Trying it out , after reading the comments and ratings I will update my thoughts :)
I usually don't really care about the bottle but this one I really don't like .
I'm afraid it will last Like a body spray .
So I will be wearing this today and will let you all know :-)

The best vanilla spring/summer scent imo!! When you first spray it it smells very alcohol-ish, but once it dries down it's such an amazing scent. I've probably gotten the most compliments with this perfume so far, once i was waiting at the dentist and the girl at the desk was asking me what i was wearing :,) Vanilla perfumes usually remind me a lot of cold/cozy weather, but this one is amazing for warmer weather! The longevity on this perfume is also amazing!!

I just came back from the circus with an unopened bag of pink cotton candy. The second I opened it the scent filled my nose and I was baffled why is my AG mod vanilla perfume in here?!? lol

I sprayed this and was NOT a fan at first--the plum note was too much for me. Then it dried down and I fell in love, and now I'm still a fan even after it has just been sprayed :) I don't really see the similarity to Cloud--this perfume is much sweeter and vanilla is heavenly. So glad I picked it up :)

This is a super cute sugary warm vanilla. It's not too complex, reminiscent of the No. 40 Sol De Janeiro body mist ever so slightly. It's definitely cute and sweet, and perfect for those looking for a simple, ordinary vanilla. I will admit it isn't ground breaking, and the sweetness overpowers the plum note, but it has great longevity and it's just a cute, sweet scent.

As someone who owns all the AG fragrances (except Frankie, not my vibe unfortunately) this is hands down the BEST one. Yes, even better than Cloud and Cloud intense! Literally smells like vanilla cotton candy. It's gorgeous, it's chill, it's mellow, it's light but it's gorgeous. Cozy is an understatement. It's the perfect cozy snuggly bedtime scent. Also, stay tuned guys, she's dropping a new fragrance in a few months from now!

Ok I get the cloud reference for the first 10 seconds and then it disappears. Then it smells like the most delicious vanilla fragrance ever! This is so nice and delicious and mouth watering but not overly sweet. Like candy but in a sort of sophisticated way if smelling like candy had a sophisticated ally idk it’s so good glad I blind bought it!

really nice <3 best combined with a linear vanilla fragrance like Kayali 28, as I don't really enjoy how close it is to Cloud

my opinion on mod vanilla has changed. it's such an easy grab, i really enjoy it. the plum and musk lures me in and the comforting vanilla leaves me wanting more. i find myself spraying this one more than usual because it's not really in your face - it leaves a cozy, smooth scent bubble, which i adore. sometimes you just want to wear something more mellow, and that's what mod vanilla is to me.

I sort of liked this one but I think the plums give it an alcoholic scent? My friends and family also think it smells like "beer stained floors" which is pretty nasty lol

might be my favorite ariana perfume, i don’t understand the og cloud comparison at all it doesn’t smell remotely similar to me and i’m not a big fan of og cloud but a fan of this! currently on the hunt for a body spray that layers well with it 🤍

I Smelled this at a target store. I had one of her fragrances from a subscription years ago and I actually liked it. I wasn’t expecting much but when I got home I could smell it on my wrist and it was delicious. So recently I ended up getting the travel size Mod Vanilla and The original Cloud. I really like both of them! I’m not really a fan of her but I do think she has some very decent perfumes for a pretty affordable price. I haven’t been buying any large bottles because I have so many right now and even if I never bought another fragrance I’d never run out. ( so if anyone is interested in some discounted, somewhat rare designer scents, message me!) It’s obviously not the most original ground breaking perfume or for the Fragrance snobs but it’s just very comforting to me. Maybe I like it so much because of the musk idk… but unfortunately I don’t get much plum at all. It may be a bit overpriced but I’m not buying any big bottles anyway.i had to add, I was going to say it doesn’t smell like Cheriosa 40 at all, but I just smelled it on me after a few minutes and I totally get it. The thing is in me, the cheriosa is too plummy so I mixed it with the 62 lol. But the Mod Vanilla I really like.

Smells like the perfume version of Bare Vanilla which I love. A bit ordinary but we all have days where we don’t particularly feel like standing out! I dislike a lot of vanilla perfumes (e.g. Burberry Goddess, MFK’s GFG, Montale Intense Cafe) but I quite like this one! Would be a love but there are just too many others perfumes that I prefer over this. It’s really close, though!

It seems that Cloud cannot and will not be equaled by any other fragrance from Ariana Grande. Mod Vanilla is nothing but another very soft perfume, vanilla like vanilla sugar or vanilla marshmallows. With a little musk. without pralines, plums and others listed. It tends towards a Signature Montblanc but it's not even close.
The price is not justified at all. I smelled 1000 perfumes more perfumes than this one...

I remembered smelling this a few months ago and it reminded me of Sabrina Carpenter's Sweet Tooth, so I bought it. Now all I can smell is musk. It dries to a synthetic vanilla, similar to Victoria Secret's Bare Vanilla. Very simple and not too bad, but also not particularly great.

so cute!! <3 reminds me of marshmallows but unfortunately a little bit of soap. when freshly sprayed it smells super cute and girly. once i let it dry down i guess i could see where people could be coming from when they say it's more serious? something i would wear to an interview or a small date. + musk is very noticeable when dried down

This is a dead ringer of Cheirosa 40. It’s creamy plummy and sweet vanillic. It’s a little more powdery or play doh than 40 but they’re indiscernible to me and I’ve been wearing 40 a lot lately. I can’t attest to which one will last longer because i havent worn Mod enough but they seem about the same at first spray. On me, cheirosa 40 lasts a really long time on clothes almost as long as 68 does, it wears into the next day on clothes. I will keep and layer them both because i love the scent but unless it somehow performs magically better which i don’t honestly think it will , you don’t need both.

Fluffy and sweet with vanilla, plum and some buttery orris root in the background. It’s very pretty and wearable. Reminds me quite a bit of SDJ 40, only this has a much more fluffier & airier quality to it on my skin.

I thought this was a woody vanilla and then I realized it was potent in the pear note and now she's changed for me. I have a huge vanilla collection and she sits in the back but honestly, she's a really good solid vanilla perfume and I recommend her.

Cloud is vanilla plastic, God is a Woman is vanilla candle, and Mod Vanilla is vanilla cardboard box; all very distinctly different fragrance experiences people try too much to equate.

This is all the flat vanillic notes extracted from GIAW and put in a bottle. I really actually quite liked this until finally trying GIAW. While incredibly similar, its just more complex/better than this in every single way. Do not buy this without trying GIAW first!

anyone who says this smells anything like cloud is on glue.

I really like this one, I finally purchased a bottle used (I just don't think this is worth full retail for reasons I will state below). I find this one a very sweet vanilla/plum/musk fragrance on me. I do get the orris a bit in this as a slight powderiness in the dry down. It's a very comforting fragrance and quite soft. It has a quality like a light dusting of powdered sugar, soft, light and sweet. This is not gourmand. It does have a slight synthetic quality, but it doesn't bother me here. This is not gourmand.

My main beef with it is that the projection is quite low and it's a weak fragrance. I spray this one much more lavishly than most fragrances in my collection, around 6-10 full sprays, and it still doesn't project as much as you would think for that number of sprays. Still, I like this a lot and will wear it a lot. I just wish the performance was better.

At first spray, I smell very much nail-salon/acryllic smell. It doesn't bother me honestly, because personally I like that smell. After it lays for a while, it is a nice sweet scent. I don't retain much vanilla from it truthfully, however it is a unique smell that has a nice powdery touch that I only occasionally smell. I fell like evrytime I spray it I get hints of different notes each time. Big love to this one!

Such a classy vanilla scent, It's great for layering. Can never go wrong with an Ariana perfume.

This is such a light, fluffy, easy-to wear perfume! Great for when you need to be a bit more professional, or when you want to keep things understated. This definitely doesn't come off as gourmand to me; it's a very clean, cool vanilla with some powdery floral musk in the background. It has a bit of that synthetic feel that is shared by most of Ari's scents, but I don't mind; it's the best AG fragrance in my opinion.

I purchased my bottle about a year ago and it's had time to macerate a bit; the juice is now a shade of yellow and smells so much creamier than when I first purchased it. It's definitely one of those fragrances that gets better with time.

My only complaint is the bottle... it's terrible. Holding it the right way is awkward, especially once it gets to the halfway-empty point. The lid also shifts around; it stopped latching into place shortly after I bought it for no apparent reason. As such, it's turned into a total eyesore on my shelf. Nonetheless, the actual perfume smells nice enough for me to ignore these issues.

I really love this scent. But it doesn’t last on me and that’s very sad because it never happens to me. But I wear this anyway, just because I love the smell even if only I can smell it.

The opening is sugar and vanilla, very much as it says on the tin. I don't get musk or plums until it has started to dry down. After about 15 minutes a rich/savory note creeps in, like butter or perhaps dark caramel, presumably the praline. After an hour or so, it mostly smells powdery and vanillic. At no point do I get the cocoa butter.

Overall this is a very sweet, pleasant gourmand, not profound or complex but an easy, comforting thing to reach for. I don't think it's going to be a go-to, but it's nice.

i keep falling more and more in love with this scent in the months i've had it!! it is so cozy, easy, and pretty. it makes me feel calm and safe. it is not a complex scent and is very linear. the powdery, lightly floral notes mellow out the sweetness in a really soothing way and keep it from being cloying. lasting power is surprisingly good. i do think this is a favorite among men - anytime i wear it my boyfriend buries his face in my neck and tells me i smell like cookies!! i don't really get the bakery/edible vibe that others are mentioning though due to the powder and coolness.

This is a sour, fruity vanilla scent. To me this smells as if someone Tried to make a vanilla forward girly version of erba pura, but failed and arianas team pickled it up and mass marketed it.
Very juvenile and girly tho. Its not thay expensive, and although i dont mind that at all, with this you Can tell. I am a strong believer that this is only hyped up because it is from ariana Grande. If this scent was from la rive, nobody would buy it.
Its hard to believe that people actually compliment this scent on others. It does resemble the body mist from sdj though, so if you like that, you Will probably enjoy this. A more summer type of vanilla though.

Now this is the best AG perfume. It surpasses cloud in my opinion. If you like vanilla, you need to smell this. Not a “new”vanilla but it’s addicting and an easy reach. Repurchase worthy!!!!

The opening smelled of cardboard on my skin with the first spray. As I wanted to like this I tried again the next day on clean skin hoping to smell a gourmand fantasy. Just soap.. which I’ll contribute to the white floral. My husband enjoys this scent, but I don’t prefer perfumes that smell like laundry detergent.

this perfume has a really big sillage, which i love, because i didn't come across a lot of perfumes that i can smell from myself even a long time after applying - the scent reminds me of cookies and marshmallows, but it also smells very heavy and intense, not airy like i thought it would be. whenever i spray this on clothes, i can still smell it at the end of the day. the smell is really pretty, but i don't think i would wear it in summer.

I LOVE God is a Woman. Since I blind bought it I’ve been dying to smell all her other fragrances. I stopped by Ulta today and was so confused when I smelled Mod Vanilla… it smells almost exactly like God is a Woman? I respelled it multiple times. I have never smelled 2 more similar scents in a fragrance line. That being said, if you like God is a Woman, you’ll like this lol

A lot of people are saying this smells like Cloud, and while it does share the praline note, mod vanilla is its own entity entirely. It’s for the gourmand lovers. It doesn’t have that sharp BR540 dna at all.

Guys I finally found something similar to Kayali’s silk santal that I desperately need a back up of, but it’s been out of stock for ages!

So I was contemplating on gate keeping but I thought I won’t be selfish lol😂

This smells 90% similar. It has the same inital blast, and has an airy, sweet, confectionary vanilla just like silk santal! The only difference is that it is slightly less sweet, and less complex. But for the price, it’s honestly amazing!!! It’s my favourite from all of Ariana’s line, and it lasts a decent amount of time on my skin. 🍦🍬

Would definitely recommend if you want something similar to silk santal, and also if you love sweet, airy vanilla fragrances you would love this

I only have one negative to say: the bottle is so ugly that I hide it in the back of my perfume collection lol, but I still love it. Usually Ariana’s bottles are so cute, but not this one. Atleast not to me

One of my all-time favourites. I haven't gotten tired of it at all, even though I've owned it ever since it came out. It smells like a bakery except it has a fresh, slightly citrussy summer twist. It's not the same, but has a similar vibe as Carolina Herrera good girl blush. Maybe a crowd pleaser and compliment net, but really pleasant to wear and long-lasting, without being overbearing. Love love love

This to me feels like a much improved version of cloud. It´s sweet, the plum is very noticeable in the opnening, but contrasting to cloud this does not feel like a bbw body mist.

I like the original cloud, even so I can sometimes find it far too synthetic and childish for my mood on a given day. This however feels a bit more refined, still synthetic but closer to what regular good quality perfum smells like. This is also more airy, perfect for hotter days.

The vanilla here is different from the rest of my collection, which can either be cake-like or aromatic, this one is more candy-like vanilla, a bit more crisp.

Overall a very easy-to-like scent and I find it'd make the perfect gift for any person who likes vanilla.

Oh OK Mod Vanilla.........You have to sit and get rid of that baby powder smell!

Last year when I reviewed this scent I wrote only 2 sentences and said it was like Cloud with Baby Powder in it. It was just such an odd vanilla for me and the baby powder felt so overpowering. So recently I got that Viva Vanilla body mist from BBW and I knew that scent..........It was Mod Vanilla.........So I dug around to my perfume stash and I still had Mod Vanilla in the very back and brought her out. Ok now the baby powder is gone and the rather odd, but yummy vanilla is there.

So I just don't know how to describe this type of Vanilla. It is airy, fluffy, musky and sweet. Not like a foody vanilla or very gourmand. This type of musky, airy vanilla has an addicting quality once you start to get past the initial powdery smells. I do not get plum or praline like listed, but just an airy, odd but in a good way, musky, sweet but not gourmand Vanilla.

Not a safe blind buy if you like gourmands, but once you smell Mod Vanilla you will use it as a descriptor for Vanillas like it.

I really don’t think this smells like cloud honestly. I’ve been wearing cloud everyday for weeks, this has been on my smell list and I bought it yesterday, definitely more vanilla/cocoa buttery than cloud. Cloud is more citrusy/creamy, and unlike cloud there isn’t any baccarat dna to this. I didn’t really like SDJ 40, but I do smell similarities from the plum note except this doesn’t have the cough syrupy linger that 40 has. This is more warm gourmand than cloud and if you don’t like cloud I think youd prefer this more

Cloud flanker - cloud with sweet sugary vanilla (not deep not complex) and very strong reminiscence of Cheirosa 40. The plum is not as strong in this but still prominent to my nose. I sold away my Cheirosa 40 because of how plum-my it is. This is very sweet and has the same cloud DNA - whipped cream sweet frosting and very creamy. I like this one but agree with other reviewers, if you have cloud, you don't need this.

It’s great for layering, by itself it’s pretty. It’s a sweet vanilla kinda forgettable but everyone seems to like it so it works well for everyday errands 🤷♀️ I don’t the plum in this at all though 🤔 it’s like a vanilla frosting maybe some whipped cream.

i love love love this one! might be my favorite from her. i usually don’t go for vanilla scents as some of them smell real bad for me, but this one is so pretty! i’ve been using it everyday and i truly love it! the only thing i would ask ari is for a stronger version or a body kit cause unfortunately it doesn’t last on me :( however i would repurchase. it’s definitely a mix between GIAW and cloud, but in a good, softer and more delicate way.

Dry down on my skin smells exactly like Qasamat Ebhar by Rasasi even though it's not a dupe of Mod Vanilla but both fragrances smells so alike ( not on the opening!! ) ! I enjoy both fragrances but I personally prefer the bottle and PRICE of Rasasi's.

I find Mod vanilla so cozy. It's intimate and fluffy with low to moderate sillage and I love it!!

I love this fragrance! It’s such a perfect balance between vanilla musky and woody. It’s just such a shame that it doesn’t last long at all! I always have to spray so much and it just never lasts. Although when I spray on clothes and take them off and grab the same jumper i can smell it , but it just doesn’t have any silage or projection which is so sad! But I still feel like it’s worth having for quickly putting something on to go out but definitely not something you would wear for a night out or event ect just because of the lasting power. The orris note it quite noticeable, so if you aren’t a fan of orris I would try and sample this fragrance before buying if possible.

It's just like Cloud but vanilla, and I really like this more. It's sweeter, lasts the same, and is great for any occasion. Love this for bedtime. If I run out of Cloud I probably won't rebuy it and will just keep this one stocked instead. You really don't need both at the same time.

As a massive vanilla fan, this is easily one of my go-to fragrances. It's light, sweet, creamy, and is suitable for pretty much any occasion/season. I love how it opens up as a true rich vanilla and doesn't surprise you with any overwhelming florals/fruitiness like a lot of 'vanilla' perfumes. This is honestly one of my favourite perfumes and it gets me heaps of compliments no matter where or when I wear it. The only thing is it's a bit overpriced ($80 AUD - $55 USD for only 30ml) for what I would consider a more basic perfume (I'm assuming because it's Ariana Grande), so I probably wouldn't buy this again unless it's on sale.

This really is just Cloud with vanilla. I like this better than Cloud, but I'm a little disappointed it's so similar to another AG fragrance. This should be a Cloud flanker imo.

I like it, but I'll wait till it can be found for cheap on the grey market like most other AG fragrances. I don't think this is worth full retail.

So pretty, a literal Vanille cloud. I go hard on this in the wintertime, it's so cozy! Really nice layered with Juicy Sucre as well. I will always have this in my collection, it's that good

Its Cloud without the musk mixed with the same sweetness that hits you like Ari. Not for me as I do like the musk, it gives another dimension to it whereas this one seems a little more simple and potent in that one scent profile. The sweetness is cloying to me but if you like that in Ari you'll like this. Just not for me.

It’s beautiful, reminds me of a softer, more “girly” Vanilla 28. I couldn’t stop sniffing my wrist after I tried it. It’s like if vanilla could give you a comforting hug on a spring day.

it smells exactly like MFK 540. I don't know what the first notes of MFK smell like (bc I got a clothing haul that has sprayed MFK), but 4 days later (the day I received the haul), it smells exactly like MOD VANILLA. So if you want an MFK 540 dupe, consider MOD VANILLA, just so you know, it smells EXACTLY THE SAME.

such a gorgeous clean vanilla. definitely is reminiscent of cloud, i don’t consider myself a big fan of cloud but I am absolutely in love with this scent. it smells like a scoop of vanilla ice cream, with other notes that make it feel more sophisticated. this is such an easy reach and completes any outfit for me. it also layers SO well with sol de janeiro 40. definitely give this scent a try!! 🫧🍨🤍

just a simple vanilla scent. lovely, though. doesn't last incredibly long but it's also not that expensive for quite a good amount of product. not that "special", but I don't mind. a very solid scent.

Gorgeous, simple vanilla. Sweet, musky, inviting. It smells like if Glossier You had a vanilla base — it smells like a “girlfriend vanilla.” I love this one as a basic dumb reach vanilla way more than Kayali 28, which I found too boozy for my liking.

This is a warm clean-girl vanilla. For a cool clean-girl vanilla, try Diptyque Eau Duelle — both the EDT and the EDP are great. I’ve layered Mod Vanilla with both of them with great success. I also layered it with Mancera Roses Vanille and I felt absolutely delectable.

This also stands on its own. Does not need to be layered. And it does not smell like Cloud to my nose, it truly smells like a vanilla version of Glossier You. This is a wonderful, simple, clean, dumb reach vanilla. Personally, I love the bottle — it’s unique and sets a great mood imho. A little clunky, but not enough to detract from the experience. I am so picky about vanillas and dislike 90% of them — this is the perfect balance of sweet, musky, warm, and clean. I can’t get over it!

smelled this in a tester days ago and could not stop thinking about it. sweet, creamy vanilla with a veerrry subtle floral undertone.

i don’t personally own cloud, but i have a few friends who swear by it so i’m pretty familiar with its profile. personally, it’s not for me and unfortunately mod gives me the same vibes. like cloud, it opens up very plastic-like, which others describe as that “dentist’s office” scent. that itself is such a turnoff to me! i wish i could look past it, but the plastic scent lingers and takes command. yes, the vanilla, praline and cacao are still there, but not at the forefront like it was in the tester which makes me so sad.

EDIT (month later): LET THIS SITTTT, trust me! plasticy note died down tenfold. i'm obsessed!

I love the scent but yes it's very similar to cloud however the performance is worse on this one. Skin scent, for the price and performance? I would AVOID.

I love this scent, but it's so light. It is immediately a skin scent on me. I am going to let it sit for a month or so and see if it develops. I hope it does because, while somewhat basic, it is a lovely vanilla that will layer with other scents well. That's the main reason I purchased it. I had sampled it on an Ulta insert and just loved how it smelled, but ignorantly didn't think, "Hey, I should maybe truck on into Ulta and get a test spritz to check out longevity." It is just like an elevated Warm Vanilla Sugar, imo. Really good, just too fleeting on me. Hope it develops with a bit of time.

Here’s an iffy take: To my nose, this smells like a lighter BS Midnight Fantasy. I am thinking it’s the plum note, because they both have that synthetic blueberry thing happening. That’s how my untrained nose interprets it anyway. They are 85% similar imo.

Edited: I am on team Bottle Haters. This thing looks like a Febreeze or some such oil home scent contraption. Spraying is, indeed, awkward as others have mentioned. Idgi.

This is so STUNNING and ADDICTIVE. I bought Cloud (I also love it!😍) but kept smelling the tester with Mod Vanilla, it’s so captivating, so I returned and bought Mod Vanilla as well!😍✨ It smells so incredible, delicious, addictive, literally breathtaking…omg! When you get that whiffs of it…no words. And I can also layer them both together but they still smell different. This is such a GEM!!!😍✨✨✨

I am on my 2nd bottle of this perfume because I LOVE it! It smells just like VANILLA which is one of my favorite scents in perfume. Most of Ariana Grande perfumes have a strong Musky scent but not this one. This is more of a powdery/Sweet/Vanilla scent that can be worn in the day or night time. I highly recommend if you love Sweet perfumes. :)

Unfortunately, the plum note in this fragrance is really strong and suffocates the vanilla with a vengeance. This should have been marketed as a fruity gourmand I feel. If you are looking for a pure vanilla scent, skip on this one. The reason I dislike this scent so much is because it reminds me of Midnight Fantasy by Britney Spears, and I loathed that fragrance as a young girl. For fans of Midnight Fantasy I think this would be perfect!

Beautiful. Super edible and sophisticated. Vanilla dream with caramel drizzled on top. I dont own it so can really tell the longevity of this.
I usually go for niche perfumes for the unique scents, quality and performance but i was looking for something less offensive, cheaper price point for everyday in the summer. Definitely getting this! Its sooo yummy but not too much, coming from somebody who’s into woody, smokey, unisex fragrances- i love this one for more casual occasions.

Not bad, but not a fav. Starts off as a sweet, very basic vanilla reminiscent of many vanilla body sprays. Once it’s dry, it develops a light fruity scent, but it’s just a bit too screechy for me. Has a nice personal sillage and lasts over 6 hours. Looking at the “similar perfumes” and I’m so confused because this apparently smells like every single perfume that has any sort of vanilla in it. In my opinion—
❌ Clean Reserve Radiant Nectar: a deep, fruity scent with no vanilla
❌ Ariana’s God Is a Woman: deep, fruity scent and I don’t notice any vanilla
❌ Ariana’s Cloud/Cloud Intense: much more floral
❌ Ariana’s Moonlight: pulls really floral on me
❌ The 7 Virtues Vanilla Woods: more pear heavy than vanilla heavy
❌ SDJ ‘59: much fresher but also incredibly faint
❌ SDJ ‘40: more fresh and woody
❌ Eau d’Italie Morn to Dusk: much more powdery and not as fruity
❌ Kayali Wedding Silk Santal: a super creamy vanilla, much less fruity
❌ Snif Vanilla Vice: much smokier

Airy vanilla dream. This is such a pretty airy light vanilla scent that lasts ALL day especially on clothes. I see the comparison to Sol De Janeiro Cheirosa 40, however that one is much more fruity and not as sweet--40 also contains a note that feels sour/dirty that I don't love. Mod Vanilla is sweeter, creamier, and just all around a perfect sweet perfume. It's not super warm like Eilish by Billie Eilish--that would smells too heavy and incense-y at times. This one is just really flirty and perfect for everyday if you wanna feel pretty!

I don't really get the comparision to cloud since this is a different scent to me. It's light feminine (not unisex at all). It's fluffy, cotton candy sweet, musky, powdery and seducing. Heavy on the vanilla and praline. Might be too much of a crowdpleaser for my taste. Such a beautiful scent, but it's a turn off for me when 98% of the female population wears this. I would grab it for everyday wear, but this is not a special occasion scent if you want to stand out.

They’re also really amazing mixed together *sigh* sooo dreamy ✨ I feel like it’s a DUPE for YSL Le Parfum the vanilla scents are nearly identical (I own both but YSL lasts slightly longer). It’s so delicious, well blended and creamy but please be FOREWARNED that the longevity is not great but that’s probably why I ran through the bottle so quickly. The sprayer is a little bit of a challenge but I’m at the point where I’ve figured it out and it doesn’t bother me. I love it so much please give the tester a try at Ulta 💕 I will definitely repurchase 🙌

I had seen a mixed reviews about this, but went a head and blindbought it anyways..and I'm not sorry! Lovely scent from the beginning to the end. I like this more than cloud! This is a Love!! But the bottle is weard and akward to hold and spray.

It's okay. The drydown is reminiscent of Cloud, but with a bit of extra sweetness from all that vanilla. It also has a lactonic vibe that smells a bit "off" sometimes. One thing I will say is that this scent is not linear. It changes quite a bit from first spray to drydown. But throughout I can definitely detect the musk, praline and vanilla. I'm surprised there's no coconut in this though, because I really do get that vibe. Not in a tropical way, more of a creamy milky coconut. I don't detect the plum and freesia at all. Overall, this is kind of a rubbery sweet vanilla that has a bit of a chemical smell to it. Just imagine a softer, muskier version of cloud with a more creamy and lactonic feel. It's not for me but it's not bad.

It's taken me awhile to collect my thoughts on this scent, I've owned it for the last few months and I'm finally ready to review. Overall, I like this scent, it's very warm and sweet, quite cozy. I think the plum is doing this but it has a jammy smell to it, it's quite strong in the opening which I'm not a fan of but the dry down is enjoyable. I don't think it's as good as everyone says, but it is very nice, I wouldn't pay that price for it again though as I think I could probably find something cheaper that is just as good if not better. It has a caramelized, sort of burnt note in there, not a bad thing, it's like roasted marshmallows or something, not sure. Also I think the bottle by itself is quite ugly, but with the other one it's cute, if you care about this I'd keep that in mind.

A great light, warm, creamy vanilla for layering. I purchased this vanilla perfume specifically because I wanted one I could wear year-round without being too cloying in warm weather. The cacao butter blends deliciously with the vanilla and makes it a cozy bedtime scent. I wouldn't say it's very unique but that makes it perfect to build up or down with other perfumes. It's not very strong so I usually overspray and the projection is very intimate.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!! I got so many compliments when I started wearing it. I have maybe a billion vanilla scents but this one is the most direct if that makes sense — but not in a bad way. Like if you smell it you know it’s vanilla, unlike some other perfumes where you smell it and you just smell powdery notes and artificial sweetness. I love this perfume, it’s become one of my favs to layer!

I wasn't home when my bottle arrived in the mail, so it was my boyfriend who was able to sniff the perfume first. When I asked him over the phone what it smelled like, his words were, "It smells just like you." I asked if he was referring to a perfume I already owned, but his exact response was, "No, not really a perfume. It's like you when you're about to go to bed. Kind of like your natural scent." So I was very surprised when I first sprayed this. People were saying it smelled a lot like Cloud, and I have to agree except that this is much more airy, fluffy, clean, musky, and... gentle? It's not an "in-your-face" gourmand vanilla; this one is more intimate, but it does linger in the air once you spray it. Performance wise I think it performs roughly the same as Cloud, or maybe I bit more lighter depending on your body chemistry.

I am assuming my boyfriend thinks it smells like me because it is a bit reminiscent of other vanilla scents I previously owned: Victoria Secret Bare Vanilla, Sol de Janeiro, and Kayali Vanilla 28. But I do understand when he says it smells like a "natural" scent because it does have a bit of musk in it (I feel flattered; at least I can now grasp what I smell like to him, lol)

Personally, I prefer Mod Vanilla over Cloud because I think it is such a clean, powdery, and pretty scent. It's not headache-inducing like Cloud (I often times get headaches with Cloud when the weather is hotter because I live in a tropical country). Perfect for all types of weather and for day-to-night use! However keep in mind this is a very simple powdery vanilla scent, so if you're looking for something deeper or complex I don't think this is the perfume for you.

I actually like this scent. It's a light, pretty vanilla. It smells similar to God Is a Woman-think GIAW-pear++vanilla. I thought it had sandalwood in it at first and I'm glad it doesn't because I'm really over vanilla+sandalwood scents. It used to be vanilla+musk and now it's vanilla woods. I'm still looking for my perfect straight sweet vanilla scent and man is it getting hard. It seems impossible to just find a vanilla+sugar scent! I got Montale Vanilla Cake and that has a really weird dry down scent, like unsweetened cocoa powder and dirt. But Mod Vanilla is a lovely, lightly fruited vanilla.

Smelled a tester. For it to be named Mod Vanilla I'm only a getting a tiny hint of vanilla, it's also not sweet enough for me. It's more of a fresh, even airy floral scent, not creamy though. It still smells pleasant, just don't understand why call it Mod Vanilla and then have the vanilla get completely overpowered by florals.

Got this in a sampler box set of all of Ari's perfumes and this one was my favorite. Had to get a full size. It's so so cozy and delicious smelling. Smells like a rich decadent body butter. Perfect for winter time, and is not too overwhelming or strong. Lasts about 6 hours on me. Great perfume especially for a 3.4oz perfume under $100.

Saw this everywhere on social media and as I’m very easy to influence, I got the mini version for a couple of bucks off of Vinted since I didn’t want to rush into buying the full bottle as I strongly dislike vanilla scents yet this is absolutely lovely! Sweet perfumes often give me headaches or nausea, however this one is very gentle, yummy and cozy. Saw someone say that it’s a scent boyfriends go crazy for and I couldn’t agree more. It does smell quite the same as the Billie Eillish perfume though, so if you want a prettier bottle, I’d say go for that one instead lol

the saleswoman who chose this for me described it as cloud's older sister and she was soooo right. i loved cloud but after trying this one i can't go back. mod vanilla doesn't have the chemical note that makes cloud a bit jarring at times, instead theres a slight hint of musk after it dries down. its more of a marshmallow airy sweet and not as cloying. sometimes i spray it on my pajamas with sol de janeiro 71 on my blankets and its like dreaming of fresh waffles :) also agree with others saying to let it sit for a bit before using it

This is soooo cozy and delightful. I will literally wear it to bed to calm me I cannot stop smelling it. Not very heavy lasting power but apart from that it’s delicious. I’ve always been a fan of cloud but recently have found myself not enjoying the plastic/sharp opening. Well mod vanilla is like all the best bits of cloud, the dry down of cloud perhaps. Beautiful, pretty, feminine scent.

This is the only perfume I have from Ariana Grande and it’s my favorite one ever. ❤️ I have smelled her other ones but they gave me a headache. Ariana Grande Mod Vanilla is a perfect combination because it’s sweet but a little sour. I smell mostly vanilla and plum. Not nauseating and just perfect. I love that it’s so powdery too. I had to get a second bottle because it’s sold out everywhere 😍

I recently got this and was really disappointed, it doesn't smell like the warm, creamy vanilla I was hoping for. Instead it smells very screechy and gives me a headache almost instantly. I'm gonna let it sit for a few weeks like some people suggest on here. Hopefully that makes a difference

I got this scent for Christmas and was originally a little disappointed. The opening was sharp and the notes didn't blend well together. It's been about a month and the scent has transformed into a beautiful, warm, vanilla scent. It feels very cozy, reminiscent of getting into bed after a cold day and shuffling around under the covers to get warm.

TRUST ME and when I say it I mean it - let your new bottle sit for a few months after spraying it a few times. This scent is just so beautiful and has now become my favourite everyday scent. I was so disappointed initially when I bought this but I'm so glad I waited for it to mature. It is now sweeter and bolder.

This opens with a burst of sweetness and settles down to the most mouth-watering comfort mature vanilla. And someone below said the vanilla is like a warm gourmand vanilla and I so agree. it has some cloud DNA but no - mod vanilla is sweeter but also dense at the same time, she's juvenile but also mature. Cloud leans more musky and mod vanilla leans more well - vanilla but with a touch of musk.

The vanilla in this is just so so beautiful and may be just in line to knock over my Kayali vanilla 28. Kayali is more woodsy and spicier but in terms of vanilla, both are very very good gourmand-rich vanillas. Actually, i like mod vanilla better since its sillage and longevity is better than Kayali. Lasts on my clothes forever and when I go outside, a good amount of sprays are enough to last me 6+ hours.

Not sure why but it's the first time a scent has smelled so different from the tester. Smelled more sweet and vanilla however when u wore it, it made me feel stuffy and sick? It's quite unusual as the scent wasn't too strong, it just made me feel stuffy.
Could anyone recommend something that smells like Sweet Like Candy instead?

This one is weird. It smells like a dentist waiting room. Diluted dentist would be the best description for it. Even my mum asked if I had been to the dentist when she hugged me. And it doesn't smell less like that as it dries down, it stays like that. I don't know when I'll ever be in a situation where that's the vibe I'm going for so this one will be a forever shelf dweller. Bummer.

love, love, love this!!! it's one of my absolute favourites - it's long lasting, the sillage is pretty incredible + it smells like cheirosa 40 which makes it perfect for layering with the bom dia body cream & the mist. got so many compliments on this, and considering the price, i'm just obsessed. a must-have if you like the sol de janeiro scent as it lasts so much longer than the mist.

Like walking into an ice cream shoppe. Freshly-made-waffle-cone, french vanilla ice cream goodness. It’s not a particularly multidimensional vanilla, but to me that’s a good thing: it lends itself to be a great base for other gourmand scents, and works just fine as a simple, tried-and-true vanilla on its own. Sits pretty close to the skin, but lingers on clothes.

I don’t particularly like a lot of the Ariana Grande scents because they’ve always felt a bit B&BW to me, the cloud scents especially. There’s just something about Mod Vanilla that lured me in forever ago and has kept me hooked since. I think it’s great as a base scent: I like to pair it with Sol De Janeiro ‘62 or ‘40, as well as Outremer Vanille, which is another bakery-style, powdery vanilla. I like how well it lends itself to other scents, and I definitely recommend if you’re looking for a good base vanilla to make your signature scent.

I absolutely love it! I got this for my birthday after it being on my wish list for ages. It's kind of like a lighter, more airy version of Victoria's Secret Bare Vanilla. I love the packaging (so cute)! I walked past my mum and she was wondering what smelt so good. She said it smelt like cookies 🤤. The sillage is not as good as I expected and neither is the longevity, but it is overall a really good price! I suggest buying the 100ml version from Superdrug. I don't know if it's just the UK but its £10 cheaper!! I suggest to make it smell super duper good to place the Bare Vanilla body cream and some cocoa butter vaseline on your wrists and neck then spray the Mod Vanilla on top along with the Bare Vanilla body spray. You will genuinely smell like a vanilla heaven 😍. I love this perfume and have no regrets. Definitely repurchasing!!

Smells like 40. It’s soft, fruity and soooo sweet. The vanilla isn’t warm so this could be worn all year round. Smells like fresh vanilla ice cream w plum, One of the safest blind buys, definitely juvenile but idc.

After a year of owning this perfume, I'm leaving a second review.

Initially what made me buy it was the fact I couldn't get this cold, mesmerizing, yet comforting smell out of my mind after using a tester at Douglas. It stayed on my skin for hours on end and I just wanted to make it mine so bad. It was love at first sniff 😻.

To me, this perfume is very complex. It always makes me want to come back for more. I keep smelling it and smelling it so I can figure it out. I've received comments from people that it almost smells somewhat bitter and I agree. There's a part to it that I can only describe as "bitter". But not in a negative way. Personally, I feel it ads a sharpness, coldness to it, making it perfect for winter nights. I think partly the oris root, the praline, the musk and the freesia are giving it that touch.

At the same time, the vanilla gives a warmth to it. Makes it more comforting. The vanilla with the cocoa butter and the praline are making it somewhat a gourmand perfume. It's definitely sweet. Giving it a softer side.

I genuinely can't speak of the notes separately. Cause even though I can see what each one contributes to the perfume, they make a perfect blend that ads so many layers to it. They just compliment each other so well. I love the complexity of it. I'm not sure if other people feel this way but I can definitely smell each note and see how well they blend with each other.

In my opinion this perfume is strong, not to be worn casually (you do you). I feel like some people could find it cloying. Night outs are perfect for me. The projection is definitely there. It also lasts at least 5 hours strong I would say. Really, it lasts all day, at the end of the day I can still smell it. The smell also stays on my clothes for days.

This is very similar to Cloud and Cloud Intense as well as Cheirosa 40 but thankfully it's much more long lasting than those ones.
I layer Baccarat with VS Bare Vanilla and I get something similar to this.

I love it I just do not get vanilla at all... I get more of a fruit flavored marshmallow. Also, I wish the sillage was better. However, considering its price, I can't complain.

I’ve been on the look for a vanilla fragrance and this was lovely. It lasts on me for hours and hours. AG perfumes perform very well on me without having to spray more than 3x. I already have cloud but cloud is more a smoky scent. Reminds me of a smoky roasted marshmallow. This one, mod vanilla, does remind me of cloud but it’s got more of a fresh “spark”. I do get the vanilla, a sweet vanilla that is it’s so cozy and nice. I get vanilla and cashmere. I had to have the 3.4 oz as it’s something I’ll wear a lot this winter. No smokiness or else I wouldn’t have gotten it.

I loveeee the smell of this perfume! It kind of smells like a sweet iced vanilla earl grey tea to me! I think the addition of the plum is what makes it so addicting. It is sweet but in a creamy way, and smells almost cool or cold. Definitely reminds me of the cloud perfume but I like this one better.

I agree that this smells very similar to a mix of Cloud and God is A Woman. But this also just has that foundation but with this really lovely vanilla buttercream, praline, and almost cashmere like scent to it as well. It reminds me of both of those perfumes mixed together and also mixed with Snowflakes and Cashmere from bath & body works. Very much the foundation of Cloud smell with this nice vanilla kick to it. This is my favorite Ariana scent out of her whole line. This is what I wished Cloud could've been because it leaned too cologne/chemical smelly on me. I do not get any fruity plum vibes from this it's all vanilla. I really do hate the packaging though. It could've been anything else than this weird white egg shape. And I'm not even too picky about packaging but it's like really? An egg? Lasts pretty well, overall my fav from her line!

Firstly, I really must insist that people buying this try letting their bottles rest for at least a week before expecting it to smell just like the tester did, a lot of perfumes need time to develop before smelling their best, and I suspect (acknowledging that people’s noses are different and some can pick up scents that others can’t, like stronger synthetic notes) that the very artificial and alcohol like scent some people pick up is because their bottle is so new.

Now, I semi collect her perfumes, so you can keep that in mind if you want. But I really love this one, and would even if I wasn’t a fan of hers. (My favorite frags of hers for reference are REM, GIAW, and Cloud). It’s such a delicious, fluffy, vanilla forward smell. The plum gives it an addictive tang that I adore. People say it resembles Cloud, but I really get more of GIAW, mostly from the orris and fruit notes. That’s perfect for me because it means I could layer it with my GIAW body care products nicely (which I have yet to try but expect to work). The dry down is comforting, and while the vanilla does smell like pure vanilla to me, it’s not quite in a “vanilla buttercream” way, and if it is it only resembles the most vanilla of vanilla buttercreams. While it might not be the most unique or groundbreaking fragrance out there, I still really love it and even the silly alien egg design, so I’m very happy with it overall.

It smells like a mix of Cloud and Bare Vanilla la crème, but it smells like a cheaper version of the two, combined. It's a fresh vanilla. Sillage is very intimate. Very generic body spray vibes.

This is terrible... I'm shocked by the high rating. AG's team must be on it. Really there is no Vanilla so the nerve of them naming it mod Vanilla!!!!!! Smells like some cheap garbage in the discount bin at the dollar store. I only smell powder and alcohol. This was a blind buy for me and now AG has my $50 and I have weak cheap bottle of nothing.

As Cloud disappointed me I got the recommendation to try Mod Vanilla, but I don’t smell the vanilla at all. I’m fact, it smells quite similar to Cloud but has longer longevity, and again: no vanilla.

a sweeter more vanilla version of cloud. smells really delicious and is perfect if you’re a fan of creamy vanilla scents but looking for something light. It isn’t heavy, boozy or warm like other popular vanilla fragrances and i think could be worn in spring and summer without being too cloying. it’s simple but not every scent needs to be complex. very safe blind buy.

I tested this one in an Ulta and HAD to have it because it reminded me of the very first perfume I ever owned in the 00s (So...? Sinful). I have so much nostalgia for my first perfume but hadn't been able to find it anywhere. Lots of vanilla but also a hint of praline and chocolate. Absolutely love the smell of Mod Vanilla BUT it does not last very long at all. Even some body sprays last longer than this one.

Like a straight vanilla milkshake, lactonic, sweet, creamy and almost somehow smells cold. I love warm vanillas but this is the vanilla lovers perfect fragrance for summer or hotter days when warm vanilla might be too cloying. I love this fragrance and it is so inexpensive too

To me on my skin, I would say this definitely smells reminiscent of cloud or Baccarat rouge with a nice vanilla scent, the vanilla in it is quite gourmand. Smells edible. It still has something about it, almost an undertone that reminds me of cloud. It’s a nice everyday scent, delicious.

On me, it smells like that cloud/ baccarat Rouge type smell. It lasts awhile and it's strong. But I get no vanilla on me. I prefer mod blush. Bought the set and that one smells great but doesn't last long. I would wear mod vanilla in the spring and summer. Not winter.

The only ariana grande perfume in my collection. Most of her perfume to me smells cheap.. but this one is one of the best vanilla scents ive had. Such an easy fragrance to wear everyday

Really nice and simple vanilla! I wish the longevity was a little better but it's good overall. I've gotten many compliments on this. I would say it's more of a cool vanilla than warm; it gives off a "clean girl" vibe. It's not as cloying as other vanillas in my opinion but still don't overdo it. I like to layer this with Palmer's cocoa butter lotion and Sol De Janeiro's Cheirosa 40 to really amp up the gourmand.

This is my favorite scent from AG. It smells like vanilla marshmallow. To me, it doesn't smell anything like Cloud because I can't stand the smell of Cloud, there is something makes me nauseous in it but oh boy! I can smell Mod vanilla all day long. My husband loves it too.

At first, when I got this, I didn't smell a lot of vanilla. Now, after having it for half a year, it's developed to smell more like marshmallow vanilla. I really recommend Mod to vanilla lovers & anyone who likes feminine scents because it layers really well. I often layer this with unisex or loud perfumes to make them more feminine. I will definitely repurchase when I’m out. The only down side is the bottle is awkward to spray.

I love this scent! I actually have both Cloud and GIAW, and I think this smells like a combination of the two with a lot more vanilla and general sweetness. I mixed Cloud and GIAW on one hand, and then sprayed this one the other hand and in my opinion, this smells like the best parts of both of them. I would still recommend this anyone who has Cloud or GIAW because it’s different enough from them to where it doesn’t get repetitive. I also prefer this to Cloud in the fall/winter because the scent is wayyyyyy too common now, and I don’t want to smell like everyone else. If you’re a vanilla lover, get this!

Love. Sweet, gourmand, musky, soft. Reminds me of marshmallows. Does not smell like Cloud in my opinion. It does smell like Cheirosa 40 which I love, but Mod Vanilla is a bit more vanillic and powdery, which I enjoy because I'm a vanilla girlie. I've seen some people describe it as a "cold vanilla" which I agree with, I remember when I first smelled it one of my first thoughts was that this does not smell like the heavy, thick, sugary vanilla I'm used to.

It's an improvement from Cheirosa 40 in terms of performance, but I love this fragrance so much that I really wish it projected a little more.

I was a bit disappointed in this - and I love both Cloud and Cheirosa 40! To me it smells bitter and «noisy», but maybe I just need to give it more time.

I love the opening and mid of this, theres a good amount of earthyness, on my skin it started drying masculine and the vanilla is more powdery-musky rather than syrupy sweet which I'm thankful for because this never turned my stomach like most vanillas. I love how earthy this gets on me😻, it has a nice irisy touch as well. The dried scent was a bit reminiscent to me of Cocoa Palmer's body butter; which i really liked but I think at this price point I expected something else. I'd get this if the price dropped, it's a soft scent but it lingered around me for 5-6hrs.

Definitely has Ariana DNA, however this is absolutely its own scent; Cloud is slightly salty (ambroxan) and has more of a "crunchy" vibe, like toasted coconut or nuts.
God is a woman is fruitier (no vanilla) and more bubblegummy, kinda plasticky.
Mod vanilla is a soft, powdery, musky and earthy vanilla.

Although similar to Cloud or Cheirosa40 I just don't think Mod Vanilla compares at all. Mod Vanilla is everything that I have wanted in a Vanilla fragrance. It is smooth, buttery, not sickly sweet, sexy Vanilla!! What's not to love!

I hate how much I love this. Such a pretty vanilla. This smells like a pretty girl. It does have a kind of minty quality to it, like a fresh vanilla. Those top notes shine through and the cacao butter is just fucking stunning. Just wished it had more silage and longevity.

For reference, I do not like Cloud and I love this a lot.

This doesn’t remind me of cloud at all. I love how cloud smells, but I can’t wear it because it makes me nauseous. This smells like a vanilla cashmere sweater. I bought it immediately after smelling it! My fiancé said it’s the sexiest perfume in my collection.

Mod Vanilla smells almost identical to Cheirosa 40. This fragrance is however a bit softer and less woody than Cheirosa 40. Because of this, I prefer Mod Vanilla over Cheirosa 40.

I don't think this smells similar to Cloud. This is 100% the perfume version of Cheirosa 40.

The longevity is not the best. After an hour, the scent is gone. The only Ariana Grande scents that are strong and long lasting on me is Ari and Cloud.

To my nose this isn’t similar to cloud at all. It smells like Airwick’s White Vanilla air freshener with that similar minty vanilla smell attempting to cover the smell of cigarette smoke. It’s a sweet warm vanilla, but the minty and smokey notes are distinguished, not smooth or well blended. If you’ve smelt airwicks white vanilla you’ve smelt vanilla mod.

I can't wear Cloud since I am allergic to the lavender in it, so MOD Vanilla being similar to it is what drew me to it. I had been looking for a sweet vanilla gourmand fragrance for the colder weather and this one seemed perfect to me, and it lasts a relatively long-ish amount of time on my skin compared to other perfumes I have. I adore it but my boyfriend thought it smelled liquor-y? Not sure if anyone else thinks that. But I definitely recommend this fragrance.

This smells like 85% Cheirosa 40 and 20% Cloud. It's a beautiful, creamy vanilla but not a generic vanilla! The plum and musk really make it stand out.

All of Ariana Grande's fragrances are delicious but they always lack tremendously in the longevity and sillage department. Even though her perfumes are some of the most affordable out there, for their performance they're still too expensive. You're better off just buying Cheirosa 40 and 68 and layering them together. It'll smell almost identical and last a lot longer than Mod Vanilla.

i like it, it has an elegant and soft but also kind of strong smell? i dont know how to describe it so much. the only thing I dont like is that when you apply it you can literally smell the alcohol.

It’s a fruity vanilla. It’s not complex. It’s nice but for the price it’s not giving what it should. I’ll keep it because I like it and it reminds me of a girl in a robe. She’s sitting at her vanity with all her makeup on the table and she sprays this before bed or before a leisure day at home. It’s cute. It’s sweet. It’s calm. Nothing more, nothing less. It has some of that cloud essence where it’s airy and breezy. On first spray it was a bit confusing to me because I couldn’t smell much but then it settled into the middle and base notes. I get a good mix of praline and cocoa butter with vanilla. I’m happy I have it! It’s actually quite similar to sweet tooth by Sabrina carpenter or the dry down of cloud pink.

It's not a bad scent, it's just boring. If you prefer plain vanilla with not so much interesting notes dancing around you, go for this. It stays the same from beginning till the end. Nothing unique, it doesn't last long either. I don't know why they release the same vanilla scent in different bottles under different brands lol no offense to anyone who like this. I'm just not 16 anymore.

This smelled like vanilla with hints of marshmallow and plum when I first sprayed it, and then it dried down horribly on me. I genuinely wanted to like this because I love the listed notes however this smelled insanely musty on me. It really wasn't pleasant at all and it genuinely made me feel nauseous. I've been reading other reviews though and it really does seem like this smells differently on everyone :( I would recommend trying this first. I do seem to be in the minority though so don't let this discourage you lol

Its also worth noting I didn't experience any issues with the packaging and I actually liked the bottle very much.

The opening reminds me of Ari because of the musk which makes me nauseous in any perfume, but fortunately the musk disappears and it remains a sweet, delicious smell of vanilla, fresia and something just super yummy. I admit I would have prefered not to exist the musk inside, I just don t like musk anywhere. But in this one the good part is that musk is not as a base note, I don t think I could have used it without vomiting.
I recommend for gourmand lovers, even as a blind buy, like I did. I m very sorry it doesn t last at all on me. I imagine Barbie smelling so sweet and delicious.
The bottle is comfy in my opinion and the look is different, original and futuristic. I agree is not the classical look, but it is original. I don t get why for some people it is so difficult to use the bottle.... but each their own.

An elevated, creamier, smoother version of cloud. This is my absolute favourite perfume in my collection currently , it has enormous sillage and the longevity is really really good. Mod vanilla isn’t the basic vanilla that it’s been made out to be on tik tok, I wouldn’t even say that vanilla is the most noticeable note. On me this is a buttery, creamy coco butter, praline and slightly vanilla fragrance, smells absolutely divine! I can not get enough of this scent it’s a masterpiece seriously so gorgeous 💓 10/10

Weak stuff, and it's just a generic vanilla smell to boot.
If you want to smell like a drop of vanilla essence diluted in a litre of water, this is the perfume for you.

I suggest not blind buying, despite the safety of those notes on paper. I tried to enjoy this, but it smells like dusty cough syrup.

This one grew on me I personally didn’t like it for awhile, reminding me of Clean Reserve’s Skin & Radiant Nectar. Now it just smells like a plum cake to me. It’s so lovely and has some depth to it. I put this on to be in a cute girly mood. Reminds me of something a fairy would wear.

Laying down on the world’s comfiest pillow made of big soft squishy powdered vanilla marshmallows and waking up to a mug of hot milk with white chocolate. Deep into the drydown (8+ hours) I pick up on a faint rubbery note which keeps things fun and weird…This is a soft, pretty, comforting vanilla on its own but I’m really looking forward to layering it to tart up some of my more masculine fragrances…

I like it. The smell reminds me much of cloud but it’s more sweet. I used it all summer long and my friends adored it. The bottle is the only thing I didn’t really like.

Based on some reviews, I've been looking for this Mod Vanilla AG fragrance on sale so i could just sample it, and not dish out full price.
"Too similar to cloud, too much Orris, burnt vanilla, no coco, horrible bottle", etc.
Too much negativity to make me wait until now.
All the sales, just weren't a good deal if one has to pay for s/h, and tax.
So... might as well buy the FB from Ulta and get my points, lol. Hey, if I don't like it, I can always get my money back by returning or selling it.

Well, got my points at Ulta, took FOREVER to arrive, as it always does, but do I have time to drive my car to the actual store? No. Its Fall, I'm too busy Martha Stewart-ing my house, and attempting Food Network's Spooktacular baking DIYs, and my kid's football games, etc.

By the time it arrived, I had forgotten all about it, and the weather is now in the low 60°F, woo hoo!!!
Not freezing cold, not scorching hot, just right.
Grunting, and huffing, looking at me with disappointment, my husband handed me the Ulta box.

Mod Vanilla AG (to me) is Fall Perfect!
If you like Pink Cloud AG and/or Billie Eilish perfume (bronze bottle), you'll like this MVAG.
(Check out my other reviews on those).
In the opening I definitely get the sweet praline mixed in with the soft airy cotton which lasts the entire life of the fragrance. Also a hint of sharp white floral (probably the freesia?) which the sharpness does die down fairly quickly, and turns creamy and barley there.
A tad of the rubbery and dryness of the orris root, the fruity plum sweetens the vanilla, and to me, the cocoa butter is creamy and light in the far background making all the other notes stick together. The cocoa butter is not in your face. Rather it stays in the background act like a mom at a park enjoying the day sitting reading a good book (not on her phone), whilst keeping an eye on her kids in the playground.
The vanilla is not a "burnt vanilla", its sauté.

This isn't necessarily "Cloud and GIAW". It does of course have the flanker's DNA. That's typical, and hence, the purpose of a flanker. So it baffles me when people complain that flankers smell somewhat like the others in the family. Um, hello??
Anyway, when I smell this it reminds me of white clouds, fluffy cotton, and sweet soft vanilla.
Its not heavy or oily.
It is youthful, but not a "teenager" one dimension body mist vibe.
I can see really any age wear this. From a mature teenager, to a senior like my mom liking this.
It has good lasting power.
I sprayed some before bed (because its that soft), and woke up being able to still really smelling it.
I didn't reapply, but I got some whiffs during the day. When I picked up the kids from school, my son leaned in to kiss his momma and he said "it smells nice". Coming from a teenage boy, to take the time to compliment, means he was able to smell it and appreciate it.
My husband dug his nose in my neck and hair, and said "Mmm, I like that one".
I quickly informed him its the new one I got from Ulta, he rolled his eyes and said "you already have so many, but okay, its your thing, and I do like this one". Whew, bc I like it too, and I'm glad I got the full bottle.
Anyway, Mod Vanilla feels like a cozy cashmere sweater on a perfect fall day. ♡

I had a decant of Cloud and have a bottle of Mod Vanilla. Definitely if you only get vanilla bombs from both perfumes you'd say they're redundant. However on my skin Cloud is mostly a mix of Coconut and Vanilla, while Mod Vanilla is a mix of Orris, Vanilla, and Musk.

Once it settles on my skin it smells like a creamy vanilla version of Glossier You.

This is my go to floral vanilla for everyday. To me it isn't cloying on hot days if I apply sparingly. If you live in a tropical country like me you could definitely get away with wearing this if you're used to sweet scents.

In my opinion the silage here is quite mild and that’s a skin scent with a modest longevity, but it does not cancel the fact that this smell is very enjoyable. That’s a very cozy, wearable vanilla flattered by expensive and aromatic chocolate candies, powdery orris root and a splash of cacao cream; to my nose, the slight hint of freesia is noticeable too. Obviously the musk is there too, though that’s not that masculine scent that I can’t stand. I think musks in Ari’s perfumes are very wearable in general.
Because of vanilla and orris root I can link this to ‘god is a woman’ but barely at the opening. Then to me it smells more like the reformulated version of Yves Rocher ‘Cuir de nuit’.
To wear during cooler spring / Indian summer / indoors during family dinner or watching TV. But of course this scent is quite safe and you can wear it anywhere you’d like.

I love the vanilla scent here in this perfume, but.. what ruined the smell is either the pink freesia and the coco butter in the dry down. Made the perfume smells like vanilla chocolate. With grandma flowers and wet laundry.

My favorite scent is vanilla and this fragrance is my all time favorite. Forever repurchasing. Perfect for everyday wear, perfect for summer, winter, fall or spring. Smells cozy and to me it feels relaxing. The projection is great, lasts hours on my skin and days on my clothes. Definitely a 10/10.

After reading the reviews it seems as though this works differently on everyone. I bought both MOD and CLOUD and honestly, Cloud is just too much for me. It's sharp and not very pleasant on my skin. But Mod is different. More sweet and subtle and lasts forever. Every once in awhile I would smell something good and realized it was the Mod perfume on my wrist. I only bought the travel size of both and will probably just use up the Mod and not buy a large bottle. I do have AG's God is a Woman and I love that. Totally different than either of these.

got this in gratis at my old job. when i sprayed it on my wrist i immediately recoiled from the cloying sweetness. its a very generic hyperfeminine vanilla scent and lacks depth for me. my room smelled like betty crocker hotboxed it. thankfully the staying power is subpar, so i didnt have to deal with that for long. major pass for me.

This is basically Cloud lite. A safe, not going to annoy anyone kind of smell. I didn’t like the original cloud much and I’m still waiting for Cloud pink to be released here in New Zealand. This is a better option than mod blush.. that ones just straight up mall toilet air freshener.

I saw people saying that this is similar to cloud but better so I got a 5ml decant of this to test it out. I'm so glad I didn't get a full bottle of this because to me it smells nothing like cloud.

It dries down to a weird powdery dirty smel with a hint of vanilla and plum. I think that the oris note comes through for me on the skin and it really unpleasent.

This smells like if you were to mix sol de Janeiro 40 and cloud. I like this better than cloud but don't think it's as strong. Good for every day. This would be my fave scent if it was stronger and lasted longer.

I was debating on either getting Cloud or this. I'm glad I chose Mod Vanilla. This is my favourite scent from Ariana Grande. It literally smells like an airy marshmallow cloud with a tart opening coming from the plum. Out of all my fragrances, this got me the most compliments. On me, it has great longevity especially on clothes! A staple in my collection x

Not at home and only fragrance to hand was my daughter’s bottle of Mod Vanilla. Gave myself a couple of sprays entirely blind and thought hang on….there’s a note of Cloud in this (she has that one too). It’s subtle but it’s there under the vanilla. I was just expecting a soft, youthful vanilla / praline combo. It’s not something I’ll pick up for myself at my age (44), but I have to say as a one-off I am rather enjoying it. My teenage self would have adored it. Like mother, like daughter I guess :)

I dont think it smells like cloud. I see similarity but they are different. Mod vanilla smells like pancakes/crepes!!

This is my favorite perfume and signature scent. I just can’t get enough of it. I’m constantly reaching for it and have to force myself to use my other fragrances. It’s a very cozy, airy, creamy fragrance. It actually lasts 8 hours on my skin. I get notes of Vanilla, Coconut, and Musk. I have cloud as well and I don’t like it. They smell nothing alike to me. To me this is a scent that can be worn year round. My favorite way to layer it is with Native Coconut and Vanilla Body Wash and Lotion + Bare Vanilla. It leaves me smelling like a bakery. I actually like the bottle and don’t find it super hard to spray. Another thing I love about this perfume is that it’s inoffensive. I feel like this perfume is so well rounded in every way.

The addition which I'm not keen on with with strong (cooking type rather than sugary) vanilla, is rounded, liquid fruity though pale and not usual fruity smell, aloe? But not green..
Can't say I can place orris as a scent, so I don't know if it's that, or just the way this perfume has been composed.

Salty! As if there is a delicate soy sauce touch somewhere in there. Doesn't come across like salted caramel fyi.

There you have it. Vanilla, rounded, a little dry from iris and musk - though I cannot discern them, and a faint touch of watered down soy.

Um... well... this smells like vanilla essence.
It's a bit nicer than the billie eilish one, which is also extremely simplistic..

Mod vanilla is a bit powdery, vanilla- cooking vanilla - there's something a little pointy in it... can't quite think what it is.
This isn't fruity .. it does something on the fabric of my top I'm not keen on... bland but slightly sharp..
On my skin it's more rounded, I wouldn't call this creamy.. I'm not getting much florals, milkyness, not nutty... not specifically anyway.

To me it's on par with Eilish.

It's priced at $85 fir 100ml which I feel is high, higher than Elizabeth arden and those sorts of brands, much higher than Britney, Katy, and delta etc, and I don't feel the quality justifies that price gap.

For me i REALLY like this perfume, almost a love but not just b/c i wish it projected a lil better. I like it so much b/c I don't own any version of cloud, or similar scents, this my only Ariana Grande parfum so this is unique to my collection. But for those who already own cloud, or any really sweet vanilla, even sweet tooth Caramel Dream by Sabrina Carpenter, that is a similar profile not the same, but same vibe, id say you won't really need this, but if you don't have a lot of vanilla fragrences yet, then I'd say this is a decent addition. I get mostly vanilla, musk, and a hint of plum, and then i get a little freesia, and praline towards the middle but it goes away quickly and back to the vanilla, plum and musk. Very comforting, cold weather fragrence.

Upon first few minutes it smells fine. It’s good but it isn’t anything super special. Then it dries down to a sickly sweet vanilla. I’m a vanilla lover and this is just too much on me. I also find the bottle clunky, impractical, and ugly.

It’s just way way way too sweet. I sprayed it on me at Ulta and it lasted well over 5 hours. So if you enjoy this scent that’s a plus, but for me it just confirmed that I shouldn’t buy this. I usually love Ariana’s perfumes too. Disappointed with this one.

What I'm getting here, in MOD Vanilla, I was hoping to get out of Comme des Garsones perfumes!

All those "burnt leather"/"bubling hot rubber"/"static electricity" notes are here, in a nice and neat celebrity perfume!
Don't get me wrong, sometimes I can smell listed notes here (the plum is so delicious!), but its synthetic escence is just divine.

MOD Vanilla is definetley not sweet, it is plesant and cozy, but weird and - I may say - actually quite dark! I adore it so much!

Never thought I would find this treasure in Ariana's line!

Very cozy Vanilla that works in all seasons. It’s not sweet like a sweetened vanilla. Think of vanilla with the lightest touch of plum. Lasts aroud 5 hours which is not bad, and you just smell yummy without being headache inducing 😊 to be honest, between this and Cloud Pink, I can’t decide which ones win 💕
This one is a compliment getter. I am told I smell good. Generally, Ariana’s fragrances are compliment getter.

Right off the bat this perfume reminds me of Cloud and God is a woman. Cloud because of the soft and airy vanillic sweetness that it has and GIAW because of the bright, sweet fruity note. It's nice enough, but not really what I was expecting from this perfume. The longevity is about 2-3 hours and the sweet fruity and vanilla scent of the beginning disappears in half an hour and for the rest of the duration it's a musky, orris root scent. I sense no praline or cacao butter note in this perfume.

This scent is mild, light and tame. It would have been amazing if they had done a proper creamy, heavy vanilla perfume. They could have done much better with this.

Yeah the smell is okay, that's why I won't rate this as a dislike, it's just "meh". Whenever I wear this I feel the need to spray it heavily and I also use this for layering with other perfumes.

I was looking to get this for a loong time and i finally bought it. This is the perfect pretty girl scent, it's super vanilla and sweet and I love it. What surprised me is that the perfume actually smells way better on me and in the bottle now than when I have tested it in the store. I know a lot of ppl compare this to Cloud, but for some reason it actually reminds me of Ari. Longevity wise I think it's pretty decent, this wasnt cheap at all in my country, but tottally worth it. If you love sweet cozy vanilla that would get you compliments, this one's perfect.

smells very young with coconut + vanillia notes. a bit of a remix of Cloud in a bottle. doesn't last very long unfortunately. had to spray multiple times for it to actually project.

I’ve been wearing this long enough to form a proper opinion on it and I absolutely love it! It’s definitely in my top 5 cold weather / cozy perfumes. It does have similar DNA to cloud, but after you’ve been wearing this for a while and go back to cloud there is a distinctive difference. Mod vanilla is a creamy, cozy marshmallow vanilla. Cloud is sharper and a little more synthetic. It smells so good layered with a vanilla lotion (and other perfumes!). It is inoffensive and easy to wear. I love putting it on out the shower before bed. I wish it lasted a little longer / projected more but people seem to still be able to smell it on me long after I can’t. If you love vanilla, you have to have this, it’s a staple for me now. Smells lovely with prada paradoxe too!

This perfume is super cozy and I can even smell something smoky in the background, really comforting and safe.

I don't really get the Cloud comparisons, but it is similarly sweet and milky and I do enjoy wearing it to bed.
My biggest gripe is the bottle. Talk about style over function. It looks stylish, but my dexterity is not the greatest and I struggle to spray it where I want to spray it because it's so awkward for me to hold. That said, it's not a problem to decant it into a different bottle for my own personal ease of use.
The scent itself is very sweet and pretty. It is very strong though so go easy on the trigger.
I could imagine it becoming very cloying if over-sprayed.
I don't find the performance weak at all. I'm getting a solid 5/6 hours before it fades which I think for the price point is pretty good. I agree with @theprincessxoxo it's really cosy and will be gorgeous to wear in Fall/Winter.

I decided I to buy this since I love cloud but everyone wears it and wanted something different with a similar vibe. On initial spray it smelt a lot like cloud but creamier However the smell literally disappeared on me after a few minutes. I asked my partner if they could smell my perfume and he said he couldn’t smell anything at all. Not sure if it hust doesn’t work with my body chemistry but I can’t even smell it on my clothes. I made my friend try it and she couldn’t smell it on herself either. Very disappointed by this because I love the smell shame I can’t return it.

I am a huge fan of this perfume, and I make no apologies either. I bought this with zero regrets, and for that matter, I’ve been buying the whole Ariana line since its inception. Sure my buddies give me weirdo looks, but they change their tunes ones I start giving off sweet scents that just lure people in. This stuff still shares the same sugary DNA of the Cloud perfumes, but it does become something completely different past the opening.

It has tons of musk which just appeals to me as a man, and beyond the vanilla, burnt sugar smell, this bottles charm begins to shine by the mid. It’s here where the almost candy type begins kick in.

One thing I’ve noticed with a lot of male colognes is that a lot of the times I mainly only get compliments from other men. However, with Grande scents, they draw in compliments galore from the opposite sexes like you wouldn’t believe.

I legit had mother pull me aside while shewas with her girlfriends asking what the hell I was wearing. I told her the new Ariana Grande Mod Vanilla. She and her friends said that it smelled like a bakery and a candy store shmucked together. Sorry ladies, I can’t keep letting all of you keep getting the good stuff all to yourselves. It’s marketed for women clearly, but clearly I don’t follow rules…Sue me.

On my skin it lasts pretty long, with a large silage that if I walk down a hall and someone follows, they can smell it from quite a distance, at least for the first few hours. The next two hours it turns to a skin scent, and by the 5th or 6th hour, it’s gone. It lasts days upon days if you get some on your clothes and come back to it a few days later. Here in Canada it’s relatively cheap at about 87$ for a 100ml which is more than acceptable for me. If you’re on the fence for this stuff, don’t be, it’s a banger, and if I had a girlfriend and she was wearing this, I wouldn’t kick her out of bed for eating cookies. :)

Very delicious. A mix of vanilla and cookies that's rather cozy. Blind bought this given the comparisons to Cheirosa 40 but this is very reminiscent of Cloud to me instead, like a vanilla take on Cloud. Can't really smell the cacao note, but very worth the hype otherwise. Versatile, clean and pleasant.

This opens a lot like God is a Woman, minus the lovely juicy pear, and the dry down is similar to Cloud, except it's more of a creamy vanilla without the plastic doll head accord. I definitely can pick up on the cocoa butter, but where is the plum and fresia? It's a fine fragrance, but completely unnecessary in the Ariana Grande line.

I'm caught off guard with the notes of this one because on a tester strip it had me fooled but, I guess my skin turns it into the delicious scent of marshmallows straight from the bag. Sweet/powdery MARSHMALLOWS, just the type of scent I've been looking for!

It slightly reminds me of moonlight but without the floral punch and it has the same sweetness as GIAW. I don't get cloud vibes really, MAYBE a hint of warmth from the praline but it sits behind the sweetness within this scent.

My wife’s signature scent. It’s fantastic, regardless of what everyone is saying here. The cheirosa comparisons I understand, but this is an eau de parfum. Fantastic for women in their 20s (and younger too). Fresh, balanced, sweet. Vanilla is not sickly sweet but smooth making this a versatile scent that can be used in any situation. My wife loves layering it with other gourmands/florals. Really fantastic release from AG. Blind buy safe. Just get it already!

Like a cocktail of Cheriosa 40 and Cloud. It starts off as straight up Cheriosa 40, very sugary and sweet, and settles into more of a Cloud like scent as the hours go by. I feel like a few spritzes of Cheriosa 40 and one tiny spray of Cloud would give me the same scent. Will have to try that and compare!

Mod Vanilla is sweeter than expected and not really similar to Mod Blush at all. I have yet to try and mix them together though like they are supposed to. Overall it’s a pleasant scent, but probably not a necessary purchase if you already own Cloud.

I have a question. Do you smell the Cacao Butter?

This fragrance is such a mess. It smells like alcohol for the first 10 seconds then it transforms into dama bianca/cheirosa 40 and after that all I smell is a little fluffier cloud and then it’s gone! I overspray (20-30 sprays) I should be able to smell it atleast for an hour or two but there’s no longevity or projection what so ever. I’m really dissapointed. Love Mod Blush tho.

This to me smells like a combination of Cheirosa 40 and the new Kayali Silk Santal perfume. In other words a sugary sweet fluffy vanilla with some dark fruits however in the dry down you can definitely smell Cloud DNA. Its so good! Performance and longevity are moderate but for the price I think its a really cute and pretty perfume.

I was so excited to finally test this, but sadly it leaned too similar to "Cloud" (which I have) ☁️ Might test again, but I don't think there's a massive difference.

‼️ Second sampling: This is like “Cloud” with a hint of “Cheirosa 40” and it’s delicious. The longevity is disappointing… I’m oddly tempted however.

it's really nice and marshmallow like, but there's a screechy medicinal note in it i really dont like as it dries down.

Delicious! Such a beautiful everyday scent. Very cozy vanilla. Sadly not released in New Zealand.. I had to get a friend to find me one in Australia but they only had a 30ml. Such a shame! So many people have already asked me what I’m wearing. At any opportunity I will buy a large bottle and a back up!

This is a cozy, wearable vanilla scent. Out of all of the Ariana Grande fragrances this is definitely my favorite one. I do wish it smelled less powdery.

Smells like sol de janeiro cheirosa 40 in the opening and dries down smelling almost identical to cloud, without the lavender. I prefer it to cloud, but if you have either of those perfumes it's not really worth getting imo

Je vais être très honnête, quand j'ai testé ce parfum en magasin juste par curiosité c'était le coup de foudre ! Je l'ai pris tout de suite malgré cette bouteille qui ne ressemble a rien! après j'étais choquée par la plus faible performance que j'ai jamais vu (et j'ai tout essayé sur vêtements cheveux peau hydratée, j'ai mis des tonnes,NADA!!)Franchemant si vous faîtes une version intense sans changer la senteur ça sera un parfum de rêve! # (et s'il vous plaît please changez ce flacon ,vraiment !!)

I am in love with this scent! Everyone says it smells like cloud but I am not a fan of cloud but love this so take of that what you will. It is very sweet vanilla with a hint of musk so if you don’t like overly sweet perfumes then yes it’s not for you!
Stays on my skin about 5-6 hours which isn’t bad for the price. I like to smell my perfumes when I wear them and I can definitely smell this when I wear it. Only negative is the awkward bottle but I can get over that for the beautiful smell. I would lean on the side that it’s better suited to summer and spring but I will probably use all seasons.

Black Opium without the patchouli.

I *love* it. Makes you smell yummy but in a sophisticated way.
