Bright Crystal by Versace is a Floral Fruity fragrance for women. Bright Crystal was launched in 2006. The nose behind this fragrance is Alberto Morillas. Top notes are Yuzu, Pomegranate and Ice; middle notes are Peony, Lotus and Magnolia; base notes are Musk, Mahogany and Amber.

The pink colored bottle announces softer and more luminous fragrance in comparison with Crystal Noir. Nowadays popular fruity note gives the composition slightly gourmand nuance. The top notes are pomegranate, Yuzu and frosted accord. Peony and magnolia are in the centre of the composition, while waterly fresh lotus note moderates the intensity and sweetnes of the floral accords. The opulent base introduces amber note extracted from plants, musk and red woods. The fragrance was designed by Alberto Morillas in 2006.

The perfume I wear frequently in spring and summer. I like to wear it in extreme temperatures. Because it's not overwhelming. It doesn't bother people either.
It is one of the perfumes with a high peony scent.

KingKaris

It smells nice how ever it smells like a lot of recently cleaned public bathrooms. I think its the Peony that gives it this "Cleaner" scent. There is much better for less and way better for more.

meliecat

It's not my type of scent, and I'm mot a Versace fan away, but surprisingly pleasant, fresh, floral, slightly fruity. This is what you would want to wear in the summer heat if you like fresh, mainstream perfumes, but not full-blown citrusy ones like Light Blue. By the way, this has a Bi-es dupe called Diamond Sparkle, which is nearly 100% identical to the scent, but lacks its longevity big time.. Sorth a try if you don't want to pay through your nose for this scent itself alone.

VioletVampyr

This is the first perfume I ever bought, and I love it dearly.

My only complaint lies in the soapiness that invades my nose and mouth when it lingers too long, or I sniff too deeply. The initial burst of fragrance is incredibly pleasant. I tend to spray it in my hair as opposed to my skin, as it allows the notes I prefer to stick around longer.
I really would like to know what causes the soapy smell/taste though, because that happens with a great number of perfumes.

silkyvanilla

i like this better than the absolu one. it smells clean and fresh floral and aquatic. perfect for spring and summer

VirgowithLeo

Love the opening
But dry down is kind of off putting to me. Maybe the musk and amber not sure

kittys0ft

I tried this as a sample size since it was recommended to me in passing and was told it "isn't for everyone", but the branding of this and notes looked super glamorous!!

Honestly the sharp citrus, the yuzu is a bit too much (something I expected more from yellow diamond instead?) ..to the point where it just FEELS like it could give you a headache in a few hours after you applied it. and it DOES last all day haha!!

Fortunately it quickly turns into more of a bright sparkling almost champagne type of scent, but it feels like a rich old widow in a fur coat and designer sunglasses than something delicate and approachable. In hindsight that's what I should've expected from versace lol If thats your vibe then go for this! Overall it smells like if the colour hot pink was cold, dusty and floral ?

Definitely not for softspoken/understated younger people!!!! despite being such a strong fragrance it's also quite "everyday" as if you would smell it in an elevator every so often, disappointingly doesn't feel unique, though I can't explain why because there's nothing else exactly like this??

Overall it IS definitely for a specific type of lady and I can see this being perfect for her, for me personally it makes me dizzy haha

n8super

starts with all the florals and fruits, mostly peony with bright yuzu and dark pomegranate. fairly quickly, the musk comes out and the fruit fades away. the floral musk is clean and pleasant, maybe a little too light and sweet for my taste. i can definitely see this smelling like champagne, i think that's a more accurate accord than "ice". there's a sharpness that i associate with alcohol in this
unfortunately the sweet, sharp muskiness is the perfect storm to give me a headache, even though i do kind of enjoy how this smells. it's not a scent that would be appropriate for me anyways

blood-dorm

Tested all Crystal series, both this and the Absolu version BARELY stick on my body chemistry. Like 10-15 minutes and it's pretty much GONE gone. Love the icy scent-sation though, unfortunately with lemon it might give body odor impression to some. But in the end the scent really matches the name.

violinwood

I was wondering why this perfume smells so "sparkly" and "rich" to me, and then I saw the ice note when I looked it up. This scent is true to its name- something about it smells like crystal chandeliers and champagne. It just sparkles. It's clean but not sharp, and fruity but not cloying. Lovely fresh scent for springtime that feels classy and upscale.

Jordan 99

I love opening, but it dries down in to something weird on me, is that mahogany? I suppose to love this one, I usually love all those aquatic fresh fruity florals, but this just drydown in to something synthetic, sad, opening is lovely. I had only 30ml bottle and used it all up, so it isn’t bad, actually sort of like it, but don’t crave it.

Paynight

It smells like flower shop . But when it dries down it has an extra smell in it that I seriously dislike.

I gave it away to a friend and she totally liked it.

But here in my place everyone smell like this.

G0rebloom

I dislike this so much, I've tried it a few times over the course of a few months. It gets lost on me within moments. I'd hoped the ice and amber notes would be interesting, but I am left feeling like this is just pink hairspray.

needed_a_new_obsession

Dear Bright Crystal,

You landed in my sample inbox because of two reasons: I wanted to know what "ice"smells like - now I do, I am impressed! - and because you said you contain peony. Of that I am not impressed. For a short second or a half, some peony rushed by my nose when spraying you on my arm, and it disappeared at once. Where did you leave it?

The ice I experienced as a cool "airyness", like the scentless part of a sparkling water bottle which when opened freshly reaches the nose the first time.

Apart from this icyness, you are not more than a synthetic flower bouquet, you remind me of sniffing into my budget laundry detergent while at the same time chewing an airwaves gum.

Quite the (short and faint) experience.

vanillaflower77

Creed spring flower without the musty undertones!!

Tsmarcondes

It's a freshy floral. Good, playful, but I honestly think it's a bit basic, I wouldn't pay the price considering that there is a lot over there.

amnebe

Even though this is a 2006 fragrance, it feels like it belongs to the 1980s. I can imagine it coming in one of those little sample pouches with the scented cloths inside. It has a bright and happy presence, but it's really basic. It's got a strong floral note, which I think could be headache-inducing to some people. There's also a waxy citrus scent, which is probably the yuzu. The magnolia note helps give the florals a rich rather than light touch. While it's not really a "me" scent, it's still okay. I'm sure there's someone out there who loves it.

Alicen1derland

The scent radiates a charming, bright, and clean feminine essence, evoking sophistication. It exudes classiness and consistently earns me compliments when worn. Perfect for daytime or casual evenings, it carries a reminiscent scent of luxurious, clean-smelling shampoo, which I adore. It shares a similar clean shampoo vibe with VS Bombshell, making it a favorite in my collection.

Out of the bottle I prefer the scent to Bombshell, however, on my skin Bombshell smells much nicer on the dry down. And I love how Bright Crystal smells on my sister. Goes to show you that fragrance differs depending on individual chemistry.

Mims92

My favourite everyday perfume it’s smells fresh and clean and that is my favourite scent profile I just wish it lasted longer.

philly_dragonfly

I was given a sample of this at the perfume counter. I think it’s okay. But just okay. It’s super girly, which isn’t my usual thing. And it smells indistinguishable from other super girly fragrances. It would probably be a safe gift for Mother’s Day or a birthday for someone who likes girly florals.

marie.pacesova

I am into other vein fragrances right now but this perfume always takes place in my perfume collection. I call it as a “welcome spring” scent. It always evoces me memories on ma 20´s when I wear BC a lot. I would say this is a classy timeless clean/zingy/fruityfloral with no vanilla (that is quite rare in nowdays perfume industry) and I appreciate that. Safe blind buy, and it stays pretty long for an EDT.

pogvamp

it’s a basic clean girl scent but almost too clean because it just has no dimension, reminds me of fabuloso :p

Kisskissdelrey

This smells very powdery to me , juvenile but mature at the same time? Its giving hot cool grandma vibes…Also smells like lotion.. Its a generic fragrance nothing special but safe I guess … Not my cup of tea ;)

haleykbhenry

If you are into the clean girl aesthetic and need a perfume for everything this is for you ✨ I finished a whole bottle meanwhile the whole time I was on the fence about it but it is a beautiful girly feminine pick-me-up 💖 works best after a shower and you want to feel and smell even more clean. HOWEVER, my only problem is the longevity it only lasts 10 minutes but will I repurchase? Probably because it’s so pretty 😭😬🤷♀️

ayshee_x

It’s like a floral lotion or house cleaner. If your vibe is to smell like Zoflora then that’s cool, you’ll really dig this. I don’t get the hype personally but if you love heavy mature florals, this might suit you.

Miloshy

This is super light but feminine at the same time. Perfect for spring and summer. It smells clean and floral, like a shampoo. The perfume itself is ok, nothing too exciting, I won't buy it again once I use it up. However the bottle is so girly, I love keeping this in my purse.

Charity77

Funny how we all smell things differently. I've always had a bottle of this for the past 15 years. I'm 47 and still wear it. I smells so beautiful and I get complimented regularly on how good I smell. Must be my chemistry or something because I don't get a soapy scent from it at all. And as for performance, I go nose blind, but hours later people are still complimenting me. Anywho, I love it and will continue to wear it! :)

y_bilka

It gives me a headache all day, I can't wear it.

Freakyindia

I'm not really into the main accords of this perfume, but strangely, I'm totally digging it. It's got its own unique smell. If you pass by someone who knows their perfumes, they'd definitely recognize you're rocking Bright Crystal. I think it's a solid, pleasant choice for everyday wear.

vixxiimcmlxxxvii

I had a rollerball of this I got with a small bundle of other perfumes. HAD. CAUSE IT JUST ROLLED OFF MY DRESSER ONTO MY TILE FLOOR. Welp. Luckily I didn’t like it, and disgustingly enough, it had particles floating in it. So perhaps the universe did me a favor. My room basically smells like I just took a shower in the master bathroom and used ALL the shampoo in the entire world. Sooo yeah it’s a nice enough scent. “Pretty,” smells like it’s been done 100x.

confused_amoeba

My first scent. Smells like a bunch of wet roses and green stalks, even though rose isn't listed as a note. It blooms into something beautiful in warmer weather, however, during cold weather, the dry down smells off putting to me. Overall, a beautiful summer perfume.

KamillaNilsen

Very basic and I just hate it.

joliecat

Bright Crystal stays musky longer in winter on my skin. It's a fresh cool musk, not powdery. In hot summer, the fruits show through more and the flowers smell sweeter. Projection is moderate for about 2 hours, then becomes such a close to skin scent that it's virtually undetectable by anyone passing by. Still, on skin and fabrics, Bright Crystal lasts quietly, about 6 hours. Great for any age, to wear any time, any season. If you want a well blended, delicate, very feminine, soft scent, this one lets you feel fresh, ladylike and pretty all day.

banillavean

this is a safe choice <3 my best friend wears this and I think of this as the younger sister of Chloe signature. Its fresh and floral with little fruitiness.

TheJester420

There is so much to like about this scent but a lot to dislike too. I find this scent to be pleasant but boring and almost too safe. The floral notes in mix with the fresh notes are enthralling at first but nauseating at second. I’ve bought this perfume a few times and smelt it on others and always seem to get a bit of an unpleasant chemical undertone also. I imagine this best as something you would gift a girl for her sweet 16. This scent doesn’t seem to last very long on but can always be found at discount prices so the longevity mostly isn’t an issue.

ljsmith

The ultimate shampoo perfume. The easiest of dumb reaches. Tart, sweet, fresh, and fruity and easy to find highly discounted. Bright Crystal is a great all-arounder in my perfume collection and is perfect for keeping in my purse for any scent emergencies.

nofacedbeauty

Bland, Powdery grandmother scent to it. Not bad but not my cup of tea... Very basic and extremely forgettable.

harmonia

I don’t like to hate on fragrances, but this one rubs me the wrong way, on so many levels. It’s ultra generic, brings nothing new to the table and does what it’s trying to do really bad. Cheap chemical musk and totally bland floral notes. The performance to price ratio is horrible. If people like it, fine, but they could do so much better.

nukleo777

What a crispy summer perfume! Yes, it is ,,background" perfume but rather pleasant. This one I don't use to impress someone or leave a mark. This one is just for me. I enjoy it. We all love perfumes that are unique and different but sometimes you just need to take a shower and keep that fresh smell for some time. This is perfect perfume for that.

ChelleBelle84

“Another generic, soapy scent” seems to be what is most complained about with this scent. Let’s think about this for a bit.

I’m not going to go into all the notes in this scent and what it smells like. That has been done many times over. What I am going to say is that this scent was made to be worn in the warmer months, especially in the summer. With that in mind, there are only so many fragrance notes that can be combined in such a way to create a summer scent that are not too heavy or won’t become cloying in the summer heat like sweet, vanilla gourmands would. There may be some lightly sweet fruitiness, but care must be taken for it to not become cloying. Fresh, maybe even a little tart, and being rather soapy scented is the way to go for someone who has been sweating from the heat, so it will be comfortable for both the wearer and for those around them.

Not to mention, scent can also be a pick me up. If it’s stifling hot outside, a cool, refreshing fragrance like this one can actually perk someone up and be a bit of a relief.

That is just the scent profile of many floral fruity scents like this one,, and why such scents were created. To complain that this is a generic or soapy scent is failing to understand the genre and know that in the scorching heat of summer in some places around the world, it would be TOO hot to wear anything ELSE.

So now the question is, if this is “generic”, then what would you suggest for an alternative? What is it that you’re looking for?

Edit: I agree with someone’s review below to allow a scent to “sit” for a while when you first get it. I noticed that too with a lot of scents. It’s like they’re mass produced, freshly made and sent out immediately. In the process they smell rather weak when you open and spray them and don’t smell like you remember them. They’re not given the time needed for all the fragrance notes to really soak in and blend together. When leaving it sit for several months, I found the scent to be stronger and better smelling. Also if they’re hot from the outdoor heat while in postal transit, try putting the fragrance in the refrigerator for a day or so. Heat speeds up the molecules of a scent where cold slows them down. This will greatly affect how a scent will smell.

Edit 2: I think this was made to be an everyday soapy or “shampoo” type scent just to smell nice, fresh, clean, and put together. The dry down of this is like Dove pink beauty bar on me. In summer heat, this is perfect for a daytime scent. I get lots of compliments on this, most especially from members of the Hispanic community here who love nothing better than a clean, fresh smelling person. *gasp* “Oh, you smell so wonderful! What IS that?!” 😍

izzyyyzzii

I got this perfume for my birthday in the summer! The packaging is beautiful, so that's always a plus. Everyone agrees here, but this smells like a bubble bath. You smell, for lack of better words, squeaky clean. It's a good smell for summer dates and lunches, but I think the bubbliness of it is too static to be worn as a nighttime perfume, since in my opinion, I prefer to wear complex perfumes that you can pick apart different scents from during nighttime. If you're a big fan of a lighter feminine scent, it's worth your money! But if not, I'd say some better options don't scream light pink like this one somewhat does.

vsmr

Cute but forgettable. Something a middle school girl would wear.

orphangirl

I don’t really get a lot of fruitiness from this one. Perhaps a slightly sweet citrus up front and then a clean crisp floral and about five minutes after spraying I swear I smell something grassy (mahogany?) but that gives way to an even softer, deeper floral. This smells nice. It’s inoffensive and has decent projection while it lasts. I will wear this one fairly often since it’s very feminine and classy, but it’s a little too plain to ever become a signature scent and I doubt any compliments I receive on this will ever go beyond mere use of the word “nice.” It’s just not memorable enough to be categorized as anything else.

Edit: I’m sorry, Bright Crystal! Now that I have worn and lived with you a few more times, I no longer find you just “nice” and unmemorable. I mean, you are very nice but you are also pretty and clean and delightful. And understated, not unmemorable. And you will always have a place in my collection!

jadepo21

Yet another generic, soapy scent that is rather headache inducing.

suzanne_ronald

If there was such a thing as a Raspberry Pink Peony...

I just have an aged miniature of this, but it's kept surprisingly well and the performance has gotten stronger. Opens with yuzu, pomegranate & ice, that blended together read like something near freshly washed raspberries, but already the peony is swelling through that lifts and diffuses everything to a floral raspberry-blossom. As it transitions to the heart, lotus helps to continue the aquatic freshness, while magnolia keeps everything light and fluffy. Peony here is the real star of the show, and brings velvety, fluffy, rosy, floral & fresh tones. At times, I also get the lemon-y rosy tones of geranium. The base notes help to keep this luscious raspberry-peony going for quite awhile. Alberto Morillas hand is evident here, and you will catch reminders of many of the scents he composed for Marc Jacobs as well as Miracle Lancôme. Performance is great for a spring-summer wearing experience, and once the bottle has aged a bit it would likely be good for year round wear. This is one of the nicest pink fruity-floral freshies going. For what it is, it's a love for me. Enjoy!

cloudfruit

first 30 minutes it smells exactly like celery, and then it becomes a light floral clean-laundry scent. it's definitely not bad but there are 1000s of others just like it

tashigroom

Reminds me of a slightly weaker version of Glossier You. Pretty scent but I wouldn’t personally buy it again

Essie12

One of the freshest, prettiest florals you will find on the market. I'm not a girly girl and this is perfect for me... Not sweet and pungent.

Lovaloo

An artificial smelling, linear, and unsophisticated fruity floral. Rosy kool-aid. It has a strange industrial quality to it, texture-wise. Fuzzy, sharp, and plasticine. Aquatic floral notes can have a shrill quality, and I think that's what I'm picking up on. The base contains a powerful, acrid wood note that reminds me of sharpie markers.

Bright Crystal is strong, projecting, and long lasting. The "Absolu" flanker is a less nuanced and even stronger interpretation of this DNA. There are plenty of perfumes with a similar red berry/rose scent profile that smell superior. Its popularity completely eludes me. Among the worst I've tried in this category and at this price point, I recommend steering clear.

Jackiekeyes99

Sorry peeps, I love this scent! It’s popular for a reason! So well blended! I love the close to the skin dry drown. It’s so feminine and soft, pretty, a feeling of cozy and wanting to be in comfortable clothing comes to mind. Amazing everyday casual wear. You could dress it up or down very versatile. I think when people say it generic, they mean it’s not an annoying scent or offensive. So if generic is that, than yes it’s generic! So easy to grab everyday, so easy to wear. Doesn’t weigh you down at all.
Uplifting !

alyssaqchuck

EDT. there are 7 main accords. In terms of the distribution, my perception is: floral 41%. aquatic 15%. citrus 12%. woody 12%. fresh spicy 10%. rose 10%. This is a lovely perfume with a non-offensive but distinct smell. It is inviting for a daytime, spring and summer scent. I don't think I would take it into fall, but it could you could probably start in winter and wear till the end of summer. The age range I recommend is 15-49. Any older than that and it gets to be childish. The price is excellent at $15-$18/oz.

https://www.versace.com/us/en/women/accessories/fragrances/bright-crystal/

AinoKaroliina

The yuzu is strong in the opening. I sense the pomegranate note, but it's not overpowering.

This is not a sweet scent. This is a crisp, citrus fresh scent with floral notes for femininity.

Good for summertime.

kiwiWithVanilla

I smelled it on my friend and I couldn’t get over it! I wanted to hug her a lot for her scent and when I got home I bought it online! The weird thing that I didn’t like it on me! It smells like soap or just being clean and I am not fond a lot of that.
Perfumes react differently from person to person for real!!

LisaJane97

I love love love 🩷 this 😍 I smelled it throughout many years in the Duty Free in the airports and bought the Absolute version of it 2 years ago, and now I have this Original version together with a small body lotion😍 I love both they smell almost similar but yeah it’s just an amazing perfume and smell😍✨ reminds me of all the travels and holidays and airports and planes ☺️ and smells just amazing ☺️

MariaGabrielaKristina

It's too ordinary smell. Nothing special about it. Maybe for daily use, at work... Not for evening events. Nothing remarkable.

Anfissa

One of the most mood uplifting fragrances to this day.

bajablast

it took me about 2 years to go through my 10ml sample, so, I don't think I love it enough to purchase a bottle, but, I do miss it sometimes. Very sparkly, fresh and girly. It lasted well through every season, I even wore it in the winter.

Vmich

Typical floral musky scent. I’m surprised there are so many fruit notes listed because I did not get any of that. Also surprised it’s not listed as a white floral scent because it smells exactly like the past ones I’ve smelt. Boring and not a fan.

StarryDawn

I just got a sample of this and this very much reminds me of my old signature scent Baby Phat Goddess! I very much want a full bottle now!

Sweetnose23

Nice clean fresh scent. Some days I don’t want to smell sweet or fruity and it’s great to wear day or night.

vewawang

not my thing, to me it smells like flowers, vomit, honey and death. it may just be because i prefer sweeter gourmands or my nose is just weird, but i get this weird smell of honey + vomit potion, it might be the amber but im not sure. pretty bottle and colour though! very lana del rey

lucasthiring

This is a perfect all year around floral scent with a little bit of citrus!

angelica4444

I love bright crystal. Yes it’s not the most sophisticated fragrance out there but it smells like heaven. It’s innocent, girly, kinda angelic. Snow fairies would love this ❄️

oda.grini

Contrary to what most are saying, I think this is a fantastic icy winter fragrance. I use this every Christmas, because it reminds me of both the cold outside, the fresh flowers and greens we decorate with and the sparking elegance of dressing up and celebrating. I think it is beautiful as a contrast (but in a complimentary way) to the warm scents we usually have surrounding us in the winter. It reminds me of standing inside a festive decorated house filled with fresh greenery and the fireplace burning Christmas insence while looking out the window either at the beautiful snowy landscape or in the cool air at the stars at night.

soscandal

it makes me feel like im shining. starting notes are more flowery but when it sits like a couple hours later most beatiful smell ever. you can definitely feel the ice. its like a fresh white flower garden

chiaraherself

Smells nice but definitely not unique, also extremely light with no sillage.

FlowerSeeker

A nice clean fruity flora, not overly sweet. I’ll wear this again but I don’t think I’ll buy another bottle.

viewdemonde

I just asked a lady in a shop what was the lovely perfume she was wearing and it was this. It’s light and bright. Delightful!

Emoody

Washed wet girl’s hair that’s all I get :(

MTK82

A sweet floral girly scent that was super popular around the 2010's. Its a little too sweet and young for my taste now but it's pretty likeable. Can smell a little plasticy.

whodoesyourtaxes

I definitely understand using the word "safe" to describe this perfume, and I reluctantly understand "boring" as well, but I just don't care. This perfume always smells so good to me! I don't wear it a lot anymore because it's not a very "me" scent, but I always LOVE smelling it on someone else-- I always smile to myself if I recognize the scent when I'm out somewhere. And if I am in the mood for a fresh, feminine, almost girly vibe, this one never disappoints. This has always read as a very fruity floral to me; the pomegranate note stands out a lot, making it bright (lol) and good for any season. If Bright Crystal has a million fans, I'm one of them. If Bright Crystal has no fans, I'm dead.

Amber&Oud

alleged notes:
pomegranate, yuzu, aquatic accord
magnolia, peony, rose
amber, musk, acajou wood

what i smell:
pomegranate and peony. the oud-y notes come in later

scent event / my reaction:
after bath perfume, bright, unfussy, lovable but not demanding

MichelleSouza

Blind bought it and when spraying it on my arm, I only get a bitter smell, it must be the yuzu

missingbonnet

clean scent

tally2ball

I like this one. But alone it is just a little too young for my 30's self. I started layering it with Estee Lauder's Modern Muse and now it feels right. More my age but keeps the light, carefree aspect that appeals to me in Bright Crystal.

Claugregg

This smells so pink. Fun fact.. it is the FIRST designer fragrance I bought, after lurking the Sephora perfume section for months. If you're a teenager or you have a teen daughter, this is a very great first "big girl" perfume. It is fruity, it is fresh and it is fun. Very feminine and easy to like. You just can't expect any sophistication with it, since it is quite an easy smell for everyone. Also the kind of perfume a boyfriend would like. Reminds me of a very strong, icy punch juice. What kind of perfume has ice in their notes anyway??? Is it worth the price? Yes, for my 15 years old self. Not now though, my taste has changed with time.

SundayGirl07

Clean floral. Pretty linear and a safe blind buy. I swear I smell a hint of rose in this but the notes don't say rose? Not like 'rose water' smelling rose but a blended rose. It's not anything 'special' in terms of being complex but it still smells really nice.

elleayjay

This is a super bright, sharp, almost headache inducing floral. I’ve never seen the hype around this one. The only way I can describe this is like, imagine stepping outside and looking directly into the sun, that’s how the smell of this perfume makes me feel lol

Sillykn

Just really watery to the point that it smell off. Almost like it's meant to be layered and not worn on its own. To me it feels like it needs something to give it some body or round it out. Happy I don't have a entire bottle to work through.

AncientModernAncient

Why does this smell so aquatic on me, to the point where it's off-putting? My only guess is the ice note. It doesn't even smell floral on me - I expected something simple, sweet, clean, but this is so oddly marine and a little sharp/plastic. It's totally me and not the perfume, but I find it unwearable. I feel like this would be completely inoffensive on anyone otherwise.

sandraogsyl

One of the most boring perfumes I ever tried, sweet and inoffensive tho.

dantar

Pretty. Feminine. Republican college girl with straight A's. That's kinda it, that's the vibe. It's just not special. Very inoffensive, office-safe. It’s a good workout/running errands scent, so it smells clean but not soapy. I ended up giving it to my mom, who works in an office.

Einfinken

I had this years ago. It's a fine, inoffensive summer fragrance but overall really underwhelming.

HippyDippy57

I have a tiny trial size bottle of this, and initially smelling the perfume in the bottle, I wasn't expecting this to last very long when applied. I certainly get the aquatic nature of this scent, and love the peony/magnolia notes. I dabbed some of this on my clothes, and was pleasantly surprised that I could still smell it 6 to 7 hours later. It is not a dramatic scent; more crisp and clean and certainly has a place in my collection, as I would definitely wear this at Zumba and the gym - something fresh, unobtrusive and feminine.

perfumepearl

This wasn't for me. To my nose it smells very sharp and almost like alcohol. I'm not sure which note made it smell bitter. It doesn't remind me of Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet that I love. I wanted to love this but it just didn't work. The longevity is good for an edt, lasts about 5-6h on skin.
I don't think that anyone should blind but this. On my friend this smells beautiful fresh and clean, but it just didn't work for me. I would rate it like 3/10.

Madame Le Nez

Try it again, but an older batch.
When I smelled Versace Bright Crystal at a fragrance counter and subsequently sampled it, my nose liked it. However, when I got a full bottle something was different. The scent from the full bottle was airy, a bit alcoholy on the initial spray, the notes were not as rich and distinct in the dry down. The batch I have was made early 2023. Am I on to something here reviewers? I think there's something about perfume maturation that should be talked about more. People could be misrepresenting the beauty of a perfume because it wasn't give time to marinate.

When I get an older batch, I'll update my review.

LMBelvi

For its category I think this is a nicely balanced scent. But it is too dominantly floral for my tastes. No disrespect to Mr. morillas who does quality work.

Luckycharm

Wow I never hear pomegranate here. My husband bought me this as a gift when it was half price so I never really researched it. It’s probably my most rarely used perfume, but it’s beautiful in its basicity. When I feel like I want to wear something but not stand out, I put this on. It’s great for everyday use, for a sunny day, when you aren’t really up to anything. Simple, floral, fresh, not long-lasting. It’s very safe to use and not ever be hated lol

spellbook.soaps

Does it smell like shampoo? I’m looking for a shampoo scent :)

MySkin

What's wrong with smelling clean and fresh?
The trend of "suffocate everyone around you" perfumery is only for people who have nothing else to impress with.

jschmidty89

Got this for my GF several years ago. She's never been a perfume gal, but really likes this stuff.
Fresh, clean, flowery and softly feminine.
Not overbearing and good for everyday wear.
Possibly a bit generic, but a safe blind buy for those who like lighter, clean, floral fragrances.

nisarsarah9

This is one of the everyday wear scents. Smells fresh and clean like someone has just got out a shower. One of the safest choice and the scent is really refreshing. My go to scents on days when I'm confused what to wear. Really enjoy wearing it!!

The13thHour

Bright Crystal is so pretty, fresh, clean and I get the lotus for sure. It's a easy everyday perfume, especially on hot days or if you are having allergy issues but you still want to wear a perfume. It is not long lasting. But I love that it fits perfectly in my purse.

Lilah_lilah2023

Simple, enjoyable perfume: it is an easy grab for everyday wear since it is so simple and so clean, fresh and flowery. It can be worn on many occasions. I love the peony, magnolia and pomegranate notes. Perfectly balanced little gem for a reasonable price. I like it.

tayschuett

I have a love/hate relationship with this fragrance. I exclusively wear this on and after my morning summer walks when I know I’ll be sweating. But when I begrudgingly grab for it, with my sneakers, sunglasses and Fanny pack on , I roll my eyes with disgust. I just don’t like it, not at all. On that initial spray, it’s reminiscent of cleaning products, but as it dries down it turns into a clean soft floral. And when mixed with beading sweat,

It really comes alive into something refreshing and palatable. It’s simply mundane. I wouldn’t wear this fragrance anywhere else, especially not for something special. With all being said, i enjoy this fragrance as much as I dislike it. In my eyes, it evens out to “just fine”. But keep in mind, I am a Gourmand lover but don’t want to be choked out in the heat by the cloying sweetness of my favorites. If not for that, this clean-refreshing scent would not be for me.

Lidell

The early Y2K Clean Girl.
Smells like laundry in a sharp, soapy, cold way, but, for some reason, it leaves an actually pretty and elegant scent trail. Now you probably find more interesting and better-performing scents in this category, however, Bright Crystal is still something one will always be complimented on because it is... well, clean.

haus0fXI

I just gotta say: That first initial spray — PURE ALCOHOL.
I actually coughed cause it was intense. But that dry down is such a pretty scent.
Now, I had to return this because of the dry down. Oddly enough.
Though it’s a pretty fragrance, it’s generic.
I usually am curious on why this resells so cheap and I kinda see the point.
If you’re starting off in the world of fragrances and want a safe buy, get this.
It’s girly, sweet and floral.

Maybe at some point, I’ll repurchase this and enjoy it but at the moment, I feel like I have maybe something similar like this in my collection.

gemeljoseph

I layer with Curious by Britney Spears and it is fresh, aquatic, girly and sweet heaven! Perfect combo for work.

iloonytoonx

fresh clean soapy showergel scent

ldbslover

i really don’t understand why people hate this fragrance so much, it’s clean, soapy and nice.

i truly believe so much of the bright crystal hate is just born out of peoples’ “i-must-be-different” complex.

luanneog

It smells clean, soapy like out of shower or bubble bath. It's floral with subdued citrus. It's not my scent profile, I find it a bit generic, unremarkable and done before. Not bad by any means, just not unique in any way. However, my girl loves this type of scents and loved this one immediately when she sampled it.

feuermaiden

Bright Crystal - probably the most generic smelling perfumey perfume in existence.

Smelling this brings me memories of shopping in department store fragrance counters around the Holidays, smelling all the designer perfumes, and they all tended to mix together into whatever Bright Crystal is. It’s girly, it’s pink, it’s flowery. It’s something I can envision Barbie wearing. It’s the high end shampoo they use on you in the salon that you end up buying before you leave.

Or as my husband sums it up - “smells like an accessible perfume from Sears.”

BC is unlikely to offend anyone - it’s fresh, pretty, and clean smelling. Simple and effective if that’s what you’re looking for, but totally not my style or personality.

5/10

KrisGreen

I’ve mainly reviewed the EDP Even after the 2021 reformulation. I’m the kinda guy who sweats a lot and this stuff stays on me longer than any other fragrance I own. It goes well with classic male fragrances like Drakkor Noir, toning down some of the harshness to some scents. The EDT used to smell strong and classy right after your first sprays before the big reformulation. My first big 6.7 ounce bottle in 2022 with the new packaging I was turned off, sad they ruined a masterpiece. Or so I thought.

This time I let a 2022 bottle sit for 12-13 months, savouring my vintage EDT as long as I could. It was weak and had poor longevity after being altered. This now requires months to sit before you see its true beast. I got a travelling spray 5 months ago, it was very weak and smelled anemic despite smelling “nice.” Today it smells strong and has the same character I know and love.

I always used to call this a safe blind but not anymore. This is one of those fragrances that HAS to sit to experience it’s true potential. However it was chemically altered I don’t know. BUT if you’re someone who has a lot of fragrances in rotation, come back to this one months later, it’s night and day.

XOXO_marcel

This is a nice little fragrance. It's soft, floral, and has a touch of a fresh "grape" scent. Super lightweight; you'd have to just about bathe in it to make it noticeable.

If you love this but want something stronger (and cheaper), try "My Dynastie Princess" by Marina de Bourbon.

Ezphi

This could be the safest scent in existence lmao it's unapologetically clean and generic.

CowLover99

I like this perfume. I can definitely smell the pomegranate. I wouldn't say it's sweet, but it is girly with some floral scents. It is a crisp and refreshing scent.

cookygirl

I can't remember if I've ever reviewed this fragrance in the past.
I don't own a full bottle, rather a mini; my second one if I'm not mistaken.
I don't really find anything that compelling here but every now and then I crave this fragrance,
What is unusual about it, is how it performs for me.
It doesn't take center stage for long, becoming a skin scent rather quickly, but then it hovers persistently in the background providing a slightly sharp floral freshness that I find uplifting and refreshing, especially in hot weather.
What is really amazing is how long this fragrance lasts on me - a few dabs from my mini will last literally the entire day, well into the late night.
I've tried the absolute version too but, although very similar to the OG, I found the wood note in it slightly too synthetic for me and the overall fragrance a tad too loud for my preference. I gifted my mini of that one to DD.
This version though is one I might buy a full bottle of when my current mini runs out, providing the reformulation hasn't changed the scent too drastically. My mini predates the implementation of the IFRA Lilial ban.

Update - 2/24 - I had occasion to sample the new post-IFRA rendition of Bright Crystal and I don't detect a major shift in the scent at all, so thank goodness for that.

Eva Wu

For me, Versace in fashion represents the mistress, the baddie, the minx.

No matter how trashy some people might find their designs, for me they are always at the very least distinctive (the medusa prints? those chunky heels? LOVE)

So why on earth are their perfumes SO generic?? And I'd accept generic if they were at the very least pleasant.

This damn thing smells like a peony-scented hand sanitiser, with a bleached, citrusy-fruity top note that belongs in a Hello Kitty body spray. And the lumpy, tacky pink bottle screams bachelorette party favour.

I have no idea how to account for its massive success. Then again, in my drunken college years I was convinced that dancing on tables at parties was cute and not obnoxious, so I guess we can chalk it up to youthful recklessness.

saho93

It’s a perfectly fine fragrance. Flowery, but a bit aquatic and fresh.

blueberrygraveyards

the notes of this one honestly really excited me: yuzu, pomegranate, ice, and lotus!? however, unfortunately, on my skin the complexity these notes may suggest are just completely lost. sooo generic it genuinely surprised me

Szafirowy czar

It's not a bad fragrance but a bit overwhelming for me. Also, not very unique

AuthenticAF

I just got a purse spray today and i really like this. I cant comment longevity yet, but so far i do like it a lot! Def spring summer.
Update: ok i go anosmic to this but others can smell it and give me compliments

eaudebora

Unfortunately I wanted to like this one so bad and
I almost blind bought it but thank god I didn’t.

its so so so boring, there is nothing unique or special about this. the bottle is cute but thats about it. save ur money.

HannahRosesAreRed

I wanted to love this more. Bright Crystal is such a lovely, pretty, inoffensive and lovable fragrance. The scent matches the jeweled, pink bottle–it's vibrant and sparkly. Sweet but not too sweet, cooling and fresh but not too cold. It's fruity, juicy and piquant. I love those aquatic floral notes of sugary, rosy peony and watery magnolia. The touch of waxiness from the lotus is inspired. The blond woods are gentle and nice. Bright Crystal could have been perfect. But it suffers from one crippling weakness, one shared with so many of this luxury label: Its tragic longevity.

It's a good story that ends too abruptly. It's nice while it lasts, but it doesn't last long. Bright Crystal lasted just over an hour before it vanished on my skin, and even then, it was so intimate that I had to overspray to notice it. Versace baffles me sometimes. They know how to make fantastic scents but they just do not last. The only one with any staying power is Crystal Noir. I don't get it.

I love Bright Crystal. But it's so ephemeral that I can't justify myself buying this. Sure, it's not Jo Malone levels of weak, but still. I want my rosy fresh fragrances to last a little longer.

Rwertz123

This was my very first designer perfume I ever got. I still occasionally wear it because I still love the smell. It’s a floral, girly scent that is perfect for a summer day, wearing a pretty yellow dress. It will always hold a special spot in my perfume collection!

monamushroom

It is nothing special. It is a sweet, strong floral that smells like the colour pink. Smells kinda generic, like a shopping mall perfumery.

emilia123

i remember testing this every time i went to ulta or sephora only to be hit with a wave of alcohol. finally bought my own sample and this is very pretty - a very light and crisp fruity floral that reminds me of eclat d'arpege

vanillaorchid

This is not groundbreaking but it's a nice perfume. I prefer the Yellow version even though it seems less crowd-pleasing. To be honest I expected a bit more, but it's still a nice safe gift for a lot of people, especially those yet to be engulfed by the perfume hobby.

princessproxy101

A refreshing scent, I love to wear this in the summer. Smells clean, citrusy, rosey, sweet, and aquatic.

honeyedclover

Classy, demure, refreshing. The definition of a clean, floral fragrance. I have memories of sneaking into my mom's room in the morning before 8th grade and high school (later 2010s), snatching this off her dresser, and applying it. I would instantly feel uplifted by its bright, positive notes. It is simply just girly florals, fresh fruits, and a little aquatic. Kind of like what one may smell like just stepping out of the shower after using a generic flowery body wash and an invigorating fruity shampoo; the smell of cleanliness as she goes to frolic in her lush garden with a cornucopia of spring and summer fruits, some still just blossoms. It is definitely a daytime fragrance, ironically though, nowadays, I enjoy using it as a bedtime perfume, just to get the feel of a clean, floral haze as I lay my head down.

cleanirene

I don’t mind it, but the fragrance reminds me of a strong unisex deodorant.

dj71

I have an older sample of this, so I'm not sure if I'm smelling the most current formulation, but I really enjoy this scent! As someone who is getting bored of my usual scent preferences (normally sweet gourmand), this is such a nice uplifting fresh scent. Not really any sweetness and that's what I like about it! I also feel like the top three accords listed on here really are correct (sometimes, I don't smell the accords as listed on some fragrances). It does smell like a good combo of floral, fresh and citrus balanced nicely together. It's not a super heavy scent either, so would be appropriate office/work scent in my opinion.

auroramaria

I used a few bottles of BC over time, the last one I finished last winter, I find it a beautiful floral and fruity clean fragrance that makes you feel put together. However I bought the new Spring set on line from a very legit store and I guess BC has been reformulated once again as it smells frutier sweeter and not so airy acquatic as it used to, kinda flat too. I wonder if this difference has been noticed by BC long time users if so I would love to know.Even the body lotion and shower gel included in the set did not smell like old BC version

mysticmauve

One of my all time fave perfumes ! I bought it back in 2006 and used a couple of bottles (50 ml and 30 ml). Really hate that it became so popular though... ugh. Overall I tend to really enjoy combination of peony, rose and/or magnolia on one side and litchi, watermelon or pomegranate on the other with musk or vanilla/amber base. Easy and elegant, floral with a fruity aquatic note and powdery and a bit woody as it dries down, gosh I love it so much ! Bright Crystal is like spring in the bottle for me. I dont smell anything shampoo-like or too generic at all and Im very sensitive to smells overall (hence prefer lighter perfumes otherwise its too much). It will always be one of my faves regardless. Also I tend to look for similar-ish perfumes now just to give Bright Crystal a break now and then :) Luckily there are quite a few that smell somewhat similar to me.

chasingbutterflies

This is my favorite perfume to wear to university, it is fresh and sophisticated and good for daytime wear. It is beautiful and womanly, clean and inoffensive but still attractive. Good for office or school especially in spring or summer

Edit: However... It doesn't last long on my skin. It's a shame

Sarahlen

Surprised that this was OK. Not for me but I get it. Perfect name, Bright, sparkling, peppery. Not unique in any way but sort of bc it doesn't fall into that horrible floraly, orange, rose amber musk thing that almost all other mid range perfumes do. I feel like this is truly an in offensive fragrance a good one for ppl who don't know what to wear. Younger for sure. something slightly clean about this

meriel

I bought this when I was younger because I absolutely loved a sample of it, but it never smelt quite the same. It is a little soapy on me, almost powdery, but I don't mind it if I'm in a clean/fresh mood. Honestly wish it was more floral- on me, I can't smell the lotus or magnolia.

Allybabaa

Inoffensive, nothing special, forgettable. Great for a teen or someone who is just getting into perfumes, but I wouldn’t wear this as it’s just so boring and smells like every generic sweet/floraly perfume.

Irina Ya

Smelled it on a customer yesterday, and it smelled like what i was looking for awhile - shampoo/white Dove bar soap, on her. Got a tiny bottle, and on me it did not smell like that. It became a little bit annoying, and i could not put my finger on what perfume reminded me of. Finally I remembered - BEBE Glam Platinum! I do not know why it is not in Fragrantica's library, but it smells exactly like this perfume, which I have. I just do not get annoyed by BEBE one, Versace- is a different story. Returned.

sundayinheaven

Bright Crystal is a shampoo-clean kind of scent. Very refreshing and summery. Smells like a vacation. It doesn’t work on my skin though. Turns sour after a while. It’s also not a very exciting scent as it smells similar to many others.

milkystrawberrycake

This a good everyday scent but unfortunately is not for me :( i wanted to love it but i could not handle it it gave me heart burn. It smells very pretty, clean, like straight out of the dryer clothes with a hint of flowers. I wish i could wear it but it doesn last either. i would recommend you get a sample before buying since some people hate it and other love it.

violeteme

The mother of all nowadays pink niche bottles with the same accord of fresh, chemical, sweet peony or rose. If you like Delina especially La Rosee, Lust in Paradise, Gold Coast, test this too. Or vice versa. This is not a natural peony, it is a fresh, aquatic, fruity floral.

Atomikbomb_

BC is by no means a bad fragrance, at least not in my world. And indeed, I believe there are absolutely times and places for perfumes along these lines. However, I don't find it stirring in the least. It's purely "pleasant", and that truly is the extent of it for me.

I smell a very watery peony along with some citruses in the opening, but the citrus accords don't actually evaporate that quickly, they actually stick around for an hour or two. However, this remains notably light and close to the skin.

It really does dry into the all-too-familiar clean floral&musk base that we've all probably smelled multiple, multiple times. It's definitely refreshing though, and since this predates a lot of similar fragrances, I think we do need to credit this. Other things have copied this DNA, and not necessarily as much the other way around.

Longevity isn't fantastic, but on hot days, gym trips or places where fragrance sensitivities are at large, this could work well.

EV77

Wow..I was shocked that i loved this! I'm usually very sensitive to many perfumes, especially floral scents but I feel the freshness of this balanced the floral really well. This is fresh, airy and a little sweet. It makes me feel pretty and confident. Its not too strong so it does need to applied more often than some, but that doesn't bother me. It has a invigorating quality to it as well.

To me, this a good office, everyday staple scent and I'm glad i found it!

CarmenNola23

BC is simply a well-balanced clean floral fragrance. The opening is fresh, aquatic and green and these notes linger into the dry down, giving it that freshly washed linen feel all the way through. The peony here is not overdone and the magnolia and citrus are little accenting notes, which I enjoy because magnolia can be a bit overpowering. Its longevity is great on clothing, but more fleeting on skin although I did spray it on my wrists last night and this morning I can still smell it faintly. It has a nice trailing sillage. The pomegranate mimics the lychee in similar fragrances, adding a syrupy touch to the icy clean notes. The EDP turns up the volume on the fruity and floral notes, but honestly I prefer the EDT’s cleaner vibe. It’s lovely and anyone can wear it 💎

JennB2022

At first spray, there is a punch of nondescript fruitiness (maybe the pomegranate?) which quickly fades away within minutes. Dry down is a light, sweet floral scent. I do think the notes listed, and even the name, accurately describes the fragrance. The fragrance doesn’t last long on me. Maybe three hours at most. Very aquatic. Will I buy again? No, there are too many other pretty fragrances. However, I don’t regret buying this and trying.

rahatski

This was a gift to me, “you love these sweet floral fresh scents! I knew you’d like it!” from a chypre person.

Every time I try it on I feel faintly insulted, like, “So THAT’s what you think of me?” But we love each other so I’ll never say it out loud.

It’s inoffensive, feminine, quite monotonous. Dangerously sweet if you spray it too close to your face. I don’t like to say things smell “cheap” because I do love my cheapies but on my skin it somehow does smell like corners were cut. On the stopper and at first spray it’s quite pleasantly intriguing but it sadly doesn’t stay like that.

electric_evelyn

This smells nice, but that’s about it. Quite poor performance, weak sillage and a very generic DNA. This tries to be a crowd pleaser, but honestly nobody ever gave me any compliments on it. There are many good, fresh, summery perfumes out there.
You are paying for the Versace tag, sadly.

LulaValentine

I enjoy this perfume a lot. My Mimi (grandmother on my dad’s side) gave me her half full bottle probably a decade ago now, because I told her it was one of my favorite fragrances. I was so happy to have it!

Unfortunately, she passed away on my birthday almost 5 years ago. This bottle only has a few mL left and I smell it anytime I’m missing her and it warms my heart so much.

As far as my personal taste in fragrance, this is pretty and easy to wear but I will always love it because of the special memories it holds and the sentimental scent.

I miss you Mimi! ♥️

sweetyper

I am obsessed with this perfume.
It's fresh and clean and I can't get enough of smelling it. I'm picky about perfume, but this perfume hooked me from the moment I first smelled it. It's floral but not overpowering at all. And it has a warm, sensual vibe that makes me feel like I'm glowing. I swear, I can spray it in the morning and still smell fresh as a daisy when I go to bed. Smelling like a fresh, floral goddess all day long is possible with this perfume!

ChelleBelle84

Just a question after reading some reviews here below.

If you’re into gourmands and don’t like florals, fruity florals, or aquatics, then what are you doing posting reviews on this floral fruity scent? Of course you’re not going to like it. It’s a freaking floral fruity. With your review, you’ve basically bashed a scent for being what it is because it’s in a genre that you don’t even like. I don’t get it. How does that makes any sense?

YourFragranceFriend

The fragrance opens with fresh florals that feel clean and sparingly. There’s something radiant and watery about it. Sometimes, this perfume is slightly overwhelming and punchy in a way that makes me want to wash it off. Other times, it’s just ok. I like adding something more vanilla or ambery to round it out.

As is, Bright Crystal smells dated and not well done. It's something I liked early on when getting into perfumes only because I hadn't smelled much yet. It’s just an EDT, so it also doesn’t last well either. Bright Crystal is worth skipping yet it shows up in so many freebies with purchase that I can’t get away from it.

anisestarss

it's nice, pretty clean and soapy smelling. it smells like an expensive hand soap and is pretty generically pleasing. it's nothing that interesting or special but i can imagine a lot of people being like "yeah, that's nice"

autumnblue914

Clean, floral, unoffensive scent. Works for work and for every day as others have said. I have a sample of it and I have a 5 ml mini of the Absolu so I can compare them both.

Bright Crystal just smells fresh and clean, I mostly smell the peony and lotus. Really refreshing spring and summer daytime option.

However I feel like Absolu is better between the two. It has that slight fruity touch but it's still light, however it lasts longer, so I feel like it's better value. It keeps being a basic and safe every day option while still having a small "punch" to it.

So for someone who prefers this scent I'd go to Absolu purely for the longevity and worth for money perspective, as the slight fruitiness doesn't make the fragrance any heavier at all, just slightly more unique. While still being safe for work and the every day.

Rosemary14

This is the perfume for you if you really don’t like perfume. Back in the day fragrance used to give me headaches and I really couldn’t tolerate it. Probably because I had horrible allergies and sinus problems. If that is the case for you I would recommend something like this fragrance or Clinique Happy, maybe Estée Lauder Pleasures. They’re just watery, clean, fresh scents.

Elektra17

I had this perfume in college and enjoyed it then (2008-2012). It was a nice daily fragrance for me during the spring & summer, and everyone LOVED it. People would always ask what I'm wearing. My best friend is obsessed with it.

It's a pleasant, fresh, clean floral that can work for daily wear. I normally don't like florals but I like (not love) this one. It's very feminine and still crisp, while avoiding being overly sweet. I have a number of clean women's perfume, this is my favorite from that group, probably because it is so feminine and doesn't smell soapy.

I don't remember any individual notes being particularly distinct to me, except for the ice and florals. I'd have to smell it again.

peachnipz

This is a lovely, safe scent. It's not outstanding to me and it fades quickly on my skin. If I received a bottle of this as a gift, I would spritz it on occasionally for work, but I wouldn't buy a whole bottle of this myself. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just missing the *wow* factor for me.

searching for signature

Basic clean, fresh floral.

Spicadk

I love the opening, but it fades quickly, and is too weak.
Update, i dont like the dry down. I just want to wash it of.

Maria19

This is a sure choice for everyday use. Vercace fragrances have not been my thing. This can be sprayed without any worries. A citrus floral scent that doesn't surprise, but it's okay. Yes, this reminds me of Italy. That's a plus.

libralopx

It smells like a candle stand at a department store, not bad but it’s a safe, clean floral scent.

anjunakerry

Oh my gosh! I cannot believe I slept on this one for so long. I'm not usually a fan of EDTs to be fair so probably that's why. Anyway I bought the tester pack with yellow diamond, Dylan blue and Dylan turquoise in it. This is a Peony, lotus, mahogany dream. It smells very watery, Not as in weak but in how I'd imagined a lotus sitting on a beautiful body of water to smell like. Almost how a spa in bali would smell. I cant wait to smell it on my skin in the summer. It has a good sillage for an EDT but I wish it was a bit stronger. I shall be purchasing a full size bottle right after I've typed this out, Along with yellow diamond.

amaliacm12

Juicy, fresh, watery. I had it a few years ago and it smell more intense and expensive than my second time owning it. Now, it's more basic popular perfume. It's still lovely, but it doesn't last very long. Would pick up from tjmaxx but maybe not worth the full retail price.

tomato12

A light effortless fresh floral scent. I can understand why it’s popular because it’s a crowd-pleasing perfume, but it’s not really noteworthy. For what it costs, it doesn’t last at all.

I'm so mad that I blind bought this, because this to me smells absolutely vile!! :( Is this a bad bottle or something? I can't get past this really weird, sharp, bio-waste type of blast that hits the face when you first spray this...I just can't imagine yuzu or pomegranate smelling like this, or literally any note in this.

I need to go to the local store and sniff another bottle of this, if mine is faulty...

toeveh

A fresh, aquatic floral perfume! Not the scent profile I’m into, so I’ve never worn this, but it’s a pretty, light scent. The florals (especially the peony) shine in this perfume alongside ice that gives it this aquatic feel. Reminds me a bit of Aqua Kiss by Victoria’s Secret. I don’t get any fruits in this perfume at all, which is a minus imo.

Steph1323201

For me the scent is so pretty. I love the woody base as it dries. It reminds me of Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet with a more fresh and aquatic feel. Definitely a daytime summery scent that I enjoy on my skin.

raerrr

Light, airy fruit juice! This is an easy every day scent for spring and summer. Refreshing but basic. It smells great but doesn’t last very long for the price. This wears like a body spray. I personally like this better than the absolu. A simply sweet starter perfume.

FeleciaB

I was so sad Dior addict 2 was discontinued until I smelled this. I haven't smelled addict 2 since 2006 but this brings me so much nostalgia - I love it.

snopea

the kind of perfume i want to wear when everything else makes me nauseous.

likesleet

a yuzu, pomegranate, and crushed ice fragrance sounds radically interesting, but sadly this just smells like perfume.

Hifza

It’s a very aquatic and neat fragrance. It has the simple and constant scent which remains intact. Gives an easy breezy vibe and a very smooth feminine scent.

himeboshi

I really like this one especially because of the combination of the fruits and the florals that makes the perfect fresh summer/spring fragrance. it is very classy but simple, and i think you could definitely wear it on date nights as well. not too strong and may not be very suitable if you're into heavier and louder fragrances but if you don't really like getting too too much attention but also want people around you to think "wow that person smells NICE!" I'd definitely recommend it to you. the vibe it gives is like a shy princess who loves to going on picnics and outdoor dates and wears simple clothings to hide her royalty but anyone can tell that she is a princess from a mile away. this might be my everyday scent from now on.

gourmand_girlie

I smell mostly peony, followed by yuzu and pomegranate - but each note smells like the type of fruity-floral note in a hairspray; synthetic, chemical, light.

This faded fast for me (right after spraying I had to lean in close to detect the scent), and wasn't very memorable.

Reminds me of the Clinique Happy DNA, but not as strong or bright - so I prefer Happy over this.

stephanienwc

Personally not a fan of the ice note, but the rest of it is alright. I don't hate it.

SpaceTrex

Boring and cheap. Smells like straight up peonies, maybe a little magnolia. Either way, it's very unimpressive. Take any other peony-forward fragrance and it would smell exactly the same. Bummer.

KELIZ

This is a strong floral scent that immediately strikes me with a bitter celery/peppery bite right off the top. I thought it would disappear after dry down but that sharp bitter is still there though less noticeable. This is a saturated wheelhouse of floral fragrances. Many out there to choose from that are not as off putting as Bright Crystal. The heavy dose of flower combined with the sting of pink pepper would make me feel too self conscious to wear comfortably. It just seems like too much & overdone. This is how it performs on me. I understand it can be an entirely different story on someone else.

LEM922

This perfume came out when fresh citrusy florals were en vogue. bright crystal, chance eau tendre, dolce and gabbana light blue was still going strong... This is not my favorite scent profile in the slightest. I actually revisited eau tendre after having worn it years ago, and realized that I don't really like the smell as much as I used to. I actually never cared for bright crystal upon first sniff, and I've also never really cared for light blue. I know this is now a fairly inexpensive perfume, that you can find it at a lot of discount retailers or online discount sites for pretty cheap… So I know a lot of people will blind buy this. Before you do that, make sure that you like the scent profile. If you like citrus heavy florals with more fresh undertones, then give it a shot. But if you don't care for those kind of scents, don't waste your time with this. Bright crystal and all its flankers are super hyped up, and none of them are really all that great to me personally. Honestly since we're on the subject, the only Versace women's perfume that I do like, is Eros pour femme EDT... Which is also a citrus heavy fresh scent, but it's not as sharp as the bright crystal flakers -- it has slightly more fruity nuances. All in all, very overrated in my opinion, not really all that great. Nothing stand out nothing special. But I know that there's a lot of people out there who would love this, just make sure you know what you like before you buy.

Bright Crystal holds a special place in my heart because it’s the first perfume I wore as an adult. It’s a youthful, girly, fresh, summertime scent. The ice note is what makes this “stand out”. It’s not complex or impressive to the point where someone will stop you to ask what you’re wearing by any means. It’s just an enjoyable, floral designer fragrance.

beta-ionone

It's not everyone's favorite but this is one of the only summer scents that met my criteria when I was first looking for fragrances. (I since then also liked Dylan Blue.) I avoid strong citrus scents because they make me feel like my B.O. is accentuated, I mostly dislike many powdery fragrances, I can't do sickly sweet gourmand fragrances with vanilla during the hot humid summers where I live, and the thing I dislike most of all are 'summer' scents with the salt water or some note that just smells artificial or hair spray that all affordable summer themed scents tend to have. Well, it does have that strange scent I can't describe but it's not as bad as some lower priced perfumes. Is it something I am anosmic to? Anyway, Men's fresh fragrances are so common and varied yet women's fragrances are all the same sticky and salty piña colada or powdery rose and I can't find anything else. Finally, Versace Bright Crystal has a bright floral scent that isn't powdery, thank goodness! Smells floral and clean and when the a/c is broken at work and I'm sweating through my uncomfortable polyester clothes at least I can enjoy the skin scent of Versace Bright Crystal. Lol. I think the sillage must be moderate because I have been complemented on this fragrance before and it does last about 4 hours.

WijayantiKusuma

Out of 50 plus perfume that i own, this is the only perfume that got compliment from my husband. He tend to likes light and sweet perfume and this one, it got him! It is light, musky, soapy and sweet floral. Smells really pleasant but unfortunately it doesn’t last long. Unless you heavy spray it on your body and linen. But I would still repurchase this sweet baby. Beside I love how it smells, it’s also my husband’s favorite.

chrissay

Refreshing, clean, and delicate floral. Probably will have to re-apply, but I really like it.

lanaluvssmellywater

smells like the blue stuff they spray into porta potties

miriamkusnr

this smells like a kids perfume mixed with a cleaning supply 😭

violetaura

I always want to come back to this fragrance. It's so refreshing, not overpowering, and is clean but not at all soapy.

Perfectleebeautiful

This is a nice floral, aquatic scent. It’s very pretty & girly. It would probably work best in the spring & summer. There’s not really much to say about this fragrance. It’s just simple and pretty, and I like it for what it is. It’s not groundbreaking, but I think it’s an easy everyday fragrance to pull off.

Cupcake11

Smells like a nice, fresh shampoo. I can see this as a casual fragrance or a beginner scent for a teen. Its nice, can't say anything bad, but I prefer something more complex for a fruity floral frag.

Shui-Xian

Energic and fresh. Intense with magnolia and peony, alluring by musk.
Lovely in simplicity, very youthful and bright.
Safe casual fragrance. I don't blame my mum-in-law she wears it in her 60ies also. It is a comfort.

KippieBall

This is a great perfume, I gave it to my daughter because she absolutely loves this scent. I feel it suits a younger audience but it appeals to me too.

ca$hm3re

Pleasant clean fresh floral, but not groundbreaking as others said. This should typically be a scent profile that I’d love, and although it’s not a dislike, it’s not a love. It’s just a pleasant girly aquatic floral. I think there are better ones out there for this scent profile.

That being said, this fragrance paints me an image of a BBL Miami girl with stupidly long acrylics and lots of bling. Not sure where that image has come from but it must be somewhere😂

In a way it’d make a good signature scent, but it’s not memorable in my opinion, and I don’t imagine it’s much of a compliment getter. You can’t go wrong with it though at the same time, I just think there’s better out there. Price point is normally quite reasonable for a designer fragrance though it must be mentioned. I imagine the absolu version is nicer.

GinCatsBooks

Its simple, fresh and clean, nothing challenging and no "bad language" so to speak. Bright Crystal is really easy to wear and get along with provided your chemistry works well with sharp fruits and citrus notes. I dismissed this because of people stating how similar it is to my beloved Dior Addict Eau Fraiche (2014) and the various other previous incarnations of Dior Addict 2/Eau Fraiche, it was only when Mr Gin found a mini of this that my mind changed.

Bright Crystal opens up with a crisp, sharp blast of yuzu and pomegranate, its peppy, zesty and really feels "awakening" upon first spritz, I'm not sure what an "ice accord" is supposed to really smell like, but I detect a sparkling quality to the yuzu and the pomegranate. The sparkling theme continues into the drydown with a refreshing peony and lotus which compliments the initial bright notes perfectly, strangely though I can also detect a phantom cherry blossom note, I'm not too sure what notes create it or if its just because of my skin chemistry but I love it!
After about 3-4hrs the sharpness softens and leaves me with a mildly zesty, floral musk.

The longevity is quite short on me which is an absolute shame; 3-4hrs but I'm unsure if this is down to it being the depths of winter here in the UK, the silage is quite intimate to my nose which I have no complaints with as I can notice it and it makes me feel fresh and uplifted but I was told by a few people that this does linger around me in an airy cloud (in a good way!). This is office safe, easy to wear for pretty much occasion and, dare I say it, any season. I wouldn't say this is sexy or an excellent "noir" choice for evening wear, but its fresh, crisp and feels "youthful" without being childish or immature.

I'm glad I purchased this at last, its definitely up there with my favourite easy reach scents for work and for the warmer seasons, its popular for a good reason!

Finka227

To me this smells like freshly washed clothes
Clean light summary even indoor-sy.
Very simple nothing too overpowering just a lovely basic scent.

aaaris

I mean it's alright I guess, it definitely doesn't live up to some of the hype it gets. No complaints from me but no sparkling compliments for this fragrance either.

Walerie

Neutral, soft and fresh. Typical scent for work if you don't wont to be noticed from the scent you wear, but still wants to appear as clean and womanlike. However, this statement should not be understood as a critique, hence, every woman needs that kind of neutral scents. Some perfumes can not be used everyday or in every situation. In those cases, you choose this safe scent and can still feel elegant. Bright Crystal can be used whenever, but the softness and freshness would be most logical during spring and summer and for day wear.

Gionnijulius1820

So bright crystal was one of my 1st real designer, fragences, or real mature fragrance in general that started my journey in fragrances. I love bright crystal and will always have a soft spot for it. To me bright crystal is a STEAL! Great price for the quality, it use to last so so long on me like 8hrs(haven't had a bottle in years have no idea If it's been reformulated since), it was a musky, bright floral scent. It perked me up, it made me feel & smell fresh, it pulled on my body more of the ice, peony, magnolia, and musk. I got complimented on it EVERY where I went! gas station line, grocery store, work, school, everyone loved this mass crowd pleaser on me. Works best straight out of the shower with moisturizer applied 1st. I may grab another bottle to use on days I want something simple but still pleasing to those around me. Great fragrance gift for girls 17 and all the up from there, very versital fragrance. May not be unique, but it is a cute, floral parfum.

klioux

Miss me with this! This is like dropping a feeble bouquet of peonies into rubbing alcohol. I can't get past the astringent quality from the ice. It's the olfactory equivalent of watching a kid try to eat bright blue playdoh - it seems very synthetic and not fit for human contact or consumption.

catonmars

I was in shock when I saw how many positive reviews this perfume got. It smells exactly like scented baby wipes, florals, and chemicals, but not in a clean or sexy way. If I were to imagine this perfume as a person, I would imagine her as a stay-at-home mother of three children who hasn’t gotten any sleep in the last 48 hours. Her husband works 9-5, and when he gets home, he lays down on the couch, cracks open a beer, and starts yelling at her and complaining about work, not even thinking about helping her take care of the house or the kids. DIVORCE, BABES!!

Hasanhmd2

Sexy, fresh and clean fragrance, it smells like a strong athletic, sexy girl in her 20s, basic fragrance that every girl should own in her first few fragrances, the only downside that it’s kinda popular so it’s not very unique but it does smell so good, longevity around 5-6 hours with high projection, overall 9/10 I recommend it to any girl starting a fragrance collection.

LSAUG

A very nice floral that is heavy on peony. It's not my style but if you like office safe light florals that quite pink (the marketing on this is spot on) The yuzu keeps it bright w/out dulling the florals. This is the best thing I have sampled from Versace. A pleasing light, soft, slightly fresh, slightly bright floral. It is quite lovely and suitable for most occasions.

Edit: I'm not usually a big peony lover but I like this one. I will have to test it more the next time I am in Ulta. Like I said the best thing I've sampled from Versace. It can come off as generic to perfume lovers like many of us here, but I can see where this would be a workhorse in any collection or a good gift for a floral lover. It is something a guy could buy a sweetheart w/out knowing what she likes, he just has to know she likes flowers and a light soft musk. This is just easy and sometimes easy is all you want.

mhubbard1961

Very pleasing floral that should be applied with a light hand. I do really like but don't wear that often. It is very reasonably priced.

BougieGirlShops

This is just ok. For me, it sort of blends into the crowd of generic light sweet florals from any designer brand these days, gives off a shampoo/hand wash vibes. Bottle and name match what the perfume smells like, safe buy if you look at the notes pyramid.

Shanipoo

Imagine those perfumes you grew up on modernized. The floral is so light and airy, nothing that would induce a headache. I smell the peony mostly but the lotus plays in giving it a slight aquatic feel. It's a really well done fresh floral!

Neurotictoc

Meh... It is not that good but not that bad. Something about the notes is kind of not fitting together in my nose. Maybe it is the ice note. I kinda dislike it in many other perfumes too so ignore me if you like it. Bright, fresh floral to me. I don't get a lot of fruit. Something about this feels superficial or synthetic, like a shampoo. But then there are good hints of fresh flowers and as it develops on my skin it does become better. Also I find it great for layering with other more masculine fragrances. I think that is where it actually shines. Lasts moderately about 4-5h on me. Longer on clothes. I am in two minds about this. Will propably gift it to my mom as I think she might like it more. ✨ Versace's other frags are wayyyyyy cooler imo.

FragaliciousScents

It's very floral, fresh and light. I'm not someone who love floral as the main note in the perfume but this is nice although it would have to be sprayed further away from my nose because the florals can get too cloying for me. I love the peony. This would be perfect for casual or hot weather. If you like more niche, sweet, or complex fragrances this would not be for you. However this is elegant scent. I did not notice any changes in the smell during the dry down, it smelt the same the whole time.

melissa97

My mom bought this fragrance again today after a long time. So I squeezed 1 spritz on my wrist to remember its smell and to review here. I immediately remembered the smell. I was using this perfume when I was in high school. The scent is more floral than citrus, but yuzu plays a big part in making sure the flowers aren't overpowering. Definitely a spring-summer fragrance. Peony is the main note. A fresh and light fragrance. It's definitely not a sweet one. It has a creamy soft sweetness. Peony is one such flower. Sillage is not much. I could smell it on my wrist for 5-6 hours. But if I had sprayed it on my neck, I probably wouldn't have smelt it after 15-20 minutes.

softy

I do not smell the yuzu or pomegranate in this at all. It has very very light floral scent but it didnt stand out. Disappointed as the notes looked promising....

sleepymirabelle

This just smells kinda like fruity floral garnier hairspray, Its pretty and girly but its not special to me.

dustydreamy

smells like summer pool in a good way..

KerriZ

Sprayed this and loved it! The Yuzu and Pomegranate shines bright taking front and center...But this fragrance has no lastability. Makes me sad.

Lanascola

The first time i tried this i remember being blown away with how pretty it was! However the second time i tried it i couldn't smell it?
