell stays with me all day in fact. I love that. have not tried a perfume yet that successfully made the fruit opening stay through drydown. Just stunning.

greyhoundmom

My love affair with Chloe perfumes continues... such a quality house. Effortlessly feminine and long-lasting, well blended, lovely fragrances all of them; See being no exception.

See is a musky-sweet white floral with a juicy bite of apple. It's soft-seeming like velvety flower petals but still strong, assertive in its femininity. Incredibly long-lasting, at first sniff I thought "Oh no, this is the type of scent that fades away quickly".. a polite barely-there floral like Allure or Baiser Vole.. but no, See makes a statement. Like its name, it proclaims "See!"

The bottle shape reminds me of an old fashioned birdcage and feels heavy and high quality. It looks great next to my other Chloe perfumes...I love the ribbed glass theme all the newer Chloes have.

fashionista

The best way to sum up See is that it is spring in a bottle. The apple blossom note dominates but not in a bad way. It is what makes See fresh and uplifting. At this time of year when the flowers start to bloom, the leaves start to grow on the trees, the days are longer and warmer, that's when I reach for See. It really puts me in an optimistic mood. Also, the sillage and longevity are strong.

LaelMitchell

It smells like flowers and apple cider. Not what I expected but it's not bad.

AntigoneAscending

I don't usually do negative reviews because scent is personal and subjective. But truly, I do not like this at all. The scent itself is pleasant enough, if a bit to powdery and stuffy. But something about it offends my nose, immediately my throat is itchy and I can't bear to be near it. Yuck.

rumari47

Just repurchased! I was at TJ Maxx and decided to browse through the fragrance section and I'm so glad I did. Found the 2.5oz for a good price. This is the perfect time of year (in my opinion) for this fragrance. Today it's cold and raining. I spritzed this on and it is just gorgeous. Something about the cold weather just makes this fragrance work for me. This fragrance has been hard to come by (for me.) It's been sold out online and Sephora no longer carries it. Found a pile of this fragrance at TJ Maxx. I may be in the minority of people that actually like the See flankers. They don't seem to be well liked. Just repurchased See Eau Fraiche a few days ago as well ;) you can read my first review of this scent since this technically isn't a review.

Konga5000

NEVER in my life did I see so many conflicting reviews!!!!!

----------------------------------------------------

1) My first ever experience with a Chloe product aside from Chloe Neroli - which was early on in the game and I dismissed it (as too girly) because that was BEFORE I openly admitted...... I'm a "gender bender" with fragrances. (in reality- I am a husky bald 53 year old MAN). Deal with it.
2) I had my eyes OPEN for a good Chloe because in the summer ; Chloe Narcisissy (sp?) was in abundance and I wanted to TRY IT! Months go by and the Chloe Train don't stop here no more at T.J. Asswipe Junction. Boo hoo.

3) Today I see Chloe See and read (on HERE) all the (mostly inane and dented) reviews calling this "Generic Yet Incredible" , "Cozy but No Identity" and "Come Pee Pee on my Moo Moo". . Or some such garbage. I have no idea what these people are talking about. As Archie Bunker once said "They're the kind of people that keep fruit in the house even when nobody's sick".

---------------------------------------------------
WHAT THIS IS:
A light fruity FRAPPLE (fruit & apple to you, waffle hips) with a musk dry-down . This is ONLY a few notches UP from any dopey "celebrity" spritz it shares VALUABLE rack space with next to the
Bed Head oozing all over the place.

The MUSK is above average. The Apple scent is above average. The projection is BELOW average - like worse than a can of scented hairspray.

I sprayed my scarf (wool) in the car and it did hold the musk dry-down for hours-- but on skin; Missing In Action, Chuck Norris.
WORTH $24.99 ? NO. No blind buy either.
Oh well. I'm on my way to find another Chloe (a line that was supposed to be heavy-ish and old lassie ish?).

mlpalazzo

I really dig this, and on my skin, at least, the apple is quite strong, throughout its progression. Lasts really long on me, about 6 hours and I can still smell fresh, pretty apple-y goodness. The drydown is creamy and pretty, I get some sandalwood and musk. I actually like this perfume a lot more than I thought I would, since I haven't been a fan of other Chloe perfumes I've tried. I could see this being a big crowd-pleaser.

huggiemcguire

I fell in love with this with the first sniff of the bottle. When I wear it I get a very strong white floral scent that never fades or changes. I have worn it in the summer and it was a big mistake as it was too strong and old lady floral on my skin. I have been afraid to wear it in the daytime since then. Now it is winter and I sprayed just one pump on each wrist and it is still very strong floral 2 hours later. I love it but it reminds me of many strongly scented perfumes from the 80's. It is going to take me forever to use up the bottle.

Smells_Good

I love the See by Chloe range and have both the EDP & Eau Fraiche version. My first love was the Si Belle version but it wasn't available when I purchased the other two. I love the freshness and fruitiness of the perfume, especially after a refreshing shower on a hot day. The Eau Fraiche is more citrusy and maintains that note throughout, whilst the EDP has a fruitier, slightly sweet dry down. My skin doesn't really project any floral note in this and I find it hard to detect any. Its just fresh and fruity for me. They both open with a big bang but they don't have huge longevity and I'm always respraying after couple hours to get the initial fresh burst. Great for day time during those hot summer months. Clean and fresh is how I can best describe it.

Erinbath22

I love this perfume a little more each time I wear it. Starts a lot like sparkling apple cider and honey with a little woody bite of something brambly-not sure what? Crisp, sweet and snappy, and then the woody musk base gets heavier and sweeter apple pie-ish smelling. But the theme of apple stays the whole time. Something creamed emerges in the dry down- sandalwood/vanilla? Very charming! Just sweet enough but not syrupy or cloying.
Happy, crisp, bubbly, honey and apples. Fairly long-lasting and friendly perfume. Love!

Violinplayah

Every time I wear this fragrance I get compliments! I hesitated to purchase this fragrance for a long time even though I liked it, because so many reviews I had read dismissed it as a scent for teenagers, so I thought there must be something about it that I was missing. After purchasing and wearing for a few weeks however, I think it's the other way around. It is fresh, fruity and sweet, but has a lovely powdery, pink petal overtone to it that adds maturity and complexity, keeping it far and away from smelling like it belongs in a high school class room in my opinion. It is a perfect daytime fragrance for spring and summer, an automatic mood lifter- I don't know how anyone couldn't be cheerful wearing this!- and when you can find 2.5 oz at TJ Maxx for $20, is a bit of a no brainer, even for a blind buy.

LadyPilot

Finally my dreams of an affordable creamy/vanillic gardenia/tuberose/jasmine perfume have come true!!!:)
Beautiful, opulent white floral bomb, true jasmine grandiflora with juicy bergamot opening - one that doesn't spoil the white floral component!:D
A nice replacement for Annick Goutal Songes - although definitely not the same - just from the same story;)
Apple blossom? No, I can't sense it at all - white flowers totally block this precious and discreet aroma from surfacing, at least to my nose.
I know that gardenia and tuberose are not listed but I can smell them in the opening notes, mixed with vanilla. What remains is jasmine - my beloved kind that grows in my area!!! I don't smell any musk, but if there is any, it is so well-blended and clean that it only makes the whole combo nice and round - nothing else. Vanilla is very natural and delicate, it soon disappears. Gardenia reappears in the base notes, after a short departure in the heart notes. Ylang-ylang unfortunately emerges after half an hour and this is the headache-inducing bit of the perfume.
Still, it's a big discovery for me and a "must-have" for June!!! It will be just perfect for a dinner in the blooming garden or for a romantic walk in the nature!

natluvly

Just received this in a swap and to me this is a 70's rock star complete with bell bottoms a leather jacket and disheveled but polished blonde hair. She is a lovely rock princess in the best way possible. I love one of the reviews here that said they love to wear this with a leather jacket. This is exactly what I picture this girl wearing with this. It is clean and crisp but has an edge to it. The perfect clean scent with a dirty, vintage, Rock vibe. Just my style but I will test more to get who this scent is and if it works for me.

mmm_331

Before this fragrance, I use to avoid all sweet fragrances since I always associated them with cheap & childish scents. This definitely changed my mind about them.

It's a sweet fragrance but toned down just enough for those who hate sweet fragrances as it allows the other notes to come through (tone down the sweetness + add a bit of maturity) I find. It's also perfect for those who love sweet fragrances as the sweetness is still present enough for them to enjoy. The dry down is just lovely. The vanilla here is done/used so well, way better than Armani's Si (eau de parfum) which I sadly no longer want to use after getting this.

victoria.mei1992

All Chloe perfumes are very weak. You can barely smell it on your hand.

maya2000ro

On me, this perfume is extremely musky (which i don't really like). After it sets down the slight floral fragrance that i felt at the beginning disappears. Not for me at all.

snoopyQ

This is a nice sweet, clean and a little musky smelling floral fragrance.
Very inoffensive and fresh.
Longevity and projection are good.

Whenever I wear this it lifts my mood and I get a can-do attitude. (most of the chloe fragrances have that effect on me so...... I might be biased because I really, really like them).

theuntrainednose

Summary: sweet fruity floral, pretty enough and not nauseatingly sweet, though I would rather it would be a little less sweet.

---

Interesting enough. Fruity and sweet (yup, it does remind you of yellow apples), and simultaneously a sort of abstract floral. I cannot recognize the specific flower notes, just the vague idea of flowers.

It's actually quite pretty and well-done in a simple way, just not exactly to my personal taste. I would wear it if offered, but for me it lacks something. Maybe some lemon-y note?

Note: I have a small sample vial.

dyaver

Sweet apple balanced with sandalwood and musk. It's not overly sweet like some say, it's actually fresh and crisp. Youthful, energizing and flirty. Ideal for spring. I'm not a fan of Chloe, but this one is my favorite so far.

dglightblue

I'm trying to like this.
It's a soft fruit floral
There's some sour or slightly bitter note, it might be magnolia?? Or frangipani?
I like it in first sniff, then that note sneaks in and ruins it on my skin

Pollyflower

I bought this blind today (I was gaming actually this should be called "visual buying!" Since you can see but not smell it.) it was a great price and I adore the si belle version, which to me is quite different. This is honey on me. The first minute there is a chemical smell but very soon it's just honey (actually I wouldn't notice the chemical smell but I read someone says bug spray so yes I can smell that but literally under one minute and it's gone). So honey (I had creamed honey and this reminds me of it, clover it orange? It's not spicy but it gives me the idea of cinnamon on honey not sure why). Also very faintly it smells if a freshly snapped tree branch, small and green. I wonder if my impression will change when I wear it again.

Taliera

I have a FB of this if anyone is willing to do a swap with me :)

LucyLucy

Agreed with Andreas. Also I found that Chloe See is smelled a bit old lady-ish in summer time but beautiful also uplifting in winter :)

andreas73

Is it possible for a fragrance to be "bubbling" and "crispy"? This one proves it is.

It starts very spring-like and youthful, with notes of juicy apple, apple blossoms and lots of musk, which gives the fragrance intensity and that "something else" that wouldn't be there without its presence. Soon after, ylang ylang and vanilla notes render the fragrance sweeter and kind of "caramelized", making it a little bit warmer. Even so, as it has a discreet sillage, the fragrance doesn't disturb on days with higher temperatures.

This is one of the fragrances that make us feel clean and fresh, as if we just have had a shower. Soft, inoffensive, great for wearing on a daily basis and perfect for people who get annoyed by "showy" fragrances. And, for such a discreet perfume, the longevity is excellent, of almost 10 hours.

Tussa

Immediately I had crush on Chloe, and later on on L'eau de Chloe as love forever, which made me explore other Chloe versions. See by Chloe is a bit different, might say not as such love, but still like to have it in possession. I found this floral-musky scent very nice and kind of recognisable, so it will be the part of the collection for some time. For me 7/10.
It is interesting that this one got lower rating that ones I really dislike, so I learned that those reviews are the great help for initial informations, but not a guide for a blind buy (at least for me :)

This seems to be a bit of a chameleon - as if it changes its color on everyone who wears it. For the life of me (it's been a long time, folks), I can't remember another fragrance I've ever worn that goes through such a complete transformation.

At first 'See' was not particularly appealing to me (powdery, rich white musk and fruity-melon), so I was pleasantly surprised when it became an entirely different creature as it dried down. On my skin, 'See' warms to freshly cut vanilla bean and maple syrup with a touch of new leather. This scent then morphs entirely; lingering as the citrusy wild bergamot that grows in my yard, dewy springtime grasses, a bit of warm sandalwood and some element that reminds me of freshly baked cardamom bread.

Soft enough to wear any time and appropriate for any age, 'See' is safe gift choice. Sillage is minimal - even when I brazenly spray it everywhere after a shower. Its longevity always catches me off guard. Just when the scent seems to have vanished, I'll catch a warm unexpected hint of something delicious that - aha! - I believe I've just identified:

Steaming basmati rice with saffron.
Peculiar, but that's it!

While searching for original 'Chloe', I blind bought a 2.5 oz/75 ml 'See' EDP tester on ebay for pennies on the dollar. In a few month's time, I've nearly emptied the lovely bottle. Not at all disappointed with the fragrance (especially considering the incredibly low price paid), I might purchase again at a good markdown, but probably not at full retail.

catswearingperfume

See by Chloe is a unique fruity floral. It's fresh and bright, but also very subtly spicy. It's primarily a sweet floral but the apple note is present through to the dry down, though the note itself changes a lot along the way. I noticed a lot of folks think of this as purely a spring and summer scent, but I actually think See shines most in the fall. There's note combination in this fragrance that really reminds me of spiced pears.

Kohla1

The only note I get: play dough.

Pepperflower

Breath of fresh air, sunshine and light showers. Just in time for April.

Apples, jasmine, musk and vanilla. Starts of crisp and bright with apples and musk. Jasmine is quite strong yet pristine and clean. Vanilla rounds everything out ever so gently. Chloe See is not at all complicated yet sometimes it is all I need. It's fresh, floral, airy, and a sheer veil of sweetness. I would like to wear this perfume while my hair is still wet and go outside in the sun. Which does remind me, this smells like shampoo, but in the best way possible.

When Victoria Secret Pink came out with a fragrance and body line, my favorite scent was Fresh & Clean. Getting older and wanting something a little more sophisticated and longer lasting with the same feel, Chloe See is fits the slot perfectly. Wearing Chloe See gives me a youthful feeling like I had when I wore VS Fresh&Clean in college without being childish.

Also, something about this does remind me of a 90's perfume. for as simple as this is, It is understated yet lovely and one of my favorite perfumes.

Sherri81

I love this perfume. It isn't a complex, sexy scent. It is just a good, everyday perfume.

I smell a lot of apple and vanilla, but not in an apple pie candle way; it's much more bright.

It does no project well on me, but when people do smell it, they compliment it.

Although I do love it, it's not the type of perfume I would repurchase. The bottle is beautiful, and the scent is great, but it resembles too many other fragrances. There just isn't enough to set it apart from the other juicy, fruity, perfumes available right now.

olga_adriana

i've waited a long time to review this one (at least, I don't think I have yet!)
I immediately fell in love with this when I smelled it on the magazine test strip. It was before I really got into perfumes, but even now, with all the ones I have, See by Chloe holds a special place in my heart.

The notes are right on, and like other reviewers have said, it's a clean and bright smell. It reminds me of spring and vacation. I don't get any soapiness out of it.

This fragrance is sparkling and innocent, and that is why i love it so much. it's quite ingenue. something i can see young parisian ladies wearing around the streets while out shopping in the spring! it's really lovely, sweet, and romantic, but not seductive, mysterious, or sexy.

i know it doesn't get a lot of love here, but i've received many compliments on it, and actually i find that the longevity and projection are quite good!

i really recommend it, for women under 30...

victoria.mei1992

Very weak, longevity is nor good too. Smell is very light and reminds me of apples. Not worth its price.

JinjuDee

I absolutely adore this perfume, so much so that it's my new favourite. I tested it by chance one day in a department store and couldn't stop sniffing my wrist afterwards. This comes out as a clean powdery scent on me with a touch of apple and florals. It's a lovely day scent and I get many compliments for wearing it though it's hard to find. I was given Narcisse a few years ago and in all honesty I hated it but this scent is perfect, at least for me.

EllenD1991

Blind bought again with this one (sale!) I really love the original Chloe so I thought I'd give this a go even though it wasn't part of the same line. To me it is inoffensive, fresh, feminine but quite boring... when I put it on its just "meh". Its the type of scent I'd put on if I was feeling indifferent. I think its better suited for summer. Pretty bottle, longevity is ok but sillage not so much.

lidya.chan

This is the only perfume that smells terrible on the paper, but it does smell amazing on my skin.
When I was in the airport, I unpurposely sprayed it on my skin. after few minutes/hours, I kept smelling my wrist and wordered what perfume did I put on (because I forgot). So I came back to the store and realized that it was this See by Chole. Ever since, everytime I go to the department store, I will always spray this on my skin till I can afford to by it.
plus, it last for hours

loonad

this is an inoffensive floral perfume better suited for spring or summer.i've really enjoyed using the 1ml sample that i had and maybe will buy a bottle next summer.the longevity and sillage are moderate.

Tussa

To be honest, I am not sure what to think about it. I have it, I wear it, but for sure it is not in my top 10. After i finish this bottle, I do not think I will buy it again, unless I find it for a bargain price (which is not likely to happen for some time). There is nothing exactly that I do not like, but I am just not excited when I put it on.

LoveJoy22

Unfortunately, I don't care for this fragrance! I don't get the clean crisp happy scent that everyone speaks of. On me, it is a musky boozy sour cherry hot of a mess disaster.

KDobiecki

I really like this one. It is bright, clean, and lightly floral/fruity. Definitely day-appropriate, and I find that I like the slightly soapy scents because they're inoffensive. Though it's clean, it's not "fresh" but more warm clean. It reminds me a tad of one of the Clean fragrances-- warm cotton, I think. I don't like when fragrances are too "perfumey" and this one is not. Very nice! :)

tessaeastgate

This somehow just barely makes it among my favorites, but, for some reason, this and Gucci Flora EDP gets the most compliments. I live in Fiji, BTW, and work in an environment with a very multicultural workforce, with people from age three to, well, senior citizen. This gets compliments from people of various backgrounds... There are days my husband just says he loves it so much. I have finished a 75ml, got a 50ml, then bought another 75 on sale. Is it the climate, or is it my body chemistry? Can't tell. In Fiji, I find it more wearable than Gucci Flora (the other "most complimented). This one's mild enough for even the warmest days.

Vegas Pauli

Not a fan of simple sweet perfumes, but this one is very nice. Its crisp, clean and flowery but not what I would call complex or unusual. Not a far cry from Happy by Clinique but more sophisticated. The sandalwood in this is very light and barley there, but it does give it a nice balance and a more "expensive" smell. A young girl can wear this in the summer just as easily as a mature woman could wear this to work at the office. Its got a classic feminine element to it too. A crowd pleaser, so its a safe gift or blind buy. Only real criticism is the longevity is on the weak side and acts more like an EDT than an EDP. Still I give it a thumbs up.

neovisual

I just sprayed this on my wrist in the shop. And ugh, I can't wait to get home to wash it off. Such a sickly sweet perfume that to me hust smells like soap. At least right now this is definitely not for me. Way too sweet and no personality at all.

cafe au lait

It almost smells like apple. Longevity is good. A nice scent for young ladies, in my opinion. It was a gift for me. I like to wear it but I don't think I'll buy another bottle again for myself.

Verka81

My Mom loves it for its 'soapy' smell. She prefers inoffensive simple scents. But I can't stand it on her - I feel there's too much musk in it and that gives me a rather unpleasant nauseous feeling.

Dufteren

I wore See by Chloe yesterday for the first time, and I was pleasantly surprised, a fresh clean bright an pretty fruity floral. Quite sweet, but it has a little bite to it, preventing it from becoming a sugary mess. It is not quite my taste, so I doubt I would buy this for myself, however I think it would perfect on my teenage daughter for spring /summer.
Anyway, if I smelled this on someone else, I would certainly lean in and say.

"Mmmmm, you smell good"

anis_karma

This perfume is my favourite summer day fragrance. I smell good :) Well, at least it's my opinion.

rumari47

This perfume is one of my favorites. After using up half the bottle, it may be time for a review. I got this back in winter 2013 at the after Christmas sales on a holiday trip. My dad offered to buy this for me, which makes it even more special!

I must admit that I didn't start using this until winter 2014. I was kinda put off by See for a while. I smelled See on a college friend, but I didn't realize it was See. I smelled a synthetic Apple/musky weird scent that seemed to last and last AND last. I finally asked what fragrance she had began wearing and she told me See. I was shocked! Not MY See by Chloe? Can't be?

Finally, last winter I decided to pull See from its box and test it on my skin. I thought it was lovely! Definitly Apple and floral. But in a unique way. I don't think I've smelled another perfume like See. It's hard to confuse it with something else. Which I love about it! I wore it a few times and asked my husband and brothers (brutally honest critics) what they thought of it. They said it was nice. My hubby loves it! When I was still living with my mom, she would steal a spritz or two every now and then. It smells awesome on my mom as well. I believe chemistry is a major factor with this fragrance.

I tried See in summer since it seems like more of a summer scent but I think it smells a whole lot better in cooler weather. I realized I LOVE wearing this scent when I wear my leather jackets. The unique smell of See combined with the smell of leather smells sexy to me! (I don't spray my perfume on my leather jackets btw!) I can't wait for the cooler weather to come around so I can start wearing this again.
It's beautiful, unique, long lasting! It's rare that I ever repurchase a fragrance but once I'm out of this beauty, I'm buying another full sized bottle.

Peachysugarbuns

Don't blind buy See - test it on your skin first and see if it works with you.

Personally, this was one of the worst fragrances I've ever encountered. Honey + bug spray + waxy apple lollipop that you'd find at the Dollar Store = See by Chloe.

Divaholic7344

I feel I can wear this any time day or night , is very fresh ,clean , sexy and I love wearing this specially in spring and summer days.

ell_bee

Apple, apple, apple... like trees full of them. On the verge of sickeningly sweet, but never quite crosses that line. There's something refreshingly youthful about See, I get why it was geared towards a younger demographic, but a true lady of any age can pull this off. Very business casual or jeans and tee friendly.

Blåsten

I get a sweet smelling appelpie, jasmin kind of smell. I love it! it is perfect for a summerday when you feel happy and girly, or perhaps a autumn day, when the sun is shining. a lot of people dont find, that it smells like appel on me, but only flowers, but i get a lot of appels. Very strong scent, lasts many hours on me.

inespere

I have tried this numerous times, always hoping that I will smell something different - but all I get is waxy (in that synthetic lipstick kind of way) apple! Not a fan.

killerbee523

I have no idea why this fragrance smells like paper on me. It smells so nice on other people. I think it is the Jasmine.

ojosverdes

I have both the Edp and the Edt and they smell different. The Edp is more the scent of apples similar to baked apples. The Edt is softer and muskier. I don't see the EDT listed here in fragrantica.

lhm

LOVE It :) :) :)
I tested and will have it soon!

Purrbaby

The first spray is sweet and youthful, like honey and flowers. Then it starts to tone down to a softer, more sophisticated smell, still honey like, but not as bold. The final smells are a sweet light musk. I find it very feminine and confident.

Yayatan

This is an easy-to-wear but very ordinary scent. It is fruity and floral at the start, then the musk start to show through a while later. The result is a pleasant, well-blended scent which, however, smells like a lot of other perfumes. I can't say that I dislike it, but I would prefer something more distinctive than this. And I do agree that it doesn't seem to last very long.

MartaL

It is a funky, easy to wear scent, more for daytime. A younger, more fun version of the original Chloe Chloe. My personal experience is that sniffing it from the bottle, I am overwhelmed by this outstanding scent but wearing it, really? Where does it go? It does not last very long and turns out to be quite ordinary.

babimaka

I absolutely LOVE this fragrance! I was so surprised. I received a sample size when I purchased another perfume from Nordstrom and it has quickly become within my top 5 fragrance for work. Its initially fruity with a freshness that doesn't smell like cleaning solution or soap and just the right amount of sweet. I've received so many compliments on it & I'm so glad I purchased a big bottle.

This is my kind of scent. IN LOVE!

Scented Demented

Nice bottle is the kindest thing I can say about this fragrance. On me it doesn't smell like much, therefore it will never be on my repurchase list. A blind buy which annoys me as I hate wasting money. Sorry, not for me :-(

linzilou92

I bought this in the January Sales, I hadn't smelt it in over a year but I swore that I had liked it when I had. I ended up buying the 75ml set for £28.....sadly It reminds me of a certain furniture polish that I always use :-( I'm gutted but I'll find it a good home with someone who loves it :-)

risarii

A very nice refreshing scent. It's fresh and rather clean, but not "straight up soap" like the regular Chloe or sanitized roses like Roses de Chloe. This is naturally fresh and bright, and would be great in the Spring or Summertime when it would feel like drinking a cold glass of lemonade. Very pretty and the bird-cage bottle is gorgeous (all of Chloe's bottles are pretty, but my favorites are this one and the new Love Story, which I have yet to smell.)
Crisp apple (blossom?) with the floral (non-indolic) jasmine that dries down to a soft musk and an edge of sandalwood that grounds it. Longevity is quite good for such a light scent.

Mirlo

I'm surprised to find out some Fragrantica users find this perfume too intense - it's such an "inoffensive" scent that you're bound to find it boring if you like powerhouse perfumes. Innocuous is probably the word that best describes it.
Once you spray it on your wrist, you enjoy a delicate, feminine-yet-urban, somewhat sophisticated scent. The notes change quickly as the perfume evolves and you're delighted by the combination. "Hmmm, that's pleasant", you're thinking. "This might be my next favourite perfume". After 15-20 minutes, when you sniff your wrist again in an attempt to find out what the next notes are, you find out it's all gone. SWOOSH. Like the 50€ bill you payed for it at the store. All that is left is sorrow, dissappointment and dispair, and a REALLY faint scent that you can vaguely intuit if you press your nose really hard against your skin while inhaling madly. Ok, I might have exaggerated a little, but just for the purpose of making a point.
The remaining scent, which is reminiscent of a pleasant 3€ body spray, or a nice shower gel, will last for about 2 hours. I tried it on my skin, on my hair, on my scarf...I even tried it on my mother! And I kept getting the same innocuous, boring result.

arenee92

The majority of my fragrances are heavy, sweet, gourmand, fruity smells. While I love my collection, I've really been longing to own something lighter, something fresh, yet sophisticated. I've always admired Chloe's fragrances, but found the rose note unwearable on me. I found what I was searching for in See by Chloe.

Very easily your every day, put on without thinking about it perfume. Light, fresh, cozy, almost like a floral laundry detergent. I love the woody floral notes in this. It's crisp, and easy. I don't find it musky, or overly powdery at all, just a light, gentle floral. I'm not someone who changes scents based on season, but this is something I could see going all year round, this is very, very wearable, and I LOVE it!

Leximackenzie

A lovely everyday perfume. Extremely wearable, light and fresh with a crisp fruity, slightly floral scent. Lasts a fair amount of time, around the 5 hour mark for me.

This is different to the more mature scent of Chloe eau de parfum, but still has a hint of powdery floral to it. A very pretty fragrance.

morenita

My favourite summer fragrance, I love it sooo much. Ideal for daytime, for me it lasts 5-6 hours

lozzabelle1

Upon initial spray this perfume is reminiscent of a nice skin cream or sunscreen, which is pleasant enough, but not worth forking out a large amount of money for.

After it settles into the skin, however, this fragrance becomes a warm, cozy, Apple pie type of scent. Maybe I'm the only one who thinks this way, but the mixture of Apple blossom, vanilla and sandalwood combine in my opinion to form a delicious, dessert-smelling concoction.

The lasting power is fairly decent, around 8 hours on my skin, and this is the only perfume I own that has achieved numerous compliments from complete strangers.

Most reviews have classified this scent as a summer fragrance, but I prefer this cozy scent in the cooler months.

wayway2hotinaz

Very, very sweet (apple blossom) for me for about 1 1/2 hours, then it becomes lovely (jasmine, vanilla, sandalwood with just a touch of apple). It is quite musky! The sillage is moderate at first, then very close to my skin after a couple of hours. I like it okay, not love, but like. Also, it was completely off my skin within 6 hours.

labradorite

Smells like an apple garden in spring time, when the new shoots, sprouts and buds on the trees smell green and carry the promise of ripe green apples. I used to be a naughty child and actually kept breaking new sprouts off the trees just because I loved how they smelled under the thin layer of bark when they were still green inside.

See By Chloe brought those memories right back to me. It's a green, fruity, woody floral, but also very musky. All the while it remains gentle and innocent, laced with the faint smell of green apples from the beginning to the end. For something so delicate and light, this gem is outstandingly long lasting and I caught whispers of it throughout the day.

Eira Sol

LOVE at first sniff!
I´m very weak for wellrounded, comfortable and warm perfumes, and this one does it for me.
It lasts all day, has good sillage and makes you feel very feminine.

Not to sweet, not to heavy, just right!
GO BUY

Nikkafragrance

Spring in a bottle! Very longlasting, suitable for young ladies and perfect for office.

lizzygee0

This is a nice scent but so strong.
I have a perfume and lotion id love to swap. Inbox me :]

Light_Blue

I didn't get any sharpness. For me it is similar than Eau Fresh. Nice, decent, fresh and simple fragrance. But it does not last. That's why it is not on my whishlist. I just tested it in the store.

flowermom

I first stumbled upon 'see' as a lady standing in front of me in a queue smelt strongly of " clean hair" as I like " skin scents" ( cream, talc, hairspray etc) i enquired what the smell was " see, by chloe" she replied, the following week I purchased a bottle, to me, it smells very similar to "vosene" shampoo, I do get the vinegary apple smell, but its very shampooy!! Which I quite like, there's no great depth to this perfume, does last ok, it's by no means a "wow" perfume but that's ok!! I do like it alot would I repurchase?? Not sure, still got a large bottle to use up, but not sure I'd pay 50 odd quid for it again, as I say its " vosene" shampoo in a fancy bottle ( do love the bottle design tho!!) ;)
Edit- since writing this I have become alot more smitten with this perfume and will definatly re-purchase unless sadly it becomes discontinued, it really is a nice clean smell !!

dorseyhorsey

It smells like apple. It's not the same strong synthetic apple as the Be Delicious line, it's a gentler apple, appropriate for daytime or work. This one is fresh, playful, and fruity, so if that's what you're into, this might be good for you. It might not be for you if you don't like the idea of smelling like shampoo, because the apple blossom really is the most dominant note by far, so that and the low sillage can sometimes come across as shampoo-y.

It lasts 3-4 hours, but it's only really noticeable to others for the first hour or two. It works just fine to freshen up partway through the day, but I wish it lasted a little longer.

Kat_French

This is quite sharp and very strongly apple at first. It kind of reminds me of apple cider sometimes, and I agree that it has a sort of shampoo vibe on my skin too. After the first 15minutes of apple/cider/shampoo stuff, it becomes really nice and smooth on my skin. It's very soft vanilla with apple and lasts a while. I'm finding it more enjoyable now the weather is getting warmer here :)

Lolita7

This perfume is like a crisp apple !!
It's a cheerful light scent, young, flirty ... smells like spring, summer and smiles but while has a tender side that makes you feel good, like home.
In my skin is much more floral than sweet / fruity and has very good durability.
The bottle is adorable.
It may become my new signature scent.

****

Treacherous

Young, fresh, addictive, sweet, adorable. This is one of my top 5 fragrances. I had been searching for a nice fresh sweet fragrance, but couldn't find one, until I found this one. I loved it so much I had to buy the whole set. The opening is a fresh burst of appley goodness, and the dry down doesn't change that much, it remains fresh and pretty on my skin. I love this scent. The bottle is gorgeous and so is the packaging. Bright and happy, very much like the scent. A very good updated version of the traditional heavy florals of the old Chloe line. Only negative would be, that it is quite pricey.

annarox

This is a very sharp, uncomplicated smell on me. I'm getting the apple, but not the sweet, juicy apple I had been hoping for. This is one of those under-ripe apples that is a chore to eat, that you eat because you packed it in your lunch and it's supposed to be good for you. I also get a little bit of powder, which I am guessing was supposed to soften the sharp apple, but I happen to hate powdery smells. I am disappointed by this scent.

tessgreenham

I literally wanted this fragrance because of the commercials. They looked so fun!! But I had never really smelled the fragrance before, UNTIL TODAY. I went to the mall today to hit a couple of perfume stores and when I was at macy's I recognized it from the commercials, and I smelled it and I was like "yeesssssss" it is amazing. I didn't buy it at Macy's but once I got to sephora I just HAD to get a roller ball 1.0 Oz version. AND IT. IS. AMAZING. Literally has become one of my favorite fragrances within the night. When I got home and smelled it, initially I liked it but wasn't blown away (also actually spraying perfume is so much nicer than roller balls, but it's not all bad now it can travel with me). But as the night has progressed I have fallen completely head over heels for this perfume. However, I disagree with the top notes and bottom notes listed on here. I personally smell more of a sweet and light wood on first whiff, then as it settles in I smell the apple blossom more. I love this perfume so much though. It reminds me of a nice classy British lady drinking tea and lookin really cute while doing it. I ADORE THIS FRAGRANCE AND I LOVE IT WITH ALL OF MY HEART. yum yum yum. Definitely buying a big bottle soon.

Luthien999

On my skin See by Chloe smells like apple with vanilla, sandalwood, jasmine and musk. In my personal opinion, it is fresh and warm at the same time...I wear it at summer nights and I am going to wear it in autumn as well. My favourite one by Chloe.

InfirmièreParfumée

Chloe See - Mucho like ! It smells different. You know it when you smell it.

It's a soothing scent that makes one follow it around. It's a very lovely fragrance that fits even the younger population.

This fragrance cannot be considered powdery at all, not musky, not warm. There is a fresh, lovely and sweet feel to it that is very pleasing.

Very likable. Day or night, it's pretty much a good wear.

rachamacc

I liked this on first spray, red apple is what I smelled. But when it dried down there was this sickening sweet smell that I just couldn't stand. I'm not sure exactly what it was. I like green apple, maybe I can't handle apple blossom or ylang-ylang. Whatever it was I had to scrub this off within 10 minutes of spraying it. Not for me.

CozyCat

Oh gosh I love this! Fresh sweet crunchy red apples! Lots of them! Subtle florals, a soft clean musk and a welcoming hint of vanilla are there too...gets even better in the drydown, softer and sweeter abit more mature, but does not last that long (~5 hours on my skin). I think I love it because it smells like my beloved first perfume as a teen (Jean Arthes Amore Mio, the green bottle...now unavailable...Amore Mio was greener smelling though). It's just extremely pleasant and I could just drench myself in it...
BUT!
it doesn't smell like a Chloe...it smells...cheap....like a REALLY GOOD cheap (and non-synthetic smelling) EDT or body spray, the kind they used to release in the 90s, something you'd enjoy wearing daily, not something you'd imagine being released by Chloe and being sold at such a crazy high price. It smells like it shouldn't be sold for more than 20 to 25 bucks for the largest bottle. I feel like I can find something similar from VS or BBW, so that's where I'll look for these types of scents. I imagine that this scent is most suited to 10-16 year old girls with rich parents who can afford to keep them supplied with it. I say 10-16 year olds, because I find that this scent has a very innocent vibe to it, not young or old, just completely non-sexual, child-like and blissfully carefree.

I'll stick to Chloe's Love, my favorite Chloe by far.

AneV

I finally gave into myself and indulged.
WOW...on me it smells like apple blossom and honey,
Then it becomes more powdery and the Jasmine comes and goes.I also get occasional glimpses of the opening, like it never went away.In the end I get verbena (I know it isn't there) and crisp apple, but no vanilla.
I used a very small spray. It lasted for about 5 hrs,but I can still smell it on my wrist 8 hrs later

sazielenora

hi fragranticans!
sometimes my dear friend would come pay
me a visit and as a hairdresser ill be more than
hapy to give her a haicut! as my hands start doing
the job i couldnt help askin what perfume she is
wearing? it took me by suprised that she told me it
was see by chloe coz i swear i had a cheap spray
cologne which i bought at a local drugstore. and
i swear both share the same synthethic smell. but
dont let my words turn u off do try it under ur own
nose. for me this one doesnt match its reputation
under a big label such as chloe..good day!

Lybarra118

This fragrance is fun and quirky, yet still plenty mature.
I don't find it overly floral or...overly anything, really. It's just nice.
I've had it a year and have probably only worn it three times total.
I should probably give it away before it goes bad.

kay0981

See By Chloe is a beautiful, clean, and feminine fragrance. Whilst it retains a few qualities of a 'typical' fruity floral scent, there is something very unique about it... I can see how some people may find it a little underwhelming, but to me, See by Chloe is a simple, effortless beauty. It makes an impression without trying too hard. The overall scent has a very urban, chic and modern feel, but it is also quite vintage and romantic; very reminiscent of other, popular Chloe fragrances such as Love and Chloe Eau de Parfum.

The composition opens with bright apple blossom, which smells very fresh and light, like a warm summer breeze. It's a lovely, feminine opening, and there is something about it that makes it smell very 'perfumey'. This apple blossom note is done really well, and not necessarily how you'd expect. It's not sweet and juicy (like in many of the DKNY's Delicious fragrances); but it smells very floral, delicate and soft. It's dominant without being loud and screechy. After a while, an interesting musk note unfolds, which I guess is the tricky part of the composition. Accompanied by dry sandalwood and delicate vanilla, they create an unusual layer of quite contrasting accords. At this point, I can see how this fragrance may start bothering some people. I suppose it does smell a little bit as if you have just stepped into an old basement, but I'm not saying this as a bad point... This romantic, dusty, vintage feel is actually quite charming, and it feels very 'Chloe'. The freshness of the apple blossom (still present from the beginning)balances out the musky base, creating an unique, clean and very feminine composition. It's a harmony of old and new; – a concept so beautifully represented by the bird cage bottle design, which mirrors both modern and vintage qualities of See by Chloe.

I love this, but I still wouldn't recommend it as a blind buy. Whilst very versatile and comfortable to wear, this fragrance can be a little polarising because of the musky drydown. Just make sure you test it first, and hopefully you'll end up enjoying it as much as I do!

my colleague told me i smell like a beer hahahha

Aeris

I love the soft, romantic vibe the Chloe line of perfumes, purses, and clothing have. See by Chloe is the slightly edgier, more urban scent...but it still holds on to the romantic vibe. It smells mainly like Apple fritter of Apple pie overall. Yummy :) It's not going to go down in history as being groundbreaking, but it's a young and fun scent that I highly doubt would offend anyone. Wear this to a date and/or picnic at an urban central park!

I checked some reviews here and it's actually good to see that everyone has a different taste. Personally I find this fragrance beautiful. I don't care about the commercial where the girl looks little weird with her openened mouth or some videos...No clue what they're about. First I got bitter bergamot which disappeared in few minutes. What came than is calming, sensual smell of tea. I don't know but I smelled tea on my skin. Little like earl grey with some vanilla and apple cider. That slightly bitter smell of tea with sweet undernotes of sweet red apple and creamy light vanilla. It changed again after about half an hour when it happened to smell all like apple pie with cinammon, hints of vanilla and musk. Don't ask me how I got this, but it seems it played with my skin a very good game. Don't expect unbeliavable miracle. This fragrance is more down to earth, as a girl who wears it.
Sensual, girly, calming, reminds me of a beautiful girl with big eyes, very ambitious, young but elegant with her own style and personality.
I don't smell any old lady thing, no pungent parts. Can SEE it as a signature and desirable.

Why oh whyy the dislikes?

Ok, I can se "why". It's fruity. It's floral. It's not spectacular per se. But even so, It's way more "fun" and "uplifting" and "sparkly" than the "regular" Chloe scents, is it not?

I think so at least. It's a bit of an.. odd fragrance as well. I've heard poolwater beeing mentioned before. It has that sort of chlorine undertone. But that just makes me love it even more. Yhea. I'm also that kind of person that likes to sniff gasoline.

The body lotion in this one is absolutley spot on the perfume aswell, not stale or frowsy at all.

ScarlettX

At first it was light floral scent, very boring in my opinion.
Later it became musky and woody. I like those base notes much better. Base notes represent confident woman with style.
Sexy, intriguing and impressive.

BringUsAShrubbery

I expected this to be fresh and springy, but there is something that gives it an odd, sickly sweet smell. I think it might be the apple blossom mixed with jasmine. I was hoping to get some bergamot, but I can't detect it at all. I can't say I really enjoy it. I am interested to try the flanker though.

hanson26

I FINALLY FIGURED OUT WHAT THIS REMINDS ME OF!!! Ok so this has been bothering me since I first sniffed it on a magazine strip almost a year ago. It has always reminded me of a very distinct smell from my childhood, definitely a cosmetic product, something my mother or grandmother used. There's this Polish skin care brand that my mom would stock up on when we went to visit my aunt. The brand was AA but I don't remember what it stood for, just the AA logo on the bottles. Anyway, this perfume smells exactly like those products. Everyone saying it has a cosmetics type smell to it (more so skin/hair care than makeup) is absolutely right. That's what it always reminded me of too but now I finally got the specific product. I probably won't buy it but this is so nostalgic to me.

shanghaifleur

This was an instant headache for me. I really tried to like it, but See Chloe simply doesn't agree with me. I don't get any floral fruity vibe with this, to me it's a powdery fragrance through and through. It smells like a face cream or a conditioner, and although not listed I get a strong rice note. I think this perfume is quite unusual, and it's one of those perfumes that are either love it or hate it.
On a side note, when I was wearing this my husband asked me if I just had a glass of wine, because he found that it was smelling like one!...

ecerusen

sorry fans of chloe but this stuff smells like shampoo on me. very fresh and citrusy. fits for summertime. for a perfume which is launched at 2012, it is very ordinary. maybe floral fans can love it but i feel neutral about it.

SUHAD

I LOVE this fragrance I realy do :)

lyciumchld

On first test, See smells very reminiscent of a brighter, screechier Jimmy Choo. One might not like that, but despite the highly synthetic vibe I get from it, I quite like it. Like most Chloe fragrances, silage is fairly powerful. I can't yet speak on longevity, but if their other frags are any indication, then this is worth the money. On the want list it goes!

lovefrommetoyou

After sampling many fragrances, I keep going back to this one! LOVE it!

wonderlu

Usually i never really dislike perfumes, but this one...ohmy. i can wear almost whatever, but this one makes me feel sick after two sniffs:( i normally loove light yellow and pink perfumes, but this is a nogo from me.

Mooniq

A typical flowersweet spring fragrance, nothing special to me.

En typiskt blomsöt vårdoft, inget speciellt tycker jag..

Diychante

I bought the sample size and it was love at first sight, long lasting up to 3 hours and I can still smell it on my clothes. And then I bought the full bottle of 50ml, and so disappointed. The smell didn't even last for 5 minutes. Mine was EDP so I don't know what's wrong. I sold it right away. Too bad I had so much expectation on this one *sigh*

fullbottleworthy

Sometimes I think this smells like hairspray, and sometimes I think it smells like sake/rice. I dunno, I just can't get on board with this one. I've tried, but I just don't like it at all. It's probably the opposite of anything I'd want in a scent, but I can see why some people might like it. It's a bit of a weird scent. I do like other Chloe scents though.

Eirlys

I received a sample of this and immediately fell in love with the scent. It is very fresh and clean, really suitable for spring time. I think there's hint of apple in it, but not very overwhelming like the original DKNY Be Delicious. The bottle is super cute too, like a birdcage, I think the packaging of Chloe is always very chic.

However, I don't know why but this doesn't last long on me at all. I couldn't smell it on me after 2 hours, not even when I flip my hair (I usually spray perfume on my hair.) It's too bad though because I have Chloe EDP and that one lasts surprisingly a long time. But the poor longevity doesn't stop me from wearing this though, I just need to re-apply it a few times during the day.

misscherie07

it smell like water form toilet

mirisfrik

Some say is smells like hair spray. They aren't wrong. But it is a smell of nice-smelling hair spray so I don't mind. Fresh, like you are just out of the shower. Tried it yesterday and really liked it, now it is on my wishlist. On my skin staying power was about 5 hours.

0Romihi

This smells like aftershave on me. It smelled so good in the bottle and on my skin the first hour. Then it transformed into a musky, dark aftershave smell, with a hint of apples. It lasted the whole day

Dee5

Not long lasting on me. Smells ok but too light for my taste. I got this perfume for free that's why I even have it at all otherwise it wouldn't be on my vanity. Might be great for people with perfume allergies or for those who like very light scents but I will definitely not purchase another bottle.

rockegg

Swimming pool! I was so happy to read that I am not the only one smelling a pool. It's not chlorine, and I can't think of a particular sunscreen that smells like this so I don't know what it is. Little plastic floaties on children's arms or inflatable rings perhaps. In any case it is a happy smell to me. The emotional resonance by itself is good-time, happy day. So I have to say I like it. Is this what I'm looking for in a perfume for a grown woman like myself? No, it isn't. Am I sorry I have this on my wrists on this dismal gray January day? Not at all, it's a real day brightener.

By the way, lots of people have said it reminds them of this, that, and the other thing, and I can see why they said that. Before it settled into its final form it went through so many changes I didn't know if my nose was broken or what was going on. It was astringent, then pure vanilla, then a light floral, then aftershave, then floral again, and now swimming pool. It's a whole day in a bottle! Sort of like Everlasting Gobstoppers from the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, that tasted like all of the flavors of a complete meal in order as you sucked them.

kikinha

Another review here - I tried the regular EDP and liked it but ended up ordering the paint a scent one. Its is more like an oil than liquid and it does not last long. Also, the smell is a weaker than the regular version. I am stuck with it though since I ordered it in Nordstrom. Next time I am blinding buy I will use Sephora

kikinha

A chic version of Harajuky lovers Love or Music? Can't remember exactly since O had those years ago, but def. one of these two. I ordered a small bottle, simply because I really liked the scent on my skin and it lasts forever. Now, I am intrigued with the new Eau Fraiche. Let's wait till January and see what's gonna be

cdmarz

I like this perfume. It winds up smelling like apples, at times, apple wine or some sort of apple pastry. Unfortunately, while I do like apples, it's not exactly what I want..especially when it smells like I've been drinking apple wine..

Gingersnpr

It smells like a pool on me. Now I like pools and clean chlorine is an interesting theme. Not sure they meant it but........yup pool with apples. Too sweet though and I hardly ever do this but I'm washing this off my wrist.

joan100

I really love this fragrance despite some of the reviews! This is one of my ideas of an irresistable scent! It also really reminds you of some of the Burberry scents which I love as well. Quality scent in a quality bottle.

Irishys

A sales lady sprayed this on me, swearing I'd like it because my favorite is Burberry Brit (another fruity floral).

At first it smelled nice, a different, sort of spicy scent. Now after about an hours dry down, it smells strongly of honey...kind of cheap and old ladyish. I need to wash it off because it smells very strong on me.

Another one bites the dust...

kmcgrath

I thought this opened very nicely with floral notes but got musty as it died down. I thought it was interesting, but not enough to purchase. Overall, there's something about Chloe perfumes that smell a bit synthetic to me.

kirtylou

I honestly did not think I would like this AT ALL. It is described as a fruity floral and I was like, "meh, boring, probably just another juicy sugar bomb". I also don't like apple in frags and really dislike the DKNY Be Delicious line (smells like Herbal Essence shampoo on me, blech). However, when I was bored and wandering around in Sephora I decided to give this a spray because I couldn't find the perfume I was looking for. The scent stuck with me and I LOVED it. This smells more like a spicy hot apple pie, not like a cool crisp fresh apple. I love the muskiness to it. I purchased it and it is my favorite fall scent, PERFECT for the colder weather and cool spicy bite in the air. Sillage and longevity are both very good, a little TOO good if you plan on wearing this in the office on a hot day, so spray lightly. One of my new favorites. Chloe is quickly becoming one of my favorite houses.

Giezza

Beside Chloe women edp, this one is my other favorite perfume from Chloe. One thing that I love the most is, not many people in my circle know about this perfume.

It smells delicious but not in a candy way. It's a happy, bright and playful fragrance.
Thank God the staying power is better than Chloe women on my skin. It can last all day long.

Diychante

Just got my vial and I loved it! My husband normally is very critical about my perfume, he hates Fancy by Jessica Simpson, but he's ok with this one. And I feel like See by Chloe is a sweet yet elegant fragrance, last 2-4 hours, I can still smell it afterva long day at work. Love it! Will get the fill bottle soon

ojosverdes

I love the house of Chloe so I may be biased in this review. I went from sampling it to loving it and getting a full bottle. It has become my signature scent and I have over 100 bottles. Simply smells fantastic.

The scent: Unique, comforting, approachable and strives to keep things balanced. It's a restrained beauty, the scent in the cage snapped bottle is just waiting to release its beauty. This scent reminds me of the girl that is beautiful and takes care of herself and is fashionable and know how to dress. but yet sometimes downplays her beauty and dresses down and is not trying too hard to be perfect. The scent is just that! It's got the transparency crystalline quality Chloe scents possess. This quality makes it versatile. You can wear the scent any time of year anywhere and you don't have to think too hard about choosing a scent yet you know that your scent will represent you. The apple note is so beautiful blended with the floral aspect of the scent. Perfectly balanced with the woodsy dry down. I can see myself wearing this scent around Christmas time as we'll. The scent it's youthful and sophisticated but not limited to an age group.

The staying power and silage is great on me. I usually spray my clothes and hair as opposed to skin.

The bottle representative of the scent itself. Minimalist yet interesting enough to be looked at and handled. Glass is quite heavy. It's got a vintage feel to it just as the other Chloe scents.

I've used 3/4 of a bottle in a short time that's saying a lot when you've got as many bottles as I do. I can see myself buying a replacement bottle after this one runs out or a backup Bottle if found at a good price.

If you liked the original Chloe Edp and you like sophisticated scents then you might enjoy this one too.

Misspermata

Smells pleasant. I didn't smell any powder with this perfume (thank goodness). It's definitely light and floral. Reminds me of spring. It was strong enough, not overpowering. The scent lasted for a while, which is great. It is very youthful. The lady at the counter did not like it at all, but I loved it.

hedward

On my skin this smells like warm apple cider, piss and ammonia. Absolutely horrifying. Very synthetic and nothing outstading. No thank you.

Hd82

Biggest perfume lesson ever: test it on your skin before you buy it please! On the paper tester it was the most unique and heavenly scent I had smelled in a long time, so I bought it. Sadly on my skin it turns sickeningly sweet and cloying, almost like a sugary apple juice concentrate. Very disappointed and don't know what to do with the bottle now :/

Mellyhelly

Mmm... I tried this See by Chloe a few times because I really admire Chloe House work, but my first impression was not so positive. I thought: Oh, here it comes, another transparent one to soothe teenagers' tastes for fruit&flower!
Quite useless, considering all Chloe flankers that could serve the scope.
After a few times I came to consider it a perfume on its own and a personality, but I don't like it so much to choose it for me. If I was given it I would probably wear it and I guess my bf would be happier than my usual choices, but not me.
the listed notes make no sense to my nose.
Apple blossom? Or rather pear peel? Maybe they smell similar.
Ylang Ylang? Where? The thick typical yellowish ylang seems bleached.
I also smell a slightly musty wood similar to tobacco leaves, similar to old Cacharel Eau d'Eden (bbrrr!!)
Anyway it's a nice modern feminine scent and quite longlasting. A perfume for a carefree girl with some taste.

becca.rose95

I know a lot of people dislike this fragrance but I love it. It's light and fresh - a perfect spring scent, in my opinion. And I feel that it can be worn by any age.

stemziez

This is now my second, maybe third review on this one. This is the perfume that when I first tried it, I HATED it. I smelled stale beer and then just something gross. I didn't understand people who bought it or why they wanted it.

That has changed, though. And honestly, the notes "floral, woody, white floral, musky, fruity" don't seem accurate to me and that is not what I associate what I'm smelling with it at all. I smell something delicious, and I can't figure out what it is. Like an ingredient in some pastry or dessert made around the Holidays. Mayben it's the apple, like cinnamon apples but with a burnt crunchy brown sugar crust, Lord I don't know, I'm rambling here, I just can't figure it out. It's probably one of the most unique perfumes I've ever smelled, hence why I keep reviewing it and it's got my brain going in every which way. I just haven't committed to buying it yet. I'm going to try some on and "take it for a spin", and see how I feel about it after that. I just know after spraying it on my wrist to get a 6th, 7th, 8th... opinion about it (because it's always changing), I still find myself thinking "mmmmmmmmm... yum" after smelling it and how it changes over time. And don't even get me started on the "paint a scent" idea. I LOVE that, and I'm going to walk over to Macy's in a minute now to paint my wrist, now that this fragrance is on my damn mind again.

Long story short: I originally hated it. Now I'm infatuated with it.

Annica

Tested today.I think it's a nice and inoffensive fragrance. Slightly bitter fruit in the middle phase, but once it has settled on the skin the vanilla has softened it quite a bit.

First of all I experienced the scent as the most delicious of desserts and the SA probably got tired of all my aaaah!!-s and mmmmmm!!-s. I was completely mesmerized by the scent. When I came home after an hour I took a second sniff on my wrist but then it had turned slightly bitter and I came to think of beer. (?) It´s all about body chemistry I guess. :) Thankfully, the vanilla came through after a while. So far it is a Like, not Love from me. If the initial scent had stayed throughout, I wouldn´t hesitate to buy a FB. It was that GOOD.

Update: 7 hours later the scent is still there, Very soft, very nice. No bitterness whatsoever.

angelic4296

OK, so as context as to how much I LOVE this scent, I had, LAST DECEMBER, put myself on a perfume buying BAN. I admittedly had gotten a bit ridiculous in my perfume buying habits (my tried and tested signatures are Givenchy Very Irresistible L'Intense - the antithesis of See by Chloe - and Narciso Rodriguez for Her EDT, the black bottle). Therefore, I decided that I was going to make an effort to use some of my current scents up before investing in new ones. However, as of September 17, 2013, my ban has been broken with THIS scent.
It's amazing. If you're a girl who enjoys scents that could be mistaken for a fresh masculine scent, especially in the dry down, you'll love this. On the other hand, the heart of the fragrance is so light and feminine. It really is the best of both worlds. It's one of those fragrances that will have you lifting your wrist to your nose every few minutes. One of THOSE perfumes. It really is a lovely scent, and I can't say I'm sorry that my ban was broken because this scent is WORTH IT.

Cairo Rose

So I have this little vial sample in my bag and decided to try it tonight...First I get this sentimental apple blossom (my grandmother's favorite flower). It has this retro feel to it...like a scent that has sucked me back to the 70s. As it dries down it begins to transform into a fresh apple pie slice just a hint of spice and creamy vanilla ice cream sliding around on a polished wood plate. I like it...fresh & innocent.

Purrbaby

If the actual perfume smells like it does in the magazine insert, then I have to have it. The first smell I noticed was a honey smell. It's a heavier smelling perfume, but it's intoxicating. I can't quit smelling that insert.

lcommisso

This smells very clean and floral, but like other Chloe fragrances, has a sharp powder note that just results in giving me a headache.

Salken

Again I usually dont look at these types of fragrances but was given as sample and fell inlove with this one. I do like Chloe Narcisse also but this one is stunning and another that lingers for many hrs. Still a little pricey though for larger bottle.

BrittneyN

It is an amazing fragrance IMO. Smells really clean. I agree that there is an almost apple pie like note to it, and I find it comforting & delicious. I absolutely love it. I think it is good for summer, & perfect for the fall.

kathy_g

This perfume play tricks on me.. First I went through a pile of magazines in my local supermarket trying to find which one has sample of this divine scent. I found it! Vogue... See by Chloe.. Something in this scent caught me so tight I was itchy to come home soon and order a sample. It came, I sprayed and...almost chocked.. Too strong...but in an hour I had this aura that attired my so much..omg..I love it! It's great complex perfume, warm and intriguing..I bough 100 ml and never felt sorry.

margoess

It looks like I'm 0 for 2 with Chloe fragrances so far... I received a sample of this recently and, since I had already used up my available test spots for the night, sprayed it on a card first just to check it out. My first thought was it smelled *exactly* like walking into a certain store in the mall (Aerie? The Gap? One of those shops that uses a lot of lighter colored woods and wants to give off a "clean" vibe); and this would be just the scent that they pumped in to make all the clothes seem fresh and clean and youthful. So, it seemed relatively inoffensive, if not exciting, and I set the sample card on my nightstand and saved See for another day.

The next day, I was sitting in my bedroom and kept getting wafts of the same kind of sickly sweet, kind of rotting waxy flower note that turned me off of the regular Chloe EDP. I couldn't figure out where it was coming from until I remembered the card sitting on my nightstand--but it smelled so different from what I remember from the day before that I couldn't believe that could be the source. Another sniff seemed to prove otherwise; the horrible smell was coming from the card, which I quickly tossed into the kitchen garbage.

One day later(!), I was getting those wafts again. After briefly considering whether I was going nuts or experiencing some sort of pre-stroke event, I homed in on the sample atomizer on my dresser. It had leaked a little into its cap during shipping, so it was giving off quite a lot of scent and was indeed the source of that sickly sweet smell I kept getting.

It's odd, because See and Chloe EDP don't have any notes in common listed, but there's something about both of them that my nose just cannot stand... Cute bottle, though!

umtaleb

It is very weak. Had to strain to smell it. Immediately eaten by my skin. Left a vague trace of powdery apple-floral. Almost like an eau de cologne

Perhaps suitable for those that enjoy light scents.

CycoEva

I really loved my first sample of it. I ordered more samples and now I don't love it. It's okay and I still like it but not enough to purchase it, it dries down to a nice green apple scent. It just isn't the right scent for me. I'm glad I only paid for sample viles (very cheap on ebay) instead of a whole bottle at Nordys.

marily

This fragrance is very soft, musky, fruity at first and it dries down to a clean and fresh scent.....it lasts all day and I can't resist of smelling my wrist!!!! suitable for all seasons in my opinion!!!!

alanav09

loove honey and i loooveeee apples (but for some reason could never wear the DKNYs)

This is just APPLE PIE/APPLE FRITTER/ WARM APPLE CIDER like some have already mentioned. u banged it on the head! its sooo cozy. i could for sure see myself wearing this in the winters. i kept a sample in my bag next to my earbuds, and every time i plugged them in i would smell it! such a wonderful surprise each time.

don't know if its 'signature'-type, it IS a pretty heady apple pie smell. but its perfect in small amounts, in such a way that you catch a 'whiff' of it every now and then.

The Swedish girl

Horrific apple in the topnote, it smells just like beer!

But the drydown is nice. Rosy and soft.

fawnmarie

I smiled while reading missk's review, because what immediately came to mind when I tried Chloe See was an apple fritter! Crisp and glazed outside, with warm, soft dough and fruit inside. To me, this fragrance is more gourmand than floral. I'm a big fan of sandalwood, cinnamon, and vanilla, which are very present in this scent. It's delicious, comforting. Makes me want to sit at a corner table in a cozy coffeehouse with a latte and a big apple fritter! The presence of spicy cinnamon keeps this perfume from smelling shampoo-like, in my opinion.

Larabella

Clean bergamot with a sweet edge. Middle notes remind me of honey and the sandalwood finish is somewhat powdery and feminine.

This doesn't smell "cheap" or "shampoo" like to me. It smells sophisticated. Strongly reminiscent of 'Burberry for Men' - but ladylike.

My fiancé loves it! : )

MsDana

I personally adore this fresh & crisp scent. Some people cannot wear apple based scents, but those that can will love it, on my body I get the crisp apple scent paired with the Jasmine, then a dry down of musk and sandalwood and Ylang Ylang. It does not smell like shampoo on me nor is it synthetic at all, but on some people it might be depending on their body chemistry I guess. I like it because on me it is a crisp, & fresh fragrance, great for summer & the fall. I have been complemented numerous times when I where it too, my BF likes it a lot as well, and sometimes will wear it himself, I love it on him too, it can be a unisex fragrance IMO.

Athens

I have been searching for a new perfume lately and I have tried many different ones on my skin, looking for a new special scent as usual.
Today I have tested this one and it's a very interesting perfume, the scent is really extraordinary. Apple blossom gives a feeling of freshness and cleanness, so much that it alomst reminds me of shampoo!
Also, it lasts quite long, it's been over 5 hours since I have sprayed it on my wrist and it still smells with the same intense as the time I had it sprayed, at least on my skin.
I can't stop sniffing it, it's a very special scent as all of Chloe perfumes of course. Totally recommended to those who like fresh and clean scents in perfumes.

red gloves

Hmmmmm, I have mixed feelings about that fragrance.

On me it smells the same from the first second to the last drying moments... it's youthful and sweet, but it gives me slight headache, unfortunately....

One of the notes doesn't suit me I guess...

MsDana

It's amazing how different peoples body chemistry can work with a scent, on me this is a simple, fresh, crisp, and very clean scent, nothing synthetic at all. I was sure this scent would work on anyone, it is almost unisex in its scent, but on some people I guess not. I still like it a lot though.

sky74

This is awfull! Smells synthetic. I really hate it. I can't believe it's from the same house as "Love by Chloe", my beloved.

christineay

This perfume smells completely different on paper strips and on your skin! On me, the sharp, crisp and fruity top note is gone within 5 mins, and what leaves behind is simply amazing. This is very sweet like honey, with a hint of vanilla. This makes me feel very young and joyful. I am wearing it every day and just can't have enough of it!

fletch

I'm struggling to think of an apt word to describe this fragrance......dysfunctional.

sherapop

I could swear that See by Chloé is one of the Marc Jacobs Lola flankers poured into a new bottle. I wouldn't hold it past Coty Prestige, as there has been a lot of homogenization going on among the houses which it now rules. Fruity-floral frags one and all, with no discernible natural notes. The "vanilla flavor" is probably what reminded me most immediately of Lola, though it is much fainter in this composition.

I received a nice-sized test-tube vial of this fragrance (4 ml), but in this case they'd be better off sticking with the visual marketing hype so that people buy before they try. Not for me. I have not seen the bottle in person, but from a distance it looks very attractive. Hey, wait a minute: isn't it very similar to the Balenciaga Paris bottle? Now that's an interesting marketing tack: use the bottle of an already successful perfume so that the associations carry over to the new launch.

It does seem as though bottles are really the focus of the big mainstream houses these days. Alas, the golden days of perfumery appear to be behind us...

tinyxxangel

I just tried this fragrance today. Even after my nighttime shower, the fragrance persists and can be smelled about 6 inches off teh surface of the skin.

On my skin, the fragrance itself quite interesting. There is a slight punch of fruit, small enough that it doesn't mess with the core of the fragrance but lends a bright positivity to it as fruits often do. The florals are chic and elegant, and the base is on the masculine side, but not too masculine that I wouldn't wear it.

This fragrance is one I would welcome in the workplace. It speaks to me of an independent, head strong woman who can and will speak for herself. She gets up in the morning and arrives to work on time, excelling at her job in a way that others do not.

I have never had the pleasure of trying Jo Malone Grapefruit myself (yet!), but from the reviews of it I imagine this would be slightly similiar to it in that it is a chic, modern scent that is slightly masculine but not enough to be deemed a unisex scent. The florals keep it feminine.

MsDana

Very nice, clean, fresh, a little floral, and just a bit fruity scent! I usually stay away from anything with Vanilla as it does not work with me, but this one worked well probably due to the stronger sandalwood undertone. I really like it, a great summer scent, works for teen girls too as it is not overpowering. I would buy this again.

floralfragrance

This is a very sharp floral with powdery undertones. Gives a very fresh feeling. I agree that this is not for everyone, but for me it is very unique, distinctive and pretty. Similar to Jo Malone scents actually, elegantly floral. I find it most suitible for ages 20-30. You would like this if you like nectarine blossom and honey (JM) kind of scents :)

AngelaAngela

Total scrubber! I gave it thirty minutes to work with my chemistry, but the heady white flower syrup started to bring on a headache. Historically I do terrible with apple flower scents- the apple turns sour and chemically on me. Chloe See makes me smell like I went into a musky bar, and rolled on the sticky floor after ladies spilled multiple Apple infused Vodka drinks on the floor.

I can respect what others see in this scent. The bottle is beautiful, and the notes like Jasmine was sweet and ripe for a few seconds, and the Ylang Ylang may also make a lovely debut. I really wish I could do Apple Blossom scents.

I am planning on testing a few other Chloe scents to compare and contrast.

See by Chloe is a fruity and tart apple scent. It is considerably more youthful smelling than Chloe EDP and Love by Chloe.

This is easily my favourite from the current Chloe lineup. I really enjoy the fresh and crisp qualities found in this composition. When I first smelt See by Chloe I was reminded of a warm apple pie.

See by Chloe does have a slightly gourmand feel, however I wouldn't call it sweet, even though a vanilla accord is present. It is a well-composed fruity floral, a cut above most fragrances from this genre.

I'm surprised to see so many dislikes on this page. I just assumed that people would embrace See by Chloe in the same way they latched on to Chloe EDP when it was first released. I honestly consider See by Chloe the most inoffensive of the entire Chloe range, older scents included.

It reminds me of Tocca's Giulietta, another gorgeous apple fragrance. They are both worth checking out, especially if you're tired of smelling synthetic apple interpretations. Even those mourning the loss of Joop! All About Eve might find some comfort in smelling See by Chloe.

The sillage is fairly strong, but not overwhelming, however the lasting power could be better. I would recommend wearing See by Chloe during Spring and Summer, however it could be worn during the cooler months also, due to the vanilla and sandalwood drydown.

Euch! I am a fan of all things Chloe but this is awful. It reminds me of something but I can't put my finger on what it is... something to do with the dentist, the mouth rinse maybe? Or is it germolene? It is sickly sweet with something clinical mixed in, thank goodness I didn't go for the blind buy I almost had a few days ago.

First off, me and Chloe don't get along in general, I find their fragrances rather....insipid for lack of a better word. Vera Wang does the same to me. Irritatingly mainstream, repetitive, foo foo fluff. BUT I smelled this in a magazine without even getting to the actual sample advert and was intrigued at the smell wafting from between the pages and before I looked at anything else, I just HAD to see where it was coming from so when I got to the ad, the name just struck me dumb because I was NOT expecting THIS from Chloe of all houses.
I was a little apprehensive about being so crazy over this scent because usually when I smell something in a magazine ad, I'm usually infuriatingly disappointed so I proceeded with caution to a Bloomingdales and gave it a spritz and went about my shopping for an hour or two and I just could not stop smelling my wrist every 15 mins. I just ADORE this scent!!! Its a soapy/powdery honeyed apple heaven. I can see where some may not like this and deem it too sickly sweet but as with any scent, they all translate differently on different people. This one loves me and doesn't go sour at all. Its quite an unusual scent to me and stood out (which hasnt happened for me in years), musky but crisp too...So clean! I don't know how it manages to be both but to me it does.
I'm in LOVE and for once, suitably impressed by Chloe. Hats off to them, miracles do happen!!!

Love See by Chloe its light crisp and clean and warm all in one. Long lasting on me which was surprised me. Usually the lighter the scent the less stay power. Not a fan of the other scents in the Chloe line. See is my new favorite. Great spring and summer scent I can see myself wearing in fall and winter. Its not offensive nor did it give me a headache or make me sneeze. Could careless if its geared toward the younger crowd I love it

Beautiful apple blossom shampoo with vanilla. I love it. It's sweet and rich. It's very beautiful warm and sexy.

Inoffencive and forgettable. Opens up with a nice demure floral bouquet. Dries down to fluffy soap and gets more sour before it disappeares. Medium sillage. It is marketed towards the young woman, although I don't quite see young women using this. It's neither urban nor trendy like the See production line is marketed to be. I think this'll be more popular with women in their thirties.
I like the bottle design though.
