Smells like smarties .. so yummyy

MarieMarie

I think I just have to admit that I've grown to love sweet, fruity scents, now.
I really like this one; very juicy, I smell some type of (not overly sweet) fruit and vanilla.
The new composition on the website lists: Davana (a scent I didn't know, apparently very plum-y), Bourbon Vanilla, White Cedar, Rose, Patchouli.
I don't smell any flowers but quite a bit of patchouli. It dries down to a sweet, powdery, slightly fruity scent.

It doesn't last long on my skin but seems more persistent on clothes! A good compromise could be spraying a bit on wrists and a bit on fabric.
Very happy with this!

Warmbroodje

I sprayed it and the smell has something so familiar... but I couldn't remember what it reminded me of. Ha! And now I suddenly know: Opium by Yves Saint Laurent. But a light one, a sheer Opium.

The differences of perceptions people have of this scent is fascinating.

This was love at first smell for me. I get narcotic white flowers on a humid night. It smells like the edge of a meadow, where honeysuckle and star jasmine vines have taken over, and thick air wafts in waves of gardenia. Maybe tiare. I get the litchee, but it’s the sticky juice clinging to an empty cocktail glass, less than the identifiable whole fruit. This is inviting and uplifting. It’s unique. I cannot stop huffing my skin where I sprayed this.

daley999

No vanilla or plum here for me, just a gentle, evanescent cedar which I adore. Sadly, gone too soon but not forgotten...

Edit: Aha! A thread of savoury vanilla kicked in just before Cinderella kicked off her remaining glass slipper and legged it. Sigh

Where did it go? I did not like it when I was observing the top notes. An hour later I went in for another sniff to see how it has developed, and it’s gone. Completely gone. Maybe it would last longer on fabric, but I don’t know if that would be a good thing.

To me this smells like the wax lips you'd get as a kid. It's nostalgic and I quite like it.

2whit2quit

Very yummy scent, and a scent memory I cannot quite place. Astro-Pops suckers maybe?

Vellocet

A very soft and inoffensive fragrance. It actually reminds me of coca cola, which is not a bad thing at all. I like it!

SilkyWoods

Interesting take on vanilla! Fresh without being overly summery like some fresher vanillas are. A spring scent. A hint of sweetness, but mostly floral vanilla.

symphony5mvmt3

Very nice. I do like the distinct bourbon-ness of it. I feel like this would be perfect for ~intimate situations ~ but maybe not so much if you want people to catch the scent as you walk down the street. I find it to be a little medicinal but that's probably due to the bourbon-ness.

ViouAmara

This one is a very good sweet and fruity, almost peachy vanilla. Very summery and jammy.
Am I the only one noticing davana is missing in our fragantica notes?
From the website : » Davana, Vanille bourbon, Cèdre blanc, Rose, Patchouli. »

This smells ah-maze-ing. So fresh and a little bit fruity, but nice undertones of rum and vanilla. The only thing is it doesn't last a very long time on me, although it is a cologne so this is expected. I appear to have lost my 10mL bottle so I guess this is "I used to have it" now, since I don't know if it's worth rebuying. It has a ~sort of similar vibe to Mailin and Goetz's Dark Rum, but fresher and fruitier, and less intense. I love Dark Rum *a lot* so I'll just keep wearing that one.

From the first sniff, this became my signature scent.
Signature scent for summer and spring albeit. I was very surprised when I saw the note combination, because I do not smell any of the scents mentioned, expect for vanilla.

Davana & Vanilla opens with a fresh lemon scent, almost like the taste of a perfect lemonade and follows by a rich bourbon vanilla. The balance of citrus and sweetness is perfect. I cannot smell any patchouli, jasmine or rose, there is no hint of lichi or plum either, just pure lemon and vanilla.

Went to TJ Maxx yesterday to return some items, wasn't looking to get anything, but ended up looking at the new perfumes they had. When I came across this one, I had to grab it. It's such a unique vanilla scent. I had never come across anything like it before. And yet, something about it reminds me of something long forgotten.
From the name, I thought it was going to be a deep, earthy vanilla scent, but it's actually quite light and sweet. I'd describe it as a fruity, floral, patchouli with a sweet (light, not cloying) vanilla finish. The initial spray has oranges and fruitiness, but it quickly settles down to a light, fruity patchouli scent with a sweet vanilla background.
I love this on myself, but I could also see a guy wearing the hell out of it. It's distinguished and sophisticated, but also light and pretty. It's odd, I can picture a man or woman of any age wearing this. On younger wearers, the sweet vanilla and fruitiness would be highlighted. On older wearers, the floral patchouli (patchouli and jasmine) would be highlighted.
If you ever run into a bottle, def try it!

This is my second time trying a 100 Bon scent, as I find them to be interesting and non-headache inducing for the price. I don't think I quite like Davana Vanille Bourbon as much as Amaretto & Framboise Poudrée, and it doesn't have the same surprising sillage bursts, but it isn't bad. Neither have longevity past a few hours, but that is par for the course when it comes to this type of perfume.

I'd describe this scent as a fruitchouli before vanilla-centric. I seem to be very sensitive to the note, however it is not dirty as much as deep and tropical smelling. I do not get the plum as much as citrus and litchi with some woods. It reminds me a lot of a gum I used to chew in high school, I believe it was orange Orbit. Quite unisex.

For more vanilla, I successfully tried layering with Pacifica Island Vanilla. I also imagine it would be good paired with a naturalistic citrus scent, I may try one of the Atelier scents. I tend to run very cold so I have a feeling this may do better on me as a summer frag.

uncoolranch

Although there's a strong alcoholic scent during the initial spray, the dry down turns into a wonderfully fruity and herbal scent with hints of vanilla.
If you're looking for a vanilla-scented perfume without smelling like a candy store, go for this.

Aqua74rella

I adore this scent! It is warm and soft and powdery, yet not too sweet. I also find it very elegant and classy. I am very particular about perfumes; many that I loved first somehow begin to disturb me as time passes. Not this one: There's hardly ever anything disturbing in it; wearing it just makes me feel happy and good, and I've had it for more than a year now. It's not a typical vanilla scent - I couldn't even isolate vanilla in it. I think the patchouli note contributes to its elegance, whereas a fruity note adds softness. It is also a very comforting scent.

Let’s talk about this!

I like it, really do. It’s quite unique and interesting , nothing you can get from mainstream scents.
However, what is triggered in my mind with smell this is a wealthy grandpa LOL a classy and kind man, with a lot of old money and has really lived.

The combination of notes to me is a very vanilla cedar and bourbon. Really interesting. Soft enough for a woman to wear (which is why I do) but definitely see this as unisex.

I mix it with Diptyque Philosykos and the combination is delish (thanks to the recommendation of the girl from MECCA)

Jmalone84

This is so light, natural, à little sweet. Don't really sense vanilla, it's more litchi and orange but nice and clean. For me like a mix of dryer sheets and light sweetness. Apparently won't harm your health either. It's soft but long lasting and very affordable. I really love this smell. It's not cloying at all like most fragrances these days.

Shwets

Quite long lasting and doesnt smell vanillary to me but along the lines of Coco Mlle and Jimmy Choo but in a natural version!

NessS

I’ve only tried this on a card so far but can’t stop thinking about it. Contrary to the name it’s not as sweet as it sounds! Bright fruity citrus sunshine top notes drys down to a soft warm woody scent. Not picking up a lot of vanilla on the card. Was pleasantly surprised. Looking forward to trying it on properly.

Kaninen

This is my happy summertime scent alongside Lush Karma.

My skin tends to amplify vanilla which bores me. But this is not a vanilla scent on me despite it´s name.

It´s fruity and happy with a lot of plum and apricots. And something youthful. I don´t consider it particularly sweet on me, more tangy. It´s far away from my usual favorites and not a scent I wear often. but when I do, I just feel happy!

I just might use it today to get a glimpse of summer in the middle of the snowy and cold winter in the Swedish north.

My mother gave me this perfume when she cleared out her makeup and fragrance box. She let me smell this scent and then asked me if I had any interest in using it myself. I said yes and gladly received this scent.

So why did I say yes? Let me tell you. I find this scent unique, it might be because I don't have much experience with scents and fragrances besides that I find this scent to be a perfect fit for me. To me it's very upbeat and bright an fits for a young outgoing woman who want to come off as sophisticated. That's the impression this scent gave me and therefore I thought it would fit me well, which it did. I also find this scent very different from what other young women would wear, for example the popular scent Aquiline Pink Sugar that is just too sweet for my taste.

I sprayed this fragrance on my shirt about 2 hours ago and while I'm writing this review while laying in my bed I can't stop sniffing my shirt! At the moment i’m in love this fragrance. I will definitely purchase it again after I have emptied my current bottle!

Update to my previous review below:

Now that I've given this another try, the sweet cherry-vanilla base is coming through so much clearer. I'm liking this much more all the time and will definitely see myself using this as my "cozy evenings at home" scent, maybe as my bedtime scent as well.

The blend of the strong and deep woody cedar and sugar syrupy sweetness in this is somehow very comforting and homely. Like an old wooden house with someone baking sweet goodies inside.

SaraX

This is the kind of scent I would never have purchased if I had the opportunity to test it first. But I blind bought this based on the notes and reviews here, and now I'm trying to learn to like this.

I wish I would get the fruitiness or even the vanilla, but it seems that all I get is cedar, cedar and some more cedar. Warm and very deep cedar and then, if I try very hard: a sweet background there underneath all the cedar and a hint of patchouli.

I guess I will have to learn to like cedar on me then.

And yes, I will definitely give this scent a few more chances, since this is an interesting sweetly flavoured deep cedar, which I have never encountered before. I could actually very easily see men wearing this.

Christycaxxx

Lovely fruity sweet scent that is not overbearing and wearable all year round. The dry down of the vanilla and lychee notes are just divine and the cedar notes appear as a warm scent. Thank goodness the patchouli note is not obvious on my skin. One of my favourite vanilla scents as it is softened by the lychee and wears very nicely day or night. Longevity so far has been 4 hours but sillage is soft. For me, this is similar to First Instinct For Her by Abercrombie & Fitch but a lot more softer and not patchouli heavy. I will be wearing this to work. Reasonably priced in Mecca (where I bought this from) for $57 in Australia. Successful blind buy!!

Best of the best of 100 bon
I got the sample of this i can say its unisex but i prefer smell it on women
So nice smelling so vanillia and plums love this
After some minutes i got some soft vibe of patchouli too but they are so light
A perfume that reminds me when i spray in on my arms it was Scent Intense by CoSTUME NATIONAL
It has a little bit masculine vibes but i prefer to go on costume national becasue of it has a way better than this in performances and it last more and project better than this
Love this scent on girls who are less than 30 years old and so happy and crazy
My rates :
Scent : 7/10
Performances : 2/10
Longevity :1/10
Projection :1/10
Value of money : 2/10
Overall : 2.6/10

First time I used it I thought it smelled like candy and scented christmas candles. Nice and sweet, but nothing I would like to wear.
Still, something made me try it a couple more days, and it actually grows on me. Now I get a warm deep woody scent that I love.

The opening of Davana & Vanille Bourbon is quite peculiar on my skin. I was not prepared for a deep, bittersweet herbal scent when first spraying this perfume, slightly reminiscent of the gothy, waxy patchouli in Annick Goutal Mon Parfum Chéri. Having tried all 10 initial launches from this house, I find it the most challenging opening among its siblings.

This almost resinous, bittersweet quality gradually mellows during the first hour, and a rich, decadent fruity melange of apricot and peach rises and gets splashed upon by a few drops of herbal Chartreuse liquer, which seems to be the major characteristic of davana. There is also a few litchis and black currants here and there, but I don't perceive vanilla as a distinctive note, more like a reliable supporter to smoothly carries the scent to the base.

The sillage is moderate at first, but quickly drops close to the skin. The longevity is barely 6 hours on me.

Being unfamiliar with davana, I was really surprised the first time to find out a hedonistic apricot/peach liqueur fragrance upon applying Davana & Vanille Bourbon. I was also taken aback by the somewhat brutal, waxy patchouli opening. But once I know what's to expect, Davana & Vanille Bourbon is actually quite daring for fragrances at this price range. If you happen to be looking for an affordable, rich apricot liqueur fragrance, and don't mind a waxy patchouli opening, I think it definitely worths a try.

oud-molly

The first spritz is a lovely mixture of fresh exotic fruits (litchi?) and a bourbony vanilla, but it fades in a few minutes. After that the patchouli notes of the fragrance come out, and I think it's the dominant note of this fragrance. After a few hours the vanilla comes back with cedary notes, which is really pleasant. All in all, this a natural fragrance, and I think this shows in it's quick fading and also in the woody scent that I find lurking in many other natural fragrances. I don't quite know what it is, but it's also for example in Acorelles fragrances.
