A pleasant girly perfume. A safe blind buy for a present for a younger person.

Lucky7z

This is literally a delightful fruity floral perfume!!! It’s more fruity in my opinion and the water lily gives it a slight aquatic vibe too!!
I wear this mainly in the warmer months but it can be worn in the colder months for a nice pick me up.
Longevity and sillage are moderate on me.

Can'tstopFragranceAddict

This is a perfect Spring and Summertime perfume!
It’s fresh, floral and sweet so it’s a great combination of notes, that zesty raspberry and beautiful apricot blossom, creamy vanilla and clean musk. It’s so versatile to wear, it also surprisingly lasts through out the day, it performs better then lots of designers and I get so many compliments! The price is fantastic as well! Around 20 dollars and you smell amazing and I love the bottle! One of my favourites from Britney 🩵❤️

GBH0907

This is a fresh fruity and cute its very Aquatic, even though it doesn't list this in the notes. Its versatile though, some people ae saying that they don't care for the sharpness, but if you pair it with a raspberry lotion (I used eos Pomegranate Raspberry) and it sweetened it a bit and brought out those fruity notes. But I think it shines more as a freshy, which is how I'm wearing it today and it lasts about 2-3 hours on skin about 6-7 on clothes so for the cost a banger. I'd say because it gives clean laundry it can be used year 'round, but I can see this will be a summer fave due to it keeping me fresh in 80 degree temps.

One of my top 3 Britney flankers for sure.

violetaura

You would REALLY think there'd be citrus in the top notes, like lemon or mandarin with a little raspberry. It has a sour opening, but raspberry can't make it that sour when theres also sugar in the top notes. I smell no sugar at all!
After the sour citrus it quickly turns into a very soapy floral, so yes I get all the forals listed in the mid notes, and the water lily also makes it quite aquatic.
Even though it's faded so much by the base notes, I might be able to detect the violet but nothing else- certainly no "sweet notes" or wood to be found here! Not even vanilla.

So if you are reading the notes listed and think you might like it, just forget all that! People who like a sour citrus opening (like Green Tea by EA) and soapy clean florals (like Burberry Brit Sheer, Jimmy Choo Illicit Floral and the drydown of Bright Crystal) will like this. People who really want the sweet notes should look at some of the other fantasy flankers or the original.

Other than disagreeing with the notes, I do like the fragrance. It just isn't strong enough for me, but would be suitable as a work scent for sure, to feel fresh and clean if you prefer a fruity floral.

Cocoice

When it dries reminds me a lot of Pink sugar by aquolina, but in a better way.

stellawinx

Unfortunately I wasn't not a fan of this one. I was expecting it to be sweet but on my skin it just smells sour. I've had this one for a few months but I still can't get myself to like it.

Even when I let it sit for a while it still smells sour :( does not last long also 😢

It’s not cloying however!

Will probably have to give this one away

LeilaniYamada

This is very mild and sweet, like watery Jolly Rancher hard candies. I'd buy this as a starter scent for a very young person, or for anyone who is sweet and bubbly and dislikes strong, heavy perfumes. It's impossible to over-spray or offend anyone with this - I've sprayed it like crazy and it's still mild and sweet, like I've just emerged from a bath in cool water with tiny purple flowers, jellybeans and fruit-flavored Jolly Rancher hard candies floating in it.

alisasergeyeva

Just got one today, for just 20$. Smells like soapy water with some bitterness, maybe even something citrusy, like orange peel. But I’m definitely letting it macerate for a bit in hopes of better performance lol

Donnasentenza

Circus fantasy might actually be the best flanker of all in Britney Spears' Fantasy line!

Candied raspberries meets sparkning Raspberry lemonade, sweet and sour fruity candy meets crystallized sugar and mesmerizing delicate apricot bloom in a whimsical candyland where everything is delicious.

Juicy Raspberries and fruity candy are definately the stars of the show in this mouthwathering happy fragrance.

Sillage and longevity are HUGE for a celebrity fragrance.
A compliment catcher of great proportions!

burnmemory

If you like Britney's 'believe' you'd probably like this scent
Definitely too strong for me and it lasted nearly 7 hours--
a bit nauseatingly strong big regret but cute bottle tho.... ive offended 2 poor innocents who crossed paths with me with this one so id tuck this one away for now and hope it grows on me

I prefer the original fantasy!

tanasha

On first impression this honestly kind of reminds me (roughly) of Petite Cherie by Goutal. No it’s not exact but has a similar effect. Will have to test them side by side and update.

Not really sure how this is a Fantasy flanker. Has nothing in common with the OG pink Fantasy. Only a few of the flankers have the OG Fantasy DNA which can be confusing if you are unfamiliar with the line.

Booski

Starts off with sweet and fresh raspberry and lemon, a little tangy. After that it immediately dries down to a powdery unisex vanilla and musk. This is nothing like Midnight Fantasy or Intimate Fantasy. Where MF is juvenile and overly sharp and sweet and where IF is sensual, zesty and creamy, CF is somewhere completely different to those two. It's woody and dark. It reminds me of Guess Noir Seductive, which is not my cup of tea.

Scintillating_Jade

I love this one. It smells so pretty, like a raspberry coated in sugar and dipped in marshmallow cream. It reminds me of cotton candy. Delicious, soft, feminine, fun, so so good!

Jade-Ange D

I love the dedication towards the overall aesthetic for Circus Fantasy. It is, of course, inspired by one of her best songs : Circus.
I find the scent to be very fresh, playful and sweet, so that really sticks well, once again, with her song.

Now let's dive deeper into the scent, it is nothing like the OG. It's lighter, more floral, sweet but not gourmand, and fresh as a nice shampoo or a nice and reassuring detergent (in a good way of course).

On the opening, I mostly get fruits and sweetness, there's a citrusy feeling that makes this fragrance fresher, and it comes from the Water Lily. The Apricot Blossom, to me, smells just like freshly washed apricot skin.
Then, there's this candy aspect, coming from the Sugar, and the Sweet notes. The Raspberry isn't loud, it is in fact, pretty watered down, it's discreet and rather synthetic.

Surprisingly, the fruitiness doesn't seem to come only from the sheer Raspberry, but also from the Apricot Blossom and Water Lily. They both create a light and bright feeling.

The dry-down is the part where the detergent/shampoo feeling is the most prominent, you get a sweet base, light florals, and a clean side with that discreet White Musk and a sweet Vanilla base.

Not bad for the price, since I got it at Action for less than 20 euros.
The only negative thing I can openly admit, is the longevity. It’s sheer and pretty much faint, doesn’t last longer than 3h if you don’t overspray, and if you do, the only way thing that’ll last longer is the sillage.

It is one of these nice and light perfumes that you spray when you want to chill at home, watching movies. It’s cute and has this sparkling effect, it puts me in a good mood every time.

From a collector perspective, I am so so glad and proud to own Circus Fantasy, all thought I truly don’t think it is the best flanker of the line. It’s a cute effortless and cozy scent

Altepoch

This smells like fresh out of the shower sweet shampoo at first spray, and as it dies down I can smell the vanilla and a bit of the musky. I this think is a night clean light scent.

Snowy_noelle

I got this since I love circusy/clowny things and this fits that to a T. It's a very sweet scent that I would be happy to wear anytime, but probably only in casual settings. I wouldn't describe it as a light scent but it's very bright and fun, plus its very cheap! The bottle is cute and silly in a way that really appeals to me but might not be to everyone's taste.

Berrylicious

This scent is the most beautiful one i have ever smelled oh my god it's so fantastic
It makes me happy

BabyOliverMyFragrantica11

Not a fan of Circus, to me its just a linier shampoo scent. I'm not sure what the note is that I get...maybe the peony.
I do love Fantasy intimate.

Vyn

i cant decide if i like this or not. Usually i love citrus scents and this one is similar to lemon and sugar which fades into a musky scent overtime. the emphasis of fresh real peony is definitely there. In the first hour it honestly just smells like bathroom cleaner. it lasts max 3 hours on me.

nymphfairy

ew no i don’t know whether i got a bad batch or something but this smells like musty cucumbers to me

lucasthiring

I always heard good things about her Fantasy line, especially the original one, so when I went to Action today to do some Christmas shopping my husband showed me the Circus Fantasy perfume and I was SO happy! Circus was my favorite album of hers, I got it when it was released from one of my mom's exes when I was 8 years old and I used to go to my mom's bedroom and sit down next to her stereo system and put the CD in and listen to the whole album daydreaming. It was during a difficult time so I have fond memories of the album. So I was extremely excited to see the perfume there! They also had hidden Fantasy but I didn't get it because we were already getting a lot of presents and looking up the notes and reviews I'm glad I didn't get it bc I'm not really a citrus person.

I looooove the box for the perfume I'm definitely keeping it! I love the bottle itself too but I wish it was more of a intense blue like the pictures online but it's whatever. The scent itself is very nice! At first it smelled more citrusy/ fruity but after it settled into my skin I could smell the flower and powder notes. It reminds me of like getting fresh out of the shower and smelling like a clean body wash and shampoo ok yourself and in the air. Idk how else to describe it and it might not sound correct but others. On my husband it's smelled more like a powder soap at first for some reason but than after it settled it smelled more like flowers and a little fruity/ citrus. Like I said before I'm not a citrus person but I don't really mind it! I wouldn't say it's a sexy elegant smell but definitely more like fun and bouncy!

Can't wait to get the others from her collection and I got it for a great price 12€! I'm below the poverty line so I can't afford all the expensive luxury brands so this perfume is a big deal for me and I definitely recommend it to people who have a tight budget!

CamJ27

This is probably my favourite ‘fantasy’ perfume, it’s light, citrusy and fun. Would be good to layer with the OG perfume as it’s weak.

Cellar

It’s nice I would like to wear it in the summer it just smells like citrus honestly I thought it was gonna be more gourmand

Texasperumefan

Citrus + sweet. Smells like lemon flavored shaved ice. Smells like a natural fruit raspado.

Mycoleman2800

My, my, my. This is really nice. It's ten times better than I thought it was going to be. I will definitely be reaching for this one frequently. It smells so good on my skin. A burst of tart flowers, musk and woodsy notes stand out on my skin the most. I have four of these and this one is my favorite, then number two would be Hidden Fantasy, then Midnight Fantasy, and lastly Fantasy Intimate. I hate I hesitated so long before buying this. I'm just glad that I finally took the leap.

rosiekposie

I think this is my favorite Fantasy flanker that I've tried but it sadly only lasts for like 5 seconds on my skin.
It's a nice sweet candy smell with a little fruit that isn't overly cloying to me.

Gabsp28

I have always liked Britney spears perfume, I have had most of hers. This a sweet, fruity scent. Fresh amd light. It lasts a decent amount time.

The13thHour

Circus Fantasy is a surprisingly fun and alluring perfume. It is a slightly mature scent, however, I think anyone could wear this. You get a lot of the red fruits and a slight citrus note in the beginning but the berries mull down as the floral notes come in with the deep sweet vanilla. Although they are not similar, I can see why this is compared to Amor Amor. Circus Fantasy is great for all year around and not bothersome in the summer.

KASSY2GLAM

This is the kind of fragrance you wear after the gym. Its so bright, fresh and sparkly. Very good in the summer on a hot day.

suzanne_ronald

Tart & Fruity RED-CURRANT & RASPBERRY. Opens with a burst of tart & sour fruits that evokes red-currant & raspberry. That all deepens into the heart which elaborates the red-currant/raspberry theme with velvety tones from peony, fresh tones from water-lily and succulent tones from orchid. This all rests on a fruity-floral support base with candy, fluffy, violet, vanilla & faint woody facets. Overall I get a tart & fruity wearable red-currant & raspberry scent.

Contrast to Amor Amor Cacharel:
These are different, but I can see why they've been compared, as there is a striking similarity with red-currant. Circus Fantasy is more wearable imho, and plumps the red-currant with raspberry. Both have excellent performance, but Amor Amor has a more piercing projection.

Contrast to So Sweet Lolita Lempicka:
These are different, but this is another red-currant scent to my nose, although it's softened by a rose-iris support. Both have excellent performance.

Overall: a delightful red-currant & raspberry scent with excellent performance for year-round wear, although I would be more likely to wear this in summer. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

I recieved this REAL COWABONGA perfume today,

yes, of cause I have smelled it.... many times....before... many times... stupid me... then I thought, I couldn't sink so deep, but, now, I have felled so deep (in the rabbit-hole, again), and even deeeper in this circus-madness ,,, pls, I don't neeed any help, or, well, I just need 10 back-up bottles of this outstanding bjutifullll perfume!!!t

Everything is already said about this fantalastiske bra parfymen, selv om du må spraye deg 10 ganger i timen, dette vil du, and, if y dont like it after all - give it to me!!!!

Myru

I love love love this!! The shade of blue encapsulates this scent perfectly!

It smells like fresh dryer sheets with sweetness! So refreshing and uplifting!

It’s as if blue raspberry slush or lemonade mixed with dryer sheets!

Perfect for spring or summer to get a freshness but also brightness that you envision spring and summer as!

One of the reviews describes this as a daytime version of midnight fantasy and I love that! I think it’s spot on!

The lasting power is pretty good as well!!

blackoutangel

i originally had this perfume sometime between 2013 to 2016 and liked it but never repurchased. it seemed to become hard to find but recently has become easier to find (or maybe i never looked hard enough lol)

i recently found it second hand super cheap and completely by luck and had to repurchase for the nostalgia

i genuinely think this is an underratted fragrance. the flrorals arent too harsh and infarct come across a little sweet but thats probably all the sweet notes blending together with it.
i tend to prefer sweet or fruity over floral but i think this perfume balances the two perfectly

my unpopular take is that this perfume can be suitable for the fall or winter as its a little warm to me in a similar way to hidden fantasy but i seem to be alone on that opinion

Peaches&Cream

A floral, fruity and sweet and powdery perfume. I honestly forgot how good this smells to me. Perfect for summer and spring that has lasting power.

Gemsense

I thought I’d love this but it’s just too light and airy and non existent. I’m anosmic to it. I only get very very faint whiffs and it’s very linear and watery. Doesn’t do well with my chemistry when I am able to smell something.

@GiGiknows— lol I agree with all those other fantasies being better. Those are all the ones I love too.

magoripple

It smells like a fountain or a bath filled with flowers. It’s a little like hairspray when I first spray it sometimes, but I don’t sense it that often. I wish the fizzy sweetness lasted for longer, since after a couple of hours it has a warmer vanilla and musk smell. I still like this scent, but it’s a departure from what the scent originally was. I also love the bottle and packaging! It reminds me of going to the fair in the summertime.
Edit: I actually really like the vanilla base notes! I like how they blend with the top and middle notes. It creates a very sweet and comforting fragrance.

Sam Rdz

I think this perfume is fresh and sweet. Amazing for summer, and this really reminds me of one direction that moment. It doesn't last very long but it's really nice.

GigiKnows

This fantasy perfume smells like shampoo, so I gave my new blind purchase bottle away. I personally don't like perfumes smelling like shampoo and prefer more sweet, vanilla, or oriental. I know this one gets a lot of good reviews, but I do think there are other Fantasy perfumes that are better. I also would not describe this as floral. I think the best Fantasy perfumes are Fantasy, Intimate, Midnight, Festive, Glitter, Intense, Rocker Femme

hannahgilbird

While I didn't absolutely love this one at first, I have found myself reaching for it over and over again. At first I didn't think it was anything special, but I have a pretty large fragrance collection and nothing else I have smells like this.

I get a sweet but not overly sweet, violet hard candy. That is very specific, but if you've ever tasted and smelled a floral hard candy - this is it! It is just powdery and sweet enough. My husband also loves this one and I always receive complements. This may be one that's in my collection always :')

babybels777

A daytime version of Midnight Fantasy. Fresh, sweet, clean, and floral. Slightly tart raspberries, sugar, and flowers.

This fragrance is a wonderful choice for spring and summer because it's not too sweet or heavy for the warmer months like some other Fantasy flankers.

The longevity is not the best on my skin. It last for about 2 hours before it's completely gone. The sillage is supringsly good, though

KatanaBluebird

Clean and not too sugary sweet. I really like this one!

Tessbes

Don't listen to the 'reminds me of' , I HATE amor amor 🤣 Circus is a bit powdery , clean and sweet.perfect for summer without being sickly sweet

smccmurphy

Opening smelled like bandaids on me. Dry down is a mild crisp sweet and floral scent. This is all based on the body lotion, so the perfume may be different!

SykoMuffin

Smells like a beautiful garden full of fairies and flowers... when it's not on me. I blind bought it when it went on sale at Christmas to complete my little Britney collection, but unfortunately when I tried it, it smelled like OFF bug spray. As an experiment I used my mom as a lab rat and sprayed it on her. It smelled the way it was intended to smell. So it's just me. Results may vary.

Bkboynxtdoor

Circus fantasy- another revisit from my childhood :)
I have had this one for a while but just kinda threw it in my drawer & moved on with other things. I revisited it recently and enjoy it as a day to day fragrance to throw on. It’s sweet, but light and airy. I like the raspberry lemon like notes, like sugared candies. I think it’s aged better than fantasy, as that feels kinda loud and obnoxious at this given day. Circus fantasy is fun and cute, not to be taken too seriously. Just enjoy the ride!

sophia <3

Circus Fantasy is an interesting fragrance. It follows the same sweet, juvenile trend that the other Fantasy perfumes have, but has a slightly different theme to the scent. I was quite disappointed when I bought this as I was expecting another signature 'Britney' gourmand smell following its notes, but instead was met with lots of apricot, traces of floral smells, but also a peppery scent? Don't get me wrong, the smell is pleasant, but it is definitely not everyone's cup of tea, and is not a safe blind buy. It is much lighter than its Fantasy sisters and is suitable for days where you want a light, airy scent that isn't overpowering. The sillage is OK and the smell surprisingly lasts quite a long time. I find that the dry-down is not very different to the initial smell, so if you like a consistent smell all day, this perfume is for you.

To me, Circus Fantasy smells like a walk through a park on a warm fall afternoon.

Overall, not my favourite scent from the Fantasy line, a very light scent but probably not a safe blind buy. Apricot with a bit of a floral trace.

KatelynMLovesPerfume

This to me isn't super candy sweet - it's more like a crisp fresh apricot which I feel like gives it that citrus like tinge, the essence of orchid, and then like a powdery type sweet scent all put together. It's not a super fruity or gourmand scent and I usually don't designate perfumes for any season but I tend to only pick this up in the summertime. It does also have a unisex vibe but it's in a complimentary way. I do like this fragrance though it's different from her Fantasy line being all about sweet decadence. But I do love this for the summer and it lasts pretty well!

rosiekposie

Such a yummy fruity candy scent on my clothes. Maybe my fav fantasy flanker.
Has a more unpleasant old syrupy smell on my skin though, so for me personally this will be a clothes only scent, but a really good one.

Desert Flower

Think going get another bottle of this.
Sweet notes put me off bc thought was generic.
Years ago.
Now think hard, flavorful candy.
In any event, this is a proven line.
Thanks to her successful perfume empire you can still get Fantasy and her flankers easily and not at higher prices like some other celebrity and design house offerings which simply are not better.

Erinlu

I heard so many conflicting reviews that I didn't know whether to buy it or not. I finally did it and I'm amazed. Such a nice scent! The top notes do reminds me of fruits of amor amor 2003, but as the hours go by, it reminds me aquatic perfumes like light blue. A 10 for me. 🩵

hijoebye

There's some citrus opening, many described here as lemon; the official notes say raspberry but it could even be grapefruit to me. Very cheerful and sweet floral, the note that stands out to me the most is Violet and I can recall the same acquatic quality in perfumes 10x the price - Zegna's "Florentine iris" for me. The bio says it has a note of 'violet candy' something I never heard before & turns out to be a retro candy? It evokes a type of clean gourmand feel but never too seriously. The color of the bottle matches the scent perfectly.

EDIT - This performs really well on clothes. After 3 sprays this morning I'm smelling it still 8 hours later.

Neurotictoc

Yummy and playful! Youthful and cheery but I like the musk, vanilla and iris giving it freshness, airyness and creamier quality. Reminds me of gummy bear candies but in a fresh not too sweet way. I think this has a tinge of unisex qualities because of the citrus+violet but I feel it also makes this unique. I was surprised how well I could smell it during a winter day. Not an easy task for a freshie. But then again I guess this is a fresh, fruity gourmand. I love it. Energetic, fun and sporty even. Like a fun, laidback hot girl frag. If you are not into youthful, playful scents you should skip this. It takes a certain personality to pull this of if you are older. I guess if this was a zodiac sign frag it would be Gemini's. I like it. Longevity is moderate which is the only downside. Also the bottle is a bit childish but oh well. Pretty still and cute. Not everything in life needs to be so serious and this scent is more the fun type. :) 7,5/10 freshie gourmand.

ca$hm3re

I am low-key collecting the Britney perfumes, I was already a lover of Midnight Fantasy before I got into collecting and now I have quite a few from the collection (check my shelf).

And this one’s really nice! I got it from Amazon for like £20 and it’s definitely not what I was expecting! It is clean and yet sweet. Fresh and yet not in a way you’d expect. It does remind me of white sugar, but is definitely not a ‘candy’ smell to me. It has a touch of aquatic-ness but the main scent to me is of a sugary clean smell.

It’s very unique to me, definitely not a generic scent, and yet still inoffensive and easily likeable by the masses.

I’d say this is a safe blind buy and not one I can imagine many disliking, it’s not masculine as someone else commented (I imagine they received a fake), it is just a fun and girly scent with a clean and fresh twist. I am wearing it today and really enjoying it. If you can get it at £20 or under, then definitely do!

shaelavinia

Smells very sweet and citrusy a bit juvenile in my opinion had it on for 5 minutes and it gave me a massive headache lol

AutumnJewel

Great teen scent for the spring . Raspberry gumdrops with a generic shampoo scent in the best way… I gave my bottle away but I like it better than the original (only because the OG has changed and isn’t as fruity gourmand as it was before )

raw umber

Clean, slightly sharp, acidic citrus/blue floral scent with sweet and bitter raspberry/violet nuances. Fresh, synthetic, and sparkly, with distant echoes of other raspberry-violets like Guerlain's My Insolence. I'd consider it a watery and unisex spring-summer seasonal scent, since cold air seems to swallow it up making me partly anosmic to it. The opening reminds me of a raspberry tinted "Kitchen Lemon" from Bath & Body Works, if anyone is familiar with that hand soap. I can see it being very refreshing in the heat due to the relative lack of sweetness compared to the original Fantasy. The final stage is a musky blue floral accord reminiscent of Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream- a bit grassy/soapy, and violet-musk forward with watery shadows of tart berries. This is for the most recent reformulation.

perfumaphile

This is a sweet fragrance with some musk and that little fruity touch that most Britney fragrances have. I like this more than the original Fantasy, it's a fresh juicy raspberry scent. It does somewhat have a shampoo feel, but let's not forget that freshly washed hair can smell really nice. Unfortunately, I do find it to be quite juvenile and synthetic. I'd say it's for casual wear maybe like going to a fair/circus ;)

Update: this smells better in cooler weather, still synthetic, but less cloying

Apriltee

Shampoo fruity, smells clean like shower gel. I wear this to the gym a lot and it just smells clean not like I’m wearing perfume

perfumeloverforever

I had to add another review, the more I smell these newer reformulated batches the more I can't stand it. The original formula I loved but now we have these half size boxes available and the formula has changed and is very sour (nothing wrong with thinking about saving paper due to the environment but changing the formula isn't cool). As with most reformulations they tend to start off ok and similar (a marketing trick) which is why I believe some people claim they think certain perfumes were never reformulated. But once this new version gets to the heart notes it really becomes a very masculine sour smell which I can't tolerate. I'm looking out for original formulas because I miss the good old stuff.

Susi.312

I am trying to understand this fragrance. Lightly sweet and tart. It is clean, fresh and bright. This smells like a high frequency, if that makes any sense. Circus Fantasy is quite artificial berry smelling like those cheap blue "juice" drinks, but it smells good! Even though I LOVE the bottle...this is not for me.

lauralily

Good everyday scent. Smells clean and sweet. Good for any age but probably more suited towards younger people.

flower sniffing girl

smells like blue raspberry shampoo, one of my fave scents. it’s a clean scent but has personality.

SailorV

I've been wanting to try this for a very long time, but where I live, testers or samples of Britney Spears perfume are harder to find than the most exclusive niche fragrances. Luckily a super lovely fragrantica friend sent me a bottle of Circus Fantasy, thank you so much!

I don't know why this is called Circus Fantasy, it neither reminds me of a circus, nor of the song by Britney. It does remind me of Cacharel Amor Amor, like many others have noted. But CF is the lighter, fresher version of it. It's fruity and transparent, also it reminds me of a watered down fruit juice drink. Ages ago someone on the forum mentioned this smelled like a Capri Sun, and I can see where they're coming from, it really has that texture, maybe due to the aquatic florals in the heart. Even though it has sugar in the notes list, I don't find this especially sweet. On the contrary, the raspberry note in this is so tart that it smells more like red currant and citrus fruits to my nose. Only the base adds some warmth with vanilla, musk and a sandal-ish woodsy note.

I think this is purely a summer scent, it works so much better in warm weather and turns kind of sour in the cold. The downside is that it really doesn't last long and evaporates even quicker in the heat. I sampled this in different weather conditions because I really wanted to love it, but in the end, I must admit it's only a like for me. In my opinion it's one of the weaker links in the Fantasy lineup.

Catnipple

This is not what i was expecting at all, i get a very clean less sweet and light version of the OG Fantasy with a tiny bit of aloe vera?? lol yes i swear i smell a slight hint of aloe vera in the dry down! maybe its the water lily? am i the only one?? 😂😅

:shmoop_m

I'm not sure I get any of the fragrance notes listed above. To me, this is just a very clean soap smell that is maybe a bit too sharp when you first put it on. Silage is not too intense, and the perfume lasts but softens quickly and becomes subtle and also a tiny bit sweeter over time. Because it smells like soap, it's almost quite a unisex fragrance to me, but it maybe leans just a little bit more feminine than masculine. I personally find it pretty boring, a little too sharp, and I'm undecided on whether or not I like the idea of a perfume that just makes me smell more prominently soapy/clean. I recommend it if you just want to smell extremely clean and fresh, or you need to spritz something on your clothes to refresh them. I don't think I would repurchase or recommend it though, and I hardly ever wear it. This is one of my 10ml minis, so its cute, but I'm not very drawn to the scent or the bottle design for this one.

Noveight

I love this tart burst of raspberry and light sugar and musk. I layered it with the Body Shop Raspberry body cream and it is divine. One of my favorite summer combos. Keeps me feeling fresh in the heat.

Hayven

Cheap as chips fragrance. It’s a sweet but clean scent. I most get tart and sour raspberry musk. It’s refreshing to wear after a shower in summertime.

Cristidarling6387

This smells like juicy, sticky nectarine. I love it. I don’t see the resemblance to Fantasy whatsoever. I see this being a Flanker of PH Can Can, but longer lasting.

typeonegative333

I'm getting a lot of citrus notes from this for some reason, but once it really settles into the skin it smells like sour gummy candy, I personally love it. Lemon, some other fruits, and warheads but definitely less sour. Here I am impressed by a Britney Spears fragrance again, I haven't smelled a bad one yet.

feedingfairies

I went for a Britney-perfume-splurge after she regained her freedom and Circus Fantasy was one of the blindbuys I found for a good deal.

On me this smells fizzy. Like a soda or sour candy. But it also has a powdery essense. It is weird, but I like it. Sweet, sour, fresh and powdery all at once. If this perfume was a person it would be someone bubbly and who giggles - a lot! I think it works well for everyday because it is not overpowering. It might be more suitable for someone younger than me, but I will still wear Circus Fantasy on occasion when I want to elevate my mood.

mayberry

This is very different. The cupcake note in OG Fantasy. And aquatic soap bar cucumber lemonade. A strange combo, but it works. For some reason I think of using hairspray, and then pressing the hair. It smells a bit like hot hair.

Noveight

Citrusy tart lemon then sweet red raspberries and sugar. Some soft florals (nothing soapy or indolic). Fresh, sweet, pretty, perfect for summer. I love it! It’s so playful. Some might find it too youthful, but I don’t care!

QueenBriixo

Ookayyy so just ignore the tacky bottle 😩 .! Don’t get me wrong the bottle is a beautiful blue but blue and …. red .? I guess circus really does match the colour of the bottle lol . I actually love this scent . Even more then I did a few years ago . It’s a beautiful flower scent with just a little hint of sugar . I would put this in the category of a aquatic floral . Too bad it only lasts 2-3 hours on me and goes to a skin scent after a couple hours . This definitely isn’t your grandmas floral perfume ; it’s young and way ahead of its time .

May fouad

I get this bottle to get any sugary note.. unfortunately there isnt any sugar note ...
nothing except the same
Elizabeth Erden perfume look like .... very sharp note not in a good way its similar to
Elizabeth Erden Provocative .....
very very disappointed with this bottle

haleykbhenry

It starts off as a playful gummy bear with apricot blossom and quickly transitions to a violet water lily sugar raspberry vibe 💖 This has been beating out Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Intense 🌊 as my top performing perfume in the extreme heat 🥵 The value you get for the price you pay and the performance are SO good!

This doesn’t take itself too serious so it’s perfect for the girl who always smells amazing, is pretty in the I’m-not-trying type of way but still goes on those spontaneous adventures to the beach. Please be warned that you have to be youthful at heart to truly appreciate this gem 💎

fformoso88

I had this when it first came out and I bought it recently because I have been on a nostalgic kick lol. It’s just as I remember except for I think it used to last longer as with MOST Britney fragrances now and days but it’s still absolutely gorgeous! Sweet, sugar, raspberry, candy, fruity cocktail! I think it’s amazing for spring and summer but honestly I feel you can definitely rock this anytime! I don’t get the hate on this one I think it smells really nice! I think I still like the original fantasy better but that one is completely different anyways! If you like these kind of sweet, candy, summery fun fragrances then definitely check it out. Price is good too!

thebigandthebeautiful12367

i just got this and it smells like nothing. literally nothing.

Bokato

This smells like a raspberry lemon creamsicle or like a raspberry lemonade
It’s fruity and fresh sweet but not too much and reminds me a little of soft by al rehab
At first sniff i wasn't sure if i liked it
It was fresher than i expected and i got a lot of citrus. But the more it dried down the sweeter and comfier it got😋
This’s a fresh sweet summer scent
And a flirty light and happy spring scent
And i would definitely wear this after taking a shower or i would put it on if I’m going to bed feeling relaxed and comfy

SerenaLovesKanye

I don't know what it is about this scent but I love it. I wish it lasted longer. There are similarities with Amour Amour by Cacharel and I love that too. I have about 5 Britney Perfumes I think and this one is my favourite so far.

AutumnJewel

Note For Myself: Raspberry gummy candy with hint of vanilla sugar and woodsy notes. Safe fragrance, attracts compliments. Nostalgic . Not a love for me,

redberrykitty

An absolute 100% favorite. This has been a favorite of mine for almost 12 years. Or at least, a cheap clone of it.

Little storytime: My grandma was the manager of our local Rainbow from 2008-2011 (in 2011, she became severely disabled and could not work). Rainbow sold clone fragrances of popular scents for like $10 or less. Their version of Circus was called Carnival, and I loved that perfume. I'm a life-long Britney fan, and I listened to her Circus album constantly then, but this perfume was still kind of expensive because it had just released. So, I was given Carnival and I wore it all the time; I wore it to Disney World in 2010 when I went for the first time. I flew through the bottle, but saved some up until 2020 when all the top and middle notes had faded (which is impressive given how low quality it was).

Now that I am back into perfume proper and have the real thing, I could not be more in love and impressed. Carnival was, as it turns out, a pretty good clone. Watered down and less potent, but I enjoyed it so much. Around this time, I also used to love Vera Wang fragrances, but I'm not so sure anymore, but I'm still in love with this scent and it will always be in my collection.

Circus lasts forever on me, especially my clothes. It's like we were meant to be! (As I'm typing this, I can smell it on the pillow I was holding yesterday afternoon!) You get a super sweet raspberry, musk, and a beautifully powdery violet. Versatile, can be worn in any season. Definitely my favorite Fantasy flanker; I love it even more than the original.

colagurrrl

I am so disappointed in this fragrance. I had really high hopes, as I love Britney and her other fragrances that I have tried. I also heard that this smelled like blue raspberry, sour candy, and lemonade, which was very intriguing. However, this perfume smells horrible on me. At first, the scent is floral and powdery, which was promising. As the fragrance dried down, I could not place the way the perfume reacted with my body chemistry. It smelled so familiar, yet not like any perfume I would want to wear. Then, it hit me: purple SoftSoap hand soap. I couldn't shake this smell (even after giving the perfume two more chances!), and could not stand it, so I gave this to my sister. On her, it smells so lovely! I definitely get the floral, sweet, candy-like notes that people love about Circus Fantasy when she wears it. Maybe it's placebo, maybe it's just my body chemistry, but I do wish this perfume was a keeper for me.

darlindol

This was my first scent from the Fantasy line and I am in LOVE. I'd best describe this as a sharp, sour-sweet raspberry candy. Be aware that when I say sour, I mean SOUR. The sour raspberry note is VERY sharp, but the sweetness is also very strong so they kind of battle and dance around each other in a way that's absolutely intoxicating. It's a scent that will grab you by the throat and demand your attention; this is not something for light days or to wear in the office. The longevity is on the lower side of moderate; I'd say 4-5 hours, but for the price, you can afford to reapply, so it's not an issue for me. I would describe this as playful, bold, and absolutely edible.

SerenaLovesKanye

I listen to rap music so Queen Latifah or Rhianna is more up my alley for a blind perfume buy. But finally, something led me to gorgeous Britney. My first experience was when I sprayed Intimate Fantasy since there was a tester and my eyebrows raised - low key impressed. Do I love Britney Spears? Yes. I do. And after smelling (bought today) this perfume - Britney Spears Circus Fantasy - wow. At first spray does it resemble a very good men's cologne? I don't know but I love this Circus. The first one I bought was Midnight Fantasy - it's good. But this one is my favourite. Then I bought Hidden Fantasy. Really good. So out of the three Britney Fantasy perfumes I now own - Circus is my favourite. Then Hidden Fantasy in the deep red bottle and then third favourite out of three comes Midnight Fantasy in the royal blue beautiful bottle.

It's Britney, bitch. And she's surprised me before - and she did it again today with Circus - I did not think I'd like it after reading mediocre reviews. They said silly untruths (smells like soap or shampoo or baby powder - NO.) I fell in love with it at first spray on my skin- the dry down is so good too - is it the combo of Peony and Violet that I love? The top is stunning, the middle notes captured my heart, this perfume is relaxing and gorgeous and so special. The dry down - also great. The bottle is visually my least favourite of the ones I have but the smell of Circus Fantasy, for me, is the best. I don't know what it smells like but it reminds me of something that I love. It's new for me so I hope that the silage and longevity are at least good because I want this perfume all over - a Britney cloud of blue shimmer with studded pink crystals. There I said it.

It's Britney bitch.

Britney - if you're reading this - I love you.

LindaL100

I'm usually not a big fan of Britney's fragrances from her 'Fantasy' series because I find many of them to be a bit too sweet and heavy that I wouldn't wear them, even though I do still like the smell of some of them. But I am pleasantly surprised by this Circus fantasy, compared to most of her other perfumes in her Fantasy series, this particular one is less sweet and more fruiter and floral and lighter. The combination of fruity and floral notes are lovely and really complement each other well. This is 1 of the few perfumes from her Fantasy series that I would actually wear and I do wear this perfume quite often.

katntem

''Circus Fantasy'' is an INCREDIBLE, UNIQUE, WONDERFUL perfume!!!! I LOVE IT!!! It is completely different from the other flankers. It really is a very difficult perfume to describe!! It's that UNIQUE and different!! It also smells clean. I can smell the raspberry, the apricot blossom, some sweetness but not too much, musk, violet and woody notes. I ADORE this scent!! I will defintely repurchase for sure!! That's staying in my collection for as well. I don't think it is safe a blind buy though. You have to smell it first, because it is SOOO DIFFERENT. One of my favorite and one of the best Britney Spears perfumes BY FAR!! Longevity and sillage are very good. By the way follow me on Instagram, on Twitter and on My YouTube channel Catherine Ntemou

obssessedsniffer

Clean, sugared lemon smelling. Almost smells like a lemon drop. Weirdly there isn't a lemon note. Very unisex to me.

Soccergreat88

This is cheap so it was worth the blind buy but unfortunately, the newer version of this that I have doesn't compare to my older version I also have. The newer one is very child shampoo scent but not bad, just not something I reach for. My older formulation is stronger and more enjoyable for me but if you like these scent profiles, you will like it.
I think the original and other flankers would be more pleasing for most people but still good for the price!!

ismellgood98

I blind bought this recently from Fragrance net, the bottle leaked in the box, and I hated the initial whiff I got when opening the packaging. That being said, I decided to try it on just wrists today and I am shocked at how much I love it! This is dopamine in a bottle for me. I'm not sure which note it is but there's something in this that goes straight to the back of my nose and triggers some sort of happy chemical response. I saw a review on this recently that said this was the "youngest smelling" bottle in the fantasy line, I'm not sure I agree with that but it is definitely sweet and girly (as is the entire fantasy line). I think this is more complex than maybe some people give it credit for, or maybe I just got a really good batch!! It opens with a watery raspberry and some sharp floral notes, but if you let it settle it morphs into the prettiest sweetest floral with a touch of wood. The water lily sticks around on my skin and really balances the whole thing, keeping it from being overly sugary. On the dry down I actually get a lot more woods than I was expecting, I think I might try to layer this with a pure sandalwood fragrance to make it a little more mature! I'm not sure about longevity on this yet but I rarely rely on that when looking for a fragrance I love. Before buying this I already had OG Fantasy, Sunset Fantasy, and Midnight Fantasy in my collection. I like them all in different ways but I think this one is my new favorite! I can't believe I hated this one out of the box! The price makes it worth the blind buy in my opinion as long as you are a fan sweet florals and the fantasy line!

lisuca

This is not sweet at all on me. It reminds me of something from Avon from the 70s/80s that smelled “dry” on me. It was almost like a urine smell and then that disappeared, thankfully. I’m not sure how to explain it exactly, but absolutely NOTHING sweet about this at all!
I’m with the reviewer below: it must be the violet because this is one note on me from start to finish.
It smells like Malizia from the late 90s/early 2000s on me. I lived in Romania at that time and that’s all anyone smelled like!
It’s ok when layered with Sugarful berry because it takes that “dryness” out of the smell.
It was a blind buy for $20 so meh. Not horrible, but not great.

M1tsouko

I absolutely despise this fragrance. I hate how it dries down on me so much. To me it almost has a borderline grandma smell.

Update: I mixed some white musk fragrance oil i had in order to dull down the weird drydown and it worked out pretty well! It is a lot more duller, the florals and the fruitiness isn't as loud as it was originally. but overall it's quite a nice scent. I think i may have changed my mind with this fragrance but it's still not a love.

Monroe123

I bought this online last week based on the wonderful reviews I read on here. I’m not sure what I was expecting from this fragrance. I was looking for a sweet/vanilla type scent. What stands out on my skin with this one I think it’s mostly the violet. I thought I loved it but when I got to work I got a few comments on it and they weren’t good. This isn’t a bad scent, at all. Actually, quite the contrary. I just don’t think it does very well with my chemistry. If anyone wants to swap, I have a full bottle :-)

Riley96

This smells sweet but there’s also a freshness to it. For some reason it kinda reminds me of a girly version of a perfume I had when I was a kid: OP Juice (for men), but I haven’t smelled it in a while so my memory might not serve me right. I think it’s perfect for the summer season but also for early fall when it’s still warm outside. I recently started collecting Britney fragrances so I’m excited to see how they compare to this one!

Tammyrobins7

I agree with Nickj3216 this must have been reformulated. This used to be really sweet and clean at the same time, it seems weaker in strength. The sweetness has really become much less to my memory. I remember being hooked on the initial spray. It was bursting with summertime fuzzy sweetness, almost like the sweetest candy pop drink.

It's still a nice perfume, but like a diet version in my opinion. I also find with reformulations that there seems to be a slight chemical note that was never there before!!

Dreamdott

I like this a lot! I only have britney spears fantasy anniversary edition to compare this to but comparing the two, this definitely has a more lighthearted fruitiness compare to AE its more fruity and candy like compared to AE which is more cupcake, deeper and sweeter. This has the fantasy DNA so its not too far off. It smells like how the bottle looks lol. Definitely the more fresh one out of the two but its still very sweet! Its a very nice aquatic. I dont usually love aquatics so much but this is a really good one.

Edit: Wow! And after 2 weeks ... this is so flipping good. Do not sleep on this please!!

zedas1

I have never commented on a fragrance, and I am new to collecting/enjoying them, and can’t always identify scents in particular. That being said, this perfume works very well for me on the dry down, and I can really smell the vanilla & woody notes while still getting some of the sweet, sugary scents.

It works quite well for my chemistry, and seems to be a favourite of those around me as I get a lot of compliments on it.

Have never tried a Britney perfume before, but for $20 at 100ml, it’s an easy love.

Nickj3216

I feel there something Going on with this fragrance as I have both Circus bottles and box’s and the older bottle is more dark and box has Britney Spears in it but the newest one is just clear and no picture of Britney Spears In the box like the original ones sadly the newest bottle when I put it on my skin it doesn’t last long but the older version is much more long lasting. I think they reformulated this 🤨

$ortabroke

I love this!! This smells like slightly tart, still very sweet raspberry candy flavored shampoo. I was complimented at the gym while wearing this, which means it projects surprisingly well (my skin EATS fragrance).

This doesn't smell like Amor Amor to me at all. That fragrance, to my nose, is way too sickly sweet and awkwardly sour and powdery.

Jedazion

Very magical, whimsical fragrance. absolutely love the scent, I'd prefer it over midnight fantasy, original fantasy any day. Very easy to wear, and a great blind buy.

VelvetBunnyPerfumesInc.

Circus perfume is very nice. I like the sugary apricot blossoms and the powdery smells in it.
This has a whimsical vibe to it. Like little fairies riding a pink and light blue unicorn to their secret forest cave. They all smell sweet and powdery. The amber note in the base gives a nice woody finish. This perfume lasts a good amount of time on me. I like it🌞🌜

bbogicica

For me it’s a little sour but I really like it, it’s a very interesting and special edp.

alybee

To me this is a cross between Hidden Fantasy and Midnight Fantasy. As always Britney's perfume bottles and boxes are adorable and will look great on your vanity. This one is a bit shampoo-y but I think that means it'd be good for daytime or work. Not her best but definitely worth a try

GirlOnFire

Yes, it does smell like a fresh and slightly sweet pearlescent shampoo HOWEVER this is not a bad thing! I like this one but it’s not a favourite.

natasha28

Review is for my own reference - I wasn't sure what to expect with this as I was a bit afraid I wouldn't like it. It's not my top Britney scent, but it's good. It reminds of a kids bubble bath or those little bath oil jelly beads from the 90's that came in fun colours and shapes. It's a sweet scent that totally takes me back to when I would smell the jelly shell of the bath oil- I love the texture, smell and colours of them! It is funny how you can associate a smell with such a vivid memory! I don't find the raspberry note very prominent, I think I'd like it more if I could smell more raspebrry, like in Lancome's Tresor Midnight Rose. I do smell a little bit of violet, which I think helps to not make it so childish sweet. I don't know if it's the memory of the bath jellies or the water Lillie's that give it a watery/aquatic smell. i think this would be good in spring and summer, by the pool or beach. I think it would have been fun for them to add a popcorn note since it's called CircusF. I've never been to the virus but nothing about the scent makes me think of one. This one is okay.

Edit: I like this better the second time trying it. There is a nice violet, jelly candy, and aquatic scent. Super sweet, but the florals help to not make it too cloying. I still get kids' bubble bath vibes from it. Longevity isn't the greatest, after 3-4 hours it's extremely faint on the skin

After wearing this a few more times I really like it, I find myself craving it! It smells like yummy gummy violets candies mmmmmm :) The silage is a bit better than some other britney perfumes at an arms length+.

LightOfJoy

This is a fresh and fruity shampoo smell, great for warm humid weather. The bottle is super cute, the cap is plastic but it's still adorable. What would have been helpful to read before purchase: it's pretty much dead on for Bath & Body Works' Wild Apple Daffodil, which I already have a mist of. This isn't an in depth review, but since the scent isn't in Fragrantica's database, I'm just going to drop it here. I'm not sure which came first... My six year old is enamored with it, so I've now relegated it to her vanity. It actually smells more vanillic and powdery on her skin.

JDT81

I'm surprised there are no citrus notes listed. To me this is fizzy, sweet and sour citrus (maybe grapefruit?) that dries down to vaguely vanilla-y sweetness.

Bkboynxtdoor

I have always loved this one, and tonight I tested out my bottle I’ve had just sitting in a drawer for a while. Sweet and fresh, not particularly in a cheap way like the other fantasies. Out of all the fantasies, this one probably aged the best to me. It’s still wearable and fun, it doesn’t take itself too seriously but it’s not as much of a hot mess as og fantasy.

perfumer123

My sister gave this to me on my birthday and I absolutely love it! It has a clean sweet floral perfume that works great with my skin. I can definitely smell the top notes of raspberry and sugar, which then fade to a softer sweet floral, and slightly woody aroma. The sillage isn't too intense which I tend to prefer and the longevity is quite good. I can smell this on my clothes after a few days and it smells so good.

I've never smelt the original fantasy or any of the other flankers so I can't compare it to any of the other fantasy perfumes, but from what I've read this seems to be a fresher and less sweet version of the original fantasy (although it is still very sweet). This perfume is really nice for the price and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a young sweet floral scent. It is not very unique or polarizing and it seems like a safe blind buy for anyone interested in a fun celebrity perfume.

Thatoneperfumer

It was my first Britney Spears fragrance and it’s smells sweet and clean honestly it’s a unique fragrance compared to other celebrities fragrances. I would give a good 7/10

middle25

I have the OG Fantasy and a few flankers, so I thought I could blind buy this and it would be fine. Unfortunately, I find this one overly watery and with a strange hay note that doesn't go away on my skin. I know it's so inexpensive, but I wish I had sampled it first. Not for me.

PPAN

Wow, this stuff. While it certainly doesn't smell expensive, it also doesn't smell as cheap as one might expect. There is a bit of that hairspray vibe, but nowhere near as headache inducing or synthetic. There is a cool aquatic note that makes this more unisex than feminine, and it's a bit sour, not coming from any citrus note but I think from the apricot blossom and peony combination. I also clearly detect a beautiful sugar note - which I rarely describe as "beautiful" but here it's really mouth watering and definitely not cloying. Overall, certainly not any complex or sophisticated, but it is as Britney would say, "very cool".

Alexandrarosario

This perfume is kind of special for me. This was my first perfume i've ever gotten when i was in high school. It reminded me of high school and my trip to singapore back then. It smells okay, kind of fruity and fresh. I don't know if the older me will like it hahaha

Imaginary_Around

On some days, it's sweet and refreshing, and has a nice citrus-candy edge that gives it an irresistible quality to it. (I think on these days I treat it like a body spray that I walk through and it's very light)

On other days, it's very sickly sweet and makes me feel like I'm in high school and it's a bad vibe. (Usually two-three sprays total on main pulse points.)

So, a neutral face from me!

AndreaValerie

Very very dissapointed with this fragrance. There’s nothing sweet about it and it’s nothing like Amor Amor or even similar to any of the other Fantasy fragrances. It’s very masculine and that’s if you can even smell it! It fades super quickly, it was only £10 for 100ml but even that’s isn’t worth the money! I wouldn’t waste my money again.

Tessbes

This one was not love at first spray for me, it was a grower! Now I find it such a unique scent. The raspberry is so frech smelling, I was surprised the scent didd'nt have any lime or lemon. I could swear it's sometimes citrussy on me. After the first fruity spray it dries down to a fresh powdery , alsmost cotton/linnen scent. Just very pleasent for spring and summer.

It's also my favourote bottle ever :) So cute and such a great match with the scent.

Ali Langer

Got a 3.4 oz bottle of this for $13 a while back from FragranceNet, and I couldn’t be happier about it. Like someone else here in the reviews said, Circus Fantasy does smell like a circus if it were seaside. The perfume is super-sweet, like blue cotton candy, yet slightly aquatic at the same time. Weird as that might sound, it’s actually so yummy!

When I first spray this, there’s something in it that definitely reminds me of lemons, but it’s very pleasant in my opinion because it’s combined with those sugary notes. After a while, however, I don’t notice the lemony scent any longer, and at that point the fragrance settles into the aquatic blue cotton candy smell I mentioned before.

To me, this is the perfect summer scent for anyone who loves cotton candy like perfumes because while it is sweet, it’s also fresh. I don’t think it would be offensive to most people either, as while I was wearing it to dinner tonight, several of my family members commented on how great I smelled, and that doesn’t happen very often. So, I say if you’re a fan of the other Fantasies and you see this at a low price, pick it up.

Lindsconn

This is a fresh, sweet (but not cloying) blue raspberry fragrance! Suitable for night and day any time of the year. This is fun, young and one of my favourites by Britney! For a celebrity scent the performance is actually really good!

Not_a_perfume_junkie

Beautiful summer perfume !

Katiestark

This perfume was a bit of a pleasant surprise! I got it for about $13 on fragrance net. It’s an aquatic lotus version of the original fantasy which I’m not mad about. The bad thing that comes with this perfume is that I read a couple reviews after buying a bottle of it and someone said it’s smells like there’s a bit of lead in it. After I read that review I could easily point out the lead note and it kind of disappointed me. Hopefully,I will forget that someone said that there is a lead note in there so I can enjoy it like I did the first time I smelled it but I still like it.

Sweetfemme

I smelled it on someone and it was a fresh slightly sweet floral but on me it’s lemon cleaner that’s cheap smelling.

This perfume needs to be sniffed without comparison to the other Fantasies out there.

It is simply stunning if you just forget about Original, midnight fantasy etc. They have nothing in common and if you like fruits and gourmands then this will disappoint you for sure.

It is a beautiful blend that stands on its own two feet. Incredibly feminine. Powdery violets, apricot, something zingy and lemony. It's got a very bright and happy vibe and everyone who smells it on me has good associations with it. I think I need to stock up; so worried all the time about things getting discontinued left right and centre...

blackoutinthezone

I'm not sure why some people thinks it smells sweet. FANTASY smells sweet, but this smells more floral. There is a slight tang in its scent. I personally absolutely love this. It's definitely more mature compared to Fantasy. Out of all the Fantasy collection, so far (haven't tested all of them yet) I think this and Hidden Fantasy are both 'mature-esque' scents (this is of course completely subjective). As a 22 year old, yes I could wear this as a daily scent.

Anyways, #FreeBritney, if you're going to buy any Britney perfumes, please do try to purchase from re-sellers (e-bay, poshmark, depop, vinted, shpock etc.), and if you don't mind, used bottles. Until Britney is free, don't give your money to fund her horrible father, Lou Taylor and other people benefitting from the conservatorship.

Roses1357

This was love at first sniff. Bought this 10ish years ago when it first came out, and it's still a go-to during the summer months. I don't find it to be too sweet at all; has balance between the notes. I smell sweet florals, with a hint of a masculine powdery scent, in a good way. For the longest time, I couldn't put my finger on what the top note really was, but like others have mentioned, it is completely a sugary-lemon (like a sugar-rimmed lemon drop Martini; not sour lemon). I do have to say the first bottle I had of this seemed slightly different / bolder (color of the bottle, and the juice), so not sure if by the time I needed a new bottle there was a reformulation or small design change. Either way, I adore this.

glitterfalls84

I had received a couple of bottles of this perfume when it originally came out. They were perfumes that I quickly went through and this is the first time I've used it in years. I wasn't too surprised when I unboxed the fragrance and saw that "Circus" era Britney had been stripped off the inside of the box. Other than than Britney's picture being missing, the box looks pretty much the same.

I was definitely relieved that this perfume is more of a naturally sweet smelling raspberry compared to I Am Juicy Couture that smells synthetic to me and it's another one of those perfumes that sits on the back of the perfume shelf and is barely touched because it's just not one of my favorites. Juicy Couture definitely has better smelling perfumes than that one so don't let me scare anybody off from that brand. The sweet raspberry is honestly the only thing that my nose can pick up. I can't wait to see if the hotter weather allows some of the other notes to shine.

The bottle is beautiful. It's the typical Fantasy type bottle. It's a lovely shade of blue and has red "gems" that really make the bottle stand out.

redcapricorn

This is my first Fantasy perfume, and also my first celebrity perfume. I decided to take a chance on it because I thought the bottle was so pretty and the price was right. I like this, but I can't say that I love it yet. For me, this is a sweet aquatic. It has that fresh, blue, just slightly masculine edge, combined with lemony candy. At first, I didn't care for it at all, but after I tried it a few times, it struck me as a nice summer or beach fragrance; and that's what I'm saving it for. This perfume could also be read as "youthful," and maybe it's too young for me at 40, but I'm going to wear it during the warm months this year. I doubt I will buy it again, but I could see a younger woman enjoying this one all year. Lastly, I don't think the name fits the scent. "Circus Fantasy" makes me think of candy apples at night, and this is more like "Mermaid Fantasy" to my nose.

PiperOK31

This was a blind buy and I'm going to send it back. I love the original Fantasy but this smells like some tropical febreeze or bathroom air freshener. Just not the same quality and smells more suitable for a 12-year-old.

yuuyavel

Quite envious of anyone who gets anything other than florals from this. I was definitely expecting something sweet and fruity (especially after reading the reviews), but on me it just smells of flowers and more flowers. I still like it, it's quite a clean and fresh scent. Definitely more mature than what people may think of with Britney scents.
If you, like me, enjoy the more "juvenile" sweet and fruity smells, this may not be for you. But as floral scents go, it's pleasant!

Aaaareee

This is not as sweet as the other Fantasies, it's a little fresher and lighter than those. Great for summer and spring. I really like it.

natalia6032

This is very pleasant- not as sweet as I expected from reviews. It has a mildly aquatic character, like a very toned down Cool Water, especially in the opening. It then mellows into a pleasant salty lemony scent, but it's definitely not gourmand. I got it for a steal (£5 for 30 ml) and I wear it at home when I fancy something easy and relaxing. It's nothing complex or distinctive, but perfectly nice and easy to wear.

Kristi132

I don't normally write reviews on here, but with this one I'm going to do my best. This one right now is my favorite. It's strong in its opening but eases into a light airy scent almost like being fresh out of a shower. I love when the water lily notes hit, it almost reminds me of sitting in my mommas kitchen while she did laundry that light fresh beautiful scent. I don't get much sweet notes tho but it's okay. It seems to balance so well. After about 30 minutes the smell of being in a forest just hit me. I think that was the wood notes. It was like standing in a watery forest. This has so far been my all time fav out of what I have tried so far of hers. This one may be my all time fav even when I own all them.

HannahJeanette

I wanted to like this so bad! But all I got was kind of a tart raspberry lemonade in the opening then dried to to a dryer sheet smell on my skin, I didn’t get much sweetness or violet candy as I expected.

perfumeloverforever

Wow one of the reviewers below has taken the words right out of my mouth. This does smell like cool waters these days, so either that’s a great thing or a bad thing to each individual.

I remember when this first came out and I personally much prefer the original formula.

Circus Fantasy used to smell like a fairytale raspberries and apricot and phantom lemon (even though lemon wasn’t ever a note) lemonade fizzy pop juice that faded to clean florals and finally finishing with violet candy.

The new formula just isn’t giving me that anymore. The new bottle I have picked up smelled like Cool Waters but I would say in the men’s version. But at the same time having the signature Circus fantasy still floating around back and forth in the background.

I did notice a nice dry down on material after a couple of days that was reminiscent of the original formula ( which was a nice surprise)

So to sum it up if you are like me and want the originals to stay that way this a massive disappointment. On the other hand if you like Cool Waters this would be a great alternative. Personally I would label this a masculine perfume these days. Depends on the person, could be a good thing or a bad thing!

fyetan

Sweet candy lemon on top of some soapy florals. Easy to wear but not super unique.

xx2901

This is so lovely. I believe this is more grown up fantasy, something that was created for young adult. I wore it for nights out and it got me compliments. At first it's sort of fruity sorbet, I get apricot notes and some aquatic chillness. When I tried it first time, I thought about Cool Water with fruits. It really has that kind of cologne undertone under soft sophisticated fruity sweetness.

theperfumemaniac

Very fresh, easy to wear fragrance.

Smells like sweet candy in a refreshing way, not gourmand. I really recommend it for someone who wants a refreshing and sweet fragrance that isn’t overpowering. Also, the bottle looks beautiful in a dresser wow.

spiceboy2109

I love this fragrance. It smells like the chocolate bar Turkish Delight but even sweeter! It’s so cheap and worth it!

Patricia888

I was on a "expedition" to Britney Spears fragrances. I have now tried most and own many. I bought a 100ml bottle of this as a fun, sweet, exciting thing as this sounded a lot of fun. I cannot say this disappointing me, in fact I quite like it but it has this strange sour undertone in all that sweetness which makes it a bit strange (not that strange is a bad thing). I had really high hopes for this one and hoped to love it but on 3rd try I will not include it into my collection as this gets a mere like from me.

TooRich

I got this for my grade school daughter. When I sprayed it on her it smells very sweet, candy sweet. Then there was no smell. I thought I got a bad batch, but after about 4 hours I smelled her again, and she smelled great. It seems like this needs your body heat to warm it up and get the smell going. It doesn’t project well, but if you get up close it smells fantastic. Definitely a summer scent for younger girls. I would buy this again if it is on sale again.

Colibriviolet

This is a nice inexpensive candy fresh floral scent. It smells like fruity dryer sheets. Long lasting and just fun to wear on a summer's day. It is one that you can put on to run errands or anything casual.

AngelBritney

This smells like a sweet, bad hairspray to me.
Sillage is ok, longevity is 6-8 hours.

I wear it when:
I want to go out (daytime) and I don't care about the fragrance.

I won't purchase this Fantasy perfume again.
Even though I love the bottle.

LeVitrail

Freshly squeezed lemonade in a pitch standing outside with some flowers that have fallen into it. Quite plesant in summer time

Anna Maky

What a lovely surprise this is! Its a lighter but fantasy-like, watery surprise in a beautiful bottle. Its my favorite from all fantasies. I love sugary apricots and watery accent inside.♥

powederedoranges

Ooooh, this is an underrated beauty! Easily the best Fantasy flanker IMO. When I first sprayed it I thought "Oh no! This is much too fresh and juicy!" but this develops into a warm, sweet, fuzzy blanket of a scent. It feels like a cashmere blanket made of marshmallow and sugared berries, all while somehow not being too sweet or overpowering. It's less sickly sweet than the original Fantasy, which although delicious can get "a bit much." I do wish the sillage was a bit better, but it's cheap enough (30mL bottle for $10AUD) that I don't mind overspraying.

lemonjasmine

I recently went on a kick and bought five different editions of Fantasy - Circus, Intimate, Hidden, Midnight, and Sunset.

Of the five, Circus has the lightest and freshest scent. I get candy, a hint of raspberry, musk, and heavy powder. I like this one, but I don't love powder-heavy scents.

It is very light. Maybe I got a weak reformulation, but it's almost completely gone within 15-30 minutes.

I'll definitely use up the rest of my bottle, but I don't think I'd rebuy it. The sillage and longevity are so poor that it's almost a dealbreaker, and ultimately, the powdery notes aren't for me.

EDIT: I saw someone on here say they used this as a room spray - I've started doing that recently and I have to say the longevity is a LOT better than on my skin! The powder doesn't smell quite as strong when used on fabrics. Love to just spray this on my bed, carpet, or into my ceiling fan.

unsrsly

I had this in middle school and used it up and couldn’t find it again in stores. I have been getting into the Fantasy line and bought it again for nostalgic purposes. Wow it’s so pretty! Very fruity and sweet with a bit of floral mixed in. I get lemon, raspberry, candy and peony. Smells very similar to what a sour patch kid tastes like. It’s really fun and fresh and summery. There is nothing super unique or deep about it but it’s a really good time and I think most people would find it very pleasant!

Seaworthy

I recently purchased this Circus fragrance. It was my first Brittany Spears fragrance purchase. Although the fragrance is not bad, it's nothing unique to my nose either. I was expecting something sweeter. The most disappointing thing about this fragrance to me is the lack of longevity. I mean it's gone, totally gone on my skin within 15 minutes. Very disappointing. I like the bottle actually, looks good on the vanity.

March 2021
I stopped trying to make this fragrance work for me. Abysmal performance on my skin. I gave it to my daughter and she complains that the performance (lasting) is not good for her skin either. My favorites from Brittany are Prerogative, Private Show and VIP Private show. Much better performance and I love the fragrances.

spritzedsilly2

Pretty little perfume for the spring and summer. Sparkly and sweet. Very inexpensive. Love it !

AnitaHendricks

This perfume isn't that bad at all. I didn't expect much but it's quite nice. It would be great on a teenager or a sweet girl!

timimi08

Bought it because of the lotus notes mentioned n reviews here. It's fresh and strangely I had a few compliments and in winter. Specially from someone who never notices my perfumes so for the price of you can give it a try. Personally I tend to smell it more than the pink one. If fresh and the comforting and sensual

Moonstone777

This is my new favorite perfume. It was a blind buy. I have a few of Britney’s Fantasy perfumes and I really love them all. I am no fan of floral and powdery scents because they give me headaches so I was pleased to find that I don’t smell either of those notes in Circus. On me it smells of warm, creamy, sugared citrus with other deeper notes I can’t quite place. I love that there is no harsh chemical notes in this perfume and it smells high end. The bottle is gorgeous but to match the scent I think it should have been a creamy yellow. Definitely a unique and delicate scent that lasts a very long time!

LunaAnanda12

To me this scent smells like sweet lemon juice in a very gentle way. I really love this scent it reminds of her Circus Tour when they were giving away samples of this and the entire stadium smelled of it. I fell in love instantly since then and up until now I still love it. This scent is sweet powdery and lemony.

duckiescents

A friend of mine gave me this perfume a 30ml bottle in 2009, this was my second Britney perfume. Since then I have bought two 100ml bottles. My first Britney perfume was Curious bought in March 2005. Curious was the first perfume I ever had, I was in high school at the time, and a very big fan of Britney, I had all of her albums. I also seen her live during her Vegas Piece of Me Residency. The current bottle that I bought was from Fragrancenet, and the batch code is L6KA1 made in August 2016. To me Circus Fantasy is a great Summer time perfume. This perfume is just the right amount of sweetness, and floral, there is a good balance to this perfume. I think Britney's perfumes are the best celebrity perfumes. I can really smell the vanilla on this new bottle that I got, compared to my old bottles I couldn't smell the vanilla as much. The orchid, peony, and vanilla blend so well together, with sugar in the background as well as the apricot blossom. I do get a lemon vibe as well, but I think it's due to the sugar. If you are having a bad day wear this perfume, and it will make you feel better, this is a happy perfume, like liquid sunshine.

checkman04

Clean, crisp, juicy, tart are good ways to describe this one.
Describing it as blue raspberry or raspberry lemonade is perfect! Although it does have some light floral in there.
I bought Circus Fantasy as a blind buy for $19.99 because I absolutely love and have Fantasy and Midnight Fantasy. However, to my surprise this doesn’t smell like it has the “Fantasy” DNA at all. I also find both F and MF last quite a long time, have great silage, and I always get compliments from men and women for them, but this one is opposite.
I haven’t had anyone compliment me on it and I can’t smell it after even 15 minutes of spraying it on my wrist and neck. It does last decently long on clothing though. I sprayed it on a t shirt last night and put it on today and can smell it still VERY faintly but still there.
I’ll be using this as a “bedtime” fragrance and won’t be buying again.

sydneychantelle

I had been searching for Circus Fantasy since I had enjoyed Midnight Fantasy and used to have a girlfriend who would wear it and I would ask to borrow it. What I had remembered as a sweet gourmand surprised me by being more floral and more like a sweet peony scent. It is almost as if Midnight Fantasy has only the sweet note of Fantasy and CF only the floral parts of Fantasy. I can't wait to wear this on warm summer nights.

Linda JK

Years ago, my first Britney Spears perfume was "Midnight Fantasy" (birthday present). I liked it but did not truly appreciate it at the time and gave it away.

I recently purchased "Fantasy" and "Circus Fantasy" given my recent obsession with sweet fragrances and just LOVE both. I love Fantasy more, it's an iconic scent.

Circus Fantasy is a beauty-- it's fun, clean, fruity and sweet. Overall it's a pleasant, uplifting scent that's perfect for Spring and Summer, though I can see myself using it year-round since it just makes me happy. There's nothing like using a sweet fragrance on a cold, dull winter day to lift your spirits.

Describing this perfume as "juicy" is pretty accurate. It opens with a nice fruity/berry blast. I can definitely smell the violet, orchid and peony notes, but thankfully, the orchid is not as distinct as is the case with my other frags that carry the orchid note. This is not a bad thing in my opinion-- orchid can be quite strong, which would not be good for a sweet fragrance like Circus Fantasy. So I'm okay with the orchid hanging back.

The dry-down is clean and floral, but unlike Fantasy, has a distinct citrus note that is somewhat sharp as compared to the sweet, creamy, smoothness of Fantasy's dry down. I found myself repeatedly sniffing my wrist, so I prefer to spray Circus on my top to extend its longevity.

Sillage and longevity are not good, which is a shame. I guess over time they've been messing with her perfumes and watering them down because those who bought them at department stores as opposed to online stores indicate that they are stronger and pretty much have all-day (or close to) sillage and longevity.

Well, I bought the 100 ml flanker which allows me to re-spray without worrying about my body chemistry transforming the scent into a nasty, cloying smell by the end of the day. That's the beauty of the Britney fragrances I have tried so far-- if I can respray the fragrance (which I generally don't like to do) and they still smell clean and fresh, then that's a winner in my books, given the cheaper price-point.

I sprayed both the Fantasy and Circus Fantasy on my wrists and can say this:

1) Assuming you like sweet fragrances, both are a safe blind buy. I bought these without testing them following reviews here and YouTube. If you're not keen on sweet frags but are still curious, find a way to test them before you buy.

2) If I had to pick between the two for a repurchase, it would hands down be "Fantasy". I don't see myself repurchasing Circus Fantasy just because I prefer the sweeter dry down in Fantasy.

3) During the cold months, I spray Circus on my skin and clothing. In warmer months, I will only spray it on my clothing. Heat enhances a fragrance and given some of the notes in Circus, I wouldn't risk spraying it on my skin as it may become cloying. If you use a really light hand with e.g., Fantasy on your skin during the hot months, it's beautiful.

Starlight_moon

This is a cute somewhat sweet floral fragrance, but if I didn’t know I would have never thought that this one comes from the Fantasy family. With other Fantasy spin-offs fragrances, you still are able to tell since that heavy luscious sweetness is what makes Fantasy Fantasy, but with this one I didn’t get that.
It’s still a nice fresh fragrance, good for warm days, but at the same time it doesn’t stand out and just unrecognizable.

Zosiasbear

I bought this because I got a deal on multiple Britney perfumes. I chose this one based on reviews here. I believe that this is a youthful scent and perfect for a teen. It really does smell like those blue raspberry slushees you get that turns your tongue, teeth, and lips blue. It's breezy flirty but not a lot of staying power on skin. Definitely worth the current pricing on it and has the cutest box of all of them. I wouldn't have said "circus" as much as carnival as the name. It's a cool midway drink on a hot summer night.

Elreno22

Bought this on EBay for a nice price as a lark. Not as sweet as I feared. Has fruity notes that make it enjoyable and wearable. Sometimes a little fun fragrance can make a day more fun.

Tigi

HOLY MOLY is this gorgeous is my first impression!!! I just received this blind-buy today and it's just love at first sniff. This one IS very fresh, in a gorgeous floral, crisp way that isn't shrill or biting in the least as the sweetness the Fantasy line is known for is absolutely holding this composition together, gently in the background at the opening and growing more prominent as dry-down progresses.
Like I mentioned this is first-impressions, but I'll come back to edit after a full day of wear to include sillage, longevity, projection. So far:
Fragrance: easy 9/10, it's unique yet familiar and something is so adorable about her. The notes pyramids are NOTHING alike however I can't help but notice that this and VS Very Sexy Hot smell a LOT alike.
Value: No-brainer fantastic! Seriously this massive 100ml bottle was just under $20 USD.
Bottle: 9/10 the orangey-red crystals in classic orb in a pale shade of blue is a definite 'yes' for this magpie!

Edit 2/21/19:
Performance: 5
I do wish this lasted longer; the opening burst is fresh and beautiful, the heart ripe and juicy, the base sweet and warming but fleeting! That OR I'm becoming anosmic/ acclimated to it during wear. I find that after 3-4 hours I crave to re-apply though I can still smell it when I put my nose up to my wrist or sniff the inside of my blouse. I'd say the sillage is soft to moderate at best (depending on application).

cookygirl

Rastamama, I feel the same way.
This is my teen DD's signature scent and I love it on her.
It's totally something I could wear myself.
It has that 'blue' edge that I seek out in fragrances.
Not sure which of the notes on the pyramid create this effect but it is very appealing to me.
Love walking into her room after she's sprayed it.
Good staying power too.

Melissa_T

This has been on my want list for quite awhile. This seemed like a summer scent to me so I kinda put off buying it. I was given the opportunity to order a bunch of perfumes and I absolutely had to get at least 1 Britney. I started collecting her fragrances but got sidetracked by JLo... lol.

Anyways... This smells incredible!!! I absolutely love Circus Fantasy. I can't understand the lack of love for this one... it seems to be her least popular fantasy. To me it reminds me of blue raspberry candy. Or blue lemonade. It's definitely a tangy berry and sugar. I sense lemon in this but it's not listed in the notes. There's the softness of the peony and a touch of violet. Vanilla peaks through afterwards. Very slight, soft almost skin musk upon dry down. Sweet, zesty and almost aquatic. This is very clean, fresh fruity scent.

I can definitely see this being my go-to scent once the weather warms up. I have a few of Britney's frags and I think she does an incredible job on them. The bottles are adorable and the packaging/advertising is always impressive.

Circus Fantasy is a 10/10!

rastamama

My daughter who is a teen wears this. Every time she puts it on my house smells wonderful wherever she walks. Her room holds the scent for hours and after 12 hours I can still smell it on her. It has a sweet scent yes, but there’s almost something spicy there too that balances it out and makes it wearable for an older person as well. So I wouldn’t say this is strictly a teen scent. This is one of my favorite Brittany scents. Midnight is nice but candy sweet, and Maui has a fresh tropical fruit scent which is really nice, but Circus is just so different to me. If my daughter didn’t wear it, I’d definitely purchase a bottle for myself. If you want something sweet, spicy and different Circus would be a safe blind buy.

IkuraGirl

As a devotee of Amor Amor, I admit to being intrigued by the comparisons between the juices. Already reluctantly but happily converted by Midnight Fantasy to the Britney Perfume Kingdom, nobody had to twist my arm to blind buy Circus Fantasy—particularly because I was ready to believe this could be an impressive dupe to one of my favourite perfumes. Verdict? It’s not.

Granted, in that first initial spray, Circus Fantasy opens with a very familiar tangy citrus and berry mix that I definitely appreciate has some likeness to Amor Amor. But from that point on, Amor Amor develops into creamier, smoother musky fruity floral notes whereas Circus Fantasy retains a powdery tang right into the 3 hour mark. And speaking of longevity—commendable, given the price point. Though Midnight Fantasy delivers a solid 7-8 hours of potency on my skin (wait till I tell you the story about this guy who comes into my work for his “Midnight Fantasy” fix—I kid you not!)

For myself, Circus Fantasy offers a fruity base that I’ll build on with other fragrances. Note that today, after a very liberal application, a lady stopped me and asked me what perfume I was wearing. She said that I smelled “amazing.” People, I’ll take that compliment and run, with thanks to Circus Fantasy.

Peace Out.

Alces Alces

I love the way Circus Fantasy smells and the way it makes me feel. I reviewed it a while back, but wanted to reiterate how much fun this one is. Fresh and sweet and not too heavy.

Smells great. Is it a well-composed classic or expensive smelling inaccessible niche? Heck no. Just cheap and fun and happy. Not everything has to be serious or sensual. Perfect for one of those days when you are outside doing something fun or just wish you were.

simplegeek

The Bottle:
It's looks like the original, but blue and orange I like the colors together but doesn't scream "Circus" like her album. The color on her album is redish orangeish and gold and has a little bit of blue. It's a very nice bottle and great for someone who collects bottles.

Inside the bottle:
Fresh, tart, sweet are the words to describe this perfume. When you first spray you smell the raspberry, apricot blossom, sugar. When it dries you get a hint of vanilla, florals & wood.Longevity is pretty good will last most of the day, but a few hours in you can tell it will gets more closer to the skin.

Overall:
This perfume is great for people who enjoy fresh/sweet/tart scent. If your a raspberry lover this would be the one to get. Great for someone starting to wear perfume or someone who is sensitive.

catwoman408

I love the name, the bottle, the price, and the initial scent. After a couple minutes, though, the brilliant tropical candy scent is turning into a scent that reminds me of a (very clean) Port-o-potty.

Sabretoothkitten

Cute perfume, not a bad scent...dumbest name ever! I get it she meant to allude to mysterious acrobats, dancers and risque fun but let's be honest when you think of " circus" you think, creepy carnies, peanuts, sweaty swarthy guys in stripes and smelly elephants.
Maybe she should have called it " Fairy Blossom Fantasy". Just wondering if that's why it's one of the least popular of Brittneys line. I had it a few years ago can't find it these days.

moni_moni

In perfumes you can feel the flowers mixed with raspberry and sugar. The aroma is a bit sweet, light, fresh and refreshing. Simply perfect for hot summer days! : D at the beginning you can feel citrus, which are not here but only for a moment. It is not a sweet, sugary and refined smell. He will not pass out and his head will not hurt him. I am impressed and I feel that it will be my favorite holiday perfume :)

greyhoundmom

Circus Fantasy is a pretty, light, and somewhat fleeting scent. I may just be anosmic to it but it seems I have to really douse myself in this one in order to smell it.. and it doesn't last long. It's still an enjoyable scent, though. Fresh and sweet at the same time and it smells very much like the blue cotton candy you get at the fair (or the circus!) and I suppose that is what Britney was going for with this one.

This is a great casual scent for a hot day. It disappears altogether in the cold. If you want a non-pervasive, sheer and sugary fragrance, this is a great little bargain. The bottle is super pretty as well.

lailabellemakeup

This one surprised me. I'm sad that the opportunity was missed to do a cute cotton candy scent buuuuut I have to say I'm surprised by how much I like this one. I smell the raspberry and flowers, but the raspberry isn't sickly sweet (like, midnight fantasy smells synthetically sweet to me, this one is more "fresh"). I own midnight fantasy, rocker femme, and regular fantasy and I have to say of those, Circus Fantasy is my favorite so far. I'd say 8/10 for me.

al820129

I find this the most appealing Fantasy because of versatility. Circus Fantasy reacts on everyone differently and is different in each season therefore you can find so diverse reviews here. Someone says it's candy and next review says it's fresh.

I think there is nice combination of berries and cooling aquatic accord, maybe frozen berries? When it was released, I have tested it in shop and thought "Wow it smells like Cool Water with sweets!" Since then I keep repurchasing it. Time goes by, but this type of scent still popular.

apple_melon

I love it! A happy lemony scent!
Do try this if you're into sweet citrusy scent
The silage is not that good, but I'm happy to add this baby to my collection!
:)

akramps

This is my first review, I wanted to clarify the packaging issues.

I bought this blind for $15 for 100ml and though I find the opening quite abrasive and bug-spray like, it settles down to a bright, sharp, lemonade and blue raspberry-ish scent. The longevity is almost non-existent for me. The silage is ok. I enjoy this scent but for me it feels like body spray. And I wish I could smell the powder and softness because I only get the top notes here.

As for the packaging, my bottle was recently produced (2017) and there is no photo of Britney on the inside. I found an older bottle last week and Britney graces the inside, I sampled this bottle and found the scent is the same. The only difference I found is this Britney on the inside bottle last around 2 hours on my skin, whereas my bottle lasts maybe 30-45 minutes.

So maybe not worth hunting down an older bottle, as they do smell the same to my nose!

Sailor Pluto

When I tried this today, I immediately thought it was a twin of Calvin Klein's Downtown perfume (without the incense)! It is sweet with a pink pepper note to it (although not listed). I like it!

blueshinyice

Has the formula changed? I recently blind bought this and it smells very citrusy and lemony? It doesn't smell very sweet but only a little. But I love the cute bottle.

update: About an hour later, the fragrance settled, it no longer smells citrusy and lemony but sweet and I can smell the vanilla and a bit of powder! Wow I really like it now!!!

n87

It opens with sweet candy notes, drying down into a fresh fruity scent. I don't get any vanilla or musk. It's an average scent, same with sillage and longevity. Not something i'd buy again, but not bad either.

Tasali

Somehow the smell of this makes me happy. It is so special and I have never smelt anything like it before. It lasts long on me and radiates a lot

ladyjm89

The bottle is so darned pretty! I really wanted to like this one but I can't. It's not an awful scent, it's mildly pretty. It's also boring, bland, watery.....forgettable. Sillage is moderate, longevity very weak! I mean, I have body sprays that last longer. None of the fruity notes or anything really pops out here, it's just a mish-mash of smells that doesn't end too well. Definitely not Brit's best. This one wears like an EDT, but it's not nearly as nice as some of her other EDT'S.

dilqna

Nothing special at all .This is like a kids perfume.i don't recommend one of her worst perfumes. Its a poor combination between fantasy and fantasy intimate plus a bubble gum smell, very unsuccesfull .Don't waste your money.

HeavyBeatsUK

I hoped for a fruity floral reminiscent of shampoo but this smells more like an aerosol body spray the kids at school might have used. It's weak like a modern body spray too.

Alces Alces

Circus Fantasy cheers me. It's sweet but not as heavy as the other Fantasies. Serious perfumistas may turn their noses up at Britney's fragrances, yet it's their loss. Circus Fantasy is a lot of fun and offers an optimistic scent. It's the olfactory equivalent of a pink polka dotted sweater.

Mostly I get apricot blossom, vanilla sweetness, peony, and a little raspberry* with slight powdery musk. It's different from her other Fantasies. In fact, it reminds me of Miss Madison (Brooks Brothers) more than anything. Not identical, but that fruity apricot blossom prevails in both scents. It seems to have pink pepper, but that's not listed. I love it.

Footnote:* for maximum raspberry effect, try Armaf Italiano Vivo. Not sure what they were trying to clone, but they achieved raspberry saturation with that one - also recommended.

adamspira

I was very fortunate enough to find a bottle of Circus Fantasy after looking almost everywhere for it for almost a year. Here in Australia they seemed to discontinue this lovely fragrance as no store seems to sell it anymore. They even had gift sets for this fragrance at Myer and Target yet they all just vanished without a trace. I'm very happy now that I got my hands on a bottle!

The fragrance is sweet, super sweet. It definitely smells of raspberry. Many on here saying it's supposed to smell like "blue raspberry" but having no idea what that is suppose to smell like to me it just smells like raspberry. It has a candy aspect to it which smells nice also...almost like a hard candy mint smell. The longevity is average, which is probably what came with the new reformulated bottles as I remember borrowing my friend's old Circus Fantasy perfume a long time ago and knowing the longevity/sillage of this fragrance was very strong.

Another reason why I really wanted a bottle of this is how Britney dedicated this perfume to her Circus album era. Obviously one of the greatest albums from her in my opinion, so the fragrance I wanted as well. I love this perfume just as much as the Circus album and now that it's summer here in Australia I cannot wait to wear this one more often on the hotter days!

I rate this perfume a 7/10, I'm obsessed over the circus-themed packaging. The bottle is super pretty with it's pearly blue with ruby red rhinestones. The smell of this perfume makes my mouth water just as much as the packaging does. I'm a sucker for sweet scents, so if you are the same I would definitely recommend purchasing this fragrance. If not, avoid this perfume at all costs as it could potentially be sickeningly sweet for some.

Firstly, I love this edition of the fantasy bottle, all its little rubies are gorgeous!
Onto smell, this perfume will make you smile, it's a very happy go lucky fragrance that you'd enjoy most in the spring, feel like this could be a Marc Jacobs Daisy flanker. It starts with the apricot blossom but soon turns completely violet candy and soapy on me, it's airy, and a clean scent, I can really pick out the water lily and musk later on. I honestly wouldn't say I think of the circus when I smell this, a field of flowers more so. If you want a Britney perfume that smells soapy, then this is your girl!

This scent is fresh, aquatic, tart, and powdery. The violet/sugar cube/raspberry/waterlily notes are center stage. It is candied violets and tart raspberries floating on waterlily. I think anybody and any age could wear this perfume and not take offense to it. If you love violets and/or waterlily, then, this one is for you! Good perfume at a great price.

WhiteVelvet

This is a really nice powdery scent on me.
Lasts a long time for me too. I Like it.
Sweet as well, but not too sweet.

I really wanted to like this one, but I just can´t!
A lot of alcohol, not sweet at all. Musky and boozy. It almost smelled a little bit "dry". I don´t know if that makes any sense, but i do not smell any of the sweet notes in this one. It´s almost masculine actually.

RATE: 2/10

To me, this is the fall of the fantasy line.

A mistake, really. I guess it's just so far off base from Fantasies previous productions, something different perhaps that would suit younger girls, or women who weren't fond of Britney's super sweet offerings. But it's definitely not my type of scent.

Oddly, I do get the comparisons to raspberry lemonade. But it's fresh rather..only mildly sweet. Like a straight sugar sweetness. . Quite reminiscent of dryer sheets at times. Kinda sour. Ugh. But at least it has good longevity and silage like its predecessors.
Indeed a very fresh, clean, spring time smell.

I got a 1oz of this and hidden fantasy included with my big bottle of my fave In control curious. So obviously, I'm more partial to sweet gourmands, which This is not. But I can still appreciate other perfume genres. This, however, just isn't much to be appreciated IMO...

If you're expecting something scrummy like Fantasy , this is not it.

Don't like this stuff at all. Maybe because its Fall and everything changes scent in the Seasons. But I don't like it but i will revisit this in the Spring again, miracles do happen. LOL But I do love Fantasy to stay on the "Positive" side of things.

Love Circus Fantasy. My love for this perfume began back at the end of 2013 when I bought a bottle of this for my mum for Christmas. Younger me bought it because I liked the smell of the perfume and just assumed my mum would like it because I liked it. Man was I wrong.

Circus Fantasy is a very different fragrance to the rest of the Fantasy flankers in my opinion. The others in the Fantasy line are usually always a sugary sweet sugar bomb (which I love btw), where this one starts off with a very sharp citrus opening (despite citrus not being listed as a note?). That combined with the woody note does give it a fresh earthy note to begin with, which is what I think others have described saying it opens up smelling masculine or unisex.

My skin amplifies the wood note, so compared to it smelling like a fair grounds as others have described, I get a woody, citrus fragrance with hints of sweet raspberry and floral notes. This woody note on me only lasts the first half an hour or so until I begin to get more of the florals and sweet candy that you would expect of the Fantasy line. At this stage I would compare the scent to raspberry lemonade.

Dry down kicks in shortly after the middle notes and I just get a sweet vanilla.

Projection is decent. Upon the initial spray, you can smell it being sprayed and can smell it clearly because of the sharp citrus and woody opening but other then that, it becomes a very faint skin scent very quickly and doesn't last long. Re applications are a must with the perfume.

This perfumes lasting power sucks (sorry Britney) but I still love it none the less. I just reapply liberally it begins to wear off. At $12 for a 30ml bottle you can't go wrong. The scent is lovely and one of my favorite from the Fantasy flankers. I did score a half full tester bottle for $5 from one of my friends who works in one of the perfume stores where I live. They were selling tester bottles and there was a 100ml bottle of Circus which was half used. Considering it is incredibly hard to find bottles larger then 30mls I had to grab it.

Don't expect anything very high end out of this fragrance. You do get what you pay for it. Its a very casual fragrance and nothing overly special other then how much I enjoy the smell of it.

WhiteVelvet

I really like all of Britney's perfumes.
This one is powdery, one of my favorites.

I found this gem today at an Elizabeth Arden store for just Ten bucks!!! I have smelled it before and wanted it but it was too pricey. I got the big 3.4fl bottle. She smells yummy on me. I kinda get the masculinity vibe but I also smell sweetness there so it works for me. Not to heavy sort of a light sweet musky vanilla and citrus scent. I like it. Lasts about 3 hours. Reapply when needed.

I own almost every single Britney Fantasy perfume and this one is odd. It can't seem to make up its mind about what type of scent it is. It starts off smelling very strongly of lemon and orange/apricot. It is almost a unisex fragrance at that point. That does not last long before the florals kick in and it begins to smell like a dead ringer for Viva la Juicy minus the caramel note. I kept smelling my arm, wondering where I smelled the exact scent before. It suddenly hit me it smelled just like my Viva la Juicy I save for special date nights. I think it is the mixture of all the florals with the citrus. After an hour or so it seems to morph again into a semi aquatic floral that reminds me of Curious and then stays that way on me until it fades. It is one of the oddest perfumes I own and for that reason, I would not buy it again. I have certain scents I will reach for if I want floral, fruits, sweet etc but this is a combo of them all. I don't hate it but it is just strange.

Can't pass the opportunity to talk about Britney's fragrances. CF is the most surprising in the Fantasy line. Starts with a clearcut sweet apricot preserves scent but ends with an exquisite (well, almost exquisite) combination of airy sweet florals and pleasant woods. In the drydown could pass for a designer perfume. I wear it in the holiday winter, early spring and in hot summer. It cheers me up. It'll have different vibes depending on the season. The quality stays the same - very decent.

Mrs.Allard

A fun and flirty raspberry and candy scent that has a retro vibe to it. Yes it has a slight masculinity to it but I feel like that is exactly what makes this fragrance just a little bit different than the masses of fruity floral celebrity cheapies. It's by no means a heavy cologne note, just a subtle suggestion towards unisex. This fragrance is not serious at all and I don't think anyone should take this one too seriously, and just love the powder blue bottle with the bright red gemstones.

HelenaZ

Very weak. I am one for sillage and longevity and this unfortunately had neither. Fragrance is disappointing and is my least favorite of the fantasy flankers. I gave it to my sister because i decided there was no.use in throwing it away and as she goes to school she may appreciate the subtle scent.

adamspira

I can't find this in any store! Was this mean't to be a limited edition? They use to have 100ml bottles everywhere and then it went down to only selling 30ml bottles and now they have disappeared! I remember smelling the tester of this ages ago and really enjoyed it. It's a synthetic fruity/candy perfume which is usually something I don't go for however this one smells quite good! Reminds me of 'Ribbon' from Mariah Carey's lollipop bling collection. Also being related to the 'Circus' album has really made me determined to find and buy this perfume as it's my favorite music from Britney ever.

Malibu

This is my least favourite from the Fantasy line, and is the only one which I dislike; Circus Fantasy is very musk heavy on me, which smothers most of the other scent notes. There is a sour citrus and unidentifiable floral undertone, which when mixed with the musk turns my stomach.

Circus Fantasy also has the worst longevity out of the Fantasy line - which I found strange, considering how overpowering the musk is on me. It goes close to the skin within the hour, and I struggle to detect anything within two/three hours.

I was gifted a bottle, but had to pass it on - the musky freshness to it doesn't agree with my body chemistry in the slightest, and made me feel ill.
