Metal Redux is the brand's follow up to their cult debut 2017 fragrance, Fumabat
Just buy it, the apple and cinnamon intro to this fragrance is sooooo enjoyable (if you are into fruity fragrances that is), I was thinking it was cherry till I looked at the notes... The leather comes in later on, but its a nice escape from the standard Monkey Special Iommi. I'd have loved to get the special edition signed version, but 650 smackers, seemed a bit too much for me & it was already sold out. This will rock in the summer.
Chouette Vierge Parfumée Nébuleuse de L'abeille Opening: **Zoologist Bee:** Initially emits a stinky slighly , salty scent. The honey note is faint with a fresh ginger hint. **Nébuleuse de L'abeille:** Sweet, cheesy (like royal jelly), with a more pronounced honey note and a hint of alcohol. **At the 5-minute after:** **Zoologist Bee:** The stinky slighly and salty notes become more defined. A light honey scent emerges, accompanied by a fresh, woody green note. **Nébuleuse de L'abeille:** The scent becomes clearer. The sweet honey wine note is more intoxicating. No sourness or saltiness. Slightly cheesy smell like royal jelly. **At the...
Yes, it does resemble lemon and ginger but it's too bitter for me to want to wear. Maybe it is appealing if you are looking for a realistic representation of the notes but I want to smell nice, not like I just prepped food or made a cocktail for somebody. Could be fun and interesting as a layering scent but it's too simple on its own. Performance is below average with a light projection and a few hours of longevity.
The box calls it A spirited romantic fragrance with a lush floral beginning and deeply sensual undertones. I call it Fruchouli boiled down to a syrup.
### Initial Spray with opening: Berry fruits, red raspberries, with a slight tartness of blackcurrant. Fresh and vibrant. A slight hint of astringency. The top notes are juicy, sweet, and delicate. ### 5-10 minutes: The sweetness of the fruit diminishes, and the astringency of green tea intensifies. There's a faint hint of jasmine. However, the dominant note remains fruity tea. ### 15-20 minutes: The astringent note of green tea becomes more pronounced, complemented by a clean musk. The sweetness fades quickly but maintains a stable base. The fruitiness retains a light, slightly tart raspberry note. ### Overall Scent: The scent is airy yet...
Balsam resin A touch of warm sweetness from amber and rum Green violet leaves and fresh wood Leather Gentle sweetness (possibly from tonka bean) A hint of betel nut, a light betel aroma Key scent combination: the greenness of violet leaves and wood, the pungency of balsam resin, the richness and darkness of leather, and the sweetness of tonka bean. Overall: fragrant, sweet, and the balsam resin gives a slightly vintage feel. The scent is thick, dark, and rich. Moderate projection and long-lasting. Imagery: fresh A95 gasoline smelled from the tank, but more fragrant. The gasoline of modernity The rum of luxury The betel nut aroma of...
First, there's a hint of barley-like fermentation, slightly intoxicating. A touch of flowers and overripe berries, very seductive and captivating. It might be a blend of bay leaf with berries and something else that evokes this barley-like fermentation. Then it transitions to a floral combination that strongly recalls a vintage feel. There’s a bit of sweet and spicy resin from incense and balsamic notes, along with tolu balsam and patchouli. These two layers frequently interchange, smoothly blending modern and classic elements without being abrupt or indistinct. If it stopped here, it would be a bit disappointing. But it doesn’t. As the...
The sweet Chinese tradictional medicine scent emerges, thick and very sweet (from the cognac), with very strong projection. It fills the entire house. The projection has been tested twice in a closed room and a coffee shop. From a distance of about 10 meters, everyone comments: it smells like Chinese tradictional medicine! Depending on the skin, on mine, it takes about 30 minutes to start absorbing and dissolving, revealing a black, bitter coffee scent. On cooler or female skin, it takes longer, while on warmer skin, the opening note can pass in 5-10 minutes. No sugar, no milk, no mint, no camphor. The coffee note is strong, neat, and round. The...
I almost always wear Chanel Boy in bed. The lavender really helps me relax. I just apply one spray to my throat and lie down to read. Do you wear perfume when you are getting ready to sleep? What are your thoughts of the habit?
I wonder if my recently bought Joop!Homme edt would be better after one or two months maceration? I know that arabian scents are gettin' better. What are your toughts on it, or is it just watered down since coty has it in there hands?
I'm new to perfume. I want to buy a light-smelling perfume with a light floral fragrance for my wife. I have a budget of 200 US dollars. Do you have any recommendations?
Are L'Homme and Pour L'Homme the same fragrance? The squat bottles labeled "Pour L'Homme" seem to be have been distributed in Europe. https://pimages.parfumo.de/720/36143_img-4290-roger__gallet-pour_l_homme_eau_de_toilette_720.jpghttps://thecandyperfumeboy.files.wordpress.com/2012/05/lhomme-edt-100ml.jpg
Hello! I am totally new to the perfume making!! I was looking for a guide of a step by step to make your own perfume but could not find one... Could someone help me? I read that its a NO NO to put carrier oil and glicerine, so it is just esencial oils and alcohol? Is dimethicone copolyol a must? Thank you!
Ketak is a grass which is dried and used for woven goods such as baskets originating from the island of Lombok, Indonesia. This material smells amazing--it is intensely dark and smells of phenolic, dry, ancient wood. It's much more animalic than vetiver but less spicy than cypriol. Despite much searching I have found no extraction of this material or useful synonym for it. Occasionally it is referred to as "rattan" and I'm not positive, but I believe rattan to be an entirely different plant and ketak is simply referred to as "rattan" because the two plants are both used for weaving. The island of lombok seems mostly disconnected from the english speaking...
They go well with a strong-imposant, mature personality. The original formulations were out of this world, quality-wise.
Right now I have: Dior Homme 2020 Dior Homme Intense Prada L'Homme Bleu de Chanel EDP YSL Y EDP Versace Eros EDT CDNIM Planning on selling Eros and CDNIM, and I feel like BdC and Y do the same thing for me so may sell one of those? Thoughts on what situations I'm not covered and other frags I should test?
Hi All, I’m newbie in making perfumery. I’m trying to get how middle east smell like Sultani, Amiri, Resala by Arabian Oud or even Rasasi Hawas can smell middle eastern. They don’t have oud, but more woody smell. But the woody smell middle eastern. What kind of material usually middle east put, is it different kind of sandalwood or cedarwood smell?
