drugstore classics

Haiku is still as relevant and wearable as ever - for those who can wear aquatics, haha. It should come with a warning: contains 'calone' and is more aquatic than the notes appear. :) An excellent Avon release that has easily stood the test of time. For those who enjoy scents such as 5th Avenue. Simple and ideal for a hot summer day.

Pleasant, clean, floral smell. I agree it does smell like a general bodywash, but I love that it makes me feel clean, put together, and not too overpowering. Lasts for hours on me, great price point. I wear this to the office all the time I love it

janineebofeenie

I haven't smelled Haiku in over 20 years. I remember that when I had it I just couldn't appreciate it. So today I was shopping in a little desert discount store and a lonely bottle was just sitting there waiting to be sniffed. This is gorgeous and I feel it isn't dated at all. Fresh and green.
It's funny how our noses change as we get older. This is a sophisticated fragrance and I generally don't care for Avon but Haiku is a winner in my book. So I picked her up and am very happy I did.

Cherryjubillee

This perfume is verryyy clean and fresh smelling it reminds me of like the ocean or something, its very refrshing and light. Its VERY strong i only need to spray 2 spritz max.

I adore this fragrance and frequently recommend it to my clients; it's one of Avon's top-selling scents! This invigorating Fresh Green Floral fragrance is designed to awaken your senses. Opening with crisp top notes of Japanese Yuzu citrus fruit, it effortlessly transitions into a delicate heart of Lily-of-the-Valley, creating a harmonious floral experience. The journey concludes with a lingering musky base note of Blonde Woods, leaving an enduring and enchanting impression. Haiku is a timeless composition that evokes the serenity of a Japanese garden. I suggest enhancing the fragrance experience by incorporating beauty items infused with the same delightful scent, such as Haiku Shampoo and Haiku Deodorant.

To maintain transparency, I must disclose that I serve as an Independent Sales Representative for Avon in the United States. If you'd like to explore the Haiku family of fragrance products, I invite you to find them at the following link: https://bit.ly/3ez9a37.

Snow1809

It's a non offensive aquatic/white florals scent. I do find Haiku a tiny bit sweet and refreshing and I usually don't tolerate with aquatic, white florals, and, or ozonic scents. The only downside is that it's very intimate.

jennajesens

A beautiful, aquatic white floral with soft notes of pomegranate, dewy lily of the valley, and yuzu! There's a soft musky, sandalwood base which is really cute and rounds out this fragrance really well. Quite affordable and pleasant fragrance, definitely suitable for all ages/genders (though all perfume is--wear what you want!) I can definitely see this working as a room spray as well as a perfume. It's nice, crisp, and clean! Would be great to wear if you're doing something athletic, or just going to the office.

camphor_lover

This was released in 2000 and it smells like it. I use it as a room spray/wear it to bed and I find it very comforting, it reminds me of my childhood best friend’s house. It’s not listed in the notes but there’s something in it that makes me think of green tea. I agree with SundayGirl07 that it’s a “soft body wash” smell: soapy, powdery, perfumey.

It’s not really my thing to wear out (for that for Avon I have Haiku Kyoto Flower, crisp clean gentle floral). I can appreciate it for what it is and at $20 I’d say it’s a safe blind buy.

SundayGirl07

Lovely soft body wash smell. It just smells clean. Not overpowering at all. Which is so great if you're someone that can't handle smells that are too strong or are looking for a perfume you can wear to bed. Personally, I love it. It's not a dupe for My Glow by Jennifer Lopez but it has that same vibe in the calming soft smell it gives off.

EDIT: I have figured out the smell! It smells exactly like Waterfall Mist shampoo by Suave.

I happened to see this listed in a “reminds me of” and wow did I forget all about this! As soon as I saw the bottle I was transported to Colorado Springs, 2002, receiving bottles of this from my grandpa’s annoying but kind-enough girlfriend. I didn’t love it but I did use it to be nice and it grew on me.

I can sort of smell it in my memory, but not in the way I normally would. I’m pretty good at that usually. Definitely “clean,” somewhat powdery. Nothing inherently special. But generic and…definitely Avon. She also gifted me a maroon plastic bottle of something…idk, I wasn’t a fan. But now I’m curious to find it and at least look at the notes. I have no scent memory of that. I’m thinking a lot of cheap musk.

Anyway, blast from the past. I forgot all about this stuff (and that’s fine with me!). I want to know who the woman is who is wearing this by choice! I actually think she’s probably lovely

EpicureOrHedonist?

Fresh, soapy, shampoo-y. Nice to spritz on skin when you're heading off to a sweaty activity. Smells nondescriptly perfumey on clothing, with a little green lean + lily.

It's not very exciting in the top or base, sorta sits firmly in middle ground. Could lend a soapy base to other scents you'd want to freshen up. I'd caution using with other cheapies as layering could easily get messy and headache inducing.

Does smell synthetic but doesn't scream cheap or screechy. Just keep in mind you won't be smelling anything photorealistic or juicy.

(I unintentionally layered this under a niche coffee/rose/amber scent and it lent a masculine freshness which was pleasantly surprising.)

Ashlii_3xe

My mom had this perfume and she loves it. Honestly this fragrance gives me a headache aaa. But it smells okay heavily on florals plus very nostalgic!

i am testing from an older bottle. mostly i get lily, dew drop, freesia, musk and vetiver at first. kind of surprised how strong the vetiver is. this smells very familiar and instantly takes me back to the 90s/early 00s. it's green, floral and quite strong actually. there is a slight sweetness. this is one that's better wafting than up close. up close it's slightly headache-inducing for me. from afar it reminds me of a softer more subdued prescriptives calyx, which i wore back in the day. sadly, i don't think this one will work for me, as its not my style but would be wonderful on the right person.

RetroPickle

I wear a wide variety of perfumes at work. Designer, cheapie, floral, sweet, expensive, etc. NO BULLSH*T this perfume is the one that gets me the most compliments and questions out of any. I work retail and have had probably around 20 people ask me what I'm wearing. This is honestly so underrated and beautiful!

I repurchased this perfume a little while back for nostalgia purposes. I remember liking it but wasn't sure if I would enjoy it as much as I used to. Many perfumes like this one were such treasured gems for me, my mom, and sister when Avon was popular and we would receive catalogues. I'm so glad I bought it again because I wear it all the time now and everyone around me loves it. 😍

Sweetz99

I was gifted this perfume. Didn't think much of it, didn't even open it. And then I did and sprayed it on and all I smelt was nostalgia.
It was like I'd gone back in time like 15 years.

This scent reminds me of my childhood, sitting on the bed watching my mum and gran "get ready" and then force me to rub some moisturizer and talcum powder into my face.
Because this smells like that powder - that cheap tall purple bottle which covered the vanity in tiny white talc snow. Or me spreading it all over the floor to slide on. Or me covering my body in it when I was a gross sweaty mess and deodorant sticks weren't exactly a thing.

It's not an old lady scent, it's not. It's just fresh floral, somewhat synthetic and smells better on the skin and with time, than it does on clothing. Non-offensive and straightforward.

It's really not my scent - my winters are cloying caramel gourmand and summers are tea, woodsy amber, musk and floral. But I still spray this on more than I thought I would, and it makes me smile.

laurens_perfume_closet

One of my earliest perfumes. Oh so dewy, soapy, fresh. It was also a beast. There was nothing sharp about this, at least for me, warm, soft... It left one of the most gorgeous trails passing by people. As much as I loved it I never felt inspired to buy it again.

laura.linger.3

A delicious little gem that I bought in the hopes that I could replace my beloved China Rain.

Haiku is even better. It is an elegant scent with the overtones of green and clean and floral. Yes, Haiku manages all three, even in the drydown. I will always miss China Rain, but now that I have Haiku, I am not as sad.

And you can't beat the price.

ThatGothBBW

I'll keep this simple. It's a super fresh, clean, green fragrance. Soapy but not one of those bitter green fragrances. It's reallllly nice. Really well blended. This would be beautiful to wear on a cool, dewey, spring morning. It's so fresh and clean.
I think it's one of the best green fragrances out there IMO. It's got really Performance and projection too!

luluxielle

This is my perfume when I was in middle school. It's fresh, floral and citrusy like you just had a shower. The opening notes is kinda strong but quickly fades into something more gentle.

After almost two decades I decided to buy a bottle just to reminisce about my teenage days and I'm glad it did. I wear it on the morning then the purse concentre on the afternoon. It energizes me to listen to the class because I sit near the classroom window and the bright sun makes me feel sleepy, lol!

Although, the old formulation is more quality and a little bit stronger. I can't say this is my favorite because it's not really a unique scent but I'm keeping it because it's close to my heart, remembering my early teens.

Now I use this as an after shower cologne.

VMonster

This came in my order alongside 3 other Avon perfumes I've been playing with. A classic, but not my usual fare, I was curious to try it. Unfortunately, I don't think I enjoy lily of the valley in my perfumes. This is green and fresh to be sure, but there's a bit of sharpness that threatens to give me a headache in here as well. It just doesn't vibe with me. Haiku Reflection, on the other hand, is stunning and so unique like nothing I've smelled before (powdery-fresh aquatic). I let my mom sniff this one and she loved it more than Reflection, so she gets to keep this one and I'm keeping Reflection. The bottle of original Haiku with its frosted glass is soooo much prettier; they should have made Reflection with frosted glass too!

I totally respect this perfume for what it is but it's just not going to remain in my scent collection; not everything can be after all!

stillalive

This is a great dupe for Chanel No19! It starts out sweet and juicy vs. No19's earthy petrichor smell, but they become more and more similar as they dry down. After 30-60 minutes, I can barely tell the difference. I'd say No19 has a little more staying power and complexity, but it's also almost 10x more expensive! Neither of them have strong projection on me.

If you're looking for a Chanel No19 dupe (or just a nice compatible deodorant and lotion), this is a great, affordable choice!

LisaMCollins

I think this scent is depending on your skin type if it is going to be strong or weak. My skin tends to be very dry. That being said, Haiku is a beast on my skin. The LOV is quite strong on first spritz, but mellows quickly into what reminds me of french milled soap with a touch of sweetness. It also lasts an extraordinarily long time on clothing and hair.

RanDes

This has been in my top 5 fragrances for years. I also have a few of the Flankers as well but this one is classic & beautiful. It's a green fragrance all the way with floral hints. Rain on the bushes & leaves in a wide open park while walking past jasmine & lily of the valley. It lasts unbelievably long on my skin, I spray in the morning about 4-5 sprays and I can still smell it on my arms the next morning getting in the shower. I will still smell it on my clothes before I was them days later. I will always have this in my collection.

Goddess Essence

This is one of my top daily fragrances of all time. This lush, gorgeous beauty is my go to morning 'Zen' fragrance. I awaken and spray one or two sprays before my morning tea or sometimes coffee and it awakens and refreshes my mind immediately. I wear this during my workout, and it energizes me. It is truly a fresh morning fragrance for all seasons. Summertime, spring or fall rainy days also perfect. IMO mornings are the best times for this beauty also anytime during the day. It is very feminine and green floral rich. This perfume needs to be sprayed and then 'rest' for a month or two to fully 'open up' to it's potential. Very good value of a fragrance as well indeed.
I feel I need to expand on this scent just a lil bit more. The notes I pick up most are, lily of the valley, a lemony type of citrus I think its yuzu but not sure and jasmine with white flowers and a cotton musk scent. This fragrance is lush and very green, very ethereal and clean. Its perfect for any occasion really very feminine and pretty, yet classy and fresh more so than clean really. It's been very dreary weather where I'm at lately, my body aches as well some days, with a couple of sprays of this and I feel ready for the world. It's an uplifting fragrance as well. Cheer your mood right on up. I have been using this almost daily lately and it's now in my top 5. It's very long lasting as time goes by and as the juice ages in the bottle it also turns a greener color as well. Which Imo makes it even more luscious. Also there is a vintage like quality to it the bottle and the scent. Something a lady would wear in the 1920's, it's prim and proper as well very ladylike. People around you will try to get closer to smell you in this fume. It;s similar to' Light Blue' by D and G I have that as well but I prefer Haiku its better more evolved note wise and much longer lasting on plus the price can't be beat. A classic.
Let me add one more FACT a few ladies like to call this and other fragrances 'old lady' fumes. HERES THE DEAL, When I first met Haiku almost 20 years ago, I did NOT like her at all. She smelled very 'cold' and citrusy to my nose. Was not a fan. A little while down the road, I gave her away to a friend of mine without a thought. However, as time went on and I grew older as lucky people do and guess what my hormones changed, like allot. So now many scents smell completely different to and on me. Some frags I can no longer tolerate as I once did, although I still love them, I cannot wear them any longer ie; original Far Away perfume which was once my fave although I do wear the Gold Far Away easily allot. I can smell allot of notes in Haiku that I could not smell before pre menopause. But boy do I love Haiku it's like a whole new perfume to me now. Brand new almost to my nose. So never say never ladies you may go down the road a few years and if Haiku is still around you may find yourself in love with it just like me. Better than fragrances ten times the price out there, especially today. I'm currently hoarding bottles when on sale, I hope I never run out and Avon never discontinues this BEAUTY. Incredible.

QUICK TIP; If you want Haiku to project more spray onto hair. Even if you have shorter hair, you can spray back of head along with your usual spray areas. This can give you a few hours of good projection. Also, I noticed the sprayer itself does not give as good amount of spray dispersion. I think Avon is trying to save money and skimping on the quality of the sprayer. If you replace the sprayer with a better one your Haiku will smell much more stronger and project more. PS I always keep old sprayers for this reason lol.
So I recently purchased new bottles. formula has changed apparently. It smells lighter yet richer at the same time oddly. These are 2018 bottles my last were 2016 marked. They smell weaker for now but they also smell like my 2004 bottles just lighter. I will let them macerate for a couple months and see them hopefully I'm sure get stronger. The potential is there so wait and see. They will get stronger the more time goes by. They normally do. We shall see...

H. is a familiar scent I can't place. I can't remember when or where this fragrance came into smelling range, or who wore it. In any case, H. just showed up in a lot of vintage perfumes. Hello H.! A reviewer correctly cautions about overspraying:
that's very good advice. H. has good sillage and lasting power, a little goes a loooong way.
The bottle shape resembles a pagoda with the name in pseudo brush strokes, a nice touch.
To sum it up, H. is wearable and likable. Nothing fancy or unusual but def. good value for the price.

I loved this perfume when I had it in my collection. It has been a few years since I have worn this - and I'm looking at this again, wondering how similar Valentino's Donna Rosa Verde is to this perfume. I love both, both are spa-like, fresh, clear the air/clear the head type perfumes.

Valentino's Donna Rosa Verde smells more like a lemon drop candy. That is one of my new favorites, I'm just wondering how close it is to the original Haiku by Avon!

Marzag

Wow! This is gorgeous! I'm sure this is one of Avon's finest (I haven't smelled them all so I can't be sure about that). I just love this! I had never tried it until today. I know I've probably smelled it sometime in the past, but I didn't know what I was smelling and I never asked. It smells fresh and clean, but not in a soapy way. It's very elegant. Well done, Avon. This could be one of my favorites. I have not smelled CK1 in a long time, but Haiku kind of reminds me of that fragrance. Of course, Haiku is sweeter and more feminine than CK1, but there is a vague similarity between the two (in my opinion).

Haiku also kind of reminds me of the original Light Blue, but they are obviously not the same (I prefer Haiku). And you can't beat Haiku's price! I can still smell it very well after spraying it on my wrists over two hours ago. I wish I could say the same for some other perfumes that I have in my collection such as Elizabeth Taylor's Violet Eyes (I can't smell that one on myself at all). Haiku is a win-win as far as I'm concerned! I think it would make a great gift for other people such as friends, co-workers, and family members because it is inexpensive and there's absolutely nothing offensive about it. Some fragrances are a gamble whenever you're buying them as a gift for others, but Haiku is a safe bet. It's also a safe blind buy. This fragrance can easily compete with a lot of high-end fragrances that you find in better department stores. It is just as good if not better.

xmikax

This is okay. Very clean and sharp florals with aquatic accords. It’s nice but I wouldn’t keep it in my collection

animal lover 20

In my quest for a zen fragrance I got many replies in the forum for this. Unfortunately Avon USA does offers international shipping and in other European sites of Avon it does not exist. It must be a very nice fragrance, you are very fortunate that you can still find it in USA.

audreysoccer

I mean Avon did not go wrong. This is a crowd pleaser. It's a pretty floral. I want to compare this to something....but I can't. It's a fresh, floral like Amazing Grace or White tea by Elizabeth Arden.

LisaMCollins

This one is lovely, but beware, although it is light, you shouldn't overspray.

Countrygurl

Love this soapy classic clean floral. Scent lasts a long time. Outlast many of my expensive perfumes. Great value!
I prefer this one over any of haiku flanker s I've tried.

barbara_ev

Very nice design!

ClassicsLover

I've been using this fragrance since it first came out. I really liked that it is a very sedate lily of the valley scent as opposed to something like Jessica McClintock, which has that very herbal opening that later turns into a very sharp scent on me. I don't have that issue with Haiku. It's very soft and musky on me. My daughter just purchased Haiku Intense, which is not listed on this site yet, and I tried it. To my amateur nose it really doesn't smell that different. The big difference is in performance. I'm getting double the millage and projection than the original formula. It lasted the whole day on me with less sprays than the original formula. It also smells just the slightest bit fresher than the original formula but that could be because it's a new bottle. The next time around I think I'll just go with the Intense version so I can save myself the trouble of having to freshen up my perfume throughout the day. I'm so glad Avon has not discontinued this scent.

Raven NessRavenous

I was disappointed when Avon discontinued Forrest Lily 20 years ago. After Forrest Lily was discontinued, Avon came out with Haiku. I didn’t purchase it because it was not quite the same as Forrest Lily. A few years later, I smelled Haiku on a co-worker and was intrigued. When I asked her what the scent was and she sad, “Haiku,” I ordered the bottle, deodorant, and lotion. I love Lily of the Valley scents. I however, felt a bit guilty picking up my co-workers signature scent and since my husband was enjoying me wearing Clinique Happy more, I decided to give the set to my co-worker, who was thrilled. A few weeks ago, Avon came out with Haiku Sacred and it is beautiful. My husband loves haiku sacred on me. I might splurge and get the Haiku original plus all the flankers. Not to mention, I love the idea of wearing a Japanese poem!
Edit 2022: I wear this original Haiku in the cream, deodorant and perfume as a signature scent. I love the prominent Lilly of the valley and somehow this is clean and green in an earthy way while still being ethereal. Really reminds me of the Forrest Lily fragrance I wore and adored in the 90s. Haiku has a most delicate powdery touch. Clean, earthy, green, easy going, floral, long lasting. I never want to be without this original Haiku. It truly is minimalistic yet complex, like Haiku poetry.

DragonDonuts99

Clean, fresh, “millennium” fragrance. In the mid 90’s the designers moved away from sweet florals and went into a more clean/aquatic unisex genre of fragrances. From 1996-2005 these “rainy/oceanic/fresh aquatics” reigned supreme. I smell green notes, aloe, tea, rain, with addition of a musk. Wonderful for people who have allergies, does not offend them and perfect for office/school wear. As long as Avon makes this, I will purchase it. A great reminder of that time period! Smells just as great today, as it did yesterday.

americanablonde

This was my signature scent for years, and is definitely the perfume I get complimented on the most!

The scent is very clean and floral, even a bit tart, which dries down with a feminine muskiness. The longevity, on me, is outstanding, lasting easily for 6 hours or more. For being only $20, the quality is amazing, and I'm still consistently surprised by how beautiful the scent is.

avonman

Just An FYI All You Haiku Lovers....Avon Is Coming out With Haiku INTENSE In C.10!!

hadiyahadiyah

🙂 one of avon's very best. if you're a fan of clean, green florals but are sick of the generic, boring, kinda commercial "fresh" scents being pushed, you might like this. it's peaceful and graceful with unusual notes. layers nicely with something a bit deeper. like a good white musk.
beautiful.

KooKooKatie

This fragrance is just lush, green, fresh, citrussy flowery happiness in a bottle. I accidentally sprayed it over some Mitsouko that was on my top from the day before, and the mix was outstanding! I love this original Haiku and the Kaiku Lotus Flower so much. Avon has become my favorite perfume house; the perfumes they create are so affordable, good quality and long-lasting! I am not even going to waste my money on the more expensive fragrances anymore as they just simply do not last as long on me as the Avon ones do.

GooseWithAGrudge

My mother does not like tuberose. In fact, she hates it with a passion. If there was a flower she could delete off the face of the earth, it is tuberose. Where am I going with this?

Because when I was young, in mid-elementary school, our next door neighbor sold Avon. She had three sons I was friends with, and she enjoyed having a girl around sometimes, and she’d give me makeup samples to mess around with. One of those sample kits she gave me had a little vial of Haiku in it, and I fell in love with it. To a nine-year-old, this was THE CLASSIEST thing I’d ever smelled. My mom also really enjoys perfume, so I figured she wouldn’t object too much to getting what I considered the epitome of perfumery from my friends’ mom. But when I brought her the little vial to smell, her reaction was “bleaaargh tuberose!” It almost broke my heart.

Fast forward a good fifteen years, and I’m living in my own place. I’m out and about one day, and I discover a small shop where this dude sells Avon. I asked him, just out of idle curiosity, if Haiku is still manufactured. To my delight. It is. Of course I bought it. What seemed so expensive to me back then was... actually $20, so I could totally fulfill my childhood dream of Haiku. And it still smells just like I remembered it.

This is a light, fresh, very pleasant white floral with some citrus for variety. Uh, there is noticeable tuberose, so if you’re like my mom, stay away. Performance is about average, five or so hours and a fairly intimate silage. This is perfect for office or public places, because to get beast mode you’d have to take a bath in the stuff. Cute pagoda shaped bottle, too!

Mona708

Just the right blend of sweet and tart! This is another scent I’ve liked since high school. I’m so happy to see that it’s still available. Unless you bathe in a tub of it before going out, you can wear this pretty much anytime and anywhere. The musk isn’t very strong, so this would be a great choice for someone who doesn’t like strong musk notes.

Turkmenbashi

I first ordered Haiku when I was a teenager (one of the Avon catalogs contained a sample of it and I loved it). I don't wear Haiku anymore as my taste has changed but I really appreciate what a quality fragrance this is at such an incredibly cheap price point. I even still have a Haiku scented powder from back in the day. This is happy, chilled out, and very office/public safe.

Coffeeandperfume

Very soft, clean and fresh green. Lily of the valley is wonderful here. Gives off cold vibes when on my skin but not on my coworker. It's warmer and softer on her. Very long lasting.

Dreamdott

Oh how I love this! This is such a peaceful... zen... calming fragrance. It was my first love and is still very much a part of my collection. I don't have too many "green" scents but I'm Happy I have this. Its gives the feeling of walking in a garden on a windy day. There's a waterfall and flowers everywhere. Birds are chirping but its still so so calm. You can wear this as a therapy scent or spray it in the air before yoga. Its very good if you're trying to fall asleep because it is a bit powdery. Its not lavender or anything but I would say its much, much better than lavender. I think this gives the feel of spring but you can wear this anytime...other than winter. Love it! The only downfall is it doesn't last too long😭 but still it captivates me for the time that it does last.

and_then_some_7

I have a co-worker who wears this. She's in her 60's, doesn't matter. Women of all ages can wear the Haiku, and I can't imagine anyone being offended. It's such a pleasant smell.

Due to COVID-19, I've been working from home for months now, and even though I really do not want to go back to the office, walking past my co-worker every morning was one of the highlights of my day! Because of Haiku!

moonsunstars

Wore quite well as I ran errands yesterday. Took my mask off when I got home and I could still catch whiffs of it, despite being out in the hot weather (around 4-5 hours). Reapplied when I retired to my pajamas, and was surprised to smell it on my skin and clothing this morning. I paired it with the body lotion, which smells just as lovely.

Now, on to the scent...Haiku is light but definitely not undetectable. Lily of the valley is the prominent note I can detect throughout wear time, and I like how the citrus and Pomergranate freshen the fragrance up even more. I think I even noticed the fig too - it is definitely a bit green. Glad I decided to give this a try. Perfect perfume for this time of year.

Hurricane_Hilda

It’s a summer must have I love this fragrance and it cost little to nothing. One of the only Avon scents that I love

savannah401

The fragrance is nice, it has a fresh and powdery scent.

mevans

A nice powdery, clean and fresh scent. Lily of the valley is there but not overwhelming. I'm not a fan of lily of the valley so the fact that it blends in with the other florals very well is important. I like how Avon reliably has the body wash, lotions and other products to layer their fragrances and make them last all day. Performance on this one though is good anyway. I could still catch the scent hours later without layering.

violetstorm

one of my favorite lily of the valley scents...........avon did a great job with this one............very clean white floral :) its a bit strong at first then it does settle down a bit & nicely lingers..........if u like green white florals this i would say is a must :)

i picture myself hiking thru a lush green forest with waterfalls & lilies..........so zen like lol :)

RachaelHanna

Smells very strongly of citrus, wood, and lilies. Very fresh, light and happy scent. More mature than trendy, though not "old ladyish" at all. This is my go-to favorite fragrance; the only fragrance that compares (and is a close second for me) is Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream.

melissaliu1

First impression: This is such a clean white floral scent, fresh cut and standing upright even to a summer torrent. It's tranquil and soapy as opposed to lavish or sweet.

taureanrage69

I've enjoyed this since it first came out and glad Avon didn't discontinue it. It was destined to become a classic and the flankers are all beautiful too. It's floral-citrusy-green with some interesting notes that I don't see often in perfumery, like kumquat, prunella and others. It also has a bit of an aquatic feel to it, and a very mild vanilla in the background. It smells like the bottle looks: green, soothing and tranquil. I'm surprised at the length of wear for this one too. If I had any complaints it would be that the top notes, though pleasant, are a bit shrill, so thankfully they calm down shortly into the soft almost-aquatic floral that the fragrance becomes. I've used multiple bottles and was glad to get another for Christmas.

mawasim2002

This scent is calming, soothing and gives you a sense of peace. There are two distinct notes in this scent. The first and most obvious one is the lilly of the valley and then the undercurrent of citrus. These two combine to create a fresh and calming scent. I find i smell this scent better in warm weather than cold. It is long lasting you can get 6 hours wear out of it and it has arms length projection and it is cheap! This scent will be a staple in my perfume collection from now on. Definitely a good fragrance for your busy days to keep you calm.

Lel

Cool and fresh this is wonderful on your skin on a hot day. I adore the bottle and am very pleased with this purchase. I did notice the citrus notes too and although after about four hours it has a soapy smell I don't mind this as you can always lightly top up. I still managed to get for a reasonable price. Happy.

The.notorious.n.a.p.p.e.r

Oh how I dream to have this scent back in my hands. Pure beauty.

tittertat

Haiku is a great name for this poetic, pretty scent. Simple yet refined. It's not so floral as to overwhelm, not so sharp as to be astringent. Just a well blended mixture of lily, citrus, summery breeze. My second favorite Avon scent, I love the Body creams even more than the sprays from Avon. It's a serene scent, if you want to get in a Zen mode.

Julia Glenn

I've never found another fragrance like my longtime-love Haiku. Such an interesting mix of creamy white lillies & the fresh bitter bite of Japanese citrus....adore adore adore!

Virginiabelle

Citrus? Where? On me this is a straight up Lilly of the Valley scent. Doesn't change, just weakens with time.

That being said, it is a good scent. I did get compliments, and one lady asked where did I manage to find a bottle of Muguet de Bois.

I find it a little "dressy" for workday use. This puts me in mind of what ladies here in the South USA wear at church.

All three of the current Haiku line are decent fragrances. The pagoda shape bottles will look cute on your vanity, if you are the type to collect perfume bottles.

I have Haiku and Shi, which is what Haiku has been compared to. On me Haiku is more floral than Shi. I get the comparison since they are both light and non offensive, what I refer to as sweet water type scents. However I prefer Shi, it stays with me when I leave the house. Whereas Haiku gets lost in the slightest wind. Haiku is a nice fragrance, simple, crisp, and clean. I had the body lotion as well and actually liked it more than the perfume. Haiku has a cute bottle, and would be a nice gift for a teen or someone who isn’t into heavy scents.

Haiku by Avon

Based on the reviews on here, I took a chance and bought one at a good cost. It came with Kyoto flower Haiku by Avon along with that price even better deal, (since the others were the same price but you get one bottle).

I was busy at the time when first sprayed on and truly liking it, it smelled just like the color of the box. Then approximately 10 mins or longer I took small whiffed and I’m thinking to myself, I can’t make of this? So I proceed with my busy, now it’s been a 1/2 hour total. Then I did sniff and this time I know now I’m not liking it and it reminded me of something, just couldn’t put my finger on it? I waited and did random whiffs and sniff (not too many, I didn’t want to lose my sniffer sensor) I guess I could of went and smell coffee grounds, better to use coffee beans though but I didn’t have any. Going forward, I did another sniff and it’s coming to me” then it hit me like a ton of bricks!! It reeks like Axe for men those body sprays, when they first came out! NOPE! Just not for me. Then it converted to men’s cologne for a short time the water kind and then it changed a little soft but the Axe smell is there. It’s not Manley smell it more unisex though. It smells along the seams of Pure by Donna Karan. It's simply not for me, Pure by DKny I didn’t care for either it smelled like something my male cousin would wear in men’s cologne, both Haiku and Pure, both are demanding attention lol..

The Kyoto flower (pink lid) I do like, but not enough to purchase again.

I was hopeful this would of been floral green smell not Aqua, Like the smell of Penhaligon’s “Lily of the Valley”.

CunningStunt

I love this one. My mom sold Avon in the late 90's and early 2000's and we had a ton of Haiku perfume, powder, and all that around. I still have a bottle of Haiku circa 2000 that is nearly completely full. The color of the juice turned, but it still smells the same and I've been wearing it and EA Sunflowers on these dreary winter days to perk me up. These two layer quite nicely by the way.. Haiku is a definite keeper. It's green, fresh, very powdery and floral, quite soapy and clean but in a way that reminds you of a garden after a cool rain shower and freshly bathed and powdered skin. It does not smell cheap or dated, although I haven't smelled the newer formulations so I can't say much about those. Longevity and sillage for the 2000 formulation is moderate to heavy depending on where you spray it and the weather. I get a good 10 hours on clothes and skin before it begins to completely fade away. Any more than two sprays of this original formulation will choke everyone in a 2 mile radius! It's truly lovely though and I don't ever see Haiku disappearing from Avon's collection. Also, I believe this works year round but it will be different depending on humidity and temperature. Reminds me a bit of Clinique Happy and EL Pleasures actually, as they are in the same vein and were released in the same time period.

lupina_haiku

Avon's Haiku comes off very strong on the sweet side for me. I love the floral notes but they tend to clash with the citrus with me, so it comes off too sweet that I cannot smell the woody notes (that usually tame the sweetness). but they smell wonderful and the bottle is both gorgeous and simplistic.

ArtzGirl

I love this fragrance. It is clean, green, and spa-like.
Peace in a bottle...
Yoga relaxation.
Easy breathing.

Soft - gentle on the skin like a mild soap that lingers slightly - just after the shower for a really nice and relaxed "clean" smell.

I wore this a few years back and I miss having a bottle of this.
It is perfect to wear to the office, movies, meetings... places where you will be sitting or standing near people where you don't want to wear too much fragrance... but still want to have something on.

This is perfect.
Just the right amount of fragrance to be lightly aware of, but not over powering.

This is alluring - it beckons you to come closer. A whisper and a "come to me" type beckoning...

Love this one.

I need to revisit this and buy a new bottle!
I also really loved their shower gel and underarm deodorant. All were very clean smelling. Loved this! I miss it!

ILS

I just found a sm spray bottle I must have bought years ago. It was in a forgotten travel bag and still smells fresh. I put on a light spritz yesterday. It took awhile to settle in with my skin but when it did it smelled even better. I'll be glad of it next spring, a time I usually wear Muguet du Bois.

FloatingOphelia

I have the lotion which I love, its spring greens, citrus and sweetness but I have no idea if I'd like the spray. I don't get any sandalwood but that's ok as I'm not a huge fan. I definitely like honeysuckle too. If its anything like Elizabeth Arden Green Tea I think I'd enjoy this.

harperhd

The top notes in the spray bottle are a tad too bitter and green for my taste, but when the heart opens after about ten minutes, it is to die for. A clean, creamy, soapy floral that I adore and what you get almost instantly if you have a roller-ball version. (That said, my roller-ball was not pure liquid, The viscosity was thick, perhaps due to age.) I think what I love about Haiku by Avon is the lily of the valley note. A great spring and summer scent, but certainly acceptable for an everyday year-round fragrance if you don't like heavy winter options. Way more depth than Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea. The fact that it's affordable while not smelling cheaply composed is a plus.

_christine_

Fresh and clean, almost green smelling. There is a strong and soapy white floral with no índole. There's also a refreshing grapefruit note that I quite like. I don't pick up vanilla or sandalwood. Overall a nice, crisp choice for summer heatwaves.

The downside is the longevity is poor. It's reduced to a skin scent is under an hour.

Swandella

Just pulled this out of the back of my closet from behind all my other pefumes to complete, the finish the bottle challenge.
I must say it is much prettier than I remember it being and so is Rare Gold as well. I have the older bottles of these perfumes, but I'm glad to be revisiting them, so many memories.

pjparewick

A pretty, feminine and summery fragrance. It's all lily-of-the-valley on me, and that suits me just fine. My only regret is that it faded to a skin scent in fairly short order, but then I did spray conservatively this first try having read fellow commenters' warnings about Haiku's sillage.

Just as an aside, I've purchased several Avon scents in the last year after a "hiatus" of at least a decade. I would highly recommend folks get reacquainted with the company's offerings - they have upped their game when it comes to perfume.

Haiku is a different and welcome addition to my warm weather collection - bring on the summer!

Janlaw

Light and green with the base of any other Avon perfume...I can't believe all Avon smell the same to me...

cedar_lea

It is very pretty and fresh. The lily of the valley doesn't go as soapy as it usually does on my skin, but it's still a little to laundry-like and feminine to be my style. I'd associate it with prim white lace or clean pressed cotton.

RaggedyAnne

Lovely perfume, but unfortunately it lasted no longer than 2 hours.

naenaynae

This in my opinion is one of those fresh perfumes that you spray on after using the shower

*EDIT/Addition to my initial (separate) detailed review:

After wearing this almost daily since purchasing it, I have actually been layering it sometimes with my (obviously, probably almost annoying now to readers, apologies lol) much loved Glow, to conserve it since I can not seem to get my hands on more...and with being an almost identical scent, it's very easy. However, whether I do or do not, I receive the same reaction always which is beginning to surprise me now tbh because I do mean always.

EVERY single time (literally) I leave my home wearing this scent, strangers go out of their way to ask what I am wearing or to simply compliment the fragrance in EVERY store I am in, without fail, customers, men, women, clerks, staff, everyone, of all ages even?!

I also feel I need to be fair in updating the longevity too which I rated as needing to reapply but I rarely could be bothered while running errands and shopping, I never remember to throw the lovely Pagoda bottle in my purse. I too often tend to spritz on my clothing and long, long after I can no longer smell myself at all (not as easy as the wrist test which I have begun wearing Vaseline as a base, on what I feel are fragrances needing some help in the longevity area and it works like a charm btw), I truly thought the scent was long gone. This evening for the 3rd time, I was proven wrong after a good 5-6 hours after application when again, a customer actually followed me to tell me how wonderful I smell and asked what the perfume was that I was wearing. (Note, I very much shy away from overdoing it and like a soft and appropriate sillage regardless of where I am going.)

So this has better sillage that initially thought and is now exactly equal to the original JLo Glow in the compliment grabbers category. I myself really have fallen in love with this perfume and it certainly doesn't hurt that my fiancé is just as intoxicated with it too. (My initial full review is only a week old, so it should be the last one below if interested.) ☺

Cloverstone

A wonderful and beautifully enticing surprise! I love, love, love the original Glow by JLo (I have a very detailed review on it if curious) and this is absolutely the closest I have accidentally stumbled upon, a blind buy from reviews here and notes I typically enjoy. I also wear SHI which I noticed some have made the comparison. Personally, I do not find the correlation at all?? SHI is much more fresh aquatic than floral citrusy; SHI being a lovely scent but not too complex imo, more rather just fresh aquatic and great for day wear.

As of yet, I have not found any of Avon's perfumes to be my style but Haiku, it is elegant and has a lot of sex appeal. I literally almost can not tell the difference between Haiku and the original Glow. It has a slightly "warmer" feel to it but is still extremely close.

I would personally describe Haiku as a warm citrus, the perfect blend of light, white florals, woody, a hint of spiciness, fresh and clean (I do not detect any vanilla whatsoever, but I am glad tbh as I have begun to steer away from vanilla scents and perhaps only, only a very minimal light musk which comes out more woody which also may give it the slightly more warm feel when comparing it to Glow). It is perfectly suited for day wear and also a great!! date night sexy, attention grabbing scent without being obnoxious. (Just like with Glow, I have been asked without fail what beautiful fragrance am I wearing by both men and women?) It is inoffensive and truly smells quite high end to my surprise too.

As much as I do really love it AND the price point which will factor in here for the need to use more; the longevity is not great, the sillage is perfect but I do find I need to reapply every couple of hours...and I do not like to be the overbearing perfume person in the room. When on clothing, it will last longer though and even in the air as I get a whiff of it when I come home when gone only a few hours.

Lastly, I do not care much about bottle appearance but I do quite like the Asian Pagoda Temple look and soft green hues of this unique bottle. If you like the notes listed or if you are a Glow fan, I would highly recommend giving Haiku a try!! ☺

Haiku of Haiku -

Lily, citrus, wood
Nature green near river stream
Tranquil dreams of white

Linen, tea, I'm pure
Of life's cruel dance hard toiling
Inhale clean, new hope

Come new sun, let's play
And dance afresh this long day
Let me retire calm

Avon Haiku has become the only fragrance I can tolerate during the heat. My nose has become oversensitive when heat amplifies fragrance and I feel smothered. Haiku is the only summer scent I have worn that draws repeated compliments. It is also the only 'safe' scent that does not bore me. Yes, it is polite, clean, safe... and simply beautiful. It is on the similar vein of Shi's Sung and Lauder's Pleasures though in comparison, I find Shi has less depth, less everything, and the green of Pleasures becomes sharp and bitter on me.

Haiku is rather linear but it does change on my skin. Inside cool air, I detect the crisp green, citrus and light woods more. Outside in sweltering heat the refreshing lily shines through most, exactly as it should. Avon Haiku is a timeless beauty that exhilarates me in morning and calms me in the evening; a classic I shall hopefully never be without. Pure and natural loveliness! Reminds me of a summer bride and white gauze or linen at a beach sunrise or set. Pure love! :)

crea11

Beautiful fresh scent, I get a sweetened green tea juiciness with lilies and light non-sour citrus. Bottle is lovely to boot.

artisy

It's very clean, non offensive, and polite. It's airy and the musk and sandalwood are faint.

To me, it smells like a wooden tray holding a vase of white flowers, a plate of sliced oranges, and a bold cup of jasmine tea that is placed near a bright window.

It's a scent of reflection, solitude, or peacefulness.

Mrs.Allard

I'm not as impressed with this one and I think it's because I already have Shi by Alfred Sung (another cheap find) and it smells way better when I'm in the mood for a fragrance like this. IMO. It has a sharpness to it that I don't seem to care for, like maybe the citrus note is too bitter or becomes bitter when mixed with the lillies. I still like it but its not anything special for me. Probably going to be a gift for my mom.

CLeeK

Oh how I wanted this to work for me. No such luck. It smells like my 7th grade English teacher. Which could be a good thing, but it's not. On my skin, it screeches at top volume, instantly inducing a headache of massive proportions. Clearly my skin doesn't play well with lily of the valley- it turns astringent and soapy on me..the word 'strident' comes to mind. Bummer. Full bottle for trade.

Perfumeaddict777

Im not able to do a review yet but should be getting it in the mail in the next few days. Im blind buying because of reviews and i liked kyoto flower. I just wanted to point out that on avons website the note description mentions that haiku has green tuberose in it but it is not listed here. If anyone smells green tuberose in this can you please let me know, tuberose is my favorite flower and ive been obsessed with anything tuberose lately!! Btw, a good wedding day avon perfume in my opinion would be haiku kyoto flower. It's a mix of smelling like chloe love story and pleasures.
Edit: finally got my order in the mail and i was pleasantly suprised. It's a very green scent, full of lillies and lilly of the valley. You can smell the green stems of the flowers, it's like walking into a grassy field full of lillies and lilly of the valley. I dont wear green scent often because they tend to disappear on my skin fairly quickly. Haiku was strong and remained strong for 2 full hours before it started to become a lighter woody floral. It goes from feeling like your in a grassy feild, to walking through the woods. I think this is the best green floral I've tried so far. Longevity is 3 -6 hours, sillage is an arms length and after an hour people can smell haiku when they give you a hug, or stand close to you. Beautifully blended, a wonderful green scent. The pomegranate is there to keep things from becoming to sharp, it doesn't stand out but you know it's there, sandlewood and vanilla come out in the end and gives a warmer creamy feel to the perfume. It makes me feel clean, fresh, happy and energized. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a green floral. Oh btw, green tuberose is evident in this perfume, it just blends extremely well with the lily. It reminds me a bit of gucci bamboo and izzy Miyake .

Cauda Pavonis

I wasn't expecting too much from this but I'm really pleasantly surprised. I liked Haiku Kyoto Flower so thought I'd pick this up since it looked interesting. It opens fairly clean and dry but in the middle of the dry down I caught a whiff of a sweet but delicate fruity floral note. Really lovely stuff, and very wearable. Perfect for spring, too.

gillbert

My favorite ever from Avon line. Never regret to have it. It's remind me of Gucci Bamboo but Haiku is super amazing longevity and sillage. Gucci Bamboo is very pleasant light citrus flowery vibe. Haiku is heavy citrusy, lot of bamboo vibe and full of flowery. 10 times better than Gucci Bamboo, sorry Gucci Bambooooooooooooooooooooo

diane.lee

Bought this on sale from my Avon representative. It is very different, but very pleasant. I enjoy it as an every day fragrance.

Southern Blonde

This is my 2nd Avon fragrance. I've been such a perfume snob and have dismissed Avon fragrances as cheap, dull, not for me, I can do better type of scents. I was so wrong! Now my nose can appreciate the most expensive Chanel or Dior fragrance as much as it can a beautiful Avon. Avon really does have some good stuff it's only a matter of searching for their jewels. This is a lovely Oriental fragrance. Soft, dreamy, aquatic, fruity, white floral, vanilla sweetness all in one cute little bottle shaped like a Japanese pagoda. Sure it's not a screaming Oriental masterpiece like Shalimar but it has a charm and beauty all its own. Haiku has no top middle or base notes and the notes make their appearance as the perfume performs on your skin. On me it didn't last longer than 4 hours which was a bummer but it's an enchanting scent while it's still on me. There's aldehydes, aquatic notes, and there's a fresh but not heavy citrus as it begins, along with a fruity scent of pomegranate. Sweet. Very sweet. Lily, jasmine and lily of the valley, all of them white flowers, make up the floral section of the fragrance. If you like white flowers (and I do) this is a delightful floral fragrance that should satisfy your nose. I don't smell any musk until at the very end when the fragrance is disappearing. It's mostly a vanilla scent at the end. There's also sandalwood but it's light. This whole thing is light like a little newborn baby. It feels innocent and child like. A girl under the age of 10 could rock this as much as a woman over the age of 20. This is like one of those Harajuku Lovers fragrances by Gwen Stefani. Sweet, uncomplicated, floral and fruity with a Japanese vibe. I can smell this on Japanese schoolgirls but now I can smell like an anime character too! This is pretty nice. It doesn't last long but you can always reapply. It's a nice fresh floral scent to put on after a shower and meant to be used casually in the day time. It turns a bit powdery too. I wish someone could write a Haiku to go with this cute cute perfume. I love it. I'm going to continue to buy Avon perfumes! If anyone knows a good Avon to wear for my wedding day let me know. I thought this one would do but I feel it's too child like. Love it love it love it.

Konga5000

I wish they made a Men's verson of this -- make it kinda like Hai Karate !

Tiviia21

First 15 mins is a blast of citrus and white floral scent. After is dries down to a soft floral scent. It is perfect for spring and summer time.

Miss.Tara

I enjoy Haiku, and I don't even like green scents. This is soft and feminine after the initial green blast that lasts for 15 minutes. The deodorant is great too. Interesting enough to be a memorable signature scent.

Museumgal

Clean, fresh floral scent with plenty of dominant llies. Very soft sillage but lasts well. It is a good choice for work or formal daytime settings. It's well composed, and perhaps it was more unique when it first came out. However I feel as though I have smelled this scent many times, and it reminds me a lot of clean laudry. Perhaps this combination of notes has just worked its way into general use beyond perfume in the years since this was released. It smells very classic but I have smelled similar notes in many places.

egyptian_beauty99

I smell Lillies! water lillies,Lilly of the valley for sure. Why is Jasmine listed?I don't smell Jasmine, I sMell citrus notes and powder notes. Pomegranate? absolutely do not smell that. Its A light, clean, fresh scent nothing special.I would use it to spray on my pillows, maybe after a shower before bed. But I wouldn't wear it out. It lacks something can't pick it up. But the Jasmine really would have beautified this.Unfortunately this perfuem doesn't do it for me.. The Haiku Kyoto flower is a much prettier scent. Will be giving to my mother.

adair58

Haiku is a fresh, green take on lily of the valley and citrus. Smells like an open meadow. Light but long lasting, a classic Avon. I'm pleased to have it again, I missed it more than I realized.

daisyvision

Haiku is quite a nostalgic scent for me. It's not the type of perfume I'd typically go for now, but I still appreciate its fresh & citrusy goodness. Haiku is an uplifting scent, you can't help but smile when you smell it. Great for spring and summer wear, with very realistic & green-smelling white florals, perfectly complemented with juicy citruses. Besides the good price, Haiku seems to be an Avon staple, and I doubt it'll be discontinued anytime soon - unlike so many gems Avon has let go of!

celebrity89

I love this VERY crisp and tangy scent. I love that it has no dank or cold aquatic note while remaining cool and refreshing.

GhostFleur

Haiku was the very first fragrance that really spoke to me...it was a LOVE AFFAIR. Ever since it was discontinued in my country, I have always been in a quest to find something alike or even just something similar. Some got really close but there's still something missing, making this beauty ONE OF A KIND. Reminds me a bit of Shi by Alfred Sung but it is more aquatic to my nose than green. Haiku has a very fresh, minimalistic appeal like the poem itself captured in a bottle.

ginaivet

Understated, perfect minimalism. Uplifting, bright, energizing, pretty.

Piscean-Blue

It's amazing how sometimes your least expensive scents end up being among your favorites...

Haiku is simple, innocent and comforting. It's a stroll through the grassy meadows and freshly mowed lawns of one's youth. She is the epitome of "pared down". Nothing pretentious; no bells and whistles; nothing hidden. Nothing attention-whorish. What you see (or smell) is what you get.

There's something sweetly idyllic about Haiku. It transcends anything clubby or trendy and has not an ounce of come-hither or va-va-va-voom in her. Instead she's wide-eyed and mildly curious about the grown up world around her.

So Haiku is low-key awesome. Good uncomplicated easy everyday scent. Perfect for work. Leave it alone for date night (unless you've either already snagged 'em or have no intention of giving up cooch). Really, really nice for summer and when you're in a natural stroll-through-the-valley, fresh-air kind of mood. It's inexpensive and safe enough to blind-buy.

I do plan on repurchasing once I'm through with my bottle- as a matter of fact this will be a permanent part of my scent collection. The price is right.

Fhaldara

I love this! LOV is a big favorite of mine, and its very much in evidence without being dominant - I have more than enough LOV soliflores. It is very fresh and green, and has excellent longevity. It was a blind buy on ebay and was under five dollars - money well spent! I will definitely repurchase.

Lucky7z

One of my fave scents from Avon!!! I don't smell the citrus like others have said but to me this scent is a very nice clean floral scent thats not harsh at all. This scent lasts from morning til night on me...when I smell this scent I think of lilies and lily of the valley(kind of lol) Its a keeper!!

Ksl001

Diffuse florals and citrus in a very gentle blend. Graceful, non attention grabbing yet not as simple as it seems. Fits the name very well. Not love at first sniff but it's definitely grown on me. Just bought another bottle.

moonbugs

Haiku is a light and pretty fragrance. I never have to worry that I'm following it into a room, or leaving the room a half hour ahead of it. My go-to fragrance, and when I say that, understand that I love my "smellies" and have a very wide variety to choose from!

ShalimarMoon

Haiku is a delicate floral with lily, light citrus, and a hint of earth. I love how garden-like it is. A serene day scent, it's mostly safe for the office (at one spray), and is the perfect touch after a workout and shower at the gym. The clarity of notes is startling for such a reasonably priced perfume. Love this classic!

SophieBelle

This just arrived today. It was a blind purchase for me. I only rubbed my nose in the brochure. The price was nice. 5 pcs for $23usd. I like the layering aspect of Avon even though their products usually never last more than 1hr for me. I was very pleasantly surprised with Haiku. As I was using the shower gel tonight and thinking about what it smelled like I was reminded of the Japanese culture. Perfumes there that are overwhelming are considered highly offensive. Haiku has a very delicate lily top note with a light citrus middle. I can't really pick up a base note. It's light and airy, shyly seductive, softly femine and very low key. I'm amazed that it actually lasts on me. A nice summer fragrance, great for daytime and easy to wear. Well done Avon! This one is going on my favs list.

BettyNoir

I really like the sound of this and have had it recommended to me. However we can't get it in UK Avon brochures. Big shame!

Lace.S

This scent is very crisp and refreshing. The greens and white florals come across nicely, there's a bit of a soapy clean citrus scent. It's great right out of the shower or for a morning wake-up spritz. It's not a night-out perfume or something you'd want to wear to a formal event, but it's definately great for day-wear.

bonnie52

I see people saying this smells like EA green Tea. Haiku is way better! The sillage and longevity are far superior. Lily of the valley is the prominent note on me. Very fresh and uplifting; a smile in a bottle!

cyanne

Haiku and Green Tea are indeed very similar and I have worn them together for an extra boost of staying power. Both are light enough to layer even in sweltering weather. Haiku is a clean, delicate, timeless scent for the young and forever young at heart.

rye

I have reviewed this before somewhere - it's one of the few Avon scents that's been around for a long time. It's a cold, wet, green floral scent. If you live in the Pacific Northwest or Great Britain it just might make you shiver! However, in a dry, hot climate it will cool you off and refresh.

francisrose

Oh my goodness! This fragrance is beautiful. A lovely white floral with a little citrus thrown in for depth. To me, the queen of Lily of the Valley fragrances was Muguet des Bois by Coty with it's linear straightforward Lily, but I must say this is a very close second. One thing I absolutely love about Avon fragrances is that they always have the companion deodorant, powder, and body cream with their signature favorites. This is still the best way to make fragrance last all day. For summer I cannot imagine a better choice than this delicious floral. I think if you try it, you will be pleasantly surprised!

heather62

I love Haiku. This smells so much like Versace Versense. I have both and did not really make that connection till now. Haiku is a great deal less expensive but is a real quality fragrance from Avon. I try to never be without this.

There was a lady in my office that smelled unbelievably good. She was wearing Haiku. So I had to try it myself. I usually order more than 1 at a time (a lot of 2) on Ebay and get a great price.

This also reminds me a little of White Citrus from BBW but it is a more feminine, complex smell and lasts longer. More floral. But very clean. Really lovely.

Wearing tonight after my shower and I believe it is almost the perfect white floral and green floral. Not too sweet, nor sharp; it is first white then green. Wonderfully both. It is fresh, clean and beautiful as can be. I am feeling springy and it is a perfect crisp, clean spring/summer scent. Spring is blooming and this is fresh, lovely perfection. Haiku is a great mood scent for warm months and smells much better to me than many high end fumes I have sampled lately in my hunt for the perfect white floral for the hot months. It is a very "cool" scent. Haiku is not *the* perfect one but I love it. So far, I've found no white/green florals to top it after smelling many. That is a bold statement for me. Something always too sharp, pointed, acrid, wilty, sweet, etc with the white florals and me, but I don't get that with Avon's Haiku. It is masterfully balanced.

When Avon falls they crash hard, but when Avon rocks, they ROCK hard. They've cranked a few out that are head-bangin' metal style yummy, sexy good. (I would not consider Haiku particularly sexy; more of a just-showered exhilarating scent.) I can dig on some Avon, Sisters. No shame to my game about the name. They have been around a long time for a good reason.

Avon's Haiku is a fragrance that is for the light hearted and happy go lucky types. This scent isn't complex or brooding, abnoxious or cloying. It's fresh as daisies, unapologetic pep, and lovely asian citrus. I can definitely see where people say this could be a unisex fragrance. The pomegranate gives it more of an herbal than sweet note so I think that's part of where it is coming from. All in all, it's a good quality fresh scent without a huge price tag.

SunnyGo93

This is such a wonderful fragrance. You can really smell the Japanese citrus in the beginning. And a beautiful burst of floral notes at the dry down. A great perfume for a great price...EVEN if it's not an original THE BOMB smell ever......I don't know if that makes sense. Hahaa!!

samsara82

Dear Readers,

Wow I haven't seen this perfume in awhile since I purchased it way back when, but this is my review.

I enjoyed it, yes its from Avon and some people will gasp but believe or not this fragrance was very refreshing and serene, perhaps that's why I liked it so much because the other ones were very synthetic and hard , this Haiku was very woodsy watery green that made my senses smile , it reminded me of still waters with koi fishes and bambu flute playing softly like a mist caressing dark mountains somewhere.

I enjoyed it , bravo for the house of Avon for making a serene sensual fragrance , I enjoyed this when I did not wanted a strong perfume on me during sweaty summers or when I wasn't in a extroverted mood during work and leisure.

If this is still around in the Avon catalogue I recommend it , its very light and none offensive fragrance that is very office friendly and fresh.

Lovesmells

I like to use perfumed talcum powder, especially in the summer so I bought it and it smells beautiful
I then took that plunge common to us and bought the EDP
lily of the valley and green grass at first spray but no the dry down
For me the dry down is jasmine and I smell it around me as I move
It doesn't smell like EA Green Tea, this is much more sweet.
It's soapy smelling but strong. One spray and good to go. It would be overpowering on a hot day
I will definitely use(and re order) the powder; but the spray, not
Price is inexpensive and the roll on is an easy way to bite but not swallow. However, the spray is cheaper than the roll on-go figure.
Bottle is typical Avon and I go way back..............

WolfHaleigh

Good floral. Not too strong, good for the spring season in my opinion. It lasts, too. I still smell it in the middle of the day.

Kiku

One of the best floral greens around today. Light and fresh. A tiny bit of soapiness makes it oh so clean without having that "the laundromat exploded" too much soap quality. And not a bit sweeter than it needs to be. Perfect for a sweltering day or to send you off to dreamland. Maybe not a "must have" but a "wouldn't hurt to have it".

Moonwalk Memorie

On me, this turns into the greener version of L'Imperatrice... which I could not stand. Haiku is pleasant fresh florals as I expected, but then there's a sweaty-pulpy note that makes me nauseous.

Lornaluv

I bought this late last year in a layering set for my daughter and myself. We both love this, but since the perfume spray itself turns into plastic trash bag on me and not her, she got to keep the whole set.

About a month ago I bought up a bunch of avon's scented deos on sale and this was one of them because I remembered how much I liked the rest of the layering set.

I liked the freshness of the deo so very much I went ahead and bought the skin softener and body powder.

I am so glad that I did. This is mostly a green Muguet throughout with a lovely soft floral and green grassy undertone. It does develope and shift throughout the day, sometimes grassy, sometimes woody, sometimes white floal, and back again, but the lily of the valley stays consistant.

The skin softener stays hours on my skin and I love to layer it with fresh floral scents, and keep my skin cool and fresh all day in the summer heat with the body powder.

For me lily of the valley evokes strong memories. Most of my mother's favorite scents had a strong presence of muguet.

While wind song was her number one signature scent she actually wore Coty's Muguet du Bois quite a lot, mostly because that is what I would buy for her more than anything else. I loved how it smelled in general and on her most of all.

Lily of the valley once planted in rich moist soil under trees tends to take off like a weed, at least it did in our yard - someone long before we ever lived in our quiet little house had planted them under some plum trees along an old fence, they ran all the way to the back of yard along with some little blue bells that were not as hardy as the lilies.

They smelled so wonderfull, so strong and I loved them so much they were perfect little white bells of heavely scent. This is one of my first memories.

That is what Haiku makes me think of, my childhood yard in the spring filled with flowers planted long ago.

eirenelisa

Serene and feminine. Haiku smells just like its pretty bottle suggests. This is a lily of the valley with a few secrets underneath. There is a yummy, nutty-gluey note that reminds me a bit of Ralph Lauren Chaps Woman. There is the natural smell of the grass after the rain that reminds me of living in the Pacific Northwest.

There is, however, a slightly confusing indoor/outdoor aspect of Haiku's progression that bothers me a little. One minute I feel like I'm completely outside in the natural world, and the next minute I feel like I'm indoors smelling soothing lotion at a spa, and then two minutes later I'm back outdoors again smelling the grass. I would rather either remain outdoors or stay at the spa the whole time.

There is too much unfettered muguet in Haiku for it to really be my thing, but I do love its notes of fresh, wet, wild grass and its tiny joyful punch of citrus.

M.Golightly

I really wanted to be adventurous with picking fragrances and this is my first Avon perfume which was in fact given to me by mama as she told me it reminds her of me since I love citrus base fragrances.

WAS I SURPIRSE? INDEED.

I must admit I really did not expect Avon perfumes to be this good. No offense but I did had my doubts but after wearing this perfume it gave me a different perspective of Avon fragrances. It doesn't mean it is cheap means that the fragrance is cheap smelling as well. It really boils down to the right combination.

Clean and crisp is something that I need to have in my fragrance. I also prefer something delicate in it with a good base. This perfume sums it up.

This perfume is a keeper for me. If you are someone who wants fresh, clean, long lasting smell...(plus inexpensive) then you should get this one. Yes it is generic nothing new but these are the fragrances that lasts the longest. All the other signature ones die out but the classics are always here to stay.

Eridanshay1

Haiku Sunset is available on Avon.com right now, FYI for a great price...purse spray & lotion too.

Smells like Elizabeth Arden Green Tea

Very nice, clean scent. Excellent for summer and daytime. I wore it for the longest time, but somehow lost my bottle.

HeidiLynn

I always forget how much I enjoy Haiku, until I put it on. Unlike many Avon fragrances, Haiku does not start out with the characteristic sharpness. It rolls right into a gorgeous, clean white floral. It is a tiny bit “soapy”, but really just smells fresh. I believe the initial floral is the combination of lily and lily of the valley; but this goes beyond a typical soliflore muguet—it is fuller, well rounded, softer and not so intensely “green” (as I find more typical of lily of the valley). I attribute that to the musk, which always seems to round things out nicely.

After about 2 hours, there is a touch of dirty-bitterness or dying flowers… it takes away from the clean simplicity of the initial notes. It must be the indolic quality of the jasmine flowers; I think it’s a tad overdone, and wish this fragrance stayed as pure as it started out.

That said, it’s never heads into sweaty-messy-decaying-biomass indolic realms. It stays predominantly clean. Citrus and pomegranate are listed as notes; I don’t smell them at all, but think they are playing counterpoint to the indoles to keep them in check. I love musk and sandalwood in any fragrance, and believe that those elements are keeping this white floral from taking itself too seriously, keeping it grounded.

Sillage is good, but I don’t feel like I’m choking people (I hope not anyway!). Longevity is >6 hours, fading after the first 4. For the price, I strongly recommend this one; Avon usually has sales, and you can get a small (30 ml, I think) bottle for $7. The large frosted glass bottle is beautiful with its pale greenish pagoda shaped lid; and there is an entire line of products (powder, deodorant, lotion) for layering if you like—but unlike many fragrances with a supportive line of products, this one does not require layering to achieve good longevity and projection.

modelleigh

this is my favorite perfume...I say cheap because of the price. not the quality. I perfer some of the more expensive brands.... miss dior, coco madamosielle, jdore dior. 212 etc....

but for the price this really is a GREAT perfume. i started wearing it when i was a teenager and my mom sold avon. I still appreciate this perfume today.

I dont use it as my signature sent (right now i use jdore and miss dior as my two sigs)

but I have probably gotten more compliments wearing Hiaku than my signatures....i think because alot of people these days smell like the CD perfumes...

I think hiaku is also a safe perfume as it doesnt seem to offend anyone ever because of its softer quality. some people think this is very similar to Elizabeth ardens grea tea...i disagree. i think Hiaku is a much better, richer scent...i think they are only being compared due to the fact that they are both green scents...but one note doesnt particularly make them similar.

if i were to rate my fav perfumes due to quality id say this:

jdore dior - 10
miss dior - 10
coco mad.- 10
ralph lauren ralph - 9 (id give it a 10 if you are under 24)
Avon Mark old hollywood pink - 9 -- discontinued unfortuantely
Avon Haiku 8.5
Carolina Herrera 212- 8
Valentia by Valentino- 8

so considering haiku is about 20$ for 50 ml instead of about 100$ like miss dior....i would say its a great perfume at a great deal!

b.a.denney

I just found this at a local thrift shop. I didn't think I was a big fan of this but as I'm wearing it I find it to be okay. It is a very green and fresh smell. I will probably wear it some this summer. I am still in love with Haiku Sunset which is discontinued now. I don't find these two to be very similar. As my husband's favorite is Haiku Sunset I'll see what he thinks of this. This is not my normal type of scent at all but I can see why lots of people like it. It's inoffensive and light. So many don't like Avon scents but there have been several I've really liked over the years. Some I wish they'd bring back....

ArtzGirl

Sweet, light, oriental. I am using the body wash shower gel now - after a recent move. I have not yet found the box of fragrance, but the shower gel smells so good that I am wanting to finish unpacking very soon! It is very enticing! I like the clean smell - it is very fresh and refreshing!

Love the shower gel!

Garden.Wren

While I've never personally tried Haiku, I have it's brighter, younger sister Haiku Sunset in my perfume case. I do so wish Fragrantica would add it to its data base. It's such a lovely scent. Very aquatic and floral. Too bad it's been discontinued. Longevity is below average, on my fickle skin it's gone within an hour and a half/two hours, but I mostly expected that from Avon, sillage is good for the first hour then fades into a "sniff your wrist and you might catch a whiff" scent. Even though the quality is lacking, for no more than it cost, I still enjoy it and so does my daughter.

zeldaautumn

This is my very favourite Avon scent. It is very green, very fresh and always makes me feel good when I wear it. I can smell Lily of the Valley and green tea, I don't make out any Musk thankfully or vanilla, though I am sure those add to the staying power and hold down all that freshness from just drifting away. A lovely day scent, or when you are dying for spring to come along.

b.a.denney

I am not a big fan of regular Haiku but I really like Haiku Sunset. I wish Frangrantica would add it to the list of fragrances. Haiku Sunset is my husband's very favorite perfume on me. That fact alone amazes me because he likes rather expensive perfumes and things in general. He can always tell when I have this on though and he usually comments sadly if I don't...lol. He will even request that I wear it. It isn't even the perfume I was wearing when we first started dating and usually that has such strong association for most people so that is saying a lot. I find Haiku Sunset to be a very different type of scent than my norm but I do really enjoy it. I'll be glad to see what the listed notes are if they ever add it on here.....

Dharmapadagurl9

this is a very nice scent for those with the right skin chemistry. My good friend wears it, and it smells lovely on her. You can smell a hint of lily of the valley, and something akin to green tea. A slight whisper of citrus. On her, its simply a fresh, clean sparkling heaven.. I tried it, and alas, like the Green Tea by Elizabeth Arden, it simply smelled like a rotten compost heap.. I did want to like this.

If possible, try to ask your nice Avon lady for a sample.. If green type smells normally dont work for you, this one may possibly be a miss.
But, for you lucky ladies that can wear your green florals, this one is a great catch for the price.

punkinfaye

I have a teeny tiny roll on of this that I bring when I travel (can go in carry on).

It smells fresh and clean, don't see how it could bother anyone with sensitivities as it is very light.

Not my everyday fragrance, but good for emergencies or freshening up.

ann_gurl

what i miss this perfume .. my favorite all time .. very freshly with a little bit citrus on it

Emilym1992

Oh my Godzilla I forgot about this fragrance! I wore this when I was about 10 when my mother received as a gift from someone who obviously doesn't know her well (she cannot stand perfume). It was too mature for a 10 year old, and I just wore it for fun but I loved the smell, was very fresh. Now I really want to purchase this again so I can enjoy it as an adult and really appreciate it!

busik

Looking at the pyramid can distinguish every note. Lily of the valley is not so natural, but all together very harmoniously intertwined in fresh, cool flavor for the summer. Very modern, unusual and very good resistance. A brother of his Haiku sunset (not online) is totally different. This mixture CK One, Be and Eternity combined. Very cold scent transparent stream in the mountains or a forest stream key in a shady ravine. Breathe in and feel the same in my throat, like a sip of air to a killing frost.

lisaivette

Another Avon favorite. I get soft subtle Lily of the Valley, with a hint of citrus. I only bought the purse spray, should have bought the full size.

ggkeller

I really liked this one, nice and fresth. Don't smell
Freesia in it at all, which is a good thing cus I hate anything thats smells of freesia.

senilis

My older sister used to love ordering this when I was a kid. I remember the scent, very floral indeed with a hint of citrus (my sister's favorite note).

Ah the memories.

mshell

Haiku Sunset is not on Fragrantica yet but i love it even more than Haiku and also mark Hamptons Instant Vacation smells great!Reminds me of l'eau par kenzo. Please add these to Fragrantica!

reavyan

I received a free sample of Haiku with another Avon purchase. Not having worn a "green" perfume in about eight years I decided to give it a whirl.

At initial application it is very astringent, but it settles down quickly.

Currently it is lightly powdery, in that dry sense, no babies here. Lily of the valley is the strongest note, although it feels synthetic, lacking the dewy freshness of the real deal. Jasmine and a hint of citrus are present too.

There is absolutely -no- vanilla, and I'm not getting any sandalwood in here either.

And then, if I had any doubts, this nasty little medicinal, almost plastic note creeps in and just absolutely kills it.

Final verdict: Flowery, powdery/soapy, but too artificial. A definite no for me.

On a personal level, I now remember why I stopped wearing green scents. They all just smell sour on me, and this is no exception.

Remember Haiku
Greens go really bad on you
So stay far away

ecofreak2001

So fresh, green and crisp. It's like a walk through a dewy garden. It has a great lasting power. Perfect for every day ware; a very clean scent. It kind of remind me Elizabeth Arden Green Tea, except this one is more flowery and musky. Like it!

Gothmom1303

Absolutely great for hot summer days, I had people sniff me and tell me I smelled like fresh out the shower after running around in the heat for hours. Not so much for the cooler months though, but I love it in summer,

HeidiLynn

This is my current "signature" fragrance; it's simple and clean, good for the hot, hot days of summer here in Texas when a heavier fragrance just won't do. It kind of reminds me of Dove soap (original, white bars), and Avon has the lotion and shower gel to go with it. Smells sweet, but not too flowery/fruity/sugary. I think the lily is predominant for me. Usually, I'm a chypre, amber or woodsy fragrance, but this works well.

naomin

this is my "grown up" scent, hehe!

shoshana25

At first I liked it. And I must admit that I like the idea of the fragrance. Fresh and Green, but after a while it went sour on me and started to smell cheap and "avon-like"....makes me wanna gag. Sorry.

Trinidella

This fragrance is up there with Elizabeth Arden et al. A must have.

perhapspersephone

Waiting for mine to come in now. I sampled it and just love it. It is just so fresh and GREEN. It invokes thoughts of cool, fresh country air. In the south east U.S. it cets so opressively hot. A scent like this is something special.

hannie5

I owned this little gem a while ago but sadly while I originally loved the powdery floral scent after a while it smells somewhat sour on me. But I am so glad it's mixing so well with others!

danimcneil

adding: This origianl haiku is STRONG stuff! I made a huge mistake by spraying on my clothes. I have learned that I have to spray on ONE spray on my skin, UNDER my clothes to not overwhelm myself and others. It is so so so beautiful..but holy crap! I cant believe something so cheap has this lasting quality!

danimcneil

I finally got my haiku today. I have been wondering how it would smell for years now! I love fresh out-of-the-shower scents. This is definitely fresh..VERY floral fresh. This to me is straight up lily. If you dont like lily..do not buy! Haiku is actually more of a "perfumey" and mature scent than I thought it would be..which is ok too! Also sillage and and longevity are amazing..one spray and it last 6+ hrs. And scents to not last on me! Not my favorite scent, but definitely pretty and can be used as an elegant scent. I would like to always have a bottle, especially since it was only $3 on amazon!

Haiku sunset: I also purchased this flanker since it was also only $3. I actually like Haiku sunset better..scent wise. It is a perfect dupe for Issey Miyake (sp?) floral (the pink one). Its very floral aquatic..literally it smells fluid..AMAZING! but so so so sadly it lasts for 5 min on me! I wish It lasted as well as the original and I would have a perfect and low priced scent! Oh well... love it still!

HazelNicoletti

This reminds me of LOUD Lilies and Lily of the Valley which is pretty decent since they are one of my favorite flowers and scents along with white honey :)

mandy mark

ALL WHAT I CAN SAY IS... I FALL IN LOVE WITH IT! SO SOFT, AND DRAMATIC...BEST FROM AVON FOR ME!

ecofreak2001

I like this one a lot....a clean, fresh scent that is perfect for casual ware. It reminds me of white flowers after the rain while I walk through a forest.

MaggieKat

To be honest I am a bit disappointed. It was a blind buy and I thought I would love it from its description here and in the Avon catalog. It is nice, but the powderiness just irritates me.

biancaloren

lily of the valley - I love the shower gel and the lotions but the perfume is too much unless I spray low on my body so I am not walking and smelling it - amazing staying power. Very green or spring scent but mostly - lily of the valley.

TrailerTrashPrincess

this smelled so familiar even when it first came out, a watery green floral - i'm sure it was a near duplicate of something i'd smelled in the past. there's a high-pitched ozoney white floral sort of note that just gives me an instant headache, though.

chromaggia

At the time this became aware to me, I was a young girl, just starting to experiment with perfumes that didn't have cartoon characters on the box or smell like sugary candy. Most Avon perfumes out at that time smelled heavily of musk, were too spicy, or just weren't age appropriate for an eleven year old. Then I smelled this. Such a fresh, light oriental floral. It's perfect for anybody; I can just imagine a high class lady from ancient times in Asia walking down a hall as this scent trails behind her. The sister scent, Haiku Awakenings, was quickly added to my slowly growing collection. They're both such clean fragrances it's hard not to like them.

Pari88

Very green scent that changes very often. It starts off a little fruity/citrusy, slightly flowery, and then begins to drydown into this magical green/woody scent. It smells a bit like ocean air that has passed through the woods and gently touched a few flowers on the way. It does resemble EA green tea but it has more depth to it and it is slightly more sharp. A very green scent that changes often! I would imagine myself wearing this while riding a bike, or on a boat, I feel as if the notes would enhance then :-) pleasant

peacecat30

To me this is a very heavy floral. I pretty much only smell lily and jasmine, none of the citrus notes come through for me. A little goes a long long way and it lasts forever. The bottle design is not a favorite of mine. It's a fine perfume, especially for the price, but I don't think I'll repurchase.

ccj36

I work with several people who are prone to migraines, so I'm careful about the scents I choose for work. When applied with a light hand, Haiku is a great choice for work since it is a light, somewhat citrusy fragrance. The citrus notes blend well with the floral notes, so it is sweet rather than pungent. The dry down is much nicer and calmer than the initial spray.

melbritt24

If you LOVE this...try the NEW Haiku sunset...fresh and lovely for spring/summer!

Miss Dior Cherie

Hay una oferta en mi pais de esta estoy entre esta o today gold o Ahorrar para viva the juice o miss dior cherie ;)

Nanc

My mother and I adore Haiku; it suits her better as most Avon perfumes do. Very oriental/floral love it on her.

melbritt24

One of the few Avon fragrances that I can wear. Very soft and feminine. I am interested in trying the NEW Haiku Sunset. The scented page in the latest Avon book smells of fresh mandarin coupled with the classic Haiku.

icekat

If HAIKU was a garden, it would be filled with the fragrant pure white lilies and lilies of the valley magically blooming at the same time. The fresh wind from afar would carry tender white jasmine blossoms bringing harmony to this fresh, brisk and attractive floral bouquet. I can see this scent in the colors of pure white and cool luscious green, minimalistic and tranquil. The innocence and clarity of the composition, the crisp but smooth texture make this white floral bouquet quite beautiful. I have been wearing this scent for years and especially love it in the spring.

The opening is a lovely pomegranate mixed with strong citrus but it only lasts a few seconds. As soon as the scent interacts with my skin, it transforms into a floral, fresh and green composition with an intense lily of the valley and lily. It reminds me of a fresh burst of spring air. The jasmine note provides nice smooth layer to soften rather sharp lily and lily of the valley. The resulting composition is quite nice white floral bouquet, which turns out to be smooth, cool and pure. The base notes are definitely woody. I never got much vanilla on my skin, especially if compared to many vanilla gourmand fragrances I own.

The lily and lily of the valley are strong in this composition. If you are not fond of these flowers, then I would not suggest this scent. But if you love fresh crisp floral scents with the above notes, then I would definitely recommend this. The longevity and sillage are quite good.

Miss Dior Cherie

siempre quise tenerla pero siempre habia otra que si imterponia en nuestro camino ahora ya no podremos estar juntas por que donde vivo ya no lo saca avon en su folleto

viewdemonde

One of the nicer Avon scents.

Lovable Amy

Its a clean scent! I do wear this when i was in a high school.

Laura Dora

A very nice light day scent if your just running errands and you don't want to be bowling people over.

rachia1977

I like this fragrance very much, especially the jasmin in it, it's a long durable fragrance. It can linger for hours on your skin, very nice fragrance, and it is not too pricey either.
I wear it to work and have got a lot of compliments.

ogofragrant

Similar to Anais Anais, this one's brighter, lighter, greener. Anais Anais is more floral. Love the freshness of both of these, like a breath of fresh air in flower-budding Spring.

darkbeauty

A light, airy and sweet, crisp green! Drys a little on the powdery side which I like. Good for spring or warmer months. ;o)

shinewin

This reminds me of Light Blue by D&G. It just that Haiku have a more stronger citrus and a higher lily notes. To me anything with a cirtusing scent gives off a hair product such as hair-spray.

pansylady

I really expected to like this scent because I love florals in general, but this one just seems a bit "off" or lacking- I think it could use a larger squeeze of citrus and a dash of pepper!

vioversilver

This is a simple, clean , creamy fresh floral scent, the vanilla & sandalwood seem to keep the green in this from getting to sharp & overbearing.
Has a hint of soapiness which is not unpleasant to me, it's able to get warmed up by my skin to get that perfect 'skin' scent that I sometimes I'm in the mood for.. very wearable , especially for those who may not like heavier, animalistic scents- this is the complete opposite of those.
Unless you drench yourself in this ,Haiku is completely unoffensive - perfect when you just want to smell pretty .

I will add that I have gotten quite a few compliments when wearing this perfume, pretty amazing for something that doesn't make promises of spectacular sexiness, mystique or sophistication when worn.

P.S. I agree with Falovalo's review - this is very similiar to Victoria's Secret Body by Victoria.

AnnMarie

This is Avon's No. 1 seller!!! It never changes!! The top notes are clear and the scent just last long enough to make you smile on a whiff!!

eranaral

fresh cold smell. a bit too strong 4 me, it hurts my nose.

Aalia

I really enjoy the prominent lily of the valley, and distinct sandalwood here. The jasmine is not too strong, but it's there, mingling and mixing, providing prescence for the composition. The musk peeks out shyly towards the end. It's fresh, bright, makes me think of the colors green, and white. It's never sweet. It could also be considered an
acquatic scent, due to it's thin, fine, and clear attributes.

Malegria

I like it...it is fresh, but not too much...the flowers are subtle and not overly sweet, and just a touch of lily of the valley make it oh so innocent. It`s a perfect everyday scent on a right person - I noticed that on some it tends to become soapy and a little nauseating, when on the others it stays fresh and pure.

arladanielle

I was walking in a supermarket the other day and a nice-looking chap followed me to the cashier with chocolates on hand. He tapped my shoulder and awkwardly asked what scent i was wearing. He smiled and said he would like his girlfriend to smell the same..Haha, I laughed to myself. I didnt know this fragrance would last a full ten hours. And it sure impressed a guy half my age.
I'd wear it again tomorrow.

rachellkimb

My friend gave me this shower gel..I ordered a perfume sample out of curiousity. The shower gel is kinda strong..and the scent is self was kinda weak..but that goes for most Avon scents in my opinion. A nice floral..but I prefer "sweeter" scents.

Denyze

My sister wore this once. It was too simple although pleasant enough. Too light, forgettable, too simple and not striking at all.

elisa321

This is pleasant enough in a green and calming sort of way, but it's rather boring and very forgettable. However, it's inoffensive and does give a certain scent of cleanness. I wouldn't mind wearing it if it's just a casual, everyday occasion and had to wear something but had nothing else to wear. But I certainly wouldn't buy this scent out of my own choice. My bottle came as a gift from someone.

Strangely enough, I like the bath gel a lot better. The gel has a much more detectable scent of soft flowers which I can't smell much of in the perfume.

Vivi

I tried this in the perfumed body powder and loved it. Can't wait to try it in the cologne. And my husband loves it, which is hard to find.

tessture

If there is such a thing as a sheer oriental, this is probably it. Layered but somehow not complex, it is light notes, almost shiny. It's very nice, but it ended a bit too sharply bright on my skin, probably due to the sandalwood in combination with the greens. I love the idea of the notes, but they didn't agree with my chemistry. But on other women I've smelled it as elegant rather than pretty, floral without being sweet or smelling like a facefull of flowers.

crysna

A simple statement of sheer poetry! Awake your senses with this fragrance, a spiritual garden floral of jasmine, citrus and lilies. it's just simple perfect 4 everyday use, wonderfull smell i never get tired of it.

Stacey923

A hint of citrus and lily are what I notice on my skin. I like it.

falovalo

This is good for days when you cant decide what perfume to wear or during the warmer months. It's fresh and inoffensive and smells similar to Victoria's Secret Body By Victoria. The lasting power is pretty good too.

mackie

This perfume from avon is one of my favorites. It has changed my mind about perfumes with green notes.

Stacey923

Fresh and light. A nice scent.

I some how lost my bottle of this. It's very light, bright green floral. I think it would be a perfect scent for a teenager of someone just entering the world of perfumes. Silage was great, and I loved wearing it on cold rainy days for some reason.

a bit vintage

I really like Haiku, as it is a very fresh scent. It is uplifting, and perfect for reviving the spirit on a gloomy day. I prefer to use just the body lotion (the strength is just perfect). When I do apply this fragrance, I spray the air around me, instead of spraying directly onto my skin, which can be a bit too potent for me. Perfect everyday fragrance.

It's nothing that hasn't already been done, although it does smell wonderful. It's very wearable. It's not something I am dying to have, but wouldn't mind having.
