Something about it reminds me of Kirke but just 'gone girly'. Theres a lingering pungy sharpness to it. Perhaps the musk and pear?

This fragrance is more mature than I thought it would be. I like this but I never reach for it, It's a sweet woody floral. I could see this being a signature scent for some. Beautiful bottle.

It starts off with sour raspberry mixed with a hint of citrus. Bearable, but not fantastic.

Then, after a few moments, the marshmallows with a hit of a florals take over and that's when the real beauty of this scent is revealed. It's very well balanced and beautiful, candy-like. A bit of a musky note in the drydown is present too.

It would be perfect for people who like very sweet fragrances (like Fantasy, but Ari is not as strong, it's more delicate but in a good way).

Overall, it's a very nice, feminine perfume.

This didn't last longer than an hour on my skin. What I did smell before it disappeared was quite nice. Pretty and very sweet. I can imagine this being very popular with teenagers.

Bold sweet vanilla! The fruits help to support the sweetness with a bit of tartness. The florals are mild. A subtle hint of tobacco. It’s a fun fragrance!

If u like Gucci Flora Gourgeous Gardenia, u will like this one. 90% similar.

I noticed today (a rainy spring day) that it has a faint hint of an accord from Dior Svelte.

yumm it smells like fruity n marshmellows so good and lasts pretty good def reccomend and it sometimes gives me a headache but its so good for people who like gourmand girly perfume

One of the perfumes in the "reminds me of" section is Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia which I couldn't wear because of the soil-like smell of patchouli in it. Ari is unbelievably similar to Gorgeous Gardenia without the patchouli. It was a blind buy and these two being listed as similar perfumes was one of the reasons for me to get it because I was looking for a fix-it perfume, having been partially fascinated by Gorgeous Gardenia nonetheless. It is undeniably more synthetic-smelling but not enough to put you off if you typically go for stuff like Pink Sugar or Britney Spears perfumes. Ari is everything Gorgeous Gardenia could have been: sweet, nymphet-like, soft, clean and dreamy. The drydown reminds me a lot of Miss Dior EDP 2021 with how musky-vanilla it is. It also smells a bit like makeup for teenagers from 2000s, maybe because it has a plastic note the same way Pink Sugar does. Overall I quite like it.

As I sprayed it, my mom went, "Too sweet!" although I personally don't think it's too much - I expected sweeter - but then again I love Pink Sugar which is the sweetest one I've ever tried. Compared to it, Ari is more like a happy medium, so if you're in the mood for something toothachingly sweet, this isn't exactly that. It's also inoffensive and watery like an EDT (or even a body mist) and for that reason I might not want to repurchase because there's not enough intensity for me, but it's definitely a cut above most celeb frags. It doesn't smell refined, sure, but nor is it annoyingly cheap. And for what it's worth, it's easier to find AG perfumes on sale as opposed to perfumes of house Dior or Gucci. If you can get a good deal, why the heck not?

So yeah. Putting the chronological order of these perfumes' release aside: two duds Miss Dior EDP 2021 and Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia had a baby that is Ari, and the baby, not without flaws of her own of course, managed to get only the good traits from them. Then she got under cool aunty Pink Sugar's influence and the rest is history.

This is a pretty sweet fragrance that smells quite juvenile to me. When first applied I would definitely mistake it for a Juicy Couture flanker. It fades super quickly and then you are just left with a slight powderiness. I think I would have liked this fragrance in high school but it no longer matches my scent preferences.

I love this perfume, it’s a fluffy, sweet and fresh scent perfect as an every day scent but also works for the night. Its sugary raspberries mostly, with that fluffy marshmallow and musk and the aquatic florals add a gorgeous freshness. It sounds crazy but, choosing between parfums de Marley oriana or ari, I chose ari. Although this is a celeb perfume, the scent and longevity is just miles better, with that similar sweet marshmallow scent profile. Longevity is 8+ hours on myself and I’ve received many compliments, most recently a lady at the supermarket told me I smelt amazing, asked what perfume it was and told me I smelt “so sweet and fresh” :).
10/10, just get it gals

Super sweet and fruity, but just pulls a bit too floral on my skin. It has moderate sillage and lasts about 8 hours. In terms of perfumes listed as similar—

Mariah Carey used to have perfumes out with the butterfly lids , this smells a lot like me of those I used to have . I like it but I think it might be too young for me , I’ll get a tester and try it out but I definitely want to get it for my daughter Ari .

I bought it because many people like it. but... I don't understand why. it starts off nice, but the marshmallow note hits the nose all the time. because of this, I don't even understand what season to wear it in... It is too heavy for warm weather and light for winter. I don't know what to do with Ari now.

This is so juicy, pretty and feminine. I wouldn't describe it as immature as some people here do. It's balanced, not overly sweet, thanks to the freshness of the fruits. And the bottle is gorgeous ❤️ A crowdpleaser in the best way possible.

At first, I wasn’t impressed by this scent as it seemed a bit cloying for me. I had a tester of this and decided to wear it anyway. The amount of compliments I got could not be compared to any other perfume I have... my friends, colleagues, my boyfriend, everyone who came into my space told me I smelled amazing . I am a sweet scent lover so I grew to like it and because I got ton of compliments from everyone I became biased lol. But I think, genuinely, it is very nice, sweet-fruity-citrusy-powdery feminine scent. Still, I wouldn’t say that it’s a summer scent, it’s perfectly cozy for winter, fall and maybe spring. Perfect for night and date time. It’s so good it got me gatekeeping.
Layer this with parfumes de Marly oriana and thank me later. Muah. Improves the longevity x1000 and they are quite similar (funny how names are similar too haha)

Sweet, sugary, and fruity.

Smells exactly like a fragrance Juicy Couture would come out with. The only thing I don’t like about it, is that you can barely smell it after an hour.

Unless you’re an Ariana fan, I wouldn’t bother with this and instead just buy Juicy Couture Gold Couture.

I’m reading a lot of reviews about this being more a juvenile scent. For my body chemistry in my 40s , I don’t believe it , that’s just hogwash. lol
I have always been a fan of Sweet Gourmand scents they have always smelt so nice on me for the most part and I am not the only one that thinks so. I always get compliments on this one as well. 👏🏻

Ari , is a perfect balanced blend of Sweet and Freshness, absolutely beautiful!! I just love it and will always be a part of my collection as long as they keep it on the shelf’s. 😍
Longevity is about 6-8 hours but can smell it close to the skin up to about 12 hrs. It can be worn every season all year round, morning or night .

I understand this is only my opinion and not everyone’s body chemistry with perfumes are the same, though I still think if you love to smell sweet and yummy, that you should not put a “Juvenile “ stamp on it. Wear it, if it smells great and makes you happy at any age.

Smells good! Fruity sweet scent!! I get floral scent too but the fruity notes are more prominent for this bottle of juice (: The store I got this from had like testers for Moonlight and Sweet Like Candy as well, I thought I was gonna end up getting Moonlight because it has the best bottle amongst the 3. Turns out that my nose enjoyed Ari best, a lot more than it did with Moonlight and SLC. Some perfumes have overpowering raspberry smell that smells cheap but I am so glad this doesn't!

It even smelled good to me (surprisingly for the celeb fragrance) - light, pleasant sweet scent
but that LIGHT part was its actual weakest part: i wanted better projection & lasting power

Ari is a decent enough every day fragrance as in there's nothing in it that I find disagreeable scent-wise, but I just don't think that there's anything in it that makes this fragrance stand out from the sea of other fruity/floral gourmands that are on the market: it opens with watery pear & raspberries,that is backed by a quiet powdered underdeveloped floral bouquet that is focused around a gentle rose. A combination of marshmallow & musk-infused vanilla is very quick to develop alongside the fruits & florals, and this combo lasts throughout the perfume's wear and overpowers everything.

I wish that I could describe everything better for a informative review, but the blend for Ari is very linear on me, as the vanilla & marshmallow are by far the strongest scent notes, and the combo mixes almost everything else that is going on too closely together for me to differentiate between very well.

The sillage and longevity are so-so; nothing great at 5 to 6 hours & very little aura on me, in comparison to other people. However I'll be fair and point out that there are plenty of worse offenders out there. As far as I'm concerned it is the bottle for Ari that is the most impressive and unique feature about the perfume - although it digs into my palm when I spray it.


To sum it up; Ari is not a bad fragrance, but there's nothing in that is special to me either. I'd best describe Ari as being one of those fragrances which you wouldn't spend money on full price, but would wear happily enough if you got it on offer, or as a gift.

So in love with Ari. A beautiful combination of fruity and floral, with the subtle rose and musk giving it a sexy edge that I can't get enough of. The only downside (and it's a big one): doesn't really last on me. Probably going on an endless hunt now to find a more amped up version of this heavenly concoction...

I just got this perfume today and only realized that I bought the set (EDP, lotion, and shower gel) when I received the items—silly me.

The bottle is cute with its white pom-pom. The scent is indeed sweet but not cloying. It also evokes a comforting feeling when you smell it, giving off happy vibes. Compared to Britney Spears Fantasy, I prefer this one more because Fantasy can be a little cloying, especially if you spray too much. I am pleasantly surprised by Ari. I wasn't expecting to love it, as I'm not a fan of Ariana, but this perfume of hers, 100 percent. It is definitely sweet, powdery, and citrusy. The fruitiness, not so much. In any case, I am happy with it. The only issue is the pom-pom—it can be a little annoying when you hold the bottle.

This is a cute, feminine, sweet scent which is easy to wear.

I can’t pick out many notes, it’s not the strongest or the longest-lasting but…I love it.

Fragrantica can get a bit academic but: I’ll reach for this loads and it makes me feel good - and isn’t that what perfume is all about?

Edit: I’ve been wearing this quite frequently, I’ve bought a 100ml bottle to back up my opened one and I’ve received loads of compliments on it.
I can now pick out the raspberry, musk and vanilla here. The longevity is really decent, although the sillage isn’t huge - but I’ll forgive it because it’s cheap as chips.
Overall, I love this. If I ever cut my collection down to a capsule, this would survive the cull. Delightful!

I loooove this scent. It’s the first Ariana perfume that I’ve actually decided to spend money on, and it’s so worth it in my opinion. I’ve smelt all of them in person, and I know mod vanilla seems to be a fan favourite but personally, I didn’t really like it and it didn’t seem worth the price to me. Ari on the other hand, I love. When I smelt it in store it was alright, but when I smelt it at home it smelt different and I really loved it. To me, it’s a very raspberry and marshmallowy scent. The opening is very much raspberry, almost a sparkling raspberry type of vibe, and the dry down is sweet marshmallow. I don’t find the fragrance to be too sweet at all, and to me it’s perfect for an everyday wear. It lasts around 6-8 hours on my skin, which I was not expecting and the projection is not to strong, but still enough to get compliments on. Personally, this and mod blush are my favourite Ariana fragrances and I would definitely repurchase this. I’ve read comments of people saying it smells cheap or synthetic, but to me it really doesn’t. The bottle is lovely too, it feels heavy and luxurious for the price it was (I paid £35 for a 100ml bottle during a sale). I find the pom pom to be a really fun touch too.

All I’m getting is Febreze. I’m hoping time will aerate the bottle, but it’s not great at the moment. I like just about every scent, but this one is a massive miss for me.

I like it, and every note except Lily of the valley is right up my alley, but on me I smell flat beer, just a hint, but it’s there. I get the same beer smell from some of the BBW strawberry scents and some of Paris Hilton’s perfumes. Also, it’s weak and not much longevity. It leaves me longing for Valentino Donna in Roma or D&G Pour Femme. I will not repurchase.

I tried to like this since I love cloud but I just don't. cloying type of sweet. Smells like the store Claires. Something a elementary/middle school girl would like thinking they give "that girl" energy when really it just smells cheap.

This isn't my favorite scent from ariana but I still enjoy it, it's a more clean scent imo, although the body spray probably isn't as sweet as the perfume. At first spray I immediately smell the pear & a hint of the grapefruit & then the musky marshmallow in the dry down which I love a good marshmallow 🤍

I'd say this scent is perfect for the spring! Considering I have the body mist I can't speak much on the lasting power, pretty standard for a mist, I usually reapply at school.

My final rating is a 7/10 but I would love to get the actual perfume of it. I got the mist for $6 at Marshalls so pretty good for the price. I'd say this is definitely blind buy safe, its fuity, sweet, & musky. 🐇

Alright so I went on a little journey to liking this ine because at first I wrote it off as the typical fruity perfume. Because it kinda is…HOWEVER; I have found when I wear this people around me (who are used to me smelling good all the time) comment that I smell good every time I wear it. Its so unassuming, but Ive come to find it so easy and cozy to spray all over. Its nothing new but its still really pleasant and feminine. Great affordable everyday feminine fruity sweet without being too much.

I don't love the opening of this scent, but the dry down is really nice. Quite sweet but in the best way possible, very warm and cozy. I get the marshmallow note the most but the fruity and floral notes are quite nice too and blend very well together. I would say this could be worn any season, day or night, though probably more of a fall/winter scent.

I got this when it first released. I really enjoy it. I LOVE sweet scents and this definitely fits the bill. It is fruity for the most part but the marshmallow really comes through too. I think it is a delicious gourmand. It lasts pretty well on my skin, about 8 hours, and I'd say sillage is close to the skin-a slight trail, depending on how you spray. I recommend this for those that love sweet, fun fragrances. I think it's a good buy for the price.

Hello everyone!
I bought this perfume today and this was the journey.
First spray: I get this vibes of Acqua de Parisis, La vie est belle and I bit of one of Britney’s Fantasy that my sis had to the point I was considering passing it to her or my niece
Second sniff: I get the strongest scent ever which I think it’s the marshmallow, and lots of grapefruit.
From there I started testing… I sprayed on a jacket, into the air and some on my skin (mind u I was testing 5 fragrances) and I went back to the jacket still not understanding this scent.
Today after my shower w hair wash included, I went to my drawer and started smelling the caps to see which one calls me and as soon as I picked Ari’s, I felt this beautiful scent with roses, of course marshmallow and fruitiness. I personally don’t know how to recognized musk and wood scents but I feel they are what’s giving It longevitity and controlling the overall sweetness.

So, today I sprayed 6-7 times on different parts where I like perfume and wow this was IT. It didn’t smell obnoxious at all anymore, today I was able to feel it the roses, the balance between all the notes.
I’m currently in bed writing this and I’m getting the nicest scent to the point I’m about to get up and spray more.
I now understand the perfume reviewers of YouTube that inspired me to buy this fragrance and I know now why they consider it a must have for sweet scent lovers,
I did amazing w my body chemistry, I would wear this either in hot or cold climate. Yesterday was a bit of a hotter night plus the 4 perfumes I was testing, it didn’t let me appreciate it properly but today I love it and I rly appreciate that it doesn’t feel as strong as Acqua di parisis (which in the dry down is amazing but the first sprays are something a bit more like lady at church kinda thingy).
But yeah, totally recommend this perfume,
The bottle is beautiful and the pompon can be removed easily bc otherwise it will difficult the spraying. The box feels a bit cheap but I love Ariana Grande, and my name is Ariana as well (I needed a perfume w my nickname Ari), so i don’t mind the box bc it reminds me to her first albums ❤️ I will keep testing her perfumes and come back w more reviews. I literally get STOPPED and asked what perfume it is when I wear this! Guys seem to respond really well to this and the lasting power is amazing for the price point so I’m happy with that. yummy sweet fruity - lots of pear - girly fragrance

I was so excited for this one because I love Cloud and God Is a Woman, but unfortunately it doesn't last more than 5 minutes on my clothes or skin! I'm returning it...

This is such a charming girly girl scent. It’s a sleepover with your best friends - equipped with fuzzy pink pajamas, and a bowl of marshmallows and candy off to the side for snacks. It’s the hug from the girl you admired when you were a kid who wore pink juicy sweatpants.

To describe the scent NOT as an aesthetic: It’s raspberry and fruit syrup drizzled over a pillowy soft marshmallow. It even has the texture of a marshmallow in the air, anyone familiar with can can by paris hilton will immediately understand that fluffy texture.

I love this. I’m trying so hard to step away from the gourmand but the syrupy sweet continues to call my name… damnit.

I got it as a gift it is not something I usually go for but I wear it often.
Ari by Ariana Grande is more of a teenage girl perfume and safe choice BUT MIGHT BE TOO SWEET FOR SOME it is really girly sweet-candy like perfume and longevity is fine.

Ari is much more than I expected. I don't smell any age limit in this. Reminds me a bit of Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia.
It's sweet but not cloying, not immature, not cheap smelling.
It's a very pretty fragrance, uplifting and happy.
I do smell the grapefruit among the raspberry and pear notes, and it balances their sweetness.
The pompom should not be a problem since it can be easily removed without breaking anything. The bottle itself is pretty and reflects the sparkling character of the scent.

Very sweet shampoo pear and raspberry with marshmallows. It’s a cute scent , I think it’s more appropriate for someone below 25 but I would wear this around the house

I don’t like it. I think it’s the rose and the lily of the valley. They just stick out too much and I’m not a floral person. I really like a few of her other perfumes so figured I’d give it a shot but really this one isn’t for me.

~~ this perfume used to be my 1000% favorite thing on earth!! im on my second (and larger) bottle and unfortunately this one just smells way more alcohol-y and less recognizable. i still love it, but it smells like somebody made a cheaper body spray out of the first one ~~
one of my favorite things about this scent is how versatile it is. i could wear this at any time, any season, any formality and it would still feel "correct". the marshmallow is so sweet and yummy but not too powdery - its comfy but still very fresh and juicy. I think the fruits, marshmallow, and florals all sort of meet in the middle to create a very pleasant, cute scent <3

Smells very sweet yet clean. I loved the initial spray, though it quickly turns soapy on my skin - like a marshmallow scented shampoo or body wash. I also get the same synthetic, kinda plasticky note I detect in my Cloud body spray (not tried Cloud EDP). Low projection, can see teenagers enjoying this. Not a huge fan, but it’ll go to the ‘chuck in my work bag’ pile to get used up

I used this perfume from around ages 15-22, and though I've personally moved on, it's still a generally pleasant scent that isn't too overpowering or sickly-sweet. I've never been super into sweet, fruity scents, but this is inoffensive and light enough to use for every-day wear. That said, I recently went to smell some of my clothes that I'd sprayed this on a few days prior, and I got a sudden whiff of cotton candy that was so disturbing it threw me off and made me realize it was time to abandon this perfume for good. If I'm being honest, I think I stuck with Ari for so long because there's something about the way the scent mixes with smoked cannabis that's quite nice, and it kind of became my vibe for a bit. Time for a switch up!

Qué perfume tan más aburrido! Lo compré por buenas reseñas que encontré en YouTube pero qué decepción, cero gourmand, huele como si acabaras de salir de la ducha y ya, no es llamativo ni dulce en mi nariz, huele a shampoo económico, no le noto el malvavisco por ningún lado.

To me the scent is barely there, not at all very sweet, and has minimal lasting power. From the little I can smell, there is marshmallow and some fruit.

If you’ve been looking for a dupe for One Direction Our Moment this is *very* similar. Not exactly the same, Ari is a bit warmer/cozier (probably because of the marshmallow and pear). I have no idea if this is well known and I’m late to the game, but I just tried this recently and was floored by how much it reminded me of our moment.

It's a very girly, sweet, flirty and powdery scent. Wouldn’t reccomend it for people, older than 12. Its slightly citrusy, sweet, kind of lactic, feminine and immature fragrance. The performance is probably the worst compairing to my other fragrances, lasts not more than 20 mins and has no projection. It smells really good, but considering longevity, it is the biggest pass for me.

Too sweet and powdery for my taste. I personally am not keen on pear fragrances and I think that’s the main reason I’m not keen on this. It’s not an offensive fragrance at all however I prefer something a little less synthetic and with a more juicy/fruity floral vibe to it.

my friend just gave me this in the body mist type, and its honestly quite delicious. Its not too cloying or gourmand and smells more floral and musky on me ++ the pear adds to the sweetness. It smells edible like gummies and i would totally recommend purchasing this if you're a younger teen. Definitely a day perfume, 6.5/10

I have both the body spray and the EDP version of this - the body spray pulls a little more citrusy. Something I noticed almost right away is that it smells quite similar to the now discontinued Angel Muse by Mugler (at least to my nose). Angel Muse is such a unique fragrance and I was disappointed when I found out that it was no longer available. Sure enough I checked the notes and they both have grapefruit as a top note. It's a very pretty, warm fragrance. I love the sweet powdery dry down and I find it very wearable for every day. It's feminine and sweet while not being overpowering. I do prefer Cloud; I find it to be a more complex and interesting scent overall (and I'm biased because I prefer vanilla/gourmand fragrances) but Ari is a great addition to the collection and quite affordable.

I got a sample size of this from scent bird and I wore it to the Ethel Cain concert in Portland. I love it so much but haven’t worn it since the concert because I wanted to have it to remember. I will always have a memory being with my best friend being our happiest wearing it with her. That night felt so much like the epitome of girlhood. My feet were killing me but I was so entranced… It didn’t matter what physical sensations were happening because the music and the climate took over my soul. I’ve never been so close to that many people. yet also so safe? I knew they were like me. I’ve also never felt closer to my best friend because I knew she felt exactly what I did. This perfume will always make me reminisce❤️

The only notes I get are pear and vanilla orchid. Pear comes first as how one of those hard candies with a jelly filled center (eg, Arcor BonBon or Mangini Frutta) or would taste/smell. Vanilla orchid carries the fragrance through its short life (3-4 hours). I can't smell any marshmallow in this...maybe my expectation of marshmallow is influenced too much by how it smells in Love Don't Be Shy. Overall this didn't meet my expectations, as based on the other positive reviews here & on YouTube. If you can find it on good discount, it might be worth a try, but I think there are better sweet/candy perfumes out there.

ughhh !! this scent is beautiful !!! to me, it smells like gummy bears! what do gummy bears smell like? well id say like candied fruits and airy vanilla. that may be the marshmellow! (i am a beginner to fragrances lol) which is why i understand people who say this scent is juvenile. though i think this is a perfect scent for anyone with a bubbly personality, it makes you smell friendly and kind. i unfortunately do not receive the musk and woodsy notes in the dry down, but i think those are what make this different from sweet like candy. its not pure sweetness, just pleasantly sweet :)

It didnt smell so sweet as i imagined, when i bought it and smelled it, i was a little dissapointed, but of course, i didnt want it to go to waste and it smelled good, just a little..i dont know how to say it. But when i emptied the bottle, i started to like it. I liked the peary and grapefruit smell.

The sweetness can be a bit too sickly. I asked a few of my family members and they said it smells different and a bit tacky on clothes, it mixes well with the moisturized skin though. It smells youthful and something that women would probably wear in their 20s? You are instantly hit with heavy top notes but the cool down is amazing. It smells really creamy and sweet after awhile. I tried other Ariana's perfumes and this was the best within my body chemistry, it dominated most of other Ariana's perfumes so you should definitely try all of them, since they are easy to find, see which one matches your body chemistry the best. I would recommend body mist too if you're already planning to go full on out since body mist is gonna be easier on clothes.

In case anyone is not aware, those annoying pom poms are actually removable. They have a small clip on them and you can detach the pom pom from the bottle, thus using it on your bag or whatever. Or just toss it away. Either way.... Last comment, this one has become quite heavy on the sandalwood to my nose so I know what the wood smell is.

I'm really getting Viva la Juicy Gold Couture vibes from this one - note - I said vibes, I'm not saying it's super similar or a dupe. And since I love VlJGC I really enjoy this one as well. Longevity is decent to good on my skin, I get around 5-6 hours of detectable wear and people can smell in the first two hours from an arms length and after the two hour mark they can smell me when they're really close to me and/or hugging me. And yes, I make my family and friends sniff me and hug me for testing :D Upon first spray it's cheerful and bright, not as bright as Sweet like Candy is but still fresh/bright. I didn't like Sweet like Candy due to the sharpness in the beginning, as a lot of bright fruits often translate to annoyingly sharp to my nose. The brightness of the opening fruits in Ari is the perfect dose to my nose so I'm happy. The drydown is where I really love it, it's caramelly and musky and fruity and delicious although not a full on gourmand. It has "gourmandy aspects" if that makes sense. People are describing this scent as heavy on marshmallows and that might very well be true but I have never really understood that scent profile because to me, marshmallows don't have a lot of scent. When roasting them I get a sweet aroma that's hard to describe besides I think they smell sweet. Now, on the other hand, candyfloss / cotton candy does have a very distinctive smell to me, a smell that's actually very caramelly and "warm". And to me, Ari is a candyfloss/cotton candy fragrance more so than a marshmallow fragrance and that's why I describe it as a fragrance with a caramel undertone and also why I think it has Viva la Juicy Gold Couture vibes. So maybe I'm not equipped to talk about marshmallow notes because I've never really thought of them smelling of anything in particular besides just straight up sugar. I never think a scent has an age stamp so I'll wear what I like and I'm 40 years old. I think it smells great, I will wear it. If anyone out there thinks I smell "too young" or whatever I guess that's their problem and not mine.
Verdict: smells good, lasts fine on my skin and clothes. Love it.

I have the body mist version of this, so it might be a bit different from the perfume (probably heavier on the top notes). Not sure what the longevity is like for the perfume, but the mist really does not last long at all on clothes or skin (after half an hour I'm already having trouble detecting it). I have a hard time picking out any individual notes with this one. I don't detect any fruitiness at all — it just smells sweet in a deeper, almost cozy sort of way (the musk?), and it's definitely not a bright or shampoo-y scent (à la TYN 2.0). It gives me a flipping-through-teen-mags-in-2009 kind of vibe, maybe because it reminds me of VLJ (though a bit sweeter and not nearly as floral). I can definitely see the similarities between Ari and SLC, with SLC being sweeter and less cozy-smelling. It's not bad at all, though I'm undecided on if I want to upgrade to the perfume version as I prefer something a bit brighter for daily wear.

It doesn’t smell as sweet as I imagined. I could smell the top notes perfectly but for some reason I couldn’t detect the marshmallow note. For me, it’s not so teenager scent. I’m 21 years old and it smells perfectly fine for my age and for people a lil older. It’s weird how how I keep hearing that it’s long lasting but it stays for less than 3 hours and the projection sucks. I blind bought Ari and I could say that this is safe fragrance to blind buy.

I actually thought I might enjoy this more, but I kind of find it anticlimactic after everything I've read about it. Today I finally took thr time to give it a solid test, and I wasn't very inspired.

It's really sweet, but the marshmallow is more akin to those flavored strawberry marshmallows in bags than a true *marshmallow*, if that makes sense. I don't dislike it, but I was hoping it would be thicker and gooey-er, it's rather thin. In fact, this is fresher than I anticipated.

The fruits blend here with some nondescript florals, and it's Bath and Body Works-ish, or Victoria's Secret, but not a necessarily iconic, standout B&BW sort of scent (I LOVE a fraction of B&BW's fragrances), but similar to their redundant fruit/florals that everyone gets bored of. It has a vague, sweet white musk, and it simply smells like a trillion other body sprays out there.

It's pretty, youthful and sweet, but not really memorable enough for me.

So boring, smells like every other teen perfume, lasts about 2 hours then it's gone.

Bought this when it originally launched in 2015 and have been collecting Ariana's perfumes ever since. I used to wear this religiously, day and night. It's a sickly sweet scent that any teenage girl would obsess over (much to her classmates chagrin). It smells like marshmallows and all things sweet and definitely not for fans of subtle, floral scents.
I might throw it on every now and day when I want to reminiscence over my prepubescent days and not leaving the house but it's typically collecting dust on my shelf.
Great perfume to gift younger girls but wouldn't recommend for anyone aged 17+

Whoever describes this as a donut perfume... You are right. To my nose, it literally smells like a raspberry jam filled donut with powdered sugar on top of it... So delicious and pretty! Surprisingly, unlike most Ariana Grande fragrances, this one lasts on me for a while (7+ hours).

This is such a STUNNING fragrance. It's been my go-to ever since middle school. It always lasts so long on me and gets me compliments year round. It's not cakey sweet but it's still a very girl sweet scent. Very playful perfume. Definitely recommend for anyone to get this:)

Before the reformulation this perfume was much more sophisticated and had character. Now it smells like a shampoo, especially if put on clothes. Does any of you know if the mist smells like the older version?

This is my favourite scent of ALL TIME (perhaps tied with some other of Ariana’s perfumes)
A sweet, fruity gourmand scent which has a gorgeous beginning middle and end.
You open with juicy raspberry and bright sweet fruits, and as it dries down you get a lovely blend of sweet fruits, marshmallow and wood. The wood isn’t overpowering at all, it is done in a really nice way, and the combination of raspberry and marshmallow is heaven.
In the note breakdown, it says there is rose and some other florals - I don’t really smell them, which is good for me because I am not a floral person.

This scent is yummy. Smells fruity & very sweet! It’s ultra girly but it’s not childish smelling. It’s blended so well that I cannot make out any of the notes. It just smells like very sweet & creamy fruits. It’s definitely crowd pleasing and a safe blind buy in my opinion if you like this scent profile.

with a an open bag of marshmallows that you didn't eat because you are on a diet, in some fancy resort with friends or a lover.. i mean with this scent on, attracting a lover is obvious!! it's delicious, a bit fresh soapy, just washed my hair type of scent. its creamy.. first spray is heavenly. second sniff its heavenly + shower, still waiting for the dry down.. by my god. it is givinggggg. Ari, how the heck did you create this beautiful concoction? its a master perfumer level. color me impressed.

btw, its giving original fantasy by britney when it was first out, and before it was reformulated. like, fresh, sexy, tropical, sweet candy, "gonna eat you up", "too sexy for my own good" vibes.. and i was addicted, when the original formula was still out. Kicking it ari!!! also, try sweet like candy by Ariana, its a kicker too. spray spray and spraaaay some more <33 its That Good folk! Easy blind buy in my eyes, and if u buy that for me, you are my best friend period. <3 and i love you forever, for bringing this miracle to my home+life, type of perfume.

Perfect blend of sweet and fruity. It has an incredible cozy feeling to it without feeling to "warm" or "heavy". An easy reach and a little bit to young for me to wear to work. I feel like I go nose blind to it because it never seems to last that long on me.

I recently bought a Middle Eastern perfume called “all you need is passion” fell in love with it and found out it was discontinued I have not been able to find another bottle since so I have been on the hunt to look for a perfume similar with that yummy marshmallow dry down and this is it! It has that beautiful sweet powdery marshmallow dry down that I absolutely love!

I bought this fragrance when it was fairly new in my teenage years and loved it and would recieve many compliments on it.
i recently repurchased it and i have to say despite other comments i have to disagree that this scent is too juvenile its got an air of sexyness to it from the musk and rose. since repurchasing i have gotten soooo many compliments idk why i ever stopped wearing it.🤷

got to smell this in stores and i absolutely love it. i sprayed it twice on my wrist and it lasted for 6+ hours. very sweet, girly and giving very much ariana grande. tho i must say it smells VERY similar to nicki minaj's pink friday edp 😩 the fact that i'm a barb too and i do love me some ariana makes this even more worth purchasing next

Deliciously sweet fragrance that's very easy to reach for.

I didn't realize this had grapefruit until I read the notes. But now that I know that I can tell it's there. "Musk, woody notes" all of that surprised me when I read the notes. To me this is straight up pear, raspberry and marshmallow with a hint of florals. The marshmallow gives a soft tone to this fragrance and pairs so well with the fruity notes.

Not overly juvenile. Works well on it's own, but is also great for layering with another perfume if I want to add the lovely sweetness and femininity that this scent offers.

I just don't seem to get bored of this scent. Even though this is a pretty simple fragrance, it's very enjoyable and I prefer this over many other perfumes of this category.

A light easy going perfume perfect for anyone on any occasion. It's starts off with notes of pear, citrus and raspberry. Probably more suitable for someone just starting out in the perfume world or perhaps someone in their early to mid 20's. Overall it's a safe grown up sweet gourmand scent, it's inexpensive and last around 5 hours on my always moisturized skin. Stays pretty until it fades. Doesn't seem to macerate much though but the dry down is more of a fruity sweet & spicy vanilla/ woody marshmallow with lights notes of musk. I cannot detect the powder note on my skin at all, although I do like it, I most likely won't repurchase it again.

Pear, Raspberry & Grapefruit with DELICATE MARSHMALLOW. Opens with a fruity burst of pear & raspberry accented by grapefruit, that deepens into the floral heart of vanilla-orchid resting on a marshmallow woody-musk base. Overall I get a pleasant fruity-floral gourmand with a delicate marshmallow note in the base. The lovely marshmallow note here was in some ways ahead of its time, however I've called it delicate because it's rather quiet by present day standards imho, although it does come out more the longer it's on the skin. Has average performance for a light summer wearing experience.

Contrast to Moonlight Ariana Grande:
These are different, but they share the Ariana Grande DNA. Moonlight is lighter and more airy floral. Ari outperforms.

Contrast to Pink Friday Nicki Minaj:
These are different, but there are striking similarities with pear, citrus & gourmand notes. Ari has the more forward marshmallow, while Pink Friday has a more forward caramel.

Contrast to Sweet Like Candy Ariana Grande:
These are different, but again they share the Ariana Grande DNA. Ari has the citrus notes more forward, while Sweet Like Candy has the marshmallow notes more forward. Roughly equivalent performance.

Overall: sweet, fruity-floral-gourmand with a lovely delicate marshmallow note. For what it is, Not sure it's standing out, but smells nice: 8/10. Enjoy!

this is soo beautiful, I think it's my new signature scent! I loved it because of the marshmallow, but I was really sold when my boyfriend loved it. he is normally such a gourmand hater, but said this smelled girly and nice. I think it's a pleasant inoffensive scent that has that ariana marshmallow DNA for us gourmand girlies! there's no caramel note listed, but I think there's just a hint of caramel.

bonus points if you layer with vs honey mist. they go so well together and perfume hating bf agrees.

my only real criticism is that this smells like a lot of other fragrances. I bought this and pink Friday at the same time, and thought I was crazy for thinking they smelled the same, but a bunch of people on here said that too. I would prefer this over pink Friday tho. I'm not the biggest fan of tropical notes.

i also think ari's fragrances tend to smell the same. this does remind me a lot of sweet like candy, which I also love. the good news is you can test them at your local ulta and see which one you like! I always buy mine from tj maxx tho, this one's almost always there for $20.

overall this is a really cute, girly fragrance that isn't too immature. I don't think it screams the way something like pink sugar does. 10/10!! 💖

Brings me back to summer camp, admiring the cool older counselors who were probably wearing Ari.

Initially, I bought this only because I found the bottle so attractive. This crystal bottle looked very appealing to me in my younger times, and I found this fragrance very sweet but it was perfect for my teenage years, when all you want is fresh, sweet & bubblegum kind of scent. But now, when I think of revisiting my favorite childhood scents, I think I won't be repurchasing this one as the longevity and projection of this one is not good!

the first scent that got me into perfumes 💞 i want it again for nostalgia’s sake bc it was my middle school signature!! it’s very sweet and citrussy… the grapefruit and marshmallow are prominent from what i remember! this is the only fragrance i’ve used up several bottles of!

Definitely smells good on the blotter, but doesn’t last at ALL on my skin or clothes.
I bought it as a set with the body wash and lotion and paired it all together. I tend to overspray, and when I asked a family member if they can smell it after 30 minutes, they said not at all. It just… dissipates.
My first “compliment” was someone telling me I smell like an old lady.
Definitely won’t be buying again.
And the Pom Pom gets in the way!

Bought this as a birthday gift for my mom. As she is a fan of sweet, powdery gourmands, I figured this would the perfect one.....

And it is! She and I both absolutely love this! It's sweet without being too sickly sweet and cloying, and it's not overpowering. I feel like this is a good scent for grown-up women as well as teens. It strikes that perfect balance of sweet and feminine but not immature. Beautiful fragrance!

Out of all the perfumes that I own, I get the most compliments from Ari. Tbh if I had to choose one perfume to wear for the rest of my life, it would be this perfume. It's beautiful, sweet, fresh and creamy. I think Ari can be used for all occasions in my opinion. To my nose I get mostly the raspberries and marshmallows with a hint of citrus. Lasting power can vary. Some days it seems to last a long time on my skin and some days it lasts only a few hours. However, there has been times where I stopped smelling it but people around me can still smell it. So it's one of those tricky perfumes lol. When in doubt, I recommend adding a few spritz to your clothes as it seems to linger a lot longer on fabric.

Ari smells like raspberry shampoo and a frothy bubble bath in a pink dream. She is flirty, pretty and bubbly. Ari is like a pretty girl whose smile uplifts your spirits: she is universally liked and irresistible.

I sampled 7-8 Ariana Grande fragrances and so far I have to say I am impressed. How can a celebrity keep churning out designer quality fragrances at such a consistent pace? Either designer houses need to step up or we need to give Ariana Grande the recognition she deserves for her fragrance work. Ari reminds me of my favorite quality from Si by Armani: that Garnier Fructis fruity-fresh shampoo DNA. It's a fragrance genre I can get behind.

Beautiful scent but NO projection No longevity unfortunately

This scent is amazing. It could be a designer scent. I get compliments for smelling good, and longevity is 3-4 hours. It’s sweet, yummy, sexy, flirty, girly, and perfect for any occasion. It’s creamy, yet fluffy. It grew on me, I didn’t like it at first smell, but I kept trying it at Ulta until I decided to get a bottle at Burlington for $19.99. I’m so glad I have it. It’s so easy to wear, I keep smelling my arm when I have it on. Highly recommended for all ages. Maybe it would perform better during winter as the sweetness would tone down.

Nice fruity-sweet scent. The problem is that projection is null, non-existant.

I've smelled a few of her scents. This is the only one I can say I truly like. The grapefruit gives it that little bit of freshness that it needs. Sweet, but not "childish."

My first impressions this smells like a fruity sweet shampoo. I like it its not off putting or overly soapy. I wish I could get more of the marshmallow thats the reason I got this Ive really taken a liking to marshmallow notes.The raspberry, pear and grapefruit are the stars of the show of this perfume.Its cute, girly and playful. It most definitely fits a younger demographic.Im 25 but I feel just a touch old for this one. Either way its nice and ill get use out of it but it will be more of a casual wear for me. Ive yet to try the longevity but the sillage seems good so far.

I like this one. It’s a like and not a love. I get mainly a pear/cotton candy vibe from it. I guess the cotton candy is the marshmallow note. It lasts a good couple hours on me. It’s a fun, warm day scent. It’s youthful and sweet.

Ari by Ariana Grande has been a perfume I’ve always enjoyed, however it’s been some time since I’ve smelt it last.
The bottle is adorable, love the little Pom. It’s really cute and looks nice in my collection. I think this fragrance smells really innocent and sweet. She’s a classic, and if you like sweet smells you’ll probably enjoy this. I would say this lasts on my skin around 2-3hrs. I like the initial smell the most and the dry down is a nice marshmallow scent.
I think this is a good scent for any day really, it’s fun it’s girly, and you really can’t go wrong.
I do wish it lasted longer but in all smells great!

Bottle: This bottle is so gorgeous! It looks so luxurious and pretty, so much details. The pompom makes it looks even more cute! I give it a 10/10.
Box: The box is also really pretty. It looks so aesthetic and clean! I like the two pictures on each side of the box. The lavender colour doesn't really match the perfume bottle as her other boxes do, but it doesn't really matter. I give it a 10/10.
Longevity: The longevity is actually pretty good here. It is kinda rare for a sweet and fruity perfume to last this long. On my skin, I can still smell a bit of it after something around like 7 hours maybe? I give it a 8/10.
Sillage: I think this perfume is good at its projection, maybe something around 4 sprays is enough for people to smell you, but I am an oversprayer so I spray something like 20 sprays! My mom always compliments me! I give that a 8/10.
Smell: The smell couldn't be better! I love sweet and fruity perfumes so much, this is really sweet, so if you aren't a lover for sweet perfume like me, I am not sure that this is so suitable for you. But you can still try! I rarely see that someone dislikes this perfume, most of people compliment it and never say it smells bad! I give the smell (the most important thing) a 10/10!
Overall: This is my favourite Ariana Grande perfume, and I think it will stay so! The smell, the longevity and everything is so great, I am not sure that any perfume of hers will beat this! Mod Blush is coming tomorrow, and I heard some people say it smells similar to Ari, so I am pretty much excited! Also the fact that this was her first perfume, it's just incredible. I really love this perfume, and I think you should definitely go for it. Maybe it will become your favourite, too! Perfume overall is a 10/10!

This is a beautiful marshmallow, grapefruit, pear scent with a hint of raspberry. The silage is pretty strong (radiates beyond 6 feet on me), and the longevity is about 6-9 hours on me depending on my physical activity (which is fine cause I'm an oversprayer so I'll reapply it after 3 hours just because). Ari is just a beautiful scent! To bring out more of that grapefruit citrus goodness I pair this with the Victoria's Secret Bombshell body mist. Just thinking about this scent evokes happy emotions in me. A must try if you don't put an age on perfumes like some do! Any scent is for any age 😀

So pretty and fun! I pick up a sweet powdered raspberry. It’s so crisp and feminine. It’s such a no brainer scent and I can see it working for all occasions.

This is such a beautiful delicate scent. Super feminine , flirty and playful but not juvenile. This suits people of all age groups. The most prominent notes to my nose are raspberry, marshmallow and grapefruit. I also get a hint of pear. It’s nothing complicated, a simple sweet scent that is not too sweet or cloying. Easy crowd pleasing perfume. It can be worn during summer days as well.
Longevity on my skin isn’t the best but it’s decent enough. Lasts longer on my clothes.
Overall, a great sweet marshmallow scent. I’ll rate this 8/10.

Edit: I paired it up with BBW Strawberry snowflake lotion and mist, smells more gourmand.
Some people are disappointed that this isn’t a gourmand scent. Maybe pairing it up with the above mentioned mist might do the job for y’all. But this perfume on its own is good enough and it doesn’t straight up smell like food/dessert.

Fruity, raspberry-pear scent with a zing of grapefruit and a marshmallow undertone. This is so girly and pretty! And the bottle is gorgeous. One of my favorite bottle designs yet. So this definitely reminds me of tease from Victoria’s Secret, but it doesn’t necessarily remind me of viva la juicy at all (VLJ was my signature in high school, I’d recognize it blindfolded with my nose plugged) and I don’t get any scent memory smelling this. This is fun and flirty, definitely an easy reach for any age demographic, and smells a little more sophisticated than sweet like candy or thank u next 2.0. I really enjoy this one! I do prefer Ariana Grande’s perfumes more than most other celebrity fragrances. She’s up there with Britney Spears for me. All in all, solid choice! Recommend to anybody.

This is to my nose a sweet, aquatic, coconut scent. It is pretty strong and reminds me a lot of Cloud. I enjoy it and I can smell it for hours.

To be honest, I smell a very sweet, aquatic coconut scent, not listed in the notes. Smells quite similar to Cloud to my nose. Very nice and pretty strong, which I don't mind as I seem to be pretty anosmic lately.

I do like it but it's too sweet for me... doesn't reflect my pesonality anymore. Also doesn't last.

very sweet. marshmallow is mostly what u smell, followed by the fruitiness and the dry down is slightly musky. i find it to be too sickly for me (not a fan of marshmallow notes) but nice if you like that kind of thing. more of a scent for colder months.

I’m not sure how I got so lucky, but this fragrance is baby beast mode on my skin! I get at least 8 hours with just a few sprays! Lovely all around pear fragrance for the price point. The only con is the slight powdery scent in the dry down.

probably my favorite ari fragrance. opens up as a very fruity and citrusy scent, but the dry-down is creamy and woody. the raspberry and bergamot are really prominent at first, and the marshmallow and woods come in a bit later on. i find the marshmallow note a bit sickeningly sweet at times, but if you like extremely sweet fragrances, i don't think this would be an issue. my only issue is the longevity on me is around 30 minutes, which is surprising considering how strong this perfume is when you first spray it on (during those first 15 minutes, the projection is annoyingly strong, which i'm sure some people may enjoy). if this lasts longer on you, and you like extremely sweet fragrances, this is perfect. the bottle is also really cute (i didn't expect to like it so much, but it has some weight to it, and the geode effect on the actual bottle itself reflects light in a very pretty way.)

edit: picked up a new bottle and it smells SO different. watered down grapefruit with a bit of sweetness. i think ariana's frags have the most inconsistency across batches (specifically ari + thank u next), so i think it's important to try a couple of bottles before you completely swear off any of her frags.

What's up with all the Ariana Grande perfumes? All the testers have the original version of the perfume, but once you buy a bottle the formula is very flat, different or pungent smelling. Sadly, I have experienced this for the 3rd time today. Ended up returning it. I really wanted a bottle.

@Harley522 I'm not sure about that. Lilial is banned in the EU but I don't think it is in the USA where most of Ari's perfumes are made(or they used to be....maybe that has changed, idk). Now I don't know about the EU allowing this chemical on their shelves..? Maybe they'll change for the EU market. Or maybe the US gets a different formula...who knows. I don't think many other perfumes made in the US has changed for this ban though. Out of curiosity I just checked one of the stores online here and it's still listed in ingredients, at least for now.

Ari and Sweet Like Candy are definitely being reformulated. Because lilial ( butylphenyl methylpropional ) has been banned since March 2022. Both Ari and SLC contained this fragrance ingredient. The ingredients list on both perfumes is now different than on older batches.
Cloud still has the same ingredients from its original release. But Cloud was “ cleaner “ perfume.

This is a very feminine fruity floral that is quite sweet. It's lovely and I think anyone could wear it if they wanted to but it leans a bit too young for me. I think YSL Cinema is more grown up version of this. They're not exactly the same, cinema is more almondy and less sweet but worth a try if you wanted something a bit more mature than this. The projection and staying power of Ari is very impressive considering the price.

I just came on here to say, that I think this has been reformulated.

I'm not sure when, but I used to own this a couple of years back, and it was more in depth, heavier, stronger, marshmallow-y, powdery & sweeter.

Now, all I get is strong alcohol with some faint citrus and marshmallow. I mean, I really have to stick my nose to my wrist!

I saw a couple of reviews that noticed the same thing, reviews that have been buying Ari for quite some time, so it seems! I didn't want to believe them, but it's true.

The old formula was way better, I'm going to go hunt for some testers on ebay as those are usually the original formulations. 🤷🏼

It smells exactly like moonlight but a little bit fresher and citrusy I love the marshmallow note in this one yummy! I prefer moonlight though

Love love love this perfume! I dont care how common it is i love this scent and will always have a bottle of it! The perfect scent for cooler weather.

I love this scent so much, it smells so nice and girly and cozy. The opening is very fruity, you really get the raspberry and pear notes. Then I get some florals and it all ultimately dials down to a beautiful, warm marshmellowy scent. It's very nice and extremely girly which I love. Some people say it's juvenile but I find it quite mature to be honest, granted not the most mature fragrance in the market but I think it's a scent suitable for all ages.

When I’m walking around I can smell this divine scent and so can others.
There’s not much to say, it’s sweet but not overwhelmingly so and it is often liked but I do recommend trying it before hand to see for yourself.
Pretty good value if you ask me it’s a lovely fragrance that’s suitable for every day use

This is as sweet and girly as it gets. When I first tried it I thought it was too sweet and didn’t try it again for a while. But then it grew on me and I really like it now. I would purchase a full bottle since it’s only like $20.

Smells like a raspberry body spray to me. Projection is non existent. Even though it’s a cheap perfume I don’t think the price is worth it because there’s definitely a body spray out there that is exactly the same for quarter of the price. I do think the bottle is pretty though.

This is so not gourmand!!! to me :( very underwhelming, boring, synthetic-y. It doesn't last and the one thing i cared about (raspberry and marshmallows) are non existent. I smell the grapefruit and florals, then it sets to a musky that is trying to become a vanilla but fails. Very disappointed, i'd say this is what a cheap body spray smells like but thats disrespectful to body sprays.

Here are my thoughts on "Ari":
I'm a big fan of edible gourmands and have both niche perfumes and cheepies that are gourmand on my top fragrance-list.
Perfumes have come and gone in my collection but Ari has always been there. It's honestly one of those scents that has been my signature scent from time to time over the years.
But.... then something happened. Around 2021, the whole wonderfulness of the perfume suddenly changed! Reformulation was clearly noticeable! What had been a deliciously sweet marshmallow-pear-raspberry dream with a clear lily-of-the-valley-note to balance up the sweetness a tiny bit suddenly became a watery citrus, slightly sugary mixture and I was completely shocked.
Have a bottle from 2015, 2017 and a bottle bought recently. The comparison between them is clear.
From having received a rating of 5 out of 5 from me, my rating is now just average, lacking both depth and durability.
My thoughts on this is, could it be so that Grande reformulated all her perfumes after "God is a woman" was launched?
How do you think "Ari" has changed over the years, dear Fragranticas? Anyone else who notice the difference?
I MISS the original version so much!

I love this fragrance for Spring and summer time. I will dare say it reminds me a little of Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet, which is a predominantly pink peony perfume. This one obviously has more sweetness, but I still smell mainly peony rosy notes in this one and a little citrus. It cheers me right up and the multifaceted bottle is also fun. With everything around us becoming stripped of any decorative details- this is such a treasure! I want to say sometimes girls just want to have fun and smell like a sweet pink rosy peony.

I'm going to preface this by saying I love Cloud and I have a pretty positive opinion on Ari's fragrances in general - but this one just did not hit for me. I've smelled it at concerts and on different people, and it's inoffensive enough on others but truly not my thing. On me it's a generic chemical floral and creates a weird melted plastic scent on my skin that lasts literally forever. I scrubbed and then showered and it still wouldn't leave. I wasn't expecting the world and I don't feel like I've been ripped off but I wish I could get anything besides an eternal vague chemical "flower" smell and warm plastic. Overall not that bad but it kind of reminds me of kids' perfumes and it's not something I'll be wearing.

The combination of raspberry and marshmallow is beautiful! To my nose it smells like a jam donut with icing sugar on top! It’s delicious! It’s got this powdery and sweet delectable element!

Imo scents like this perfume may be common but this stands out among the crowd. This to me smells similar to Nicki minaj pink Friday and whilst I enjoy that perfume, this without a doubt is more unique due to the powdery jammyness.

My only downside is it doesn’t last long!

I like all of her fragrances to varying degrees— Cloud and Moonlight being my favorite. This drys down basically just like Moonlight. I’d say Moonlight is basically just the dry down of Ari. Ari’s opening is SO addictive.

Pleasant for sure. I am not mad about wearing it. However, it does smell reminiscent of a JB perfume I had years ago. Doesn’t seem to be the unique, high-quality celeb perfume I’ve heard about.

It's a MUST in my perfume collection, and the one that gets the most compliments too. I've gone through so many bottles... I feel that the longevity is outstanding and can last all day. I wore it for a 27hr trip with different airplane connections and after arriving my destination i could still smell it faintly on me. It starts being quite noticeable for others around you, with the hours it'll turn to an intimate fragrance in the most elegant way, that only those very close will be able to appreciate fully. The marshmallow-raspberry-pear combination works very well together and makes it the perfect balance between fruity and gourmand, so even though most appropriate for spring time in my opinion, can work in any other season.

This pairs SO GOOD with Marc Jacobs Eau so sweet. MANEATER. Oh my good try it out. I got a compliment today for this combo and she said it lingers in the air for a while and its unforgettable.

I absolutely love this perfume, it smells really good. Everytime i wear it I get compliments, but some people might say that it smells strong but I don’t think it does

I am so disappointed in myself for finding this perfume so incredibly putrid. I am a huge lover of gourmand fragrances, however the majority of my fragrances lean towards colder weather and I’ve been on the search for a lighter gourmand for the summer. A friend of mine recommended this perfume, and after reading the notes and reviews I blind bought it instantly.

Upon initial spray, I didn’t hate it, nor did I love it. It smelt fresh, but heavily artificial and chemical-like. I didn’t think much of it, as being a drugstore fragrance I didn’t expect it to smell like a high-end fragrance, and I thought it would level out in the dry down. I sprayed it on before leaving my house for the day.

Through out the day, I kept getting whiffs of this atrocious scent that smelt like toilet cleaner and cookies mixed together. I couldn’t focus at work or anything for that matter. And then the nausea kicked in. I quickly ran home early and jumped in the shower, scrubbing my skin until it was almost raw.

I have never had such a visceral reaction to a fragrance before, and didn’t understand it as this fragrance is supposed to be such a crowd pleaser yet I haven’t smelled a fragrance that has made me feel so sick before.

I tried, I really tried to like it. I would spray it every few days in different settings hoping that a switch would flick on day and I’d love it. I even tried to layer it with different fragrances, but nothing could balance out the toilet cleaner cookie.

I’m guessing the fresh top notes in contrast with the warmer bottom notes don’t please my nose at all. In fact the fragrance was such an attack on my nose that I couldn’t pick up a perfume for a few days after wearing it *sigh*

Alas, I still for some reason refuse to give up. She still sits with all my other girls, waiting for me to pick her up and fall in love with her like everyone else has. And maybe one day I will, even though I know deep down that the chances are slim.

Addicting scent that smells nice and girly but lasts for less than 2 hours.

I just finished a 1 oz bottle of this perfume today. I wrote a first impressions review about it when I first got it about a year and a half ago, and wanted to give a final review after thoroughly wearing it.

Overall, I enjoyed wearing this fragrance. I mostly wore it as an 'at home' perfume, because it wasn't strong enough for me to smell outside but the perfect strength for indoors, even when over-sprayed. And even when I over-sprayed it, it never got "stronger" in scent, but it did last longer.

Although I enjoyed the ease of wearing Ari, I won't repurchase it for two reasons: 1) I still feel like this is juvenile scent and every time I wore it I just kept imagining how perfect it would be for pre-teen girls. It smells innocent enough to give as a first perfume to a girls as young a 10-11 yo, who would want to own their own perfume that early.
And 2) there is this harsh, astringent chemical note that I can smell when I first wear it after not wearing it for a while, but somehow I don't smell it anymore when I wear it frequently. I don't know what that's about, but that made me not want to own it again.

Additionally, I would buy the body spray version of this if I missed it enough to have it back again, just for nostalgia.

I would also recommend this to anyone who is into this scent profile and I think it's a pretty safe blind buy, unless you absolutely do not like sweet scents. Longevity is good too and gets better with each spray. It sits like a edt or a strong body spray but lasts like edp. Great performance.

TLDR: finished a bottle, enjoyed it but wouldn't buy it again because too juvenile for my taste and a harsh chemical smell at times. Would recommend for anyone but especially for young girls. Has great performance.

I just received this in the mail today. the opening is very fresh floral with citrusy smell. However, it smells HORRIBLE. Like baby wipes or baby powder. Super disgusting.

I have no idea why this perfum is labelled as sweet because its not, its super weird smelling

Smells like a pretty girl. Raspberry and marshmallow predominate, and stays pretty linear throughout its wear.

The opening is a very typical department store fragrance in a magazine sampler- that glossy paper and alcohol scent. Very fruity but not dark berry or citrus— crisp and light. Candy, but like, Cavendish & Harvey Pear and Blackberry drops, not Jolly Ranchers. Actually, this is a LOT like if Cavendish & Harvey Pear and Blackberry Drops were a scent. I get some of the rose and orchid, but it's under the candy smell.

It's nice and very safe. I like it a lot, it lasts a while on clothes

I bought this a few months ago and it is a good perfume, but not my favorite. The pear note is very overwhelming, which is fine, but I was hoping to get more of a marshmallow scent too. Very sweet and pretty, I also wish it lasted longer!

I don't want to love this as much as I do. It's a cookie cutter pink popstar perfume. But I'm obsessed. I keep trying to find something just like this that is maybe a bit more grown up but nothing hits like Ari. It's so fresh and sweet without being cloying- like a fresh fruit plate. It lasts ages and I get compliments every single time I wear it.

I love this perfume. I think it’s my fave out of my collection and I have a lot of perfumes some of them being high end LOL this is everything I want in a perfume it’s sweet fruit marshmallow perfection lol my man always compliments me when I wear this one 😌 i mean for the price, can’t beat it. smells like cotton candy! Its a lovely scent. I bought a gift pack for my bestie who loves Ariana. This scent is a safe blind buy for someone who loves subtly sweet light scents. There is an added floral sparkle to this as well that I adore. It is non-offensive and safe for daily wear. Moonlight is similar, ill be getting her that one this year. Bottles are big and adorbs.

I bought this and Sweet Like Candy as a blind buy, and I do not regret it at all. They're both really nice. And sweet, really sweet, wich I love personally. :)
I have zero knowledge or interest in her as an artist but 'm very curious to try the other fragrances from her!
Only thing I'm not totally satisfied with is the lasting power, but that's often the case when it comes to floral fruity gourmand scents, unfortunately.

At first it smell like alcool a bit. After 1 minute you can start to smell sweetness. Fruity for sure but what kind of fruit isn't clear. marshmallow and vanilla are there in this scent but mostly I can't really discifere anything else.

The bottle is great. I love the pompom for sure.

I find after a while there is only the sweetness and a powdery feel that stays. It first I loved the smell, but now I like it a little less because I find I want to overspray, but it is a fairly long lasting fragrance even though the fruity aspect is gone there remains a sugary, fresh soapy, musky sent that remains. If you overspray, you might find it a bit nauseating.

First of all, I love that pear is a signature top-note in Ariana Grande fragrances. A) I’m fond of pear wherever I encounter it, and B) it lends to the cohesion of her line, the aesthetic of which I would describe as "the world's cutest girls invade outerspace." Ari starts out with freshly cut fruit, none of which is dripping with sweetness, mind you; raspberries are tart, grapefruit is a hard-to-like citrus, and pears, unless overripe, lean much fresher than sweet. Somehow I get the nuances of all these fruits. And as with other sweet, vanilla gourmands that feature pear (like JS Fancy) I detect a slight, lingering fresh-soapiness that somehow keeps the composition from steering right into totally-edible territory.

These fruits are followed closely by a billowing cloud of marshmallow and musk. What I like about this marshmallow note in contrast to others is that instead of focusing on its borderline chalky, sickly-sweet, merinque-like, stale-sugar qualities, this marshmallow has been constructed to be as milky, puffy, pillowy, and BUTTERY as possible -- warm right off the assembly line of the factory staffed by workers with long, sleek ponytails. A nice, cheeky reminder -- as are many things about this fragrance from the juice, to the bottle, to the poofy charm attached to it -- this stuff is all manmade. No harm there. For what it is, I think this is an extremely charming, girly, appealing fragrance. Fairly linear, but also complex. The fruits remain to some degree into the dry-down. Eventually the so-called "woodsy notes" pop up, but they are very faint and sometimes smell like the faintest whisper of smoke (?). I mean, really, really faint. Overall, though, this is quite a strong, long-lasting fragrance. I don't need much of it to create a close-to-the-skin but powerful cloud.

A cool thing you can do with the corresponding Ariana Grande body sprays (or any body spray, probably) is experience the fragrance in high-speed. I had the body spray of Ari before I bought the perfume and used it as a room freshener. Everything I noticed can be experienced in 15 minutes, if you'd rather, which weirdly makes the body spray seem more complex because, though more fleeting and ethereal, it is also more packed with action.

But just to emphasize that buttery quality with a final image -- this reminds me of whipping up a quick after-school batch of Rice Krispie treats by melting the butter and marshmallows in the microwave to save time. What a strange place early-aughts American suburbia was -- a place where you can call that food. -_-

This is a scent that's barely there. I could see this perfect for a teenage girl. This has no sillage, no projection, no longevity and nothing spectacular. I did notice that both Bath and Body Works and Victoria's Secret are trying hard to dupe all of Arianna's fragrances. Imitation is the best form of flattery they say. Like Brittany Spears this will probably be in Walmart for the next 2 decades and will keep clocking up many coins for this young lady. This scent was a super faint tart sweet raspberry stale pastry. Not for me but definitely not offensive. I'll always sample whatever she puts out in the fragrance world market.

smells like a raspberry donut. it's pretty and I like it, but it's nothing remarkable to me. lasts all of one hour on my skin, and I can barely smell it when it IS there; it performs like a body spray. i ended up decluttering my bottle; I have similar scents that do the same thing + perform much better.

Sweeter than sweet like candy in a good way. Raspberry and marshmallow smell heavenly here. Longevity is weak and so is the projection but it's affordable so you can over spray. ☺️ 7/10

Great for every day wear, love the raspberry/marshmallow combo of this scent, it’s sweet and fluffy I had all of Ariana Grandes perfumes except this one don’t know why I was sleeping on it.

Smells like pear to me

honestly as a gourmand lover, I tried Ari, cloud, and sweet like candy in the store and I'd say Ari is the sweetest.

This perfume is my signature for a reason. I got it as a gift 8 years ago and I have been addicted to it ever since. It smells a lot like pear in the opening and after a few hours, the marshmallow and musk base notes come out. It's a sweet perfume but not overpowering. It lasts all day for me and I have a gotten a few compliments on it. It's definitely not too intense though that you can smell it from a mile away. For me, since it's a light scent but also quite gourmand in the base notes, I think it suits the Autumn and Winter seasons the most and it's definitely a day perfume but once again, the base notes are also good as a night time scent. Overall 10/10 score, really love!

When I first smelled Ari I instantly loved it. I love raspberry in my perfumes and it smelled like sweet raspberry with fluffy marshmallows. The grapefruit is also prominent which gives it a nice freshness in the opening. It was absolutely intoxicating. However, it is quite strong/concentrated. If you spray it on your chest or neck area, even one spray, you'll be smelling it for hours. That experience deterred me from it a little because I started to get nauseous. I still love the smell of this so much but I think my body remembers that experience so it's kind of hard for me to wear it. The longevity is good, lasts 6+ hours. Now when I wear this I only spray on my arms and dab a little behind the ears. Overall, a really girly sweet yummy gourmand perfume. But if you have a sensitive nose, be careful with how much and where you spray it.

I got this as a body spray from Target, so I definitely don't have much authority on the complexity or longevity of the scent, but it's definitely interesting. It's sweet and a little musky, and it dries to be a little smoky on me as well. I like it, but it's definitely not my favorite from her. I'd say get Cloud instead if you want something sweet.

I didn’t like this perfume at first but after giving it a second try I fell in love. It smells like a marshmallowy raspberry with a fruity tartness. It’s so simple yet so beautiful and feminine + appropriate for all occasions and seasons. Projection & sillage are good too. I’ve received so many compliments and I will definitely purchase the biggest bottle next time!

I used to dislike this but now I love it. It used to smell so strong, agressive and shampoo-like to me. Funnily enough, I still think it is a bit too powerful vs what I would like it to be & that it still has a shampoo quality, but now it seems nicer and rounder to me.

Ari is very bright, very fruity, a bit floral, very "pink", very bubbly, very feminine. It smells exactly like it looks. Girly and proper. However, it doesn't smell extremely juvenile to me. In the drydown, you'll be met with an underlying soft, clean vibe & a tinge of sweetness -- must be the musk mixing with the tender, mellow marshmallow.

The fragrance is very versatile in terms of personalities & vibes it could fit to. I'm way past my teenage years but I would totally wear this on a sunny spring day to go to work, while wearing one of my favourite dress and an elegant trench coat. Ari smells youthful, but not childish. I really find it perfect for spring cause it holds such an optimistic and happy energy. It can still work in summer, as long as you don't wear it in super hot weather (above 30°C might be too much).

In short, it's a really cute, affordable and easily likeable pick-me up scent for gourmand and sweet fruity-floral lovers :)

Really disappointed with this. I was hoping for marshmallow, I don't detect marshmallows at all. This, to me, smells like cheap cologne for teenage girls.

It smells kinda like Si Passione but with lower quality ingredients.

I'm a little surprised by how many positive reviews this has. I'm a gourmand lover, but to me, this is just plasticky marshmallow. Really cheep-smelling. Unfortunately for me, it did stick around for a very long time haha.

This is 2ND favorite fragrance by Ariana! It’s so GOOD! I had to stop Myself from wearing it. It smells like one of the color Pink’s if it were a smell; like Baby Shower Pink 😂! It’s great for layering as well. If you don’t have it and you love sweet girly scents…GO GET IT!!!

I have to say, each time I wear this I am reminded that Ari is actually one of my favorite Ariana fragrances. It's so tart yet cozy. It has a powdery element that I can detect as well - I can see why people say this reminds them of a powdered raspberry donut. The drydown retains some of the tart fruitiness I get at first spray, but the marshmallow really adds a fluffy, cozy depth that I enjoy. I keep getting whiffs of my sweatshirt and it's just very pleasant. I just finished my second bottle of this, and I already have a backup. This is probably one of my most worn Ariana Grande fragrances next to God Is a woman. Moonlight and Cloud are not far behind at all, as I adore them as well.

I got it as a christmas present. I usually go for more aquatic kind of scents. Lots of perfumes are too sweet for me for example Burberry Her but surprisingly I love Ari by Ariana Grande. It’s a very yummy, cozy and fruity scent for me. Ideal for the colder months. I have cloud also (another present gifted to me) but I like ari much more.

Smells like raspberry-pear fruit bonbons. Very sweet, fruity, light and girly. I like! And it helps that the bottle is super cute.

I like it, it’s sweet, fruity. And it smells like a sweet shampoo.. to me, it smells really similar to sweet like candy but the difference is this shampoo smell. i can only smell marshmallows at the dry down. I like its vibe more than its actual smell. It just feels like ‘mean girls’, girly, young, popular.

To me, it smells like sugared pineapple marshmallow. The sweetness of marshmallow and vanilla is lovely, but the grapefruit note turns me off. It doesn't matter because it quickly becomes a generic sweet skin scent. Really fun for a sample but won't buy a bottle.

One of Ariana’s best scents for sure (alongside Cloud)! This is exactly the type of scent that I tend to gravitate towards - sweet, marshmallow and fruity. It smells like vanilla cotton candy with a hint of mostly raspberry but also a tad bit of grapefruit that balances it out very well. The dry down is a beautiful woodsy marshmallow/vanilla scent. On me I could still smell the fragrance 12 hours after applying it, and at the 9 hours mark I could still smell it pretty well! I don’t get any florals in this perfume which is a plus because I’m usually not into florals in my perfumes, neither did I get the pear note at all. But it smells absolutely delicious and I’ve got compliments on it!

On my skin this smells sooo good when it's just freshly sprayed. Such a good sweet fruity scent, I want to describe it as "sharp" but I feel like that is too strong or harsh. Maybe "bright" or "crisp"? But it too quickly dries down a little far on the powdery side for my taste. But I still keep sniffing it and even as I'm writing this out, it's growing on me. I might take the powdery comment back. It's so on the cusp for my personal taste, but the powdery scent seems to be fading as this develops, or I'm getting more used to it.

On my clothes this just smells like alcohol at first spray, and then dries down to smell almost exactly like a generic brand spray n wash laundry stain remover I have. Will definitely remember that and only spray on my skin.

I only have a little splash bottle for now... I'll see how much use it gets before I buy any more, but if I end up reaching for this a lot, a could see myself buying a full sized one.

Ok even as I reread this review to proof before sending, this perfume keeps growing on me more and more and I could see this becoming a regular for me or even adopting it as my signature. I'm just not sure yet if it's going to stay fresh and bright enough for me as it wears down.

Nice, generic sweet perfume. Nothing more, nothing less. Smells kind of artificial at first spray, but that goes away very quickly and the scent turns very pleasant, not offensive at all. The notes do all kind of blend together into a sweet, generic scent for me - kind of what you would expect from a celeb perfume. I was actually surprised to see marshmallow listed as a note because that’s one of my favorite notes. I’m not saying it’s not there, but to me it’s not discernible from the rest of the notes and does not present itself in a gourmand way by any means. (Which is how i like my marshmallow in perfume btw)

Recommend for anyone looking for a sweet, crowd pleasing perfume that doesn’t break the bank!

Edit: I have fallen in love with this scent. I crave it now, & I think it just might become my signature scent for sleeping lol.
This is a super sweet, fruity, & powdery scent. It’s pleasant & not too overwhelming. I like it & I do find it pleasant, but it’s honestly a bit juvenile for me. I’ll wear it if I’m in a fun mood or maybe one day if I’m feeling especially girly. Other than that it’s a nice “around the house/Netflix & chill” scent for me.

I’ve been buying this fragrance on and off since 2015 it was my signature scent in high school and even though it’s 2022 I still really enjoy this scent it’s a beautiful raspberry with a lil pear, marshmallow and woody scent on me I’ve been through almost 4 bottles of this about to go pick up my 5th because I love this scent so much + this is one of the few scents my significant other has complimented

The grapefruit in this is absolutely disgusting, it smells like mothballs and bad breath. One of the most dissapointing perfumes ever. Avoid unless you like whiffs of stale breath/nursing home.
