Boss Orange by Hugo Boss is a Floral fragrance for women. Boss Orange was launched in 2009. Top note is Red Apple; middle notes are African Orange Flower and White Flowers; base notes are Vanilla, Sandalwood and Olive Tree.

In July 2009, the house of Hugo Boss will launch a new fragrance Boss Orange, which will be presented by famous actress Sienna Rose Miller. The new fragrance arrives in a very interesting and modern orange flacon. Ingredients coming soon!

Besides acting, Sienna also does modeling and fashion design. She is famous by the roles in movies such as: Alfie, Factory Girl, The Edge of Love, as well as many others, including the TV movies The American Embassy, Bedtime, Keen Eddie. Sienna Miller was born in 1981 in New York, but she spent her childhood in London, England. She returned to collage to her birth city, where she went to the institute Lee Strasberg. In 2007, she won the EMA Futures Award, Environmental Media Awards.

Edition for women Boss Orange attracted our attention with its advertising face, actress Sienna Miller, which represents urban, natural, modern woman searching for a feminine fragrance, completing her spring image with cheerful aromas. Beautiful, intriguing, free, charismatic and spontaneous Boss woman is represented perfectly with aromas of new Boss Orange.

Top notes describe strong personality of a woman, her enthusiasm and energy. Notes of sweet apple reveal the first, delicate taste of feminine passions, adding a floral, soft and charming heart. White flowers, which are tame and gentle, are mixed with orange blossom, giving an optimistic impression. A base includes sandalwood, olive wood and creamy vanilla, which make the finish very characteristic, passionate and warm.

The flacon is very modern; it combines elements of metal and glass (orange glass stones). 7 identical, symbolic stones cut light and characterize 7 chakras, deeper spiritual dimensions. Stream of energy through human body is symbolically presented with design of the new Boss flacon.

The new fragrance Hugo Boss - Boss Orange is available as 30, 50 and 75ml EDT, with an accompanying perfumed body care line: 150 ml deo spray, 200 ml bath and 200 ml body lotion.

Smells like juicy organic orange dusted with powdery sugar - mixed up in a delicate soft way. You feel young and fresh like moving out of a shower. As the bottle and beautiful Sienna Miller suggets it’s uplifting, gently and youthful. Starts orangey fruity but becomes more white floral over the time. Lasting power could be better and it’s very close on the skin. But it‘s just so good!! Buy a bigger bottle - it’s available for a very good price.

Są bardzo słodkie i kojarzą mi się z latem. Świetnie pachną właśnie latem na rozgrzanej skórze. Jest to bardziej intymny zapach, będziesz go czuć przy skórze. Taki zapach na codzień :)

swedish_bluebell

If I could only wear one perfume for the rest of my life, this would be it! True love! 😍
A bit sharp for the first minute but after that soooo nice… delicate orangey vanilla. Sweet, like a gourmand light. So far I’ve only used it in fall and winter, I think it works well with cold temperatures and it will definitely be my Christmas fragrance this year.

jokcoy

Someone gave it to me as a gift when I was a teenager. Back then I didn't know much about perfumes. I just like the smell and better than my deodorant. An upgrade for my deodorant but I recently found out that this is for women and definitely if I have to say so myself. I wore it a lot because this is the only perfume I had when I was a 17 years old.

I don't know... I love me some apple perfumes -- Hermes Un Jardin sur le Toit, Swiss Arabian Valencia, and Donna Karan Be Delicious -- but Boss Orange does not work for me. I think it's something about the way apple and African orange blossoms play together; it comes off as extremely sweet and cloying and what I like about apples is how fresh, green, and almost mineral-ly, they smell (even red ones). So Boss Orange is a pass for me.

Miloshy

I've been using this since I was 18een and I'm now 30. I've bought probably 3-4 bottles until now. It's best for the spring and summer. It's juicy, fruity, lovely. Safe buy. I don't think anyone can dislike it.

Tinabill

I’ve had Boss Orange for more than ten years and I rarely reach for it. Today was unexpectedly hot so I thought I’d give it a shot but then I remembered why it was never a favorite. It starts sharp and synthetic, I thought no problem most modern perfumes do, but then it was so abstract, you feel it has some mishmash of fruits and flowers but you cannot pinpoint one, it was so lacking in character, and performance, more like a timid intern on the first day at work who wants to blend in, more so than the confident “boss” who stands out. But again I find that most HB products are office safe rather than unique; they rarely impress. The dry down is better, a bit creamy and woodsy vanilla but again nothing groundbreaking.

Skylakagetis

I am really surprised this perfume seems unpopular with a lot of people, I find it lovely and I can't imagine anyone finding it offensive but perhaps there are notes that smell very different depending on your scent receptor genetics!
I absolutely love it, it's soft and yet fresh, ever so creamy and smooth. The dry down is beautiful and creamy soft. Sweet, vanilla, orange blossom and lightly floral.
Reasonably priced, ok longevity but projection is low.
I got this when it first released in 2009 as I was about 17/18 and it was my signature scent for a few years, so I find it very nostalgic to that time in my life when I was young and carefree, and quite naive! It suits that image in my mind well. It suited that time well to wear at school and then at university during seminars and lectures when I wanted to smell clean, feminine and fresh but not overpower those in close proximity to me!
I've been wearing it again recently and I had forgotten how much I love it, it's such a lovely spring fragrance. I love wearing it with my spring wardrobe, filling me with hope for the warmer weather and approaching summer.

KAYAGIRL

dontno alot of the Boss range (please do message me with recomendations if you are) The only perfume by boss i have and know well is Boss Ma vie which i really love tho sadly doesnt last long on me. But i just tried this one today and so delicious i love it. Was a random buy and im super glad to have now in my collection. Doesnt smell totally orange btw so i do think a rename would have been cool. Love the bottle tho. very styleey haha

dglightblue

Definately shares the warm wool freshly washed not which that birbwrrybscent has..

I must have tried this scent over the years umpteen times..
Never liked it reeeally, smells spoiled, and synthetic.
Apple? Please.

I could go along with the orangey liqure ... it makes me recoil when initially Sprayed, I have to live with this one for a good half hour to hour on my skin.. then it's not too bad..

Now it's: warming, rounded, has that clean wool smell, and a faint and gentle orange oil (no leaves or pith) lequer..
Not boozy so much, the whole thing is gentle ish.

This is not a freshie, not a clean type scent as the name might imply, I've had the sunset boss too at one point.
Decent longevity though

greten55

I love orange in parfumes and here it´s like being in a garden with only orange trees. I sit here in the evening and the wind let the smell of orange come softly around me. Lovely.

peachygal

I was gifted this perfume many years ago and I remember blasting through the bottle so quickly. Partly because my collection was smalller back then but also because this had no lasting power so I was reapplying.

I remember really liking it though. It was my first ever orange scent but not orange in a citrus way - it’s balanced and creamier becAuse of the vanilla. It’s light through, not a heavy or deep scent.

This one is lovely but doesn’t perform well.

anncka

Ever since its release I have always had this fragrance! I was a 16 year old girl back then and I had my whole youth in front of me.. I would spend my summers in southern France and this fragrance was a synonym for endless blue skies, salty air and warm sunshine of the Azure coast.. To this day I can still close my eyes and picture everything! However times change.. I grew up, my summers in France expired and what was once a signature scent that made everyone recognise me by is now a fragrance on my shelf that I rarely use, but somehow can't let go. I am very nostalgic about the way this fragrance made me feel. I would wear it even afterwards, when life got more serious, thinking it would do the trick.. But when I smell this now, all I can picture is a bubbly, young girl that was having the time of her life and was excitingly anticipating what the future holds for her..

Aleessandra

Outdated, that's why it smells boring. Fresh, I don't smell the red apple at all, kinda unisex, it reminds of D&G Light Blue (in the sense that it gives me the same car freshener vibes, headache inducing)

Deianera

I use this as an office perfume. It's mostly sweet orange blossom & soapy white flowers on me. It's clean, safe, comforting, and to be honest a little bit boring. The perfume is like ideal to wear to visit your in-laws lol. It reminds me of corporate world with grey suit, turtlenecks & ballerina flats, small talk at the water cooler, the tv serie friends, comforting day to day routine where nothing ever happens. Not bad, but definitely nothing special. But an awesome frangance I guess, if you are a big orange/orange blossom fan.

Hannehoney

Sweet, warm and cuddly :) I had this in my collection for many years and will always be one of my favorites. This is on my skin mostly a orange/vanillacream with woodsy undertones. Really nice everyday and any season scent for a good price :)

Mira20040313

Really nice orange blossom fragrance. I mostly get floral-citrusy notes, but the scent sadly doesn't last very long

AquaJima

Bittersweet peachy gummy candies, fruits and toffee. Delicious. I personally enjoy it best during the ice cold winter, but can probably be used in just about any season and occasion. A favorite. If you don’t enjoy the smell of gummy bears and candy 🍭 I don’t advise. This is what a fresh gourmand for adults should be like. Is not a serious gourmand, it is a fun one.

faustute

I have this perfume, it smells very cheap. I can smell spirit from it very clearly. Definitely not worth the money.

Freshvibe

Supernice very feminine , fresh opening that dries down in a sweet vanilla Warm very feminine / sexy - skin scent . This is obviously an EDT that unfortunately hasn’t got a great lasting power . But it will still be there for someone really close to scent ..
it’s absolutely gorgeous , so I would be madly in love with if it had greater power . Love its feminity and shy reassuring sweetness without cloy or being a mad gourmand .

The smell of roses

Not sure if orange blossom is in this perfume.

Tested because of orange blossom note, but did not like this perfume. I couldn’t smell my favorite note. It was a well blended white floral without distinct notes.

Stoned.Zombie.Cat

Idk what it is, and it's okay to think I'm crazy but I don't smell ANY of the listed notes lol to me it smells like Double Lollies lol those pressed powder candy lollipops? LOVE it! But not what I was expecting, I literally tried this because I kept hearing it was a really great apple perfume lol straight up smells like candy

cvargasvega

I'm sorry but I don't like it at all. It's not elegant and it's very common, plus it doesn't project (thanks God). A big NO!

vanilladecay

I see that a lot of people have labeled it a "fresh" spring or summer smell, but I just don't get that. I think it smells like a baked apple and it's my signature Christmas scent. I only wear it around the holidays, and I have to reapply it very often because it doesn't last long, but I always come back to it.

qofb

I am shocked that I actually liked this one! I really didn't think I would. I usually find apple in fragrance to smell like air freshener but this was not the case for me here. I think the white florals stop that, and with the vanilla, makes this fragrance creamy and sweet. Don't get me wrong, I would not repurchase and it wouldn't be an everyday scent for me, but it wasn't unpleasant.

dennyboyxo

Okay. I got this perfume back in 2015 off of FragranceNet.com because Gigi Gorgeous spoken about this particular perfume. However, I received it in the mail, and my first spritz of it, I immediately regret it. I don’t know what happened to that perfume. Wasn’t sure if it’s supposed to smell like stale orange-tea? Or I probably got a bad old batch. Idk. I ended up just tossing that out. It’s rare if I throw away perfumes. Has anyone experienced this problem too?

Mynotaur

Ahhh no, not great I’m afraid. Smells a bit like a compost bin and spray bench cleaner. Very sharp and a bit off. Cute bottle but the juice is bad.

megkaybeee

I literally just had a chance to try this perfume yesterday while browsing Douglas and saw that it was on sale. I’m in my mid 30’s and swear to god when I smelled this on my skin it reminded me of those fresh mornings in high school (you know, this light scent mixed with coffee) but apparently this perfume was not launched until 2009, so I guess some other perfumes of this kind of scent were popular among those teachers back in the days.

The opening was “meh” to me though, but after 30 minutes it turned out so well, I couldn’t stop smelling the back of my hand where I tested on. The scent isn’t offensive but very sophisticated and sensual. I don’t explain well, but if this perfume was a person it would be someone who is bubbly, yet mysterious and super sexy as hell.

It stays at least 6 hours on my skin, then it leaves on a warm sensual sandalwood and a hint of vanilla scent for the rest of the day. I would say this perfume is easily suitable for all genders.

larisa16

Just received this as a gift! It’a a sweet perfume with an ordinary smell. It’s out of fashion and there are other perfumes better than this in my opinion. It’s nice but i can’t say much else. Nothing special and it doesn’t last more than 1 hour.

Stark95

Smells nice and fresh on the skin while still smooth from the vanilla. I've loved this for years reminds me of my teenage years.

alsa7

Onion peels.
No, thank you.
The only good thing is that it's unnoticeable.

latafan

Not sure if my little sample vial has gone off, but the opening is rather sharp alcoholic for me along with the crips smell of apple or rather apple peel. Thankfully the alcohol evaporates very fast, so no biggie.

It quickly turns into bright white florals with a dash of watery apple juice. A tiny little bit dish-soapy tbh, not really outstanding in any way, but I do still find it through and through fresh and pleasing. If someone handed me this to freshen up, I'd happily use it.

It's simple and feels rather timeless to me. Not bad at all.

dglightblue

No, i don't like this
It has an over ripe and off tea-like smell.

kati77

I did blind purchase. It was good price and i liked it just some. So i gave it to my aunt, for her it's stunning.
I am happy that this scent is great for her, for me was only ok.

sameenuk

Interesting smell. Hugo Boss for Men is God awful. God knows who wants to wear that or the kind of person that buys that for their guy. Its always heavily discounted which explains a lot. Bought the perfume instead out of curiosity and its a lovely refreshing smell. I like to spritz it in the air in general when i need a perk up while working from home. It has that kind of Pimms like lightness to it.

What I like is the fresh floral on a sunny day. The African Orange Flower note is gorgeous in this. I left a little bit on my blazer and it has a great projection and longevity given its price. Its a very intimate perfume come to think of it, but has character to suit a bold confident woman. Its not a very sharp or cloying scent, but very gentle and progressive. A scent with a little coy smile to leave you with. The fun loving old soul type thats just so rare to find.

Vanilla and sandalwood notes come out after an hour, which i think are the marks of a fairly discerning successful woman willing to take on the guy colleagues at their own game. I know deep down this won't suit every woman, its clearly marketed to a certain ambitious type used to success. Totally redundant to people who buy overpriced, pretentious mediocre scents like Bulgari or synthetic woody scents like Estee Lauder Sensuous.

Fragaddict123

Smells good but the one for men is a lot better

peanutbuttercups

Pleasant enough.... but nothing special.

I'm not sure if this has been duped to death, or just that it's insane popularity in the early 2010s has rendered it generic, but I feel like I smell this perfume absolutely everywhere. As others have stated, the citrus note is very difficult to detect, which is surprising given the name of this fragrance.

Mynotaur

Eh, it’s okay but I’m not impressed. Just lacking something....missing an element... It smells a little like a spray kitchen cleaner. I was trying to find something like Cacherel’s Liberte but this isn’t it. It’s not offensive or anything, just nothing special.

AMajeedQT

Sweet white flowers.

Boss Orange is a moderately-sweet fragrance made up mainly of white flowers and vanilla. This combo made fruitier with apple, and there is a green bitter undertone that might be from the orange blossom or olive tree. It adds a different taste to the fragrance without being overt.

Very likeable and inoffensive, mass-appealing, one might call it generic even.

All-season wear, suitable more for the youngish crowd.

champagnepatti

It smells like orange liqueur. I got tired of it really quickly and I can barely tolerate it now, but I refuse to give it away because at first I LOVED it, I feel like I need to give it a second chance... we will see.

aldinatic

this realy smells like the orange color :) :D

Laysul20

A quiet, calm, gentle scent, but I'm not sure where everyone gets orange from because there Really is no detectable orange- I get a lot of white flowers and vanilla. It's a safe, sensible perdume, but not anything that would have you noticed .

anncka

This beauty has been my signature since its release! I can't ever be without it. 💗 Love, love, love and nothing but love for this one. I am trembling that they don't discontinue it.. I can't seem to find it anywhere in my country. Better stock up!

bel.gravia

Cheerful and optimistic, yes, this is what I imagine the colour orange to smell like. Think apple pie with cinnamon, think vanilla and white flowers - simple yet truly beautiful.
On my wrist Orange is very warm and very soft, very tender and feminine, very joyful.

alatchka

As I did as a child, every new toy, lunchbox, pair of knee socks, etc stood the test by coming to bed with me. Now many many years later, I wear a new fragrance to bed. If it is unobstrusive or even better, lulls me to sleep, I know it's a winner.
Yesterday, I received a bottle of Hugo Boss Orange in the mail. Another one of my knee jerk, blind buys off of eBay. I probably shouldn't say "blind" buy, as I ALWAYS read up on the scent here on Fragrantica before purchasing. Nine times out of ten these "blind buys" are winners. By saying this I must say, "Yes, success!" on this purchase. What I was seeking was an apple scent with more longevity than the DKNYs that are lovely, but have no staying power. HBo is not huge in the apple, but wonderful in the Orange Blossom and vanilla. It is a very comforting scent...very feminine (though the bottle being rather masculine). It is definitely a day time or an evening getting cozy on the couch with your lover, wearing to bed fragrance. Last night I was lulled to sleep after spraying myself and my pillowcase. This is huge praise as I have terrible insomnia. I highly recommend this fragrance. Longevity is very good (still had whiffs this morning)...silliage? (my son asked me what the wonderful scent was from down the hallway). Price tag is extremely reasonable.

KittyDeBeauvoir

I think is probably a very nice scent overall, but it smells just awful on me.
I was looking forward to a pretty, light, fresh, sweet orange blossom scent, and - again, on me - it becomes sour very quickly.
Like...very, *very* dusty(!), bitter oranges.

A shame, but I don't begrudge the perfume (much).

***

Kitty rating: 2.5/10.

Rose du soir

What a pretty orange blossom ! This one isn't sharp, citrusy or synthetic like many bad orange blossom fragrances on the market. It's very floral, soft and comforting. Fresh and sunny, perfect for Summer and the office. The apple and vanilla notes are fresh and not sugary, and complete the scent. Unfortunately, the opening doesn't last and only a weak skin scent follows. The scent is lovely, but I won't buy considering its weak performance. A bit sad as this was the kind of orange blossom I was looking for.

Mnovara

For a person who doesn't like citrus notes in perfumes, this one is nice! Soft, feminine and delicate. I can smell crisp apple in the beginning, then followed by orange blossom and vanilla. It's a super-light, daily fragrance.

The longevity is super weak on my skin. I only detect the orange blossom for some seconds, then vanilla and it almost totally gone in an hour.

I'll try to spray it on my clothes tomorrow.

SissySuzanne

I own this and the EDP. This scent is so delicious, so warm with just a hint of fruit, very feminine.

CoffeeCup

Nice, cozy, and very soft. Not sure what I'm smelling here coz none of the notes are too distinct.

This is what pretty girls wear to school and to their first job I reckon. Not me though. But it would be a nice scent to wear to a baby shower, tea party, or when lounging on someone else's balcony for a lazy (read cozy) afternoon chit-chat.

Why is it called orange though? There's no orange smell in it, and it definitely doesn't evoke the vibrant feeling of the color orange either. Pastel yellow (like freesia) would suit it better imho.

Alekssss

Hello, dear people!
Where can I find a fragrance like perfume, not toilet water or spray?

meg0825

I love this! Several reviewers have described this as a "cozy" scent and that is spot on. The orange blossom-vanilla combination is very comforting. Warm, sweet, creamy, and powdery. I really enjoy the crisp apple in the opening too. Fantastic!

GinCatsBooks

I used to adore Boss Orange, I wore it religiously, it was one of my signature fragrances.
On me, I got warm sandalwood, some green fresh woody olive tree notes and a bit of velvety vanilla. It lasted pretty well on me, roughly 8 hours, but it was quite close to my skin by about hour 6.
My exes favourite on me, once the relationship ended, so did my love for this fragrance, I gave my bottle to my sister who wears it beautifully.
Maybe in time I can return to it, but for now, it brings back too many memories

Ninasknows

I know this is unremarkable to some people but I love it!
Agree with PP that said it’s definition of ‘cosy’ if a hug had a smell this would be it ! It’s warm , creamy, sweet but not sickly. I find it a very unique, inoffensive smell perfect everyday scent.
A girl I knew at college wore this as her signature, she was the happiest most go lucky free spirit and always had a bottle of this in her huge bag.
Whenever I smell it I recognise it and think of her!

redbionicle

Fierce but not offensive. Flowers in a good way. I like this perfume because the way it makes me feel: cheerfull and happy. It's joyful and I'm enjoying my third bottle as it doesn't get boring!T his is my office -perfume. I receive compliments but when I tink on it: my female co- workers are the complementing ones, men don't seem to notice..

2019-06-14. update; Still not boring. I have my 5th or maybe 6th bottle now.

Lidell

This scent is the non-verbal definition of the word 'cozy'.

SandyMelak

Ok , oh WOW
I have more than 300 fragrance bottle and this is different than any of them .. good difference !!!

it has something unique .. elegant .. cozy .. it makes me feel like ( home ) I dunnu if this is even right sentence but it makes me feel conferrable .. happy , safe ,like being in my home after long journey ,

of course it is not THE BEST OF THE BEST fragrance in the world , but it is differently the best of being cozy and elegant .

I wish it could be longer lasting and got better silage .
it would be heaven on earth .

I can give it easy 7.5/10 just because it's lack of longevity .
If you dun care about lasting . it's easyy 9/10 for u

raiza1990

Nice fragrance. Fruity and creamy. Smells almost identical to the male version, only thing missing are the spices (and the strong projection of the masculine fragrance). For people who like sweet scents, but don‘t want anything gourmand or too fruity, this is a good and cheap option. It is not the best in this genre. I think that I Am Rock from Shakira, for example, is way better. But, this is nice enough and longevity is good.
I will give it a 6,5/10

Lipglossjunkee

Sweet apple, a hint of orange flower, a ton of vanilla, and that is pretty much it. It's pretty...but smells a lot like a VS body spray. I don't get any sandalwood or olive tree, and someone below said it smelled like animal-shaped vitamins for kids. They are not wrong--it does resemble the Flintstone chewables we all had when we were young. It's not unpleasant, but it's a bit on the boring side. I can find this one a home with someone who might appreciate it a lot more than I do.

(I wrote a review several years ago, but honestly have not reached for it since then so I felt we needed an updated, honest review)

Mbrock

This isnt perfume or even edt. Ive had shower gels that leave a scent longer on my skin. Its like a drop of orange in water. No sillage & disappears as soon as you spray it. A complete waste of time & money.

smellhunt

A dear friend surprised me with a bottle of Orange last week and I have to admit that although I hadn't tried it before, it only took me one spritz to love it!!!
It's fresh- creamy- sweet (a bit too sweet for me but I don't mind) orange flower that turns slightly woody- musky at the dry down without loosing much of its character.
It's late spring now and works fine: great longevity- around 10 hours with good silage and I get quite a few compliments; even from my husband, something that doesn't happen often enough...
I think this could be a good choice for any season.
So do try it; sometimes good scents come to us in unexpected ways!!!

cedar_lea

I got a sample of this hoping for a perfect summer orange blossom. On me this is a vanilla dominate scent with a bit of apple in the opening, a powdery sandalwood, an almost salty olive leaf note and florals with orange blossom being the dominate floral but I wouldn't be surprised to find some tuberose in there too. I do get a little orange, maybe a mandarin or clementine, but it's not a sharp citrus orange. More of a juicy orange.

While this isn't at all what I was expecting it is really a pleasant summer vanilla and I'm going to play with it more when the weather gets warmer

KHunton

This is my absolute favorite scent.
I have stocked up as I fear it may have been discontinued:(
It is very unique and alluring but also fresh and pleasant

trompik123

Sadly in my skin in the dry down I only smell big flower I think gardenia, it made me queasy .. and it last a lot

Perfumexoxo99

The moment I saw this perfume I thought I'd love it! It looked clean, fresh, fruity, everything I love about a fragrance! I sprayed some on my skin and loved it even more! Luckily I work with perfumes and got it on offer with a discount! As it is an eau de toilette, I knew it would not be very long lasting which resulted in me spraying loads on my skin.. However, I received no compliments wearing this and the smell faded so quickly! Other of my work colleagues commented on the fact that the perfume does not last long at all and you can only really smell it the moment you spray it! This was such a shame because at first I loved the perfume but after a while it had completely faded and no one could smell it on me.

lndolsson

I like the powdery scent with a tiny whiff of orange blossoms. It's a clean simple fresh scent that stays for a long time. Perfect for the office and maybe best during the autumn

damdelcious

One of my signature perfumes. My safe go to perfume when in doubt. Never disappoints. Oceanic aquatic fresh mildy dreamy and creamy seductive smell. Ppl can smell when ive entered a room and when I was in it. Very sexy flirty teasingly noticeable smell.

kosma

It's a very energetic but still sweet and creamy scent. Fresh notes of apple and orange blossom are perfectly balanced by softer notes of vanilla and white flower. Love it!

kristenboris1997

This reminds me more of the smell of sweet orange essential oil at the beginning, more than orange flower. It does settle into a fruity floral with a hint of vanilla and white floral. This is almost edible, the smell is so good! If you really like orange/orange essential oil smells, this is a great one. It also reminds me of orange and almond cake! Yummy!

cinnakitty

I found this when I was looking for something that smelled like Joop All About Eve, and it does somewhat.
It has a kind of bubblegum thing in there but it does fade fast and isn't a really stand out scent. If you like Mont Blanc Legend Pour Femme you may like this too, to me both fit into the same safe compartment.

jay1

oh my! if names are misleading, then this is it!

I really wanted orange, but it's not citrus related at all. On me, it developed into a very very strong cumin fragrance!

jay1

I'm shocked.. Was very excited to try this thinking it'd be orang-y and suitable for the warm weather.
Not! Quite strong and it ended up giving off a strong fenugreek smell! :o
The dry down after a few hours was however pleasant.

skyelightfetish

Boring. Not really "dislike" but very meh.

Hugo Boss orange edp was on my radar for a while because of it's creme Brulee note but my mom bought edt as a gift for me by mistake
I love orange flower, vanilla and apple so no wonder I like it.as I spray it and I smell my skin deeply,I can detect a bitterish green/woody note which should be olive tree.this note is very out of place IMO and could ruin boss orange completely(as it ruins flowerbomb rose explusion)but thanks god here it fades very fast and I'm left with a delicious vanilla cream being more tasty with sweet fruit notes of apple and orange and white flowers.I know there's no orange among it's notes but orange flower adds a slight orangey vibe
I find it really lovely and cute.it's simple, sweet, soft and very creamy.I wonder how does edp smells.it's notes seem to be sweeter, creamier and more delicious it can be more than love for me
Hugo Boss orange edt while being sweet, manages to remain soft and kind of fresh,so it's wearable even in summer days
Boss orange isn't something unique or outstanding but it doesn't make it less lovely to my nose.it can be a nice casual fragrance, good for work or college, good for friendly gatherings and even wearing around home.I love to wear it for bed it gives me sweetest dreams.it's smooth, youthful and innocent, bright and sweet and clean.longevity and sillage are both moderate at their best never mind because I like respraying this pretty perfume
I like it's bottle.it's made of heavy glass and metal and looks modern and intresting
P.s: vanilla in boss orange edt reminds me vanilla in Katy Perry meow(they don't smell similar in whole).creamy, soft and has a bright, fresh undertone
❤❤❤
Edit:
I still think it smells very nice,I still like it but I don't reach for it as much as I expected.sometimes I really enjoy it's yummy creamy, powdery vanilla-floral goodness but other times it seems a little boring. I will use up my 2.5oz,of course not so fast but I won't repurchase

ammouna20

this was my first eau de toilette ever, i used it when i was a teenager
it's simple ,chic and everyday smell appropriate
it's feminine ,elegant and decent thanks to its inoffensive orange blossom and red apple notes
a noticible vanilla hint is present when it settels down a bit
since i generally prefer the eau de parfum style for its longevity in all my perfume wardrobe , for this fragrance i'm now using a master copy that is as effective as the original and i'm saving money as well

gabkins

I received a sample in the mail yesterday and wore for the first time today. I had to use quite a bit to make any impact. As others have noted, longevity is pretty short. 2-3 hours at most, after that I could mostly only smell it if I put my wrist up to my nose, and then only the vanilla.

Was I just fooled by the name? lol. I bought this thinking it was a citrus. I *smell* primarily citrus, and underneath the white flowers, and vanilla as a strong base. Then I get on here to review it and see that APPLE is the main note????????? I don't smell apple at all. very confused. lol.

jenni.karlsson

Very sophisticated and certain. I really like it.

mishlava3000

Boss Orange. So juicy!

Wow I really feel at ease and relaxed in this scent. It doesnt try to drag me behind it. The orange flower is lush and fragrant. I think the apple and vanilla combine to lift the sweetness of the orange flower to make this scent a close to body fructose burst. But it doesnt overpower my nose, even with my nose pressed against my arm and inhaling as deep as I can.

I would reapply this every 3-4hrs.

Simple. Not ground breaking. But very nice.

Ladypfefer

I was givent this as a gift and I enjoy wearing this in the office. I get the vanilla without being too sweet, I think the orange flower balances it out very well. It is a very soft scent and lasts quite well ( so far it has been 5 hours and I can still smell it on me. :)

Madrona

It's nice. The orange blossom works well with the vanilla and the apple, but it is not sweeping me off my feet. Reminds me a bit of Roberto Cavalli EdP with less bubblegumminess. It's "only" a like in my book.

Jernê Knowles

A good day to day scent that can represent you when you are not in the mood for those fragrances deeply more elaborate. A floral freshness to heat or a simple scarf for the cold, serving well in any situation / climate satisfactorily and sparingly. An orchard of fresh red apples, ready for harvest with light indole nuance that do not harm in any way the smell, it is in homeopathic doses, forming a close golden and borbulhosamente "clean" those who constantly goes to newly taken feeling bath . Funny thing is, he did his end becomes oily medium woody, I would say it resembles a light dash of olive oil Olivia, but no culinary characteristics, but something much more tonic associated genre to a green parched sweetie reminding peeled fresh branch with a background containing a very humble Sandalwood. As I have already said, it is a scent for everyday and that appeals to the Greeks (as) and Trojans (as), is to have it in the bag, in the glove compartment in the desk drawer and always close at hand on the dresser of the room to reapply it to a much more satisfactory perfuming. Hugo Boss presents a collection called Orange and within the range of two concentrations, EDP and EDT, which is here the Eau de Toilette them.

Word of the day: cleanliness... (day 63)

Shania85

I think I can call this my signature... this is so me!!!
Love it all year round !!!

Swamp Lily

Apple strudel with brown sugar, vanilla sauce and a garnish of white flowers.

Lipglossjunkee

I normally am not a fan of apple in fragrances, as it comes off as synthetic, harsh, or shampooey (think Salon Selectives circa 1992)...and I didn't have high hopes for this one based on the note matrix, but I purchased it on a whim and figured "What the heck!".
This is a creamy apple scent...it's a florally apple opening that quickly softens into a lovely creamy vanilla/orange flower/sandalwood scent that is truly lovely. Sillage and projection are very close to the skin (3 spritzes) and it lasts about 3 hours or so with that. Not a heavy hitter, but still pretty and interesting. And it was inexpensive, so I can afford to respray. Not sharp or headache-inducing. Just an inoffensive lovely sweet floral.

marwa.qoura

That's really nice , very youthful and simply chic , just like Sienna Miller 's style ..I am crazy for African Orange flower 's smell , which I smell in my country in the Spring and that perfume doesn't disappoint with it , but the opening is all apples . A powdery & airy scent which is just perfect for a Summer morning or Spring day , but not boring or aquatic or plain simple . I think it won't disappoint if you grab it for a Summer night out either .The vanilla is very mild here and just adds to its beauty . I am not a big fan of vanilla fragrances , but this is lovely. Some are comparing it to Felicity by Oriflame which I have bought for my sister last Summer , I don't think they have similarities at all..Felicity is much heavier , deeper with a cinnamon touch .

DaisyChain90

I was recently gifted this fragrance and have to say I'm really disappointed. It is so so so strong and heavy. The vanilla notes come through so strong on my and the sweetness of the Orange is completely drowned out. It's such a shame as I have smelt this on other people are really liked the fresh fruity notes, on others this really does remind me of holidays. But it is a no no for me personally!

grasslands

Despite having fruit and vanilla accords, the most prominent notes for me are the wood notes. The opening is the sweetest, fruitiest (apple) part, but that only lasts a few minutes. Then I get light florals and powdery musky woods for the rest of it. There's a whisper of vanilla remaining but I don't find it particularly sweet in the drydown.

I like the fact that the fruit isn't sharp at all, the sweetness isn't cloying and the woods are smooth and diffused.

I get medium longevity and sillage, and I can build up a nice veil of it if I reapply every few hours.

It's not ground-breaking, but it is office worthy and that's good by me.

BlackDressBlondHair

Am I really the only one who actually smells orange in this?
Anyway, it's a great perfume!

all4knowledge

On me, this fragrance opens with a burst of white flowers with just a hint of citrus. As it dries down, it becomes sharply, surprisingly spicy. Not what I expected or particularly like.

christabella

To me this is a sweet-powdery-citrucy fragrance if that makes sense. Actually more powdery than anything.

amazonia

I don't really get the apple note on my skin - strange, maybe I'm just being influenced by the name of the fume but I always felt it had more of a citrus vibe.

I had this perfume 3 years ago and enjoyed it but didn't think it was anything earth-shattering. Just a floral, woodsy vanilla - nothing too original.

That said, 3 years on and I'm finding I'm going back to a lot of old purchases that I've liked - but not loved - in the past. I'm just bored of a lot of fragrances on the market at the moment so it's quite nice to go back to one that I found pleasant. I wouldn't wear this if I was trying to pull out all the stops to impress someone, but for a cozy winter fragrance, this is perfectly nice.

In summary, I could live without it - but I am looking forward to getting a bottle of this next week!

Sylvie-Aus

I am slowly getting to like it . The top notes are nice , the so called " vanilla " is a bit " chalky ! it is not ground breaking but I often , found myself wearing it ! An easy going scent , also reasonably priced ! Overall, it is pleasing ! I would not buy it again, though !

ruxxy, I never had or heard of " animal. shaped vitamins " for kids , it sounds so cute & clever ! Also , it does have this smell of multi vitamines , spot on ruxxy !

ScarlettX

A soft and modest perfume. Not unique, but a good everyday scent.
It's sweet and fruity, but doesn't have very big sillage.
Nice enough for testing, but not the one for me.
I think it's excellent shower gel scent and smells good, just not the most appealing perfume.

houzi

My former love:) I first smelled it from a sample in a magazine. Funnily enough, the ad campaign had zero appeal to me, but I gave the sample a perfunctory sniff anyway. Out of the blue I found the most delightful fragrance in a long time; it was a very unexpected love at first sniff.

The most striking feature of Boss Orange to me is its creaminess: not edible in character, but very velvety, fluffy and pudding-like in texture. The orange blossom is doing exceptional work here, with an apt support from the ripe red apple in the opening, and the combination of the waxy olive tree (my guess here) and dry vanilla in the base. The end result is a peaceful, soft-spoken (but not wimp:), a little soapy, and all-embracing skin scent that works equally nice in any weather.

One or two hours into the drydown I pick up something mildly savoury, perhaps reminiscent of a light spiciness, in between other notes; I'm wondering whether it's another facet of the olive tree, which honestly is a mystery note to me.

I'm sure one thing that made me like the perfume as much as I did is that it didn't harass me with what I refer to as the 'designer base', the irritating synthetic-smelling musk and/or cedar notes that pervade so many current mainstream perfumes.

I believe the word 'orange' in the name refers to the orange blossom, or the colour the perfume is supposed to evoke, because to my nose there's absolutely nothing citrusy orange in the scent itself.

Boss Orange is the only perfume I've ever repurchased; the bottle I currently own is my third. It had been quite perfect for me for at least three years and I didn't want to be without it. Nothing else came close to it during that time. But all good things must come to an end. For one reason or the other I felt compelled to explore whatever else was out there, and once that happened I quickly ended up outgrowing my trusty companion.

It's always been more of a comfort scent to me than a statement perfume, and I can easily admit it's totally unremarkable next to other fragrances with more personality. But it's a nice everyday scent, and reasonably classy too. Not a 'love' anymore, but something I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

auroramaria

This fragrance is certainly not groundbreaking however the vsnilla is so warm and comforting and this makes boss orange perfect for cold winter nights

dina

On my skin, BO is a very creamy vanilla fragrance, not really special or remarkable but pretty likeable.

It smells like many other vanilla perfumes but has a rather good quality and gives me a very cosy and warm feeling.

I don't see myself buying a full bottle but a 50ml would be good enough to use next Xmas.

Whiteclimax

Quite fresh and even synthetic at the beginning. You can feel the sweet vanilla scent only after it dries.

Sherihan

Boss orange is a denser version of Red Jeans by Versace, almost identical.

nitschevo

Boss Orange is a sub line of the original Hugo Boss (fashion etc). It aims at a younger target group. This scent is the signature scent for women. Mystery solved :)

izhcr

I don't know why it's called Boss ORANGE, it don't even smells citrus

phusem

This scent is only sugary apple for me. I don't like it

Arlene-Beatrix

Subtle, sweet but not candy-like, cheerful, and quite warm. I agree with opinions that it is better for autumn or spring than for summer.

Update: I bought it. After few weeks of using, I have discovered that I like it the most of all my fragrances, standing one by one on my bathroom shelf. How strange that love to perfume can grow in time...

Lucida

I insist that I'd much rather smell this scent in winter and fall than in any other season.. Warm, sweet but nor everpoweringly so, bright and a little spicy.

Exactly the kind of fragrance I want to smell on my scarf on a cold winter morning.

Scout

LOL, Unlike DeniseCris66, I stopped wearing this because it doesn't have enough orange!!! LOL! :)
Seriously, I love the blossom at the opening and impulse bought this thinking it wold be my little work-appropriate energizer bunny yet casual smell. I get amped with the bright smell of citrus and orange blossom, especially when it has the smooth edges of a creamy vanilla middle and base.
But this mellows out into a bland generic skin scent drydown, and all but disappearing by the end of the day. No orange flower to be found, no vanilla, nothing. :( Probably one of the least-lasting frags I own.
Edit: The opening of this and Cartier L'Orange are nearly identical, but the similarities end after the first 15 minutes.

denisecris66

I'm so happy, because it doesn't have orange! Thanks God! It smells perfect!

sarah.innes20

This was the first perfume I bought for myself as before I would get perfumes as Christmas or birthday presents. I think I bought it because it was pretty inoffensive and not too strong with top notes of vanilla and red apple you'd be hard-pressed to dislike this perfume. However, after a while I soon grew bored of the smell as it's quite a simple fragrance and very one-dimensional, it also wasn't very long-lasting considering the price. This scent was also not very strong and I could never smell it on my skin because it blended in with other smells. However, I do recommend this perfume to anyone who isn't a fan of strong perfumes with lots of depth. This fragrance is for someone who loves fresh clean smells.

mariana7945

its called boss orange and it doesnt have orange????

simbeast

i really like this, but i could see why others don't. i find it has a great, appealing, comforting smell. the vanilla, white flowers and apple work well together, and like someone previously said it makes for a very easy to wear scent. unfortunately, it doesn't really go anywhere and it fades quickly.

i don't regret buying this, but i don't think i would repurchase. it's not worth $70. it definitely works as a good "rebound" scent for after I have been at sephora spraying on all the perfumes and i have about 6 on each arm. after a shower, this is pretty much the only thing i can take.

for anyone who works in a place where scent is frowned upon, testing this would not be a bad idea as it is a good subtle under-the-radar kind of fragrance.

sophcogsworth

Hugo Boss Orange can be described as a perfume with a great number of exciting and glamorous notes. The sweetness that comes out reminds me of a vintage summerous evening watching the sunshine and be surrounded by white flowers in a vanilla atmosphere.Seems outopic, but one day,as I was going to town, using the bus, there was a lady that asked mew what was the fragrance that I was wearing. She was like.''It's smells wonderful!''So,from that you can understand how Hugo Boss Orange is thought to be an extremely feminine perfume and can be adapted to every single personality which hides a scent of uniqueness and capacity.

blacktaffeta

This is one of my son's girlfriend's fragrances (the other is Ghost). I find it very charming on her. As other reviewers have said, warm, sweet, vanillic and a little citrussy. Not ultra-sweet in the way of so many perfumes targetted at girls, either. Very good!

So maybe my opinion is biased here but I would say it's a great scent for a girl or young woman, but not complex and not something I'd be tempted to use myself.

deekay

on my skin this smells just like a fresh fruity creamy orange creamsicle.
so much so the other notes just seem a little lost, vague.
regardless i LOVE this, i think it's fruity & warm, wearable at any time.

tiger_greeneyes

This is a perfume I can wear whatever my mood and the only one I can wear if I don't feel well. It's an easy one to love and very versatile. If you like mixing your perfumes, I tried it with a single spritz of Lady Million (as LM is so strong) and it worked well. I also spray this on my clothing because it lasts longer that way. I don't know what it is about Boss Orange but it has a very calming effect on me and it makes me feel good. Everyone should have a perfume that gives them such nice feelings! I will always have a bottle of this close by.

tinaelisa

I reeaaaally wanted to like this scent. The first time I smelled it on a friend I really loved it. It smelled so sweet warm and light. Just perfect! But now when I smell it on the testerstrip and even on my skin all I smell is some weird dead flower smell of flowers that have been left way to long in the same water in a vase and they started to rot :( ... I'm so disappointed, really like the ad campaign of this fragrance too.

On the other side, I did rediscover my love for Hugo Boss Deep Red. Mhhh sweet, fruity, vanilla but also slightly smokey and deep in a good way. Will be sticking to that one instead!

genny17

I find it light, soft, nice but so weak that I couldn't buy a bottle, I would have to respray all the time. Nonentheless it is a light orange water scent, for hot weather it wouldn't be bad I think. I wonder about the intense version then. .....
I am a huge fan of Remix and this has NO similarity at all

kelly.locke.79

This one wasn't for me. Smelt fruity and sweet at first and then very synthetic and cheap smelling. Expected more the the price. Have smelt far nicer from non-designer brands. Luckily just a tester vial. Maybe my chemistry I'm not sure.

miza norizan

i got the trial vial from the perfume counter. But I just don't like this. On me, it smells so chemical-like. It last quite a long time, which on other perfume should be a plus, but because it smells so awful on me, it gave me headache instead.

I guess it just not made for me.

mirisfrik

I had this one, a light and balmy scent, unfortunately the lasting power was very poor just as the silage.

perfumequeen23

Nothing more to say about this perfume but i LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!

Pez_Enelrio

I love this one. its my favorite from Boss. long lasting, pleasant and for a wide age interval. its a casual scent for a lovely woman. I cant really get the notes shown above though.

Angeldelight900

Its a pretty fragrance, orange vanilla, bit of musk, prob wouldn't purchase again as i prefer other scents now but if you like orange then this is the one

suhaesa

Opening with red juicy apple, after 5 minutes turns into the african orange blossom and after 5-10 minutes you can smell vanilla..
Aaand after 5 minutes..
Its gone.

Marilulu

toralnn

1st smell ~ yes I like it BUT it doesn't stay long on me I ve to reapply it every 3 - 4 hrs. for casual use is fine for me :)

tessture

Sandalwood haters need not apply. It's an okay sandalwood and orange-sherbert incense, but the sandalwood isn't a good one and in the end it is just too sharp.

starvega

Not nice at all... it's no surprise that it smells "orangey" but imagine if you took half a glass of orange juice, topped it up with milk and then smeared it on yourself. That's the gist of how it smells on me.

tiger_greeneyes

This was a blind purchase through eBay. I'm so glad I bought it as it's the one fragrance that I don't have to think about when deciding what to wear - it goes with everything, it's light and bright, warm and reassuring, feminine without being pretentious, in short, it's incredibly easy to wear. It doesn't last overly long on my skin so I spritz my clothes and I can still smell it hours later. There are days I can't wear perfumes because of headaches/nausea relating to an illness but it appears this perfume is completely exempt from that, it's completely inoffensive.

If I had to describe this perfume as a friend, she would be dependable, easy-going, honest, reassuring, unassuming and a breath of fresh air when your day is less than happy.

It's almost like an uplifting, happy, light Summery version of Cristobal.

mayandra

I was really in love with it, it describes me perfectly, but then I realized that it doesn't last very long on my skin -- 30 minutes and puff! it's gone! -- while I was kinda hoping people would recognize it as my scent.
I loved it because for me this is not a sweet-nauseating smell, it's fresh but not too citrusy, it's sweet but still kinda casual and effortless, and my boyfriends told me they loved it and they even wore it. But after a while, the alcohol smell overpowered everything else, so after 2 years wearing Orange, I decided not to buy this again -- it was a hard break up though.

delannie

nothing special about it. Not worth the buy. I smelt it at the perfume shop. Smells to much like a hair spray, too light and forgettable. Went back to smell it the second time and the third time to know if there was something wrong with my nose but naaaH! BORING

royar

I totally LOVE this one! my all time favorite. soft, tolerable, fresh, enjoyable...
if I want to describe this perfume with only one word I would say: HAPPY
if youre looking for a day time fragrance that doesn't disturb anyone and yet it's enjoyable and pretty, I highly recommend you this one.

arimegahot

Pensé que sería un perfume más juvenil y fresco. pero no me gustó para nada, huele un poco medicinal y como quimico. Hasta me marea un poco el olor, así es que no lo usaré :(

maraika

I just got a sample of this and i liked it from the first sniff. It's delicious orange - fresh, sweet and milky. I think the combination with vanilla and red apple smells yummy. I was actually sniffing it at the elevator and a neighbour took a sniff. She said - Mmm, smells so good! It really is a happy, light scent, nothing outstanding, but still enjoyable.

bleuciel

This was my signature scent three summers ago. I loved it so much that I actually purchased two bottles, a rare thing these days with all the variety of perfumes on hand. I bought both at airport duty-free shops so can't complain about the price.

It's sweet, vanilla-ish, with some fruity and powdery hints. WARM. Appropriate for wear all year long. Does not offend, I think it will be hard to really dislike it.

It does not smell of oranges, as most reviewers have already said. So don't let that fool you.

The bottle is very nice - orange glass with metal inserts on both sides with metallic cap. Beware that the large bottle - 75 ml - will be rather tall.

Haas

Nothing special to me.
Vanilla far to dominant, to powdery.

Shinbin

I end up getting this as a gift from my dad on my birthday in 2009.. lovely smell .. got complimented from both women and men :D.

so i end up getting it this year again because i missed the smell.. pity about the price tag and the smell doesn't last long either :( but still happy with the overall smell. vanilla orange sandalwood scent to my nose.

pourfemme

It is an ordinary and cheap smell parfume to me. It does not disturb but nothing special, not deserve its price. Fortunately I bought 30ml. I will finish it and wont buy again.

Edit: Day by day I like it. İt make me comfortable, energetic, sweet-fresh. I dont like just beginning.

midnightsun

i went testing this perfume with high hopes ! i expected it to be a refreshing scent with a mix of nice appels and fresh orange blossoms....but all what i found is a nausiating smell of loads of vanilla mixed with appels!!! very disappointing! the vanilla is just too sweet for me :(

1nov

nice , very fresh I love it .

soulflame88

Really love this! I found out that I enjoy fragrances with orange and vanilla notes and this is one of them. Very pretty scent, definitely makes an impression. A lot of people have asked me about the name of this fragrance.

myplacebo

Soft floral blend of orange blossom and faint apple, with a breathy note of olive oil too. Not sure how well this one keeps. Some of the testers had gone off, and when it goes bad, it really goes really, really bad. Instant scrubber.

However, tried this one a few times now and got better results. In cooler weather, it's rather plain and gentle. But on an unusually hot summers day, say 26 degrees C, this exploded into an orangey delight, fizzy and fun. Will wait for the summer again to try. Love the bottle.

WitchyWoman727

Got a sample and wow. I am hooked! Just in time for spring/summer too. Smells sweet, fruity, powdery. All around, it's just really nice. I must have it. Love Hugo boss scents!

SheShe

Boring and not worth trying in my humble opinion.
At first orange with a hint of something darker, then brighter, but a thin, weak, boring scent with almost no projection.
Not worth writing about notes, they're all like one.
You won't be a boss wearing this ;)

Margarita1982

Its a modern everyday scent!

jenny23

I got a sample of this and it is quite a nice soft vanilla with some orange. Mainly vanilla though. It is a warm scent.

DresdenDoll

This is a very nice fragrance, though not necessarily very special. It's lot's of vanilla and orange flower, with a powdery sandalwood hint to it that doesn't really detract from it being a sweet floral.
Sillage is great and staying power very good too. This smells to me like a girls version of Boss in Motion. The bottle is pretty too.
I think this is a safe bet as a blind purchase or if you want a gift for someone, I think it's hard to dislike. It is like a fragrance of the 'girl next door' for sure, soft, floral, sweet and friendly. Though on me this smells very much like The Body Shop's Neroli Jasmin.

TaniaClamp

At first, you get a splash of a powdery orangecitrus scent, mixed with sugar. In the drydown the powder is still there, mixed with soft white flowers, orange blossom, tonka bean with a hint of vanilla. I'm not crazy about but this one, but I think it's an enjoyable, wearable scent. It has good lasting power. I'm not going to by this one again, cause there are so many nice fragrances out there, and sorry this is just not for me!!!

peny

smells perfect since i 've tested before 3 hours!!!! sweet and floral....i love the sweetness of vanilla later

von dita

Gosh, that smells nice!it is delicate but strong enough to make me feel better.

yettb

I love this it is a creamy delicious fragrance that is not overpowering no citrus orange to it at all mildly fruity at first and then the vanilla and sandalwood and orange blossom blend into this warm powdery creamy scent that is just irresistable

hanihafiz

i LOVE it!! and i'm wearing it right now to work...LOVE LOVE LOVE!!

tinaelisa

I get a strong pear note. I know it's not listed but I smell it pretty strongly and it's lovely! Mhhhhh sweet and fruity.

bry

I got a sample of this perfume and I thought it's nothing special but I kept sniffing it and now I'm in love with it. I'm going to buy it the next week. It's such a fresh yet sweet, cheerful scent, great for grey and boring mornings.

berfun.gedikoğlu

not heavy not fresh not sweet not spicy its so soooo cool on me and ı think u must try it .

princess27

great perfume
smells very good2me ,i dont get the bad reviwes cause this is really a nice perfume !

seme

i loved boss orange
it is diffrent
comforts me every time i smell it
and ithink i will wear it long time

ChemistRhi

I love this, personally I think it's instantly recognisable and unique, I've not smelled anything else similar to it....

Very good sillage and longevity, dries down to a gorgeous smell. I think it's pretty fresh, and maybe best for more 'Autumnal' weather as goes on very strong for quite a while.

Well that was a boring review but I thought I'd stick up for it a bit as it's delicious!!

ahnm

it smells creamy, sweet, slightly milky with a veil of sweet fruit. nothing tangy in this. this is the most perfect fruity floral; it has a good balance of everything.. but it's too boring for me.

pickledtink

Nothing special here. Barely a hint of orange! expected a neroli, orange, citrus uplifting kick in at least but nothing really but white flower and vanilla with the faint orange swiftly replaced by a little tonka.
So lightweight I doubt it'll last long on the skin at all.

Tubykap20

Casual, spring or summer scent...It's nice and delicate just like an orange flower.Reminds me of the nice and freshly-sweet (I don't know if that makes any sense... :P) smell in the morning in Spain.

Di_berry

It´s a nice safe scent, I find it too light, fruity & casual. It´s pretty but too generic. The bottle is really nice and delicate. Nothing special.-

dementialies

I love the lightness and freshness of this scent - on my skin its not too citrus despite the name and not too synthetic as some others have mentioned. The silage however is horrible. I really don't know why but when I purchased it there was no eau de parfum available perhaps if there was this would have helped. As it stands I can spray this like a body spray before work(we're talking 10 squirts) and the scent will be completely lost by mid day. Not really too impressed given the price.

Lotje

I love this scent... Fell in love with it from the first wif! Beautiful!!!

It's very sweet, with the apple and orangeblossom who really pop out. After a couple of hours the warm smell of sandelwood and vanilla is makes you feel happy and wonderfull.

It's a strong smell who last a really long time, when I spray it on my clothes, it sticks for a couple of days! And on my skin I smell it from morning till night... Beautiful en cheerful, definitly a stayer..

Turtledove

This scent is delicious! It's just the right balance of creamy and fruity and floral. I'm surprised orange isn't in the notes, it definitely has a little bit of a creamcicle kind of flavor with the fruit and vanilla, that goes into light, sweet flowers, it's heavenly. Usually (on me) fragrances with vanilla turn syrupy and cloying, and orange blossoms tend to become an overpowering musky floral, but this did neither, I can't get enough of it! The sweetness is just right, makes me happy every time I smell it. A very pretty, warm and sunny kind of scent. It's very light, and doesn't change much, but I like it a lot.

Annigee

This is very different from what I expected. It is subtle, but not as light or refreshing as I guess I expected from the bottle and name. But it is versatile and surprising: on first impression it is almost masculine, then slowly feminises to a much sweeter, almost musky aroma. Sadly, doesn't last very long (at least on my skin)so when the bottle (quickly) runs out, I probably won't replace it. At least not while I'm under thirty. Perhaps as I mellow, the fragrance will suit me better.

sehaman

My partner at the time best described this as "smelling like a Stripper". (Not what I was looking for.) However, I quite liked it as a casual perfume. It does have that generic feeling to it, though. And once the bottle ran out, I didn't go for it again.

tiffanykimwagner

I have tested this, and it smells so generic.. Its very light and summery, not my style... The bottle is beautiful and unique..
Edit: This fragrance is BORING, BORING, BORING... I wouldn't even buy it for the bottle. It has no depth or originality..

Bellamare

I found no apple here at all. No vanilla either. On my skin it smells all on one note - an orange chewing gum. Too simple and quite disappointing :(

Miss_J

I don't know how many people got some kind of suggestion that this perfume contains orange smell. Because it's obviously has NO orange fruit scents in it. Maybe it's because of the orange name & bottle? It's quite misleading I must say.

To my skin & nose, this perfume is the boring, generic, vanilla scent. It's creamy vanilla, but still a bit too sweet for my taste. I din't get the red apple scent at all. Maybe it's just my weird chemistry, but there are no noticable scent other than Vanilla, from the beginning to the drydown. Sandalwood give this perfume a warm combination, but it only appears slightly to accompany the vanilla notes. BUt still I'm not going to purchase it because I don't like vanilla. Even though I love the orange colour.

I might try for Orange Sunset though, because that's the one that contains real orange.

tuba

Nice and fresh fragrance. Good for everyday use.

tarrapradipta

LOVE IT!

agi

Smells like tasty orange, but bit sweeter, perfume is good, but on me don't stay long time !

hubava

its so sexy i love it ;))))

midnightsun

i've tried this recently. i was disappointed! no thing extraordinary...just another floral with a slight sweetness of fruits.

Inspire0111

This soooo reminds me of Burberry Brit (minus the "burnt" note I can smell in Brit). Viva La Juicy is a bit like this too. Although Boss Orange is fruity, it is still very elemgant and feminine.

Habanita

A nice soft scent for the office or daytime. It's too boring for me to consider buying it. It's also hardly discernible. As many reviewers already stated: there is no orange in this one :)

PS: I had a sample of this by now. It's still hardly discernible on my skin and way too sweet for my taste. Also it seems to vanish quickly although I always had to use much to have any effect at all.

Anissa

Perfect for officewear, sure it won`t bother anyone.First there`s juicy red apple and then white flowers, vanilla and musk in the base. This is one of the scents that are easy to give as gift, suit almost everyone. But if you don`T have this, you still haven`t lost a thing.

urobian

They refer a color, not a fruity... and is a clothing line wear in the hugo boss stuff.

sofiii

Orange is nice, but quite faceless. It opens with really lovely mouth-watering fresh real sweet apple smell, but soon it fades to tart warm pastry with slight orange-hint kinda smell. Which is nice, but…just a little bit too heavy, in a slightly melancholy romantic cold grey winter morning way, to be the Hugo Boss Orange.

Then it becomes milder and milder, but I can definitely smell it. It’s the weird mildness, I can smell it, I don’t really like it that much, but it doesn’t bother me at all, in a really indifferent way; somewhat it reminds me some spirit of Treson hitting dry down.

The dry out is much nicer, but faceless. It’s something like randomly put-together stall quasi-vanilla notes.

Personally I wouldn’t recommend Orange to anyone, it is nice, inoffensive in a way just like some people you see nearly every day in work, possibly you work on the same floor, but none of you bothered to say hi, you know those kinda people, the geek/snob/workaholic/whatever hybrids. Orange can be an office scent, but…why not find something fits your personality more, something at least says ‘hi’ to you upon sniffs, instead of something this bland and this faceless.

RavenDarkholme

I prefer the top notes than the way it smells after a while, anyway I would like to give it another try. For all those who would like a sample enter in their website (at least in Spain) and you can choose between this one, the sunset, or the male version. Hope you get your free sample! Personally I'm not in to buy it but I wouldn't mind to wear it now and then;)

LaPetite

Tested it in the perfume store today , I saw it in one friend's bathroom recently , but i didn't dare test it :-P Guests don't do such things ...
So i like it a lot it's very pleasant , discreet, happy , but not sweet , very good for an everyday use !

fifaatm

the creamy dry down is really sensual.. i just receive my bottle today, and i imagine that certain someone will snuggle my neck when i'm wearing it ;)

btw, are there a car/room freshener that smell like this perfume?
Last week within 5 days I 'encountered' this scent (or something that have similar scent with this) twice, once in a taxi and once in an airport. Dunno about the airport - perhaps it's just another person wearing Boss Orange too - but I doubt if the male taxi driver wearing this perfume also. (I wore other perfume at that time)

Now I'm cautious whenever I'm wearing this. I don't want to be known as 'the girl who wears a car freshener' :s

Delicious, I love !!!!. It is a sweet, warm scent. For the day at the office or out casual in the evening. What I like best are the notes of orange flower with sandalwood timber and olives, cinnamon and vanilla. The presentation of the bottle is most luxurious, is shaped like a sequence of 7 sparkling gems, is precious. The setting is very good. I would not say it is a classic perfume, or exclusive or unusual, but it is sensual, captivating, divine, easy going and very nice

kristina_vili

Very romantic and light scent,it`s very pleasant and comfortable, perfect for spring :) Unfortunatelly lasting power is very weak,I`m a little dissapoited for that,I won`t bye it.The Bottle is beautiful.I didn`t test other Orange parfums-Sunset and Celebration.Maybe you will tell me how is their staying power, are they last longer than this?

Saintkitty

Boss Orange is nice, lovely and optimistic, but very simple. It´s superficial weak sweetness which doesn’t stay long on my skin. No interesting opening, no good drydown. No one around me don´t recognize this fragrance, it´s too quiet. In spite of its name there are no oranges in Boss Orange. It´s a smell of sugar sweet apple. I let this shy saccharine apple have another owner. I gave my bottle away.

Matin

Boss Orange, is in my opinion a hot version of orange. If not as much as fanta! ... je , je ...but if there is some truth in it. The smell of hot orange juice with sugar, no fresh juice. I suppose it is the top note of apple red ,the white flowers and the "oriental" base notes that make more full and dusty than we might think.

I imagined more fresh and bright at the start :( , but can be an interesting option more studied for lovers of the orange, not as purely adolescent.

vtothek

This is very sugary, tooth decayingly sweet. It's like orange Fanta, or maybe orange candies, with some spicy musk thrown in the dry down. It's not a bad smell, just very adolescent. It's like something Victoria's Secret would release, not Hugo Boss. I liked it, but not enough to buy.

Aureliev

cocolove

Hugo Boss Orange is one of my favourite perfumes. It needs some time to settle down on my skin and then it´s a beautiful scent. In the beginning it smells very alcoholic and too citrusy. But when that´s gone, after a few minutes, the scent is subtle, bright and energetic.

I think the ad resembles the scent perfectly. It totally has some spontanious and happy vibe. The reason i love it so much, is because i can wear it during every season and it is suited for every situation and time of the day. Also i feel happy smelling my wrist when i´m wearing it. It´s so bright and energetic, but also kind of classy.

I especcialy love the drydown, which smells like orangeblossom. If you like subtle, easy-to-wear-scents, than give this one a try.

Tip: Use a little, otherwise you might smell like motor fuel...

The_Entity

Great frag for the summertime, if you are looking for a budget version of this, find Orange Fizz in the Love Hearts frag collection in Superdrug/Boots (uk)

nagia

It is great!
The bottle is beautiful, the add is lovely and Sienna Miller represents better than no one else the message of the scent.
The color orange always made me feel happy, and if this color could possibly smell like something, it would smell like this Hugo Boss perfume for sure.
It gives me more energy, makes me feel sparkly and happy. Spraying it is like a therapy when I'm feeling down.
It's perfect for a very carefree girl. It is sweet, it is fresh, it is vibrating.
Just one little advice: if you over spray it, you might just smell like urine, and I mean it!

fragaholic79

If you`re in the mood for a fresh vanilla without it being too sweet, boss orange is a good choice. I love how it smells different in the colder months. In summer its fruity with a slightly oily tinge to it, Its probably coming from the olive wood. I love that note in this composition. In the colder months it turns more fruity than woodsy with a hint of apple. It grew on me the more I used it. Very easy to wear, playful, casual yet special.Love the sleek modern bottle too.

specialk070581

I love this scent! To me it smells like cake - not in a sickening or overly sweet way, but in a cute and fresh way. On me its lasts about 4-5 hours, I do wish it lasted a bit longer but thats my only complaint!

samsara1977

Another impulsive buy... led by the adds and the name and the bottle.
First sniff is pleasant, apple, fresh, sprakling,.. .
After a couple of minutes this turns into the male perfume Boss (bottled).
I really likt this male version, in fact I even like it better than the Boss orange version so I would rather wear the Boss bottled then the Orange.

dovey

yukh.... I don't like it not a single bit!!!!
why would u wanna smell like orange anyway??
I think a (FOR HIM) edition of it might be interesting as a somehow citrusy summer fragrance for males......

Suzi

I really love it I would call it a soft floral it's subtle and understated in a good way the top note doesn't knock you out. It has a soft middle note finishing of to an almost slightly musky base it smells better as it dries off and it has great staying power. I put it on this morning and it is late afternoon and I can still smell it. Also it is reasonably priced always a good selling point and a cool looking bottle ticks all the boxes for me.

belissena

why are you all searching for oranges??? Boss Orange is the name of a particular line in Hugo Boss fashion...the perfume contains apple notes, not oranges...
by the way, I like it very very much! and I agree with the comparison to lola - marc jacobs: on my skin they're nearly the same. love it on cold days

miriel

I like it. A little one dimensional but I like the bitter-sweet smell that is added to the orange flowers and vanilla. A casual fragrance. Could work well in the office.

Sita

For teenagers of the 90's this smells very much, in fact exactly like impulse vanilla spray.

Not an unpleasant smell, the apple gives it a clean shampoo / bathroom product type smell. The only thing that saves it from the complete ordinary is the orange flower note which hangs around after the dry down on my skin, only just noticeable over the full-on vanilla.

But if you are a perfume connoisseur my honest advice is save your money, there are a million and one super-cheap synthetic-vanilla based sweet perfumes like this out there.

stanfoz

whenever i wear this perfume people always comment how lovely i smell. it reminds me a bit of marc jacobs lola but is more vanilery and soft.i have had 2 bottles and will definately get another one next spring. the bottle is beautiful and i love the spiritual element to this also.love sienna millers energy and enthusiasm for life

Yamba1

I've come home this afternoon hot, sticky and most definitely out of sorts. All I want is a cool shower and to test a new perfume that may give me the lift I desperately need. Boss Orange seemed a good bet.
I'm not getting as much 'orange' as I would expect given its name. Its fresh, fruiy floral but on me more like a veil which frustrates me. Why make something so subtle you have to glue your nose to your wrist to keep checking it's there? One gets the impression HB has made this to order based on a corporate/marketing 'scoping' exercise that has determined a certain percentage of the perfume-buying population are in the market for a clean modern scent that won't offend. If this was their brief they have captured it perfectly, however it is not one that I would rush out to buy.
I guess I'm still out of sorts....
