Paradiso by Roberto Cavalli is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women. Paradiso was launched in 2015. The nose behind this fragrance is Louise Turner. Top notes are Citruses, Mandarin Orange and Bergamot; middle note is Jasmine; base notes are Cypress, Pine Tree and Laurels.

The new pillar fragrance from Roberto Cavalli and Coty is Paradiso, out on the market in February 2015. The new fragrance is a refined, carnal, sensual and very feminine, but also relaxed and carefree holiday scent. It is designed to highlight the natural charm of women and to help women feel attractive.

“Paradiso is about a moment of happiness. I wanted to give a feeling of that instant when you feel totally at ease,” said Cavalli to wwd.

Paradiso is announced as a floral - woody fragrance of the Mediterranean and as a heavenly bouquet that opens with citrus notes of bergamot and mandarin, blending with the floral heart of jasmine. The composition ends with warm woody accords of cypress, parasol pine and pink laurel. The fragrance was created by Louise Turner.

The bottle design, signed by Eva Maria Duringer, is inspired by the many facettes of diamond, as well as different aspects of a woman’s personality. Model Edita Vilkeviciute is chosen to be the face of the perfume, representing modern Eve in the Garden of Eden. The campaign is shot by Mario Sorrenti.

The fragrance is available as 30, 50 and 75 ml Eau de Parfum.

Still thinking of buying it because
1.Great lasting power on my skin
2. I feel like I have smelled this before. feels familiar
3. Feminine not girly
4. Classy
To me it's a great classic jasmin perfume

Not sure if I want it to be my signature scent because I have a weakness for vanilla
And semi gourmand/gourmand perfumes . It's hot most of the year where I live so seems like it could be an all year round perfume . Not sure if it smells too mature or dated . . Let's see

Pocahontas94

Роберто кавалли всегда представляет очень качественно и со свусом собранные ароматы. При том, что я не люблю ноту жасмина,данный аромат мне дико нравится , это о многом говорит))

toosimilar

Just horrible
Super synthetic and sharp citrus, kinda fougere
This is purely for the adepts of smells from the magazines

Side note: i was so intrigued by its name, but it's not my Paradiso, definitely :D

I often get compliments from my friends on this perfume. I wear it every day. Bought it blind because it was on sale and had good reviews saying it's a good everyday perfume. To me it smells basic and boring at first, but after a minute on the skin it gets a clean, elegant, creamy smell, but with depth. It reminds me of the feeling after the rain. I can rarely really smell it on myself but I guess it has some lasting power as I get compliments on it. definilty recommend it if you're looking for an everyday perfume that's good for any occasion and is kind of prefect- it's understated and unobtrusive but smells great, has character .

MadameMerola

It is a love at first sniff for me and this was a total blind buy from an online store having sales. I adore this particular scent combination and the top notes reminds me strongly of Jour D’Hermes Absolu.

I am surprised how strong it is because I was expecting it to be mild. In the past, I would not have liked this type of scent but thanks to the onslaught of overly sweet fragrances from perfume houses in the past couple of years for women, I appreciate avid value these type of scents that allow you to stand out in a crowd, smell sophisticated and alluring at the same time.

What a shame it has been discontinued. I will search for a back up bottle for sure. It’s a big love from me. Longevity and sillage are great in a warm climate like mine.

Sillykn

A beautiful scent in a gorgeous bottle. Wish the citrus opening stayed around longer. I get lots of compliments when I wear this even if I haven resprayed it and its been a full day at the office. If someone told me I would love a perfume with such a strong pine note I wouldn't have believed you.

For the price you get a good longlastig and projecting performance.

Rayan Abusrour

This is one of my top favorite perfumes!
I mean are you kidding me!!! Fresh yet sexy yet delicious yet clean. Omg this has it all.
I’ve never thought of buying it, but I got it as a gift last year and oh boy did I bought another bottle.
I will definitely buy more since I’ve heard it’s discontinued.
The opening of this perfume is very fresh, and the dry down is on the masculine side for me (which I’m definitely not mad about)
I love it. Perfect for the office since it starts fresh and clean and becomes a bit more sophisticated and woody by the end of the day.

I am enjoying getting to know this scent. It's working well in the high-summer heat of Virginia! The crispness of the citrus and evergreen keep it from becoming cloying or too much. It's interesting reading the varied opinions on it, as well as the description at the top of the Paradiso page. The adjectives are kind of all over the place - it's feminine, it's masculine, it's carnal, it's green, it's cool, it's warm, it's Mediterranean, it's beachy... Personally I don't associate the beach with evergreens... Seems this fragrance is open to interpretation whatever your frame of reference is! I've never been to the Mediterranean, but have a strong affinity for Atlantic beaches, and this scent doesn't remind me of a beach vacation at all. My mind goes to summer in Maine, or the Great Lakes. It fits nicely into a daytime summer wardrobe when many scents are just too thick for the "close" humidity of the southeast US. It's just really pretty. The greenness and woodiness feel more mature, more "me", than a fruitier take on summer. The jasmine does not overwhelm me, it's all just really nicely blended - there's not a particular note that stands out. The bottle is lovely, as is the price! The name "Paradiso", and my idea of paradise, doesn't really fit what I'm getting from this scent. In my little world, this fragrance is elegant, refreshing and fitting for a sticky southern summer. Like a tall glass of (lightly) sweetened iced tea with lemon! :)

Oh so sharp. Very headache inducing for such a basic jasmine.

Adrian_foroozandeh

One of the best perfumes of all time. It gives me feeling of tranquility every time I wear it.

This was a blind buy. It’s very pretty but very strong. The citrus is bright and sweet in the opening. The jasmine really shines and is a beautiful sweet and powdery star! I don’t get too much cypress and pine in the dry down, but adds a bit of freshness. I think in the summer heat it would be too cloying and possibly headache inducing. I will break this out come fall or spring.

Edited: I’ve been wearing it for a few hours, both the cypress and pine have really come through and has turned very masculine on my skin. Still very fresh but lacks any sweetness. Still very strong and even after trying to wash it off I can still smell it.

This was a blind buy purchase based on review from a trusted YouTube fragrance influencer. I was intrigued by the combination of scents and was hoping for a new fresh fragrance to wear in the summer. To my nose, this has a very vintage profile - it reminds me of certain scents from the 1980s. I enjoy woody florals, but this one turned very masculine and green on me. It's a lovely jasmine, but on my skin the laurels and cypress dominate. This is a beautifully blended perfume and smells way more expensive than it costs. The scent reminds me of what a sophisticated Italian woman would wear as she goes shopping or to the market. It's way too powerful of a scent for me, I sprayed it twice (one spray on each wrist) and it almost gave me a headache. I think on the right person this would be a beautiful scent and I could see a man or woman wearing it on a hot summer day. Sadly, not for me.

Krásna, kvetinová a veľmi sexi.

What I sort of envisioned, and it's really growing on me. Heady, happy, energetic vibe. The pine thing is actually really cool. The air freshener comparison is not completely untrue, but it's a top shelf air freshener that makes you want to stay in the car all day, enjoying the invigorating citrus, fresh pine, and pretty white florals 🥰

johannarache

I HATE THIS FRAGRANCE! I made the mistake of buying this based on its top notes, yeah, I know, what an amateur?! the drydown to me is very plastic-y and makes me nauseous as well as gives me a headache and its fraking eternal too! I could smell it on a sweater a month after I wore it and after being washed too.
Don't spray it too heavily though.

I HATE IT but it if you dont its pretty worth the money as it really is eternal and has pretty good sillage.

mybabyjenna

Fresh, clean and pretty.
Irish spring soap with a hint of pine?
Actually,
I smell exactly what they have listed in the notes.
Great price too!

Being the OG, this, obviously, contains the basic DNA of the Paradiso line and sets the tone for the rest of the range. (I believe it's the cypress that is actually the backbone of this DNA.) To me, this is a light, comforting, simple floral that is lady-like, understated, and quite sexy because of the quietness that it has. That being said, yes, it doesn't project loudly but it creates a nice scent bubble for me to enjoy for about 6-7 hours. It's perfect for everyday office wear, but also somehow evokes that feeling of wanting to go on a vacation because it smells so relaxed despite being mainly a floral perfume.

Compared to Azzuro, like I said they share the same lovely DNA but, Azzuro has more pronounced citrus notes. It also has aquatic and woody tones to it that make it somehow the "tomboy" sister of the original Paradiso. I hope to collect the entire line because I believe my skin loves this DNA.

At first spray I thought that this was the perfect dupe for YSL Libre. I've had Libre for a while and love that intoxicating scent, but always feel guilty when using it since it costs so much monies. I sprayed them side by side, and Paradiso is almost identical, but the scent is lighter. While Libre stays pretty linear on me, Paradiso has a drydown that reminds me of a body spray? It happens after about 3 hours. It just feels like kind of the generic, Wal-Mart brand version of Libre. The initial scent is still there lingering but all I can think of is how watered-down it feels. I think it's the jasmine, there's just a bit too much of it. I love jasmine but on me it often ends up smelling slightly sweaty. Which is a bit disappointing cause I had such high hopes for this one on first sniff. It becomes a skin scent at around the same time that the scent morphs. It's also winter though, and this is definitely a summer fragrance, so I'm not giving up yet!! The fragrance itself is gorgeous and I would say it's the closest to Libre that I've ever seen. 8/10 just because I wish it had better sillage/longevity.

ava96

I really liked this at first spritz, to the point of saying I adore it. After a few months I'd say that I like it.
It's fresh and clean, it would be appropriate for a beach holiday or any summer holiday really. Or working at the desk while wishing you were on holiday... There are no specific notes that I can call out to be honest - I wouldn't say it's particularly citrusy nor particularly woody. But it's a really pleasant perfume.

lulu169

the ultimate most SEXY PERFUME in my entire 800+ collection!! I'm wearing this on first dates or whenever I want to seduce a guy 😈❤Cavalli just knows how to make jasmine DIRTY 😈😈

This is an absolute LOVE for me. I was intrigued by the combination of jasmine, citrus, and greenish conifer notes. I feel like you don't see that combination in feminine targeted perfumes as much. Or at least I don't have anything else that smells quite like this in my collection. It really does remind me of my time in Italy. I imagine myself wearing this while sipping limoncello in the summertime, wearing an elegant sundress. This feels well blended to me and the longevity is surprisingly good! I've been enjoying it now, but I can't wait to wear this in the spring/summer. Some are saying that it could work in cooler weather because of those conifer notes, but it really does remind me of Mediterranean spring/summer. But I enjoy it so much I'll probably wear it year-round anyway!

Joamy

For the first 30 mins it's sweet (not gourmand); jasmine sweet. It's not cloying because it's balanced by citrus and pines. I would say it's 1:1:1 in the dry down of floral:citrus:green.

This is unique and feminine.

If you like floral/ oriental, you could blind buy this.

It's more of crowd pleasing/ balanced version of the original Roberto Cavelli IMO (the original is sickly sweet).

arizonaruby

Love this! The bottle and name suggests it’s a summery tropical perfume but instead it’s predominantly a white floral with a strong dose of cypress and pine. Because of those notes I’d say it’s more suited to autumn or winter. I find it really unique among designer perfumes, and if I smelled it blind I’d guess it was a niche. Performance is really good on me, easily 6+ hours. A compliment getter.

Adrian_foroozandeh

در عین سادگی، بسیار زیباست
Although this perfume is simple, it is very nice and long lasting. It gives me comfort and tranquility. 💓

Fragnant

I got it based off of the pine note relatively uncommon in perfumes. You get an initial blast of luxurious bergamot. By the 12 hour mark (yes, this will linger on clothes), I got choked out by the sweetness. And that’s how you fall out of love with a fragrance. Paradiso had potential; such a shame.

Kcbear28

Put the juice in a different bottle from a fancy perfume house, label it 3 times the original price, I’d still buy it. LOVE

MarieBie

Unpopular opinion but I find it more suitable for the autumn - this perfume goes great with the smell of a leather jacket. It's too loud for summer, too obviously citrus-y and green.
Keep in mind that it has a retro feel to it.

likesleet

citrus cupcake, but not in a young way. this is still very mature

Lindsconn

Paradiso is a great summer fragrance. It’s performance is brilliant for its low price tag. It’s mainly jasmine and citrus with a green edge to it. For nights out in the summer it is perfect!

The only downside I find the bottle a bit big and gaudy. It’s heavy and impossible to bring with you for resprays, even if you only buy the 50ml.

It definitely has similarities to YSL Libre, so if you like that fragrance I think you would love this!

aldinatic

This is perfect for summer, I will always repurchase!
It has this wonderful seaside vibe.
I feel so vibrant, joyfully and happy while wearing it.
Its also great for summer to fall transition.
It's a calming blend of al the listed notes, most prominent sweet jasmine pine. Its unique and cant be compared to anything on the market.
Its hard to create a aromatic perfume which stays feminine...
Great job to al the creators of this beauty
Thank you
The packaging is also a gem 👑❤️🏝️

Itsmellslikewoah

I love this perfume for the jasmine floral notes. Though I couldn't smell the citrus notes in the begining at all. Though I did get a hint of pine after a while, for me it continued to smell like a pretty floral perfume the whole time. It lasts a good few hours as well. I think I would have liked it a little more if it had warmer notes in the base. At the same time I think the foresty base notes carry the jasmine really well. So overall, not bad but would not call it my favourite either.

FaithHopeLove

After reading the notes for this perfume, I couldn’t get it out of my head and went ahead and ordered a bottle. I was really hoping for a fresh fragrance that smelled like arborvitaes as another reviewer mentioned, or at least had the freshness of pine and cedar. I have to say I’m a little disappointed because I really don’t get those notes at all. My son has a bottle of Wakening Woods of Scandinavia, and I was really hoping this would be sort of a more feminine version of that. Instead, I was immediately reminded of Trussardi Donna, which I already have and find too fruity and cloying. I like this better than Donna, but still, I’m not thrilled with the similarity. I also agree it has some note that smells like Amarige, at least near the opening. In the dry down I get a little bit of Sand and Sable or one of the 90s Marylin Miglin scents, maybe Destiny? It’s not bad, and I kind of like it, but it really feels too heavy to me to be a summer scent. When I think summer, I think clean, light, airy, fresh, but not too masculine. There is also a bit of salty accord at the very end (hours later) that bugs me. I’m not a fan of salty notes in fragrance because I equate salt with sweat. I think most people use perfume to smell fresh and avoid smelling like sweat, so I really don’t get why manufacturers add salt notes. Admittedly, this is only the second day of trying it, so maybe it will grow on me. As a side note, I also ordered a mini of Vince Camuto’s Capri, and at first sniff, I found it much more along the lines of what I’m looking for: a clean, almost laundry clean, fresh, soft, airy type of scent. I really wish I would have gotten a full bottle of that!

DariaFrancesca74

Paradiso by Roberto Cavalli created by the nose Louise Turner is a citrus summer fragrance; evokes a luxuriant citrus grove overlooking the mare nostrum, surrounded by the Mediterranean scrub rich in floral notes just hinted at jasmine to the more lively and aromatic ones of laurel, chypre and woody accords of cypress and pine. Fresh scent that brings in the light and warmth of the Mediterranean summer. Aromatic / woody sillage. Good durability.

elsakoc

I smell a strong ylang in this, it is very yellow floral to me. i am suprised that it doesnt have a ylang note because it definitely resembles eau moheli and amarige. i would describe it as soft spicy and yellow floral, like not a sharp ylang but a soft, clean ylang, almost even creamy. i think the resemblance to sylvaine delacourte is very on point, and i see that i am not the only one detecting some ylang in this. delacourte style elegancy and simplicity is present here. also DİOR GRAND BAL !! now that it settles down on my skin i think it resembles dior grand bal. love it. just combined it with jo malone peony blush suede and the result is fantastic i recommend it.

Izabela2705

Blind bought it a while ago because of the bottle, reviews and price. I'm still learning about the ingredients combination and this is where it goes wrong at times. I don't know, I was expecting something fresh and it is, but on the masculine side. I do like to experiment and give a new scent a chance but after a few times wearing it, my husband said it's really strange on me. I sprayed the perfume on his arm and... Om my goodness, it was sooooo nice. I was constantly grabbing his hand to bring it up to my nose for a sniff. It wouldn't suit any man, only those who are in touch with their feminine side hence it ended up on his shelf.

Lillie7

This is the TWIN perfume for YSL LIBRE!! But WITHOUT the heavy note that cause headache and nausea for some people.

Fashionplatefanny

This is LOUD!!! It’s not a citrus!! It’s 100% a white floral fragrance. The main note that can be smelt here is the jasmine and it is loud! It’s very in your face, very synthetic. White floral note made tolerable by the slightly piney base. It’s very fresh but not in a citrus way. More in a cleaning product way.

This is not a safe blind buy. It is definitely not suitable for wearing in a hospital or clinical setting unless you want to kill your patients by suffocating them or causing migraine and nausea. It’s not office friendly either. Anyone like myself who can not tolerate white florals may be repulsed buy this one. I find it just tolerable due to the pine. It is a summer fragrance. Summer date day/night spent outside or a festival fragrance. It’s not something you’d wear on a sexy or intimate date or to a nice restaurant. It’s just too artificial and loud smelling for that.

Eveningrose

The citrus fades quick for me and what you are left with is jasmine and pine. I am not complaining. It smells like a fresh floral to me ! I think I can wear it all year round but especially spring and summer ! A keeper 😍

monce11bt

For me this is how Italy smells. The most intense scent I get is from the white florals, jasmine in this case, but I also get some orange blossom and definetly a touch of ylang ylang on my skin. I don't think that this is a citrus fragrance, this is an intense white floral scent, meant for summer days and nights, traveling the mediteranean.

sunnydays

I blind bought this as I usually like gormand but wanted to get something fresh for summer. When I first smelt this, I wasn't 100% sure as it's quite zingy and without the normal vanilla base notes many of my other fragrances have. However I now pretty much where this everyday and I adore it. I dries down super fresh and isn't migraine inducing like I thought it might be.

It's very crisp and fresh. Smells like sipping a sparkling gin and tonic in the summer. I have grown to really love Gypsy Water too and although this isn't a dupe at all, it does give similar vibes thanks to the pine needles and zesty fruit.

It also lasts really really long on me.

SusanTheTeach

This smells so beautiful in the warmer weather. I didn't like it (admittedly....at all) when I first got it. The Cypress & Laurel Leaves were dominating and it was very pungent, masculine, and sharp with a kitchen cleaner vibe. I tested in early spring with weather in the 70s. I was extremely disappointed with the blind buy based off of YouTube reviews. But.....I just tested again for the 3rd or 4th time, it is much warmer than when I first tested it (in the 90s today), and now it is honestly gorgeous! It is now so rounded, smooth, and much sweeter with a creamy Jasmine being the prominent note. It smells very classy and much less green than when I first wore it. So glad that I didn't declutter it! I think I will be wearing this a lot the next few months!

stacia79

Mmmm reminds me of Redken hair care products from the 1980s. An herbal aromatic floral. I think the jasmine and cypress make a killer combination here!

CandyButterfly

I bought this perfume as a blind buy based on the suggestion of a YouTube influencer I really like. She is well traveled in the Mediterranean region, and said this fragrance reminded her of the air on the island of Cyprus. I was intrigued and bought it given I thought the bottle was attractive and the v price was quite affordable. Although I recognize that this is a good quality juice, over time I've learned I personally do not like a woody citrus accord in fragrances when it dominates other notes. On my skin and to my nose, a strong woody citrus accord leans more masculine than I typically choose to wear. Having said all of that, for the right person, this would be a very nice quality fragrance at a bargain price.

This smells great! On my skin, it's super clean, sweet, somewhat green and very fresh. Perfect for hospital or clinical settings. This is what I've been looking for--an affordable chypre-like perfume with zero powder. My mother wore these type of scents back in the day. Smells classic.

Search and Discover

Après-beach! I'm getting a very fresh, slightly sweet, clean tropical scent from this. It reminds me of the sensation of being on summer vacation: coming in from a day at the beach, taking a shower to wash off the salt and sand, and standing by the balcony overlooking the sea before you put your dinner dress on.

Very surprised there aren't any "aquatic notes" listed, as I definitely get a blue/water feel that provides freshness. Also, a faint hint of salt spray that dries out the composition. Maybe the citrus notes are under there, but I don't get citrus specifically. The pine is very light, and so well blended that it doesn't smell sharp or too masculine at all.

There's also a slight "tropical flower" note like frangipani or plumeria, as if you caught a slight whiff off a high-end suntan lotion on the breeze ... I guess that must be the jasmine, but it's creamier than a typical jasmine note, so if you don't like strong jasmine, don't worry. It is prominent in the dry-down on clothing, however.

All together, the perfect summer fresh perfume, light and elegant and happy. Totally unisex, I would think.

Ines65

Call me crazy but I'm getting an 80's vibe. It reminds me of Amarige.

Queen of torts

Had this in my collection for a while and ignored it. Wore it today and as soon as I caught a whiff I thought it smelled like Libre EDP but maybe not as strong and yet not as citrusy as the EDT. Clearly others here think so as well. Beautiful if you like Libre by YSL. Definitely going to give this more wear.

JasminePetal

In love with this one! The combination of fresh citrus, with jasmine, and fresh forest is just wonderful. The freshness gives it a special vibe without becoming green at all. It's blended expertly well, I can still distinguish invidual notes even after hours. Probably my new favourite! I saw some reviews mentioning it's more unisex/masculine, but I can't confirm that at all. I think it's a rather feminine sensual scent with a bit of forest character and citrus zest.

Claire brad

Bought this as a cheapie for everyday but ended up giving to my daughter as i never reached for it over my others.

My daughter always complains that nothing projects on her. I accompanied her to a watch a rugby match and let me tell you foe the price over expensive niche, this stuff projects like crazy, outside she was projecting everywhere.

Its win win for me as she loves the compliments and it also saves me a lot more when she wants a backup.

AneG

Special, Sensual and Unique.

This one is quality with good different ingredients that make this fragrance one of the best blind buy.

It brings up citruses, woody and green notes, which makes most believe this is a male fragrance but jasmine balances it and connects top and base notes so nicely. Outstanding and not boring. Happy with this one.

amberwaves

Right off the bat I’m hit with dense, vibrant fruit. like fat peach wedges canned in syrup or chunky cubes of mango, made tart with a dash of citrus notes. The green and floral notes are there, keeping it from being straight fruit juice but just barely. It’s a warm sticky scent like you’ve polished off the peaches while sitting in a clearing of dappled sunlight with sprays of white flowers nearby and you’re now fiddling with a fallen sprig of pine needles, rubbing them between your fingers until the pine sap mingles with the dried syrup. It’s not exactly what I would describe as fresh, but instead the word ripe is what I think of. This isn’t bright or airy, it’s lush and saturated. it doesn’t give you the space that fresher fragrances do. It’s thick, sweet and fleshy like you can practically sink your teeth into it and end up with juice dripping down your chin while fat nectar drunk bees hover nearby.

the name is certainly appropriate because this is the smell of lush, indulgent, tropical excess. I can definitely see this being too much for people, not necessarily in its strength but just in its sweetness. It’s right on the edge of being so sweet its sour, and if you oversprayed it would stop feeling like paradise and more like one of those beaches where monkeys get drunk off fermented fruit and end up lying around with full bellies and half lidded eyes.

This is the kind of smell that makes you feel like you’d attract hummingbirds if you wore too much of it outside. It makes you understand why some people call fruit nature’s candy. It’s nectar and sap, and the base let’s it stay that way, lacking anything that dries it out or grounds it like woods or musk. In that way it is a bit linear, and it takes on a quality after a few hours that won’t be for everyone. It’s the aftermath of indulgence. The juice on your chin has dried, greedy ants are drowning in the peach syrup, you’re sleepy and may even have a bit of a tummy ache. You’ve gotten a week’s worth of vitamin c but also a week’s worth of sugar in one sitting. Since the smell thins out over time and isn’t anchored by anything it can almost smell like you spilled breakfast juice on yourself a few hours ago and it’s since dried. and if worn at night it might feel like you've just had one too many beachy cocktails.

It’s hedonistic and because of that it’s appropriately unbalanced, I don’t feel like this is an all day or all night fragrance. This is something you spritz on to smell gorgeous for a few hours while it’s in its prime and then you come home from lunch for a siesta or you jump in the pool or the ocean after a party at a villa on the beach at night. I can’t really imagine this being someone’s signature as it’s built for a holiday. Spray it on and sweat or swim it off, repeat as needed. I feel like if you wore this in an office or something it would be out of place and wouldn’t make it through a full day without going overripe or even stale. It would be like drinking out of a pineapple with a little umbrella in it while sitting at your desk.

if you’re all about fruity sweetness or want to sample the excess of a tropical paradise in a bottle I’d say go for it but this definitely isn’t for everyone, it’s bold and stubborn and doesn’t compromise its theme by throwing you a bone in the form of a fuller heart or more conventional dry down. This brings you to a place you may not want to stay for that long, but doesn't have the most stellar projection or longevity anyway. holidays aren’t meant to last forever.

PerfumeEmpress

I was able to get this from EBay for a good price. I'm glad I did. This is what I look in a perfume lately. Woody, pine-y, fresh, aromatic with a bit of citrus. Perfect. It's such a relief from the immature, unsophisticated fruity syrupy messes that have been inundating the market for waaaaay too long now.

I get no end of compliments, too. Everybody - age, gender immaterial - wants to know what I'm wearing.

laperfumamor

Paradiso is a boozy citrus that brings to mind beachside salt-rimmed cocktails and warm white sand. White luxury swimwear paired with diamond drizzled Cartier watches. It’s a refreshing and clean smelling tart summer citrus.

This scent is unisex in my opinion; the citrus in it is ungendered. However, there are none of the musky notes usually attributed to men’s fragrances in Paradiso.

Longevity: Stayed on my skin for 12 hours. I’m impressed at the wear for its price point.

Sillage: With everyone wearing masks due to the pandemic, I’ll have to revisit this aspect of my review.

All in all, I’m impressed and in love!

karinatfragrantica

This is an absolute love. Exactly what I want in a summer perfume: it is elegant, classy, citrusy in the opening but not the bathroom cleanser type of citrus. And the combination with pine and cypress and just the right amount of white florals is perfect. And on top of it the sillage and lasting power are also really good. I catch beautiful whafts all day, really fantastic. Beautiful heavy glass bottle and great value for money. What more to ask for? I finally found my perfect summer daytime fragrance!

But no safe blind buy as it might be a bit too much on the aromatic side for some.

Ravenrage

At first I disliked it a lot, now I like it enought to be able to use it.
Fresh, floral, little bit like a washing product. This time it smells more feminine to me. A simple no-brainer, perfectly alright for the price. Sadly, there are no pines in there for me, I was hoping for something more piney.

I went from regret to "ok, I can use this, it is nice".

Update: It is kinda boring and synthetic.

brightsun2205

Paradiso is such a beautiful, uplifting, clean, fresh, floral and woody scent that can be worn all year round. Excellent lasting power.

It also lasts for days on clothes.

YuliaLB

Screechy white floral to my nose.
Not smooth.

I am a jasmine lover and I really wanted to love this one but when I compared it to others I have I decided to give it to a family member.

In the future I really want to try others from the Paradiso line (their listed notes make it seem like they are a bit more smooth) as I really do love the hint of cypress and pine I detect, but not enough to keep this one.

If you want a slight tropical jasmine from Roberto Cavalli, I do recommend to try Just Cavalli.

Anomis_di_Fresia

You spray it and suddenly feel enveloped in a Roman toga. In the crook of your arm, you carry a basket full of citrus fruits and wear jasmine blossoms in your hair, you stroll through the Forum Romanum and inhale the scent of the divine cypresses.
A summer fragrance that endures time just like the monuments in Rome and suits every passionate, assertive woman that is bursting with grace and embraces femininity.

alexz_88

If I could wear one fragrance for the rest of my life, this Roberto Cavalli would be the one. I absolutely love it. I get mostly jasmine with a little bit of citrus, and then it goes full mode woody on me (definitely pine). The projection and longevity are perfect. I think this is one of those perfumes that, if you enjoy complements, you're gonna get a ton.
I agree with Lindsconn - the 50ml bottle is pretty heavy, so if you want to take it with you somewhere, get a smaller size or it's gonna feel like you have a rock in your purse.

Lindsconn

This is one of my favourites for summer nights out. It’s a heavy mix of citrus, Jasmine and pine which has amazing projection and longevity!

The only downside is even at a 50ml the bottle is a bit too bulky and heavy, as I’m someone that likes to bring my perfume with me if I go out.

Besides from that I really recommend, especially for the price! It’s a very sexy and feminine fragrance, something that every summer fragrance wardrobe needs!

paytonstafania

Just recieved today and I'm in love! This is very beautiful for the climate I'm in (ghana). Its very refreshing but definitely gives me white floral vibes. It also remind me of santorini neroli water from Victoria secret but stronger and more projection. The bottle is pretty cute too

Pia61

Very pretty, I would say more for summer time fragrance. Reminds me little bit of Escada summer fragrances yet this is not so strong and sweet, as they are. Very affordable, feminine, sexy.

perfumeaddict97

This is a lovely, refreshing, summery fragrance. It's very nice on hot days, when you want something that smells feminine and not too cloying. It gives a summer vacation type of vibe. If you pay attention, you will notice that it has a nice, clean and soapy scent.
I actually find this perfume, along with the others in the range, to be quite sexy and feminine. The performance is excellent too, which to me is very important in a nice-smelling fragrance.
I find you don't need all the Paradiso perfume range; you could choose two. I actually have all at home but Gemma di Paradiso, which I am yet to try (quite contradicting to my advice😆).
This original one is slightly less aquatic and beachy than the Azzuro (blue), so if you like more aquatic, choose the other one. I find that that's the thing that makes this different from Paradiso Azzuro, besides the added soapiness in Azzuro - otherwise, they're almost the same.
If you like more spicy, warm - type of refreshing summery scents, try the Paradiso Assoluto (red), as this would suit your preference, and is more suited for night time.
I'm also really amazed by the quality for the price! It's probably safe for a blind buy if you haven't tried it yet ;)

AlexandraTroush

The same thing happens every single time. It sits in my perfume closet neglected for months, then suddenly I get an urge to spray it to finish the bottle faster, but when I actually spray it on I'm hit with this beautiful captivating scent and I think to myself- "wow! this is amazing! why don't I use it more often? I should get a back-up bottle asap!", only to never actually buy it. I'm always amazed and impressed by the smell when I spray it, but I don't often actually get to using it. I don't know why. I genuinely enjoy it.
What impresses me is how clean and fresh it smells, without that sour soapiness that I hate in Si, for example. Not even once have I regretted spraying it on, it never becomes overbearing or too much, it's always just right. It's a strong like, at least whenever I actually use it. I don't know why I keep forgetting about it.

Edit: my husband loves this one and keeps complimenting the way I smell when I wear it, so I might just repurchase a small 30ml bottle to wear when I want to make him happy.

renatabeko

I just purchased my 3rd bottle and I just feel like I need to say something regarding all your negative reviews.
1. is not that expensive. I just got it for 50$ at the Lulu Hypermarket.
2. it does not smell like "fake juicy soap". I has one of the most authentic and classic luxury smells.
3. "smells like car freshener" - From Someone who buys perfumes in a "rush" . Nah, is not even close to any car fresheners i ever tried. If that is true, please tell me which car freshener is it smelling like, i would love to purchase it.
4. "his fragrance should be in the 10-20 $ range" WHAATTTT ??!!! :O

I need to mention that I am someone who does not enjoy wearing super sweet juicy couture, bimbo style, suffocating kind of perfumes. I enjoy more toned down long lasting fragrances. So in my humble opinion, if you are someone who just wants to smell classy with a strong note of jasmine feminine touch, you should pick this perfume. BUT!! Always try the perfume on your skin first.

Tanya Bureva

Very fresh summer perfume!
I am buying today bottle number 5 for the last 4 years for my daughter.
On her long hair Paradiso lasting all day! All the time when i am near to her I am asking did she been sprayed from the perfume now .
This is a long lasting, natural aroma of cirtus, flowery and pine mixture send you in the Paradice!

Liene

In Paradiso very aromatic cypress and jasmine dominates, and there is some fruity citrus in the mix. Full potential kicks in some two hours when aromatic notes warm up on the skin and add different angles to slightly shampoo-y (or rather hair-spray-y as the scent is quite dry) jasmine.
Although there are fresh and nice laurel and also some slightly woody, yet green pine in the background, nothing really grounds Paradiso. That jasmine is dense, loud and sexy, however it doesn't get nasty or tasteless. I think it's bay leaf, which does it, as in my experience anything camphorous makes the fragrance very bold and dense (especially floral notes).

This is a summer holiday/vacation scent or for days on-the-go; office inappropriate. Also better for windy hot climates, seaside and dry heat as humidity and tropical climates would make this unbearable. Definitely daytime, but could take you to/through the night. Head-turner, so not for everyone I guess. Test, if in doubt.
Heavy sillage for four hours, moderate for three more, some five inch trail around the skin for some three more. Impressive!

Scents wise this is way better than Paradiso flankers, which in my opinion tries too hard. This fragrance embodies Roberto Cavalli aesthetics. Vitality is its main trait.

Amnaa

First tones remind me of a little piece of paradise - on a beautiful beach somewhere far away. After a while it becomes very clean, even a little soapy, with a tiny hint of floral and fruitiness at the end. The last stage is powdery and slightly salty. A crystal clear fragrance perfect for summer! Has a slight projection that will follow you around but won't fill the room.

I brought this one to work so my friend could try it on herself. One month later she bought her own bottle. While trying it out our boss smelled it and immediately liked it as much as we do. If this isn't a proof that it's a great fragrance I don't what is :)

HeiLi

This is vile!!!!
I made the mistake to test the perfume based on the "other people who liked this also liked..."-bar.
Wherever I go, there is this scent of room freshener and toilet cleaner following me.... and it just won't wash off.
Never again!

MissDeeDee

I find it perfect for a summer (holiday) in nature. I believe the fragrance’s description of Roberto Cavalli himself matches, but I would emphasise on the refined vibe in that ease, carefreeness state that RC mentioned. It makes me feel sophisticated and relaxed despite the summer heat, when other girls look all faint.
Citrusy white floral juice that got character by the green woody cypress and pines; The jasmin keeps it feminine and the citrus keeps it fresh. Yes, you can be fresh, yet elegant, with this fragrance.

Dabarefootbombshell

I bought this by accident but I don't believe in accidents. I was looking for Gemma di Paradiso which is the vanilla flanker of this scent. I realized after the item shipped my mistake. I read the reviews online and was super bummed because this sounded like a dud. I got it and at first whiff I was not happy. Smelled like mayo or something. I decided to test it on the back of my hand I wasn't blown away first but after 10 minutes I was like "I see you trying to do some of that smell good action." After 20 minutes the salt from the Cypress hit and I was in major like. It does remind me of a milder version of Kenzo World Power which also has Cypress. I think this scent has potential but I will most likely layer it with some Wood, Sage, and Sea Salt by Jo Malone for some depth.

dessybg

Срахотен и свеж, пренася те веднага на морския вряг в изискан курортен комплекс. Не е сладък или цветен, по-скоро ароматичен.

GagMyFrag

It smells good, but very weak.
At first spray it's a fruity clean white floral cloud, a simple, yet effective concept which I can see a woman wearing at the office or out for lunch. Nothing too fancy or complicated but I guess thats why people like it, it has the same sort of vibe as Marc Jacobs Daisy as its just like a freshy florally everyday scent that really anyone can pull off.

The only thing is its SO weak, by weak I mean after 10 minutes on the skin its barely present unless I really push my nose up to it, and after 45 minutes it's nowhere. I guess its a good thing for some people? I mean it's not overhwhelming but its just nothing that anyone would pick up on.

JustSimpleThings

I put this on on top of Monotheme Fine Fragrances Agrumi Di Sicilia and OMG!!!!! An amazing summer combo! It's heavenly!

I think Agrumi tames the 'tutti frutti' note and makes the whole thing more sophisticated and multidimensional, but still light and summery. Give it a try if you live in NZ or Oz where you can get Monotheme fragrances at The Chemist Warehouse.

justfloral

After spraying: tropical fruits (with that overriped "almost paint thinner" tutti frutti note (that's how cypress or thuja "needles" smell). Pomegranate is here very prominent - it smells like Le Petite Marseilles Grenade shower gel.

After 15 minutes: I detect also green leaves, yellow water-lily, like a jungle full of exotic fruits without names. At this point it smells like another shower gel: Palmolive Thermal Spa Aqua Calm (with water-lily on bottle and excellent scent, no longer available :( ) And also like Aura by T.Mugler :) (like its basenotes not so sweet)

So try it if you love Aura TM.

maltatude

Tested this in store and loved it, then came back and was like... eh... then deliberated a year later and bought it because it was ridiculously cheap... I am loving this so much. I have another summer floral (Santa Maria Novella’s - Angels of Florence) and I get the same overall floral kick in Paradiso for a steal.

If you love expensive cream-like jasmine-floral scents, in that category with Angels of Florence, J’Adore, Ananda etc... you might enjoy this but from what I can see it doesn’t work for everyone so try it, walk away, smell it in the fresh air and let the breeze draw it to you.

The opening is all citrusy and stone fruit and something I can’t put my finger on. I find this pretty sophisticated and delicious for a non niche-market fragrance and can see myself enjoying some nice evenings in crisp linen shorts and a flowy but tailored blouse - it just speaks of understated but elegant warmer evenings watching open air cinema and sharing a cheese board as a semi-cool breeze sweeps through. When the scent settles after hours and hours it is gorgeous and worth waiting through all that stone fruit.

If you like white florals that end up almost like a luxe skin cream but definitely has a subtle tropical-floral element to it - this could be for you.

rekaoc

Love this smell. Tested it in store out of curiosity and then I kept coming back to it till I just had to buy it. No regrets. I completely lose the smell on me within the first hour but I’ve been complemented beyond that. So it’s still there only I can’t smell it. Isn’t that the sign of a good match? Anyway, I recommend it.

Rkzz84

I love this it lasts for so long, it’s unique and I always get complimented on it. It takes me to a tropical island and as strong as it is it’s not disgusting but I do normally do this at night mainly in summer. I absolutely love the bottle aswell it’s such good quality for the amount I paid for it, pretty heavy too so I wouldn’t travel with it.

i__asn

For some reasons, I adore this perfume.
You don't need to spray it too much. Few sprays will do the job and more than that (even on summer).
Makes women more attractive ;).
I would blindly recommend it for all women.

cookygirl

Wow, this was unexpectedly horrible on me.
I've read so many good reviews for this one but on me it is pure bug spray, heavy and suffocating.
Where are the citruses and the aromatic base notes?
Unfortunately this is a scrubber for me.

Mbrock

I have trouble with longevity with all Cavalli scents. I knew that going into this purchase so im not taking any points away for that. Just an fyi when I say I only get about three hours out of this, that is typical with me for Cavalli fragrances.
So this is jasmine mostly. Reminds me of J'adore in its class & that I think it can be worn every day & on most occasions but its more of a summer scent. I thought this was going to be more woodsy but its really just a back up, along with the citrus, to the jasmine. Over all a very pretty summery scent.

Mdox407

INTERESTING! INTRIGUING! A WEALTHY PERSON'S LAUNDRY DETERGENT!!

This one is very different. It's really good and very "outside the box." It's not what I expected to smell but looking at the notes as I smell my arm...those most definitely ARE the notes that I smell. I just didn't imagine the combination of notes to spit out this result.

Anyway, it's Jasmine, it's oranges, and the pine comes through in a major way as well. Those are the main players here.

Interestingly enough...my Mother was looking into "laundry hacks" recently because she loves for her laundry to come out of the washer & dryer with a strong, clean smell. (Which using only detergent and dryer sheets only leaves a gentle scent behind. Even those scented wax bead things don't make it strong enough for her.) And a couple weeks ago she told me how she read somewhere that mixing Pine-Sol in with your liquid laundry detergent will make your clothes come out smelling amazing and clean. Well...I've actually tried it a couple of times. And low & behold...the "pine" from the Pine-Sol mixed with detergent...smells very similar to this fragrance.

As much as I love the scent of this perfume...I must warn...(and this is coming from a chronic oversprayer)...THIS ONE IS STRONG!! Only use 2-3 sprays MAX! I like to do one spray on each arm and one spray on my neck and it projects 4 feet or so and lasts 6-8 hours depending on temperature.

Projection - 4 feet.

Longevity - 6-8 hours but will last 12-24 hours on clothes.

Overall Score - 8.5/10

Love this one! I also have the Paradiso Azzuro in the blue bottle which I love just as much. The Paradiso Assoluto in the red bottle I don't like so much. But they are ALL strong! I voted above with a like but it's a strong like.

AHeartLikeMine

Very floral. Almost makes me think of something faintly tropical. I can see this as a good summer scent for a very feminine woman who enjoys florals. It is not particularly fruity, so I am a bit disappointed by that, since I prefer fruity scents to floral ones.

Valensia

Citrus, fresh, floral. Sprayed on my wrist, 10 minutes later while leaving the store, I've already set my mind on ordering this as soon as I get home. 15 minutes later, thinking to myself this is so fresh, a real gem with great silage. 20 minutes later, the pine fully kicked in ...
Couldn't understand at first why it bothered me so much until it hit me. Spent the rest of my day trying to scrub it of my wrist.

In conclusion, great performance for a citrus-floral scent, but, I highly recommend to test it first, especially if your uncle had a pine air refresher in his bathroom.

Nataliemarie

This is nice. It's just not ground breaking, it smells like the DNA of most of the Juicys. Def like this better than the original. To me that one smelled like a bad 80's perfume. This is a much better improvement.

carrico1986

This is a beautiful bright scent. It reminds me of being at a fancy vineyard in Italy. I love the pine scent that comes through as well, very unique! It also lasts a good 4-5 hours.

Paradiso edp
One spray inner elbow
Summer, humid, cool windy day

I love the opening of this. Juicy bright floral with a lightness from citrus (rather than ‘fruit’), fresh-creamy, rounded, bright, lucious.
Now it tapers off into something else, floral, as if the leaves and branches are with it - no greenness however. Feels like floral woody, a bit dry.

After several hours: now I’m getting a dry, gently woody floral. Not the fresh type, Paradiso is still bright and fresh - just not the green or dew drop type of fresh.

Paradiso isn’t sweet, it has I suppose the same sort of flowers as Prada d’iris -though that’s waaay dryer. This is now floral a smidge green and gently woody.

annamaria_

I chose Paradiso as a gift to my best friend, who hates citrus. I decided to go for it, because the citruses here aren't your typical "bathroom cleaner citrus". She adored it, and it's now her signature scent.
Paradiso opens very fresh, with a tingling tangerine or mandarine orange (that's what I think it is, but it might be regular orange) and woods that stay very prominent throughout all the endurance of the scent. After a couple of minutes, the citruses fade to the creamiest jasmine I've ever smelled. It's not the usual green and slightly sweet white floral - it smells like an expensive jasmine scented face cream (do not let this statement discourage you from smelling this).
It is 100% ageless, 100% creamy and feminine, but at the same time not cloying.

Not exactly the scent I'd personally wear, but it's a well constructed, likeable and sexy perfume.

bibibling

I'm doing a side-by-side comparison of Paradiso on my left hand and Victoria's Secret Bombshell Paris on my right hand. Two sprays each.

Honestly they are about 90% the same in the opening.

Paradiso has a touch more citrus. Paris has an extra dose of jasmine of the slightly shrill kind. It could literally be a Paradiso flanker: "Paradiso Jasmin."

If you wait a few minutes, the jasmine in Paradiso begins to emerge and they smell even more similar. Like 95%. Now I can say Paradiso could be a flanker of Bombshell Paris: "Bombshell Paris Citrus Nights."

If you have one, you really don't need the other. Just pre-determine if you want a jasmine-cypress-woody blend with citrus notes or without, though there's a slight mandarinny feeling in Bombshell Paris too and I don't get any oakmoss at all.

They are both linear after the 1st 5 minutes so this is a short review.

I hope you guys don't mind I'm posting this review in both pages.

Gozdea

Really nice perfume, take so much compliments about it. Green and aromatic

Kadeen series

‘This is my all time favorite fragrance, it’s very fruity & has a summer vibes to it. This fragrance can be a signature scent. Not a lot of people know about it, at least in my country. When I do wear it; I get crazy amount of compliments & questions to what am I wearing. I must say though, the Azzuro has a more over powering scent to me than the Paradiso.

wendyfaithycl

this on me turns very harsh plasticy. i dont find anything creamy here. sone little bit of fruitiness mixed with skight sourness. it is a very glittering scent.i dont like it that much though, prefer something creamy.

missk

Roberto Cavalli is one mainstream designer house that I like to revisit every now and then. I own three fragrances from this brand already, and would never say no to adding more Roberto Cavalli scents to my growing collection.

Paradiso has been on the market since 2015, with many flankers following suit. This fragrance strikes me as a fruity floral rather than a floral woody musk. It has a very clean, citrusy shampoo vibe on my skin.

The citruses are quite sweet as opposed to sour in this composition. The heart of jasmine also adds some extra sweetness and femininity to an already clean, easy to wear scent. Paradiso is quite an apt name for this fragrance as it does bring to mind a tropical, warm and exotic destination through its crisp, fruity scent.

This fragrance smells similar to a pina colada towards the base, despite not having coconut as a note in its scent pyramid. It may be the combination of pine, cypress, and laurel playing tricks on my nose.

Paradiso lasts extremely well on my skin, with moderate to strong projection, depending on the number of sprays. I do enjoy wearing Paradiso, but at the same time, I wouldn't consider it one of Roberto Cavalli's best.

Mirabele

this opened up with modern woody non sweet citrus, and i thought what a nice summery everyday scent from that pretty bottle. unfortunately, it goes to right up jasmine solo song on my skin, which is too much for me. i am not a fan of jasmine, so i should have known. it turns a bit masculine as well and reminds me something from 90ies.
not for me unfortunetely.
the longevity is exceptionally good, i scrubed and scrubed and scrubed and it never went away.
try to all jasmine fans.
the bottle is so so gorgeous. lucky those who can enjoy the scent.

Seducianne

Quite simple everyday summer perfume, with remarkable lasting power for a citrus fragrance. Very good for the value!

arrowdk

I am new to Cavalli scents and I blind bought this perfume based on recommendations written right here on Fragrantica.
I love it from the citrusy opening to the slightly dirty jasmine (which lasts and lasts) until the woody base notes.
I also tried layering it with Dior Granville based on the base notes (mostly the pine). Really lovely effect, I can still smell a quite robus, slightly flowery, but mostly woody base some 16 hours later.

trabuquera

Hoped that this might be some sort of mythical unicorn-like niche-mimicking citrus at a budget price ... I've liked even some pretty blowsy Cavalli stuff in the past (Nero Assoluto did really well for its price point on me) so expectations were high.

A slightly masc-leaning citrus with green aromatics sounded GREAT ... if only Paradiso had played that role. But unfortunately this mutates on my skin into some sort of weird synthetic-melon note with unmistakeable kinship to cheap and over-scented cleaning/air freshener products. Didn't feel clean or invigorating on me at all. Soon after it also suddenly turned fake-fruity and sickly sweet (and I do like some jasmine scents, so it wasn't just a general anti-flower backlash.) Cheap and generic overall.

This does have very assertive projection and great longevity ... but I had to scrub it before finding its outer limits of performance, it was that cloying. Might try again some day, but this *so* was not the smell I was looking for.

M.Golightly

We all love fragrances don't we? Which is why we are here in Fragrantica reading reviews and trying to decipher our next fragrance adventure.

There are too many beautiful and complex fragrances now that sometimes I prefer.....to go the other direction and be quite simple.

Paradiso is something that is 'simple' in comparison to the other luxurious niche perfumes, but this is the reason why I think 'she' is interesting and SEXY. Uncomplicated green-floral-woodsy notes. The reviews here will tell you how they LOVE it or HATE it.

I simply LOVE IT!

This perfume is a creative way in bottling the Mediterranean spring summer air, in fact I can smell a hint of salt it. This is a fresh uplifting fragrance intended to take you outdoors....by the sea.....orchards.....jasmine fields.......with great longevity as well!

I simply LOVE IT!

Renee G

Wowza! This one is not playing! I definitely can see why a lot of wearers find this masculine, however I find it more unisex if anything. Also, tread lightly, this is potent. Like NO JOKE potent, the kind of potent that fills the elevator even when the old lady has left the building.

I love Cavalli, I love how bold and in your face he is. I love how every scent by him is a "Here it is, if you don't like it 'F' off".
Paradiso is a very strong and bold Italian Woman. She smells of citrus and cypress and Mediterranean sea and sun.
This one is a keeper for me. It is a far cry from the "safe" spring summer scents of tropical, and gives you a glimpse of how the other seaside towns hold it down.

Andrina72

PHEW!! Where to start?

This is maybe the best blind-buy I've ever made! I'm typically a fan of Cavalli's offerings, so I figured it was a pretty safe blind-buy... but I had no idea I was about to stumble on something so special.

First of all, I have to say that the the marketing material is a bit ridiculous and misleading. Calling it Paradiso,
putting a parrot in the photos and referring to it as a "holiday scent" gives the impression you're getting something sweet, beachy & tropical. Nope!!

Paradiso may be a holiday scent... but it's not a beachy holiday in the tropical sense. It's a holiday on the Adriatic or Mediterranean coast... and maybe even a bit inland. It's a citrus orchard on the edge of an evergreen forest, next to a house with blooming jasmine, not far from the sea.

While it opens up with a lot of beautiful and fresh citrus, the pine & cypress are also immediately present. This makes it so clean & crisp - it actually reminded me a bit of Irish Spring soap that I remember from my childhood.

As the citrus & wood settle down a bit (after about 30 mins), I could sense the jasmine ever so lightly.

Eventually it dries down to something a bit warmer and less fresh. The jasmine & wood notes combine to create something ultra feminine and soft. (almost a bit powdery for me)

The bottle is also a thing of beauty. It's truly like a large diamond. So not only does it smell gorgeous, it's also lovely to look at on your dressing table.

While I own many many fragrances, I find that I'm never really excited about my "Summer perfumes". I'm more of a warm, spicy, BIG, fragrance kinda gal. Well, Paradiso gives me that vibe, that I like so much about my Winter perfumes, in a summery scent. I absolutely see this becoming my signature this Summer... if not every Summer from now on.

Sillage - 9/10
Longevity - 10/10 - edited from 8/10 to 10/10 when I realized that 12 hours later, I could still smell it on myself.

Ahlamsarah

This perfume is quiet controversial as described in the comments and after my experience with it.
For me & my husband, it’s purely jasmine and he really enjoys it on me.
For my colleagues, some finds it very sweet, others very fresh & flowery.
Also, I’m enjoying wearing it in winter because it really cheers and warms me up.
It’s the 1st time i wear a Roberto Cavalli & I’ll give it 9/10.

Juca79

Not my favorite, but I must say that I have never gotten more compliments on any other perfume.

raiza1990

A nice green fragrance. Elegant and not overly citrusy, but a bit too linear and boring for me. My husband liked it, though.

charlotteding

First spray is quite appealing. I had high hopes for this one..not long after it takes a sour turn and becomes well not nice ha

heidibubbletea

Not woody nor sensual. I am sorry there's just so much jasmine and white floral, Smells like toilet cleaner or vintage hair gel.

icysdn

I tested with a 1ml sample bottle. quickly, i associated the green/crisp middle notes with chloe's si belle flanker. Paradiso is like si belle's fruity sister. Just for the record, i also get the same vibes from chloe love story and versace eros pour femme. But Si Belle is the closest i think. So, since i already have one, i decided not to get the other. Most perfumes smell so identical these days, i want my fragrances to excite me more than that. Paradiso is one of the best sellers in my country, but it smelled just alright (actually kinda boring) to me. If you are looking for a simple and fruity fragrance for adults rather than teens, go for it. If you are after sophistication, you'll most probably wont be impressed.

Opens with a strong and sweet fruity blast, combines with pepper-like-crispy green notes and florals in the middle, leaves the skin with a trail of lemon. Safe and simple and also refreshing (due to pepper-like greens) for the hottest days. Longevity is quite satisfactory for a summer type of a fragrance. Lasts about 5 hrs on my skin and even more on the clothes. And this is for winter time! i think it would last 8-9 hrs on skin in summer.

Yuisavella

It reminds me of lychee :) Am I the only one who feels this way?

AnitaHendricks

This perfume smells like walking into a citrus plantation. It reminds me of the Mediterranean hills during summer. It's very green but still sensual like the Italian women are. It's not a complex scent but it's unique because you don't find this combination often. This is not your standard tropical summer scent. It's fresh in a very natural way. I like the bergamot in this perfume. This crisp, opening note ties in wonderfully with the green leaf base notes. The mandarin orange is subtile and uplifting. This note draws in the summer. The jasmin is feminine but also very strong. When it warms up on my skin it becomes too overwelming.

Soozatska

I bought a mini (.17 oz) blind and it really does not work with my body chemistry. Anyone want to swap, send me a message!

A perfect summer scent, bought it without trying and it was a very pleasant surprise when I tried it on. Immediate love, I wear it all year but it's best in warm summer evenings

Stephaniejanef

Flashback to my childhood. My mother is in the kitchen, ironing. She is using a spray (do people still do this?) and I love its smell. I am now wearing Paradiso and feeling clean, comforted and nostalgic.I don't get anything tropical from Paradiso, but lovely cleanliness and delight. Very good stuff

Roxanne25

Very nice scent for spring and summer. I really enjoy the aroma of the evergreen trees of the Mediterranean, mixed with citruses. All this fresh, green mix is nicely blended with white florals - I believe this is the jasmine, but in this perfume the jasmine scent is subdued and somehow sweet.
The scent lingers around me all day, giving me fresh, laid back feeling.
Like a beautiful lady wearing linen shirt, barefoot, on a terrace overlooking the Mediterranean sea under the shades of pine trees and cypresses in the middle of the day.
Simply beautiful.

kati77

Nice smell. For spring and summer days it fits more than winter in my opinion. Light citrus but sweet because it is jasmine in composition. Pine do not feel as such. A little fresh, so light. Average durability. Not my taste too much, I have a sample and I will finish it. But I recommend,it can be great for some people.

Callisa'sBlueSky

I am seriously in love with this perfume. I have not been this excited about a scent in a while, this was an unexpected surprise. It has been called a tropical scent numerous times and I find that a bit misleading. There is nothing tropical fruity in this perfume. But it is a tropical green scent; a tropical forest filled with plants and white flowers.

The thing that I love about Paradiso is the naturalness of it. I suspect most of us here live artificial lives far away from nature. There are times when I crave nature with all my heart, that clean aliveness, green vegetation and the freedom of endless blue skies and a breeze alive with different natural scents. This perfume embodies exactly just that. It is all about clean simple white flowers and green plants. I especially love the cypress in this, it is like a breath of fresh air every time I catch a whiff of it. The pine is not too noticeable, it doesn't end up smelling like household cleaners as sometimes happen to pine scents. There is nothing complex about this but that is a good thing in this case. It is relaxed, it is happy and it is true freedom in a bottle.

This is my escape to nature in the midst of a busy city with hardly any green in sight. I really want a full bottle of this. This would also make an ideal summer holiday fragrance in my opinion.

bombekmateya

Somehow it smells cheap, but on the other side it smells very VERY UNIQUE and beautiful.

tandi

There's something tangy at first. The cypress in this is a bit aggressive. It smells cheap. I agree with the reviewer who said that this gives an air freshener effect.
A no for me.

cpg93

i smell peaches at first and was really surprised that those aren't in fact the correct notes. very fruty to begin with, super pleasant, but sort of ordinary. The drydown is AMAZING, wich was very surprising to me. after a few hours, the frutieness disappears entirely and you're left with a beautiful clean smell of the countryside in the best way possible. it smells like nature. if it were like that fom the star i would by it without a question

Ariana.b

Wearing Paradiso is like inhaling a breath of fresh mountain air in the garden of Eden. The name is absolutely perfect for the scent. It is a luxuriant fragrance, with one of the most beautiful jasmine I have ever smelled, with the elegant and enigmatic cypress and a little drop of refreshing lime, only to wake up our senses. It is unique and amazing!

PS: It gets a lot of compliments, the sillage and longevity are awesome!

medea_svenspoa

This smells exactly like Laundry or an exellent fabric softener, due to the aromatic base notes.
If you like this clean, conforting kind of scents, this will be your paradiso.
HUGE longevity!

freddinos

Not being a fan of florals, I blind bought Paradiso because I love the name and everything Italian.
Its top notes are indeed heavenly, this is what Paradise must smell like. The middle notes give me the same problem as all Cavalli perfumes I have tried: they do not smell bad, but something bothers me. The drydown is nice and close to the skin.
Overall I was mesmerised by the opening, and from there down it was just a like, not a love for me.
Very summer appropriate and good for girls of all ages;)

ledlight

This is the only perfume i would like to smell on woman, all other womans perfumes gaves me a headache...Roberto Cavalli has done a great job on this one,my girlfriend also like this version,so no more headache :)

Scent 10/10
Sillage 8/10
Longevity 8/10

Alisa90

This is heaven in a bottle. I am hopelessly in love with this perfume! Whenever I wear it, everyone asks me what I am wearing and I get a lot of compliments!!!!!!

tijgetje

On my skin it's a soft and sensual Jasmine parfumo. I think it's classic and elagant.

I was afraid of citrus attack! But no, thankfully not. I do smell sweet mandarine. Bergamot comes later on my skin. More warm citrus.

In the middle it's a lot Jasmine. And a very soft and sensual one. In this parfum I really love it a lot! Still in company from sweet friend mandarine.

After about 3 to 5 hours this parfumo changes on my skin into more warm and comforting. Now I smell the 3 last ingredients. Whiffs of each.

This is a well blended parfumo! Instant holiday feelings for me to Laco Maggiore :-) When I wear this I feel at ease and comforted, but also sensual and maybe...a little seductive to ;-)

8/10

Go give this one a try, even in winter! It's good to spice up your mood ( and your mojo :-)

FabulouslyLazy

I don't like it. The opening is not that bad, but when it dries down it becomes sickening and it does bother me. And when a perfume bothers me...it's a big no! The dry-down is kinda sweet-floral-woody-powdery, but not in a pleasant way. I guess it's the cypress + laurel note altogether with the overpowering jasmine.

Crystals On My Converse

I don't own any Roberto Cavalli perfumes so far but this one I sampled today and I have decided I really like it! I can smell it on the tester card which is currently sat 3 feet away from me! This is a grown up and sophisticated tropical scent! Want want want....!!!

bronstein

Judging on the comments below, this one is rather controversial. In contrast, I find this to be a well-behaved perfume of solid quality. Not every new fragrance is intended to re-invent the wheel, you know. This one suits an decent every-day appearance for women who want to add a touch of dreaminess. A nice one for nice girls, so to speak.

Astar

Such a simple scent, it hurts. On more positive note, all ingredients blend together quite seamlessly and create a perfect harmony. Unfortunately, it is not a complex perfume whatsoever, and does not develop in time, revealing heart notes. Simply boring, especially in comparison with other Cavalli scents.

ismellsogood

Currently, it is December 2015. I sprayed this perfume two days ago, my little girl asked me to try it. WELL! It is gorgeous.

December in England, can be quite depressing, the weather is super cold, the air has no personality or atmosphere. The skies are grey and and quite gloomy.
You need a pick me up, a little sunshine to avoid S.A.D from creeping in(seasonal affective disorder).

So in an instant, after I spray Paradiso I smiled, it smelt fruity and tropical and dazzlingly sensual and fun and that is exactly what I needed during this winter period!

My mother took me on many Winter Sun holidays, places like Egypt, Tunisia and the Caribbean so bringing summer into winter is positively therapeutically wonderful....for me darlings x

Nakita Iniesta

Absolutely LOVELY! My must have fragrance. As I pass my scentime lingers. It's always sold outin my country. My favorite fragrance this far

seaside

I went ahead and bought a full bottle, despite some of the bad reviews here, because I am a fan of his perfumes in general.

This one did not disappoint. It's a sparkling, long-lasting scent that makes me happy when I'm wearing it.

I don't know how sophisticated or complicated or nuanced it is; I just know that I love the smell, which btw does not at all smell anything like some of the weird references here.

Profumella

Clean and fresh fragrance. Not very unique but nice

olga_adriana

disagree about the comments below saying this perfume smells like car freshener or hairspray. it's a really nice smell on me, it lasts a long time, and i've gotten a lot of compliments!
definitely on the "girly" side, and definitely a summer scent, but i'll wear it through October...
i give it 8/10

polkadot27

Reminds me of a jungle on a desert island I smell fresh ripe juices bursting with citruses and fruits. The prominent note in this for me is a creamy mango coconut scent. This is undeniable a summer scent for those natural women with waved hair no makeup and sun kissed skin.

A lovely beautiful fruity creamy citrus scent. So ripe smelling!
Rating=7/10

I do actually like it- it is different and rather gourmand- I may purchase it someday

Edit- do actually really like this one it has really grown on me there is something about it- new rating=8.5/10

arwa hussein

OMG this perfume is a paradise spa i adore this perfume it is just amazing heavenly amazing
its neat , clean, dreamy relaxing perfume love it.

LadiesRed

Fresh, soft burst of white florals and beautiful touches of woodsy and wood notes.

Perfect for that touch of Summer.

The scent is not artificial smelling and warms nicely to the skin.

Venusia

I find Paradiso quite good - on my skin: a little citrus in the beginning, jasmine for the 30 minutes and in drydown pine and laurel leaf which makes it a little masculine. Fresh but not sharp, flowery but without any sweetness. Wonderful and comforting for summer, easy to wear, not bothering for anybody. Relaxed vacation time scent. Beautiful bottle

Edemay

chewing gum and washing powder.

refreshing, an everyday scent.

wouldn't wear it anywhere fancy

Mooniq

Paradiso is a little bit to girly for my taste. Fresh but sweet flwoernotes, fresh airy pine tree. Flirty, sexy, girly. Nice but I don't get along with it.

Paradiso är lite för tjejig för min smak. Fräscha men söta blomnoter, fräsch luftig tall. Flirtig, sexig, tjejig. Trevlig men jag kommer inte överrens med den.

Frayja

I tested it already 3 times and every time results are the same:Longlasting, fresh, and different!ON MY SKIN of course,I can see many reviews here are negative.
I don't call it tropical but forest-like,very vivid and developing well thru the day.I want to have it.
If anyone of you has it and don't want it anymore, here I am for a swap!
I can understand your objections, don't bye it blindly, from my point of view as always.

Miran23kurd

Totally agreed that this smells like car freshener! I was searching for the word and found it in the comments. Its very subtle, the notes are not blended well imo, instead of giving it a rate this time i will giv a price (: imo again this fragrance should be in the 10-20 $ range...

Iris_Alice

Hi! I bought this in a rush... test it on paper, then on my skin. I tought it's nice, somehow different. When I wore it for the first time, I was sooo sad. It smells like car freshener.

Scentmad

Sweet, slightly heady and peppery, reminds me of Azzaro no. 9. Not unpleasant but not particularly original either.

mlxo7

This is such a disappointment. I love 'Roberto Cavalli' in the yellow oval bottle, and like Nero Assoluto so I hoped this fragrance would be just as promising at those offerings. However, on my skin at least, this perfume is so synthetic-smelling. Sticky syrup drizzled over rotting fruit. I feel physically ill. I have attempted 3 times to wash it off but it's still as present as ever. How ironic; the perfumes I love I can't get to stick around, and this one doesn't want to leave. Maybe it's because I've sprayed it on a cold weather day and it's clearly a summer fragrance. Or maybe I'm trying to make excuses for it... Glad it works for some of you, but for me it's a big no!

margarita.angelova

This screams "SUMMER!!!" so loud that it didn't even feel right to spray it until the temperature reached 20°C. I bought it in the beginning of February and wore it today for the very first time. The marketing campaign is right on point, it represents the smell so perfectly. Well done! The bottle is beautiful, classic and pleasingly heavy.

It was an instant love for me. This is not my usual light summer fragrance; it has this very specific sweet richness to it; feels somehow thick but not suffocating.

My hometown is famous as 'the city of linden trees' in Bulgaria. This perfume pretty much resembles that intoxicating sweetness in the warmed up air when the linden start to bloom in June. It evokes all those dearest memories of a care-free childhood and home. It takes me back to another world and is surely one of the most adorably nostalgic scents I own.

Contessa01

Paradiso is like Roberto Cavalli (in the amber bottle) with a tropical kick. It reminds me of punch or a fruity drink on a hot day. The drawback is the staying power is not good at all.

blueviolet

Quite vintage smell to put it kindly. The horrendous truth is that it smells J U S T like hairspray. I'm not sure if it's a Loreal hairspray? Think it's elnett. I sprayed it on my hand and later went, huh why does my hand smell of hairspray? Very strange.

Arlene-Beatrix

At first it is very nice, floral fruity scent, but middle and base notes are intense fir and Mediterranean greens. Very teasing. Not for me.

Shiffy

Nulla di speciale, fiorito e delicato..verso la fine ricorda il Place Vendome

mudpach

I have a bottle and I've used this 2 weeks ago so I can tell that I know this scent. I'm not a huge RC fan but sometimes I can enjoy Cavalli's italian style and the way that he describe the sexy woman by his fragrances. Paradiso is an interesting scent: on my skin the cypress accord with the dry woody notes is great, fresh and sensual. I love jasmin, and I love this masculine akkord with jasmin, I say very hot! I like to wear it, great sillage, good long lasting.

Anthaval

I really like this perfume's campaign, that's why I tried Cavalli's new fragrance. Anyway, I don't like his parfumes so much.

So then when I smell it first it was so pungent and intrusive. Then the hours went by it was getting softer and lighter and I started to like it. When my boyfriend arrived at home in the evening his first question was: what the hell is that smell? It was Paradiso... Never ever!

It smells like a fake juicy soap .

LIN

Smells fake, cheap and plastic. A nice scent, it's not bad as a scent but as a 'perfume' it's not good! Smells cheap, something like cheap celebrity perfume but flowers instead of the celebrity sweet vanillas.

Milenadim

I am at an island. The sun is going down and a light breeze brings a lovely smell! This is the smell of Paradiso to me!

littlepepperz

I had such high hopes for this fragrance, all of the notes are my absolute favourites! Cypress, pine, citrus, jasmine? Oh my!

However, I am quite disappointed to be honest. I expected a true, fresh, hot, maybe slightly unisex paradise and all I got was something so generic, I can't believe it's not Avon. Don't get me wrong, some Avon fragrances are perfectly fine, but they don't charge a huge buck for their fumes, unlike Cavalli.
The drydown has Cavalli's signature accord, just like in Acqua.
This is the first time I'm writing a review like that, maybe because I had such high hopes, like going on an online-blind date - everything seems good on paper, but you get so let down when meeting up in real life. But hey, maybe it's me!

ScarlettX

It's too bitter for my taste. Jasmine note is overwhelming and it gets darkly woody after some time.
Nothing about paradise in this one. But that's just my opinion.
If the whole thing would be just a little lighter, it would be fine.
I can't imagine myself wearing something like this.

marcello19

Not bad, but not good either, quite safe and generic, doesn't worth the money.

Mellyhelly

Screechy citrus (but could be pineapple), very generic high-pitch fruit bomb in the opening.
It gives you a slap then hide away.
Weird... someone like Roberto Cavalli should know how a paradise on earth really smells.
I wanted to like the drydown, because the listed notes are interesting, but there was very little to smell after the "exotic-chemical" initial burst.

Rawannnna

Pretty bottle. Oh, about the juice? really one of Cavalli's worst. Why?
- so common so predictable fruit-floral with no character what so ever, the blend itself is poorly made, the notes are a bit confused; tuberose and jasmine are projected at the same time both seconds after application, both very intense, creating this somehow air refresher effect rather than a floral bouquet effect.

- so expensive and you can find far superior perfumes for 10 dollars or less.

- its long lasting and kinda of sticky long lasting not the nice long lasting. I had to wash it off my hand.

genny17

This is lovely, this is to me what Chloe Love Story should have been!!
I love Cavalli fragrances, they smell soo nice. Paradiso is breezy, it makes me think of a warm wind in my face, sonething sunny about it too...aromatic and warm, it is captivating, feminine, just enveloping also..it gets more floral in the drydown..it is the type of scent I enjoy wearing right now....fresh, warm, bright....it isn't unique yet I can't think of another scent like it! It lasts quite a while ...I agree there is a hint of sweetness in it too..nice sweet floral
Happy to have it on my collection, my husband complimented me on it, which he doesn't do often!!!

rossyegio5

Semplicissima combo limone/mandarino.
Una copia di Saharienne YSL, un po' più anemica perchè priva di pepe.
Agrumatino. Nulla di che.

maen

Hi!, I feel totally in love with Paradiso, is like a Jasmin breeze with a sweet hint behind.
Is a bracing scent, has a feminine woody undertone and soft Laurel, which makes it very fresh and young, different twist also.
I like Roberto Cavalli fragrances because are really womanly and have something special, this is no exception.
About the lasting power is really good, keeps enough noticeable.
Great creation, great scent.

malika1979

I cannot wait for this!!!
