A better version of Flower by Kenzo. Just more floral nuances, less of Johnson & Johnson baby oil and baby powder. When I put some water on the top it blends so nicely with my natural smell.
*but far from CREED

Innocent little soapy perfume, slightly flowery and soapy. Not very strong. Good value for money. Everyday grab, easily. I like it.

Slightly creamy in the most sublime way, pure, gentle, beautiful; for me, a better version of Creed's Love in White but this doesn't have the ambergris, that is a little too much for me in Love in White; my sense of snell is very acute & a smidgen of Ambergris in the base of something like Love In White can bother me - espc bc it smells quite "oily." I love this one - but the staying power is absolutely dreadful, though I still love it. At one point it was plentiful - but it was still £ Forty something Pounds here, which for that staying power was ridiculous, but eventually I got several backups though for almost body spray staying power it's a bit cheeky. Now you can only find it in the UK on Makeup UK & Parfum Dreans - don't do it ppl! (Makeup UK will let you order a Perfume & then send you a different one; they immediately sent me a delivery note for products from this particular brand - but for a "berry" Perfume they make, I forget the name; & I had to pester them forever & get VERY unnecessary threatening them with allsorts if thry sejt me the wrong thing, to get a Refund (& that was when they had PayPal facility!) - these 2 jokers HAVE none og thid Perfume but they are Trying to Offload the unpopular perfumes of this brand, so save yourself the effort. I think in the U.S, though -, the Philippines & all over Asia you could buy this for $31 Dollars & it was on many "Affordable Perfume Videos on YT, wish I'd found it sooner!

If anybody has an unopened or newish, barely sprayed bottle they don't want, let me know bc I have many for swaps & will happily swap, I'm a bit of a massive collector of Fragrances, I'm always looking for subtle & beautful perfumes & to me this is gorgeous (Except only for short periods, if I hv a busy day I don't wear this - it needs to be on skin to get that beautiful slightly creamy scent so spraying on clothes won't work in this case. If thr lasting power was good I'd give it 9 out of 10 bc the Japanese & East Asian perfumes profile & aesthetic is one of my favourites

I've read many comparisions to soap, dove, nivea and that was, what has initially drawn me to this parfume, but I can't quite agree with that. This one is very flowery, the creamy note that I so hoped for, is non-existent. Longevity weak, sillage close to none, after 5 years of trying to finish my 80ml bottle, I think I'm tired.

I had it and write review about half an year ago and now I got it, what’s was wrong.
The soft notes here are great. But everything else it’s just toilet air freshener… not even soap… at first I liked it but then opened up so weird…

If you love Creed's Love In White but not willing to pay the price, try this! Despite the notes which read quite different, the smell itself is almost identical. For me the biggest difference is the spruce in Shiro's base which definitely gives an undertone of pine. As if you would have a walk in a pine forest, wearing Love In White. A very lovely, somewhat powdery white floral bouquet with a soft spruce undertone. I do like this, can enjoy it, but since I fell in love with Love In White before tried Shiro, this cannot grow into a real love. The two scents are so similar, but still, Shiro lacks something that makes LIW elegant and classy and which I miss so much, simply, I cannot really value Shiro on its own, but keep whishing it would be LIW... Otherwise, I would highly recommend this frag to anyone who loves clean, balanced, soapy scents.

similar to baby wipe, or wet wipe
also has lotion quality,

its better in the air to me, more clean cotton

be careful on blind buying if you find baby wipes unpleasant

Alciia

Smells like blue laundry softener.

Snowy sweet powder as it is. The iris here is dry and cosmetic, the rose is crisp and cold, and of course, pure white musks. The fragrance is like fresh soft linen, warm white cashmere that hugs you by the shoulders. A clear association with an early winter Saturday morning, when there is no need to rush anywhere, you can lie in a cozy bed and drink tea. The fragrance will suit everyone who works closely with people, because it does not create discomfort around. But be careful, this snow-white bottle in the humid heat can smother with its musk.

Hmmmmmm... Masaki Shiro is just so spartan. There's absolutely no sweetness and not much in the way of discernible flowers that I can recognize, at least. I suppose there's a kind of muskiness there, but it's certainly neither a sweet floral musk nor a vaguely animalic musk; I guess it's a kind of a laundry musk, but it's not even that strong, such as in Cool Water Sea Rose, for example, which I really like. Shiro is just sort of there, but even then, just barely there. There's not much going on, to my nose, at least. But what I found really interesting here -- and it's one of the reasons why I'm so enamored of testing out new things -- is how experiencing Shiro served as a bridge to helping me understand another scent in my collection that I'd hitherto rejected. This is how it happened... :)

When I first sprayed Shiro, it struck me as very bitter but, thankfully, the bitterness subsided after 10 or 15 minutes, and then I no longer felt like scrubbing it off; sometimes you have to give these things time to see how they develop, because stuff can really change and/or your nose can get used to it! The opening and undertones reminded me of the bitter opening of Avon Dreamlife, which happens to be blended by one of my favorite perfumers of all time, Calice Becker. She created such gorgeous aquatic floral masterpieces as Estee Lauder Beyond Paradise, Dior J'Adore, and Oscar de la Renta Oscar Flor. Yet, Dreamlife is the only perfume by Becker that I immediately rejected and put in my "To give away/sell" basket. So, after spritzing on Shiro, I pulled out Dreamlife to see how they compare. As it turns out, they do share a bitter undertone -- but from what, I just can't put my finger on; looking at their fragrance notes, rose is the only thing they share and, while I get some hints of rose in Dreamlife, I surely don't in Shiro. Boy, it's so funny now how, in comparison to Shiro, Dreamlife is a much sweeter, more complex fragrance! I definitely cannot say I love Dreamlife now but, in comparison to Shiro, it could be something I could grow to enjoy. Shiro, on the other hand, is, for me, mostly a whole lot of nothing. But I could see how people who enjoy extremely light, unobtrusive, vaguely musky perfumes might enjoy Shiro.

Not bad but not my cup of tea. It's very soft but I think it's the spruce note I don't like. It's soft and powdery, reminds me of Ralph Fresh and Avon Haiku Reflections. but softer and doesn't project as much as these. I can see it might remind some of an air freshener. Update: Just tried it again a month later; same but the spruce isn't bothering me as much. I really do like the soft top notes they are all my favorite notes, I might have made it more aquatic underneath or something the spruce isn't bad. It still reminds me of the hinoki type exotic woods in the frags I named but it's not as strong as those. The base it's that spruce/hinoki and the soft notes, it's just a tad sweet I don't mind it and I loved the top notes so much but I just don't think I'll keep this FB I prefer other frags but this is sort of a zen like cottony fragrance where I usually don't consider these softies zen-like I could see wearing this while I'm meditating. It's just not my generation I think I have other bigger faves but I'll try once more before selling. Note again, it does quickly become a skin scent/wrist sniffer and for me that's a plus in healthcare. I smell wafts only here and there when I'm running around alot and heating up lol and I actually like to keep my 'fumes mostly to myself except the occasional shared waft.

Hunted high and low for a bottle of this. When I first sprayed this it smelt quite masculine to my nose. Then it settled and it's everything everyone said it would be and more. Beautifully floral and powdery, I feel like I'm always chasing the scent on myself as I cant get enough.

Years ago I bought a dupe version of this from FM perfumes and loved it . I had never smelled the true version but when FM discontinued it , I searched the Internet for months and finally today my dream was granted. It smells divine. Clean, soft and fluffy, like freshly laundered towels in a luxurious fabric softener. Its nothing like ANY of my other fragrances. (Check them out, im quite eclectic) . The bottle is also a true masterpiece. Its a love from me. 🥰🥰🥰

Mangaetteok

This reminds of Creed Love In White, but I prefer this. It's nothing like Moschino Toujours Glamor - that is talcum powder while this is a real "lotion" perfume. Beautiful, but poor lasting power. Doesn't smell like AS Shi either; in fact, when it was out of stock all over the UK, I bought various bottles to replace it & nothing was like it. Lasting power is absolutely atrocious though - & you cannot spray this on clothes, it doesn't smell the same on fabric. Love this one, it's such a clean, smell, like beautiful white lotion; & almost a fabric softener smell; & I love clean, myself.

This is Japanese to the core (unlike Shiseido perfumes which never are, for some reason) - but this is a huge hit in Japan, & in the rest of East Asia; & I love the aesthetics of both S Korea & Japan (different, ofc) - & that particular genre of perfumes, v much.

(I should say; Jennifer Lopez Still is made from.some screechy aroma chemicals, that give me a headache, I hv a huge bottles & was shocked; cannot wear it, sorry - maybe it's fine in the sillage for some ppl, & am not criticising anybody who wears it but I cannot this isn't like that - & I will swap Still with anybody who likes some of my swaps - there's a J Lopez "Still body lotion" included if anybody would like! This, though is lovely)

d_silent_one

Ok, so I just received this and sprayed it on my arm while I was doing chores in my house. It is very dry and soft. There's not a hint of sweetness in here, I would say it's an unsweet perfume. It is very tea like. This smells white and plain, much like it's bottle's aesthetics: minimalist. So far, it's boring. I could compare it with Still by Jennifer Lopez, but I find Still more "interesting" than this one. At least Still makes me feel like its namesake: Still, contemplative, lost in thought, quiet. This one does not evoke the meditative bliss that Still evokes. This is just blah and plain. It is reminiscent of Love in White by Creed, but LIW includes some subtle sweetness at least. This one doesn't. This is for the person who just needs to smell clean, but not necessarily out-of-the-shower clean. This is for the one who cannot wear a perfume, period. I have to give it more tries to see how it really develops on my skin.

monkmonks

I like this. Fresh, clean, laundry soap. Minimal. Was looking to replace Sea Island Cotton. I certainly get the similarities, but to me this is very close to Alfred Sung Shi. Shi has a rice note that I think the cotton is in line with.
Shiro is a beautiful bottle and quality fragrance, but cost-wise you can get a bottle of Shi for $20.

SHIRO Masaki Matsuhima, This fragrance is ME, my signature scent ;-)), I'm not looking for "my" fragrance anymore ... because I found it. I have around 100 different fragrances in my collection. I like freshmen but with a claw. This is what the fragrance is, fresh, balsamic, pure, blissful, innocent. But the claw has nothing to do with ... a sloth, large and sharp, coniferous and forest. The fragrance is made of white, crystal white baby t-shirts and rompers hanging in a coniferous forest. It cannot be forgotten. It's my air and water at the same time ;-)), it's my second skin and love. This is my # 1 in my +, - 100 bottle collection. It is also a smell thanks to which strangers on the street accost me, and even run after me and, out of breath, sweaty, barely alive with an expression of eyes like a cat from Shrek 🥺🙃 they ask me: "I'm sorry but what do you smell so beautiful !! even a similar smell in 1%, they are similar, yes, but I have not met such purity with a forest, coniferous overtone, so if they withdraw it, I will die a natural death. ;-)) therefore I have 7 bottles and I hope to the end of my days are enough for me

Susana444

I love scents that remind me of fresh laundry. This one is simply perfect. I have been looking for my signature scent for a very long time as I am very sensitive to strong scents and get headaches easily. I work in an office where people never wear perfumes so I wanted a soft one. I have to say that it reminds me a lot of Byredo Bal D’Afrique. I own a sample of it and they both smell so similar in my wrist!

Sylvanas

I tested this a couple of times on my wrist while I had Creed Love in White on the other wrist, and they are super similar. However, something in Love in White makes me frown upon sniffing it, while I enjoy every sniff of Shiro. To me, Shiro smells far more pleasant, but yeah, the longevity is very poor even when overspraying. I bought a full bottle because I love the scent very much, but I rarely wear it out because it won't last.

etakoetako

Love this fresh, clean scent! Blind bought based on the notes, and I am in love! It is a perfect right out of the shower scent, with a beautiful floral, musky undertone. Gives me a feeling of power and confidence. Type of perfume you want to smell like when you're wearing a white rib knit tank top or an expensive white cotton t-shirt.

riabanana

Fresh, powdery, laundry detergent smell, which I like. Not sure about the longevity and staying power, it seems a bit weak. Also I feel like this could pass as a unisex perfume.

Edit: Just smelled the bottle cap and it smells like Pur Blanca to me.

perfumeaddiction

This one is very clean and fresh. I absolutely love the bottle. If you have smelled Nivea hand cream in the blue tub this smells just like it. It also smells like Moschino Toujours Glamour. Not an exact dupe they both differ but very much in the same vein. If your seeking a pretty clean fragrance with nice longevity yet not one that is screaming I am here in your face then this is your girl. So happy with it.

Roqfort

This is my first women's fragrance that I use, and just love.
Subtle, elegant, cozy, relaxing and simply beautiful.
I have not experienced such a nice experience with any other scent for a long time.
Projection moderate, but longevity almost whole day. That's what I like.
Perfect for whole year, any season, no matter it's a rainy day or the sun.
For me, it's a beautiful unisex...

frappuccino7

Dove classic shower gel, soap, soap, soap...

Pianomelody

Clean, kind and young... a caress in the wind. This is a special fragrance, suitable for spring or summer days, the cotton flower and the cyclamen give off a tender and clean aura, a soft but intoxicating sillage. A modern eau de parfum, which does not go unnoticed..love it!! =)

Sillage: 5.5/10
Longevity: 7./10
Scent: 8.5/10

Overall: 8.5/10

Coconutt

This one is soooo good.
Unique. Cold, yes...But i think dark blue would describe it much better than this white does...

Definitely unisex.
I can imagine it on both sex no difference.

There's something hot and sexy in it...Deep and mysterious. It's not for "barbie girly girl"...It's for woman.
It's def my favorite fragrance lately. It suits cold and hot temperatures...Day or night. Even though it's sillage isn't that great, so if you prefer your frag goes in everyone's face u might wanna use something else for club nights...
For me this is very "pro" designed fragnance. I just LOVE IT!!
p.s. also, i got a few compliments wearing it, mainly from man ;-)

ana hen

I want it so much but trying to hold myself not to purchase now -before just use many others at closet:).

I miss chloe innocence many many years -and shiro at his sterile sweet delicate scent remind this perfume. Everything at shiro it's me .white silk ,elegant fresh notes .

mendosita

This one is clean, almost sterile. Very cold. Unisex for me. Minimalistic, sharp. Reminds mi more of a body lotion/cream scent than a fresh loundry. Very interesting and unique.

scoovale

This scent seems to be a copy of Creed's Love in White. It is a good one, very fresh, like all his parfumes. They are all so cool and acquatic. They smell great although some of them are in my opinion very eighties.

Arlene-Beatrix

Strange scent, nice, but very powdery and clean. Elegant for sure and office safe because it smells more like a deodorant than perfume.

magda14012

Got a sample at Sephora and I am trying to get some sense of the tests. It smells linear, clean, a bit musky. Stays close to skin. Reminds me of fresh laundry that dried outdoors.

pauluch3

From Japanese, the word Shiro means pure and white. It's sort of fresh laundry scent, which stays very close to your skin. Minimalistic and delicate. Lovely for summer. Thumbs up!

cicinka

Amazing "fresh-washed-clothes" parfum. A adore it!!!! Similar to Nivea smell, so simply what I was looking for:)

vertigo

Great!

A truly white scent.

I think I smelled magnolia or/and some water flowers on a musky base. Also maybe some light woods in the drydown ...
White flowers, definitely, but not at all sweet or cloying.
Absolutely transparent, sheer, discreet, delicately floral skinscent.
Perfect for spring and summer.
My new favourite from Masaki Matsushima!
Only drawback: rather poor staying power - about 3 hours.
