Tobacco Honey by Guerlain is a Amber Woody fragrance for women and men. This is a new fragrance. Tobacco Honey was launched in 2023. The nose behind this fragrance is Delphine Jelk. Top notes are Honey, Cloves and Anise; middle notes are Tobacco, Tonka, Vanilla and Sesame; base notes are Agarwood (Oud) and Sandalwood.

Guerlain launches Tobacco Honey in September 2023 as a part of the  L'Art & La Matière collection. The fragrance combines delicious amber tobacco accord with vanilla, tonka bean, and sesame, that come alive under the glow of intoxicating honey, enhanced by clove and anise accord. At the base, the precious accord reinforces its trail with woody notes combining the creamy softness of sandalwood and the power of oud wood.

"I've wanted to combine honey and tobacco for a long time. On the one hand, we have the dried tobacco leaves with their swirls of powdery aroma; on the other, we have honey as a delicious, enveloping nectar," said Delphine Jelk, Perfumer and Creative Director at Guerlain.

Available in 100ml and 200ml Eau de Parfum.

Pros:
- One of the most realistic honey notes I've ever experienced in a fragrance
- Fantastic performance (8 to 10 hours)

Cons:
- Incredibly linear scent
- Intensely sweet, becomes cloying rather fast
- Other listed notes (tobacco/oud) that would have complimented this scent well are close to undetectable due to being drowned out by the honey note

Truthfully just smells like you grabbed a container of natural honey and lathered it on yourself. If you're into that, this should be right up your alley I guess. Personally not a fan at all.

Atinea Noir

Sweet honeyed tobacco. Similar to but less complex than Tobacco Vanille. Sharper. More linear. Intensely sweet and spicy opening. Unlisted cacao-like accord midway through. Uneventful woody dry down. Very long lasting.

peachrings

It's a gorgeous scent, but I wouldn't call it unisex, at least not by traditional standards. The honey is very realistic, but definitely warm and woody rather than sweet. I'm normally skeptical of tobacco as a note, but it works beautifully here, providing rich, smoky depth without actually making me think "oh, this smells of tobacco."

Omarion7

True niche.

This is the best tobacco in the game no doubt.

Honey note so strong like nothing else out there.

Absolute beast mode performance & top quality.

Love 10/10

As this macerates with time, people will go crazy trying to find original batches of this. Honey, cloves, tobacco and a touch of tonka. Beautiful creation.

Has_x8

Noooo I have 10ml sample smells like when you open a bottle of honey from the grocery no no thank you..

rene.saller

I can tell that Tobacco Vanille is an elegant, well-blended, high-quality fragrance, and I can also tell that it is not for me. I find it too masculine and a bit acrid, despite the beautiful and very convincing honey note. The clove gives it a slightly aromatic kick, sort of eucalyptus-like, but this is just not the way I would like to smell. If I walked into a boutique and the atmosphere smelled like this, I would be favorably impressed, but at least on my skin, within the scent bubble, it has an overall musty quality in the woods that spoils the spicy vanilla notes for me. It's also possible that I just cannot bear tobacco because I had to develop an aversion to stop smoking. This does remind me a bit of tasting the honey in tobacco, and vice versa, which happened to me much more often when I smoked and had a physical addiction to nicotine. Oh well. It's not like I don't have a bunch of other Guerlain fragrances to covet! Even though I don't particularly like this specific Jelk creation, I'm still giving it a Like rather than a Neutral because I do recognize its quality (even though I also think the entire L'Art et la Matière line is wildly overpriced). If I had chosen my own samples, I probably wouldn't have chosen this one, but I'm thrilled that I got the chance to smell it. At the same time, I'm sure I will need to scrub it from my hand to keep from feeling nauseated.

In some ways this smells like a much bougier version of Oakcha Moira along with one of my Middle Eastern fragrances, possibly, though I'm not sure which one. Khamrah or Casablanca possibly. I never wear those either; I gave Moira away and should probably give all of them away to someone who can vibe with this profile, which I clearly cannot. I'll give the rest of this sample to a friend who can appreciate it more, although I suppose I should hold onto it as a reference tobacco-vanilla, just so I remember that if Guerlain can't make me love a particular combination of notes, no one can, and why bother? Plenty of other people enjoy it on their skin certainly, and I really do think it's me, I'm the problem, it's me, at least where tobacco notes are concerned.

Longevity is likely insane because I washed it off my hand with hot water and soap, and I can still smell it.

Creamy_ambrette

This is the first fragrance I’ve sampled that smells like real honey. Gorgeous! Doesn’t smell like tobacco Vanille to me at all! The opening is straight up honey and cloves. The cloves are slighty atringent which is good because the honey is so sticky sweet! Will updates after some more wears but first impression is a strong like.

RexTenebris

Lovely scent. If I didn’t have Tobacco Vanille by TF I would get a bottle of this. To my nose it’s the exact same scent except as you would guess, swap out the honey for vanilla with the Guerlain. Very nice warm and comfy tobacco scent.

Sten310

Nothing that hasn’t been done before, to be honest. The honey is there and it is sweet, but not in the cloying way of fragrances like Naxos. I’d still wear Pure Havane over this, even if price was not a determining factor (and for $300+ it certainly is, lol.) My main complaint with this one is that there’s no evolution in the notes at all—you just get the tobacco, honey, and spices. That might not be a problem for some, but it becomes too much for me with how long it lasts on my skin. Just seems like a strange release in an overly saturated market. My advice is to buy a small 20-30ml decant if you love this stuff as you will only need one spray per wear.

PrincipeFilip

Sweeter version of xerjoff - 40 knots. Overall honey amber, i dont get much tobacco, sandalwood tonka

Joseebus

This is simply delicious. An absolutely gorgeous honey scent. Thick, sweet, dark, and powdery. It’s like Zoologist’s "Bee" without the unfortunate cat urine vibe.

EstanciaMercedes

Had I known Tonka was on the mix, I might have never even tried this, and never known just how addictive it is. Tonka and vanilla are there, but more like an herb garni, adding a certain depth, but not upstaging the beef.

Speaking of beef, it's not signature Guerlain gourmand to my nose, the honey note aside. The spices dance around that honey heart, the tobacco mingling with the oud like a warm ember. The top and mid notes last quite a while. The dry down is only just starting. Having applied it after an evening shower, I'll know more tomorrow morning.

In summary, a rather edgy scent, it's unexpected, scarce, you won't pass by many, if any, using it. Reminiscent of a Hermes, slightly quirky yet hypnotic. This is a masterpiece of perfumery. Loving it.

sweetlolly333

Okay so this smells so addictive, at first it was a No but after a few minutes I couldn't stop sniffing it all day long. I see a lot of people comparing it to TF Tobacco Vanille and to me that's not an accurate comparison at all but I can see how they are similar. The honey can be a bit too realistic at the beginning but what I love about this perfume is the endless longevity. I literally washed the thing I sprayed it on a few days later and it still smelled like tobacco honey after I washed it!!

LKV

Smells almost identical to TF Tobacco Vanille.

Caesar's Legion

This is quite a pleasant honey Tobacco.
It's a light tobacco scent. Dry down does remind me of TF Tobacco Vanille a tiny bit. I wish the Tobacco and Oud were intensified a bit . It also reminds me of 1821 Sweet Tobacco too.

Dunnie

This fragrance is exactly what you’d expect based off the name which is surprising for a Guerlain. I get a very accurate representation of natural honey with a slight tobacco base. Very sweet and deep composition. I get more of a honey vanilla on the dry down than tobacco, but those who love tobacco will pick up on it. If you don’t like tobacco, please give this a try. This fragrance has persuaded me to jump aboard. I think Herod has a more prominent tobacco note if that helps. Also, the honey immediately reminded me of Back To Black. This stuff is great. Lasts and lasts. It has the Guerlain quality and DNA we all love.

dan99

Potent honey that is similar in bee from zoologist infused with cherry from lost cherry tom ford. Its a force that demands attention, so wear with confidence!

lessthanzero

Nuclear sheesha.

therapywithangelica

Beautiful honey and tobacco, you need to spray one or two max on wrists if you want subtle sillage. Defintatly wear this in cold, night, fall weather.

daffodilsandcoffee

This is delicious and interesting but the type of profile I will get sick of. I will savor my sample as I can't see myself ever going through an entire bottle.

EDIT after a few wears: On me, the honey really comes through and I barely get any tobacco or supporting notes. I wore it to brunch with my family and no one liked it! My mom said it smelled like bbq (mesquite?), my dad was indifferent, and my fragrance obsessed brother said he wasn't a fan at all. So weird. They also felt similarly about Guidance...go figure.

The Scentimentalist

Hyper realistic honey. Hyper realistic tobacco. Each note done well in its own right. The combination, however, is hyper obnoxious.

DiscoPolga

This is named perfectly - it's tobacco and honey, creating a smooth, sweet and smoky fragrance. It's being compared to Bee, but in my opinion Bee is much more honey-centric. Tobacco Honey is more "dirtied" by the smokey notes of tobacco. I recommend Zoologist's Bee or Slowdive by Hiram Green if you're looking for more honey.

lmnsvgz

This is the strongest honey scent I have ever smelled. Incredibly sweet, syrup-like honey.

The other notes are there but arent as strong.

I imagine this being headache inducing. The honey is way too strong.

Featherblossom

Smells like cough syrup and tobacco. Like being unwell and stuck in a chainsmoker's house. End result of one spray - nauseating headache.

The drydown is marginally better because the honey turns spicy and works well with the oud, but the tobacco ruins it.

I should really avoid any scent with tobacco as a note - I have a visceral reaction to it 😭

Alhosani

pure honey

Raquel73

This perfume is completely on the masculine side. And in any case, I wouldn't want to smell it on a man. I love Guerlain, but this is loud, squeaky and reminds me of lower quality perfumes. This is a no for me.
I'm glad someone can enjoy it. I just feel nauseous 🤢

SouthernSwagger3182

Back story I smelled this at Saks maybe November and I didn’t put on skin but to me it smelled too similar to Tobacco Vanille. Yesterday at work a colleague walked past me and I had to ask what was he wearing. When he said this I was shocked for two reasons. First man that’s what smelling like this and second how do you know about this lol. Today I went to Saks and put it on skin.

Fragrance is spicy honey on initial spray. Dry realistic honey but lots of it. The first hr wasn’t a love but definitely not a hate but a nice strong honey. This fragrance shines in the mid and late dry down to skin scent where that tobacco blends in with the honey, spices, sandal wood, and Oud and it smells amazing. I put on around 11 and just got out the shower 8:55 and it’s still a pretty strong skin scent. Definitely expects it to last 12hr judging from how other similar fragrances perform also I did 4 sprays.

Do I need this? That’s. Good question. To me this is something that is redone to a degree but excellent quality. It’s not really unique but still a great frag. Will k get a bottle? Maybe though $395 is pretty steep you’re definitely getting quality. I guess for me my next purchase will be either this or Argos Triumph of Bacchus extrait.

YourFragranceFriend

I sprayed this on my wrist at Guerlain in EPCOT. It lasted all day and I could smell it on myself throughout all the activities. I detected a strong honey scent that is very heavy and rich. I get the smoky spice of cloves and tobacco. It was too much for me because I do not enjoy these heavy, literal honey scents. However, it delivers on the name and performance if that is what you want.

It doesn’t have much of an opening, mid, base. It stays the same as the opening for several hours then you get the base. It’s more enjoyable for me as the honey has become less cloying and oud emerges.

This scent is perfectly unisex. My husband enjoyed it much more than I as Tobacco Vanille was his signature scent for a couple years.

Mateo2022

If you’ve smelled a honey backwood you’ve smelled this

TabledThoughts

I love Guerlain. They are a favorite perfume House and I have all respect for them.
This rather pricey fragrance, though, has a startling resemblance to Nususk Amber Oud, which sells for 25 dollars.
However, Guerlain is sweeter and better made and is the nicer choice at full drydown.
FYI- Floris Honey Oud is another, slightly more affordable alternative.

muuul

My dream honey fragrance! It’s what I wanted Naxos to be (too lemony on me) and Back to Black (too powdery) to be as well… a sweet, syrupy honey veering on greenness/floral instead of the baby powder Killian. And the plant-y aspect gives it a slight sharpness but not as sharp as the Lysol that Naxos turns into on me (ugh, wish Naxos worked on me tho).

It makes me think of L’Occitane when it had honey-scented bath/body products.

To my frag-neophyte of a nose, Tobacco Honey is somewhat of a linear honey frag. If you like SUPER SWEET honey that, at least on me, isn’t powdery, then this is worth the $ because it lasts foreverrrr

moisesst

Wear this if you want to smell like a honey backwood.

Sereen84

Love at first sniff. A gorgeous dark, thick honey with wonderful spices like clove and anise which go together perfectly! The tobacco is blonde, soft and so full of flavour. I want a full 200 ml bottle asap

Embot

Lovely honey, no sourness to it. Makes me think of a non-animalic Mamluk Xerjoff

Perpetual Collector

Gorgeous. Lots more wearable than Tobacco Vanille or Velvet Teddy. Both of those, since they are identical liquid under two different names ( feel free to research this further) are too overloaded with honey, which renders them sickengly sweet. I can't wear either. Tobacco Honey goes light handed on the honey, putting more emphasis on that tobacco leaf, just classy.
Full bottle worthy, and certainly worth the price ❤️

Cogniaux

This was an instant love for me when I got a smaple and I got a full bottle in Vegas. It’s not something I wear often but I love it when I’m in the mood for a honey. I’ve tried other honey perfumes and they’re either far too sweet or undetectable. This makes a great balance and the tobacco is powdery and gourmand-like.

mirrorghost

this opens with tobacco, tonka and anise. i find it to be a dry tobacco as opposed to a greener one. the honey gets more prominent over time. essentially a hay-like tobacco with honey and tonka on my skin. nice and warming for cold weather, but too expensive for me, and i also have other similar scents that scratch the same itch.

Sandrinestella

Beautiful, but way too expensive. I just can't.

scnofthcrime

It's *exactly* what you would expect based on the name. Lots of honey and tobacco that practically smells golden. It does resemble TF tobacco vanille and frankly smells more like the old school Tom Ford's than his current stuff does. Absolutely intoxicating. This is potent stuff, do not over spray this one or you risk bothering people around you. As much as I'm loving this one the price combined with the limited use I'd get (really can't imagine wearing this in summer, it'd likely make me sick) means I would only purchase small decants for fall and winter. This is absolutely lovely and I definitely recommend getting your nose on it if you love honey and tobacco.

faris_fauzee

i get the same dry down with Mugler Pure Havane but with the honey amplified a bit more in here whereas Pure Havane having tobacco-honey ratio abit more balanced in the dry down

Pilikins

It is exactly as the bottle says: super smooth tobacco with very realistic and sweet honey. Must have if you love honey. I don’t because that note gives me a headache. However I can’t fault the craftsmanship- amazing. The combination of tobacco and honey here make a far superior perfume to TV, which I find clawing. Pity I can’t wear it.

TBonetheFella

If someone is willing to trade/sell their bottle for less than retail pm me. This shit is addicting to me (US only and prefer to swap)

FragBoy Stewie

Okay, this one really did grow on me. It's one of the most realistic and delicious honey scents I'd ever put my nose on. It has incredible performance too and, IMO, is FB-worthy!
Note: My first decant was great through and through, but I seem to have gotten a bit unlucky with my second one which, while maintaining that sweet viscous body, seems to develop a slightly sour and spicy (cloves) undertone on my skin after an hour or so. Might get a third one to break the tie. :)

2bClare

Incredible. So well done. It’s like someone brought a couple trays from their beehive dripping with fresh honey and wax and set them down for a minute in a book lined study, with an old leather sofa and open tins of high quality pipe tobacco on the coffee table. And in the background is the faint aroma of baking sugar cookies.
A sweet fragrance done in the best way. Not the light fruity candy floss that seems to be popular with young girls, but a rich, deep complex gorgeous scent with good sillage that lasts forever. I’m a woman and love it but I think it’s perfectly unisex. I know it’s crazy expensive but in this case I think it’s the ingredients and the quality and not the hype.

PerfumedParrot

Beastmode! This is sooooo strong and powerful, it’s the omnipotent Thanos of perfume.

I’m in my honey era, so I had to try Tobacco Honey. Firstly, it is like Tobacco Vanille, but there’s so much vanilla here, I can’t enjoy the honey. This isn’t like Bee, as Bee is all about the naturalistic honey with the supporting vanilla smoothly blending into the background. This is a gourmand head-butt to my senses.
Vanilla lovers will embrace this steam-roller of a scent. And if you love this, then you’ll adore the chocolatey Sith Lord of Feve Gourmande (although it doesn’t last anywhere near as long).

I appreciate this strength of character with the creation of a fragrance that finally lasts for eternity, but my bee’s have buzzed-off.

ShaunMichael

Like RICOLA cough drops. Not my favorite

Odor Aeternitatis

This is my first impression of Tobacco Honey. It is VERY sweet, rich, and warm with a very dominant honey note. It has more honey fragrance than tobacco. The tonka bean and vanilla are very common in many Guerlain fragrances. I don't know where Guerlain sources their raw materials from. To my nose, the quality is extremely good.

One of the things I like about this fragrance is that it's not floral like many other honey and tobacco fragrances. Instead, they used warm spices like cloves and anise, which I like a lot in this fragrance. The honey in this fragrance has depth and complexity, and it's very realistic, almost like a gourmand type, but it's not animalic. I haven't encountered such a high-quality honey note in other fragrances. If you like warm and sweet fragrance, this is for you.

8/10

Beardsome

I got a sample of this fragrance as I was certain it was going to be my next purchase from looking at the notes but boy was I wrong. The opening is the best part of the fragrance, spicy, earthy with a touch of honey and tobacco. The dry down is a huge disappointment, all I get is pure honey with no depth. This fragrance should have been called just honey lol. Glad I didn’t blind buy it.

lipstickzombie

I wanted to buy this on the spot, it's a Love for me, absolute nuke with just 2 sprays in the longevity and sillage department (room filler for nearly 12 hours, fades at around 16 but leaves a trail) but the price is a nuke to my wallet as well. I'm just playing around with my leftover Pure Honey by Kim Kardashian and the Tobacco Extrait Series by Ibrahim Alqureshi (I have Cuban and Dominican Tobacco) and pretend the stuff I spray is a flanker.

Surfinirfin

So when I first when on my perfume journey, I was looking for something floral as that fits my vibe. I discovered margiela’s floral market, which is discontinued, i liked it but didn’t love it. It didn’t have green I was looking for and then I realized it wasn’t green I was looking for but herbal.

Where does tobacco honey come in?

I discovered guerlain. I got tobacco honey as a sample and i was in love. I had never smelled anything this good. I used to wear bvlgari man in black and i wanted something different, this frlt better. The honey really came out beautifully in the dry down. To the point I looked everywhere for a floral honey fragrance.

But over time as I further tried my sample, I liked it less and less. I bought a full bottle before that, but i thought about returning it before use. I almost thought I stored the sample incorrectly because it didn’t have the efficacy I wanted.

I did some research and I thought layering with MFK baccarat rouge 540 would be killer. You can check my review for that, it did amplify it.

But i decided to open and try it and i liked it again. Not enormous love like last time. But it was the best in my opinion for a manly fragrance.

I think it is phenomenally better than jazz club (replica by margiela) and reviewers online say jazz club is one of the best for men.

This is expensive, but I feel this is a lot better even after I only “liked” it later on.

I hated jazz club instantly.

Velvet orchid is similar to this but sweet floral drink version (not medicinal syrup), but unique and killer. If you can pull off velvet orchid, that is better but incredible for intimate where as velvet orchid consumes a room and is vivid and sharp. Tobacco honey is much more manly

kitcat99

This one was not good for me. It just smells like over powering honey. Sadly, I didn’t get any hint of Tabacoo, it was just like I was smelling from the honey jar. My partner didn’t care for it all and asked me what I sprayed in the bathroom because it was terrible.

skm50

I wear this scent more than any other scent I own. Idk what it is about this scent that is just so good. It doesn’t smell like what everyone else is wearing. It’s unique and unpredictable. You get an intoxicating honey with tobacco and whispers of oud and anise. There really is no gender to this perfume. It just smells amazing and goes with any gender. If you gravitate towards gourmands, you must try this. What you get is a photorealistic raw golden honey in your face. It smells expensive and rich, intense and delicious. The tobacco is there, but not the star of the show. I smell it more as the scent dries down. The tobacco is beautifully and softly blended in. I absolutely love the oud and anise, which gives it depth and complexity. Be sparing with use, because this is a beast of a perfume. It is expensive, but it will last you a forever. 12+ hours of wear for me. One spray on my neck, and two small sprays on my wrist is all I need for the whole day. I spend a lot of time outside and the smell of this in the cold winter air is divine. If you want something bold and different, this is a masterpiece you should give a try.

Update: I was at work, and my co-worker got in the truck and said "what's that smell?" and then he rolled his eyes and said, "Tyler must have put an air freshener in here" ... There was no air freshener. Lol. So there's that 🤣 But I've also had a lot of people compliment me, particularly friends I meet up with or anyone that gets close to me or hugs me. One time in particular, my sister hugged me, and was like "Ooo you smell goood! What is that???". And my mom's friend also asked what I was wearing when she hugged me. So it definitely gets people's attention (:

amycline

I love unisex fragrances, but this one leaned too masculine on me. With that being said, it’s an INCREDIBLE fragrance.
The honey and tobacco are beautifully done and the longevity is insane. I sprayed it on a tester card before spraying it on my skin 3 days ago. I could smell it on my skin 10-12 hours later and the tester card, which I left in my car is still going strong. My car smells like the softest, smoothest, most luxurious amber.
This is a fragrance I want to surround myself with, just not personally wear if that makes sense.

KerriZ

Holy smokes this is a nearly photorealistic bouquet of dried tobacco leaves drenched in sweet honey. Very sticky sweet. midrange sillage and 6 to 7 hours of longevity. A honey gourmand lovers wet dream.

ASHRAF RAAFAT ADLY MIKHAI

Is this the Worst tobacco scent of all time or what?!
It's so bitter and dirty. Not even sweet honey!؟Jesus.!

Patj1994

A really really nice opening and mid ruined in the later dry down by a disgusting, synthetic oud note.

After a few hours, you’re left with nothing but vanilla and a “pencil shavings” smelling synthetic oud.

What a shame.

Still a “like” because the first few hours are amazing

onurdroid

It has strong raw honey at the beginning and it's settled down after 1 hour. But the honey note doesn't smeel like cheap, synthetic, overly sweet or syrupie. Pure quality organic honey i am talking about. Then tobacco appears. Same quality here. It's not ordinary tobacco or ashtray smell. It's high quality cigar leaf with dipped honey. Imagine if Che Guevara dropped some of highest quality Cuban cigar in the organic honey jar that would be smeel like this.

If you saw honey note in this and expecting sweet cologne like JPG Le Male Elixir, just it's not it.

I think this is the Guerlain's message to some designer or niche houses to obsessed with super sweet colognes. Boy's let we show you how it's done.

It's not uniqe and very expensive but it's pure quality.

chiragh

Tobacco Vanille with strong note of honey from Zoologist Bee.

yazzakasbah

I tested 9 l'Art et la matière parfums recently and Néroli outrenoir and Tobacco honey are my favourites. There's some other good ones which aren't a good fit for me. Too feminine mostly.

Tobacco honey fits in nicely in between two other favourites: Back to black and l'Air du désert Maroccain. These are the highest quality perfumes I own.
They also are among the most comforting, luxurious and are worth the price to me. These are the kind of perfumes that take a collection and the experience of wearing perfumes to the next level.
Tobacco honey is heartwarming and a joy to wear. Lasts all day long.
The tobacco and honey are perfectly blended and don't stand out.
It's strong but smooth, not too sweet but rich.
A joyful experience.

SaraMiriam8

This wasnt on my radar because i thought for sure I wasnt going to like it. Boy was i wrong.
This is absolutely delicious! I've been smelling my arm for hours and cant get enough.

Smells like the portuguese penha honey candy drops melted in your skin with a subtle combo of anise and tobacco. Ufff. Stunning and rich.

dcjimr

This perfume radiates quality. Rich tobacco that does not go ashy on my skin like some tobacco fragrances, mixed with a luscious raw honey. A little animalic, but not enough to turn me off. I can detect the oud in the dry down, but it's a beautiful creamy note mixed with the sandalwood. Projects and lasts like crazy. I think I need this.

ADNisHere

The dry down is a heaven.
Tobacco honey is a well put together Tobacco Vanille.
If Tom Ford want to make Tobacco Vanille parfum it will be Tobacco Honey.
Love it but the opening is too sweet and a bit cloying for some people, just wait the dry down.

Ihaggins

If you were an original fan of TF tobacco Vanille and want an updated, better performing version, get this! It’s expensive but it’s worth it if you’re a lover of this fragrance style. As others have mentioned, it’s not a super innovative fragrance. It’s almost like Guerlain said “I know we’re a little late to the party, but please allow us to show you how we would’ve done this”… Personally, I think they did a noticeably better job than Tom Ford did with Tobacco Vanille. If you like PDM Herod and/or Carlise, Red Tobacco, Amouge Journey Man, etc., you will most likely enjoy this one too. Just keep in mind, this is more so for the fragrance connoisseur who appreciates high quality and can tell the difference. If you could care less about quality and just want to smell good for as cheap as possible, go with one of the Middle Eastern clone houses or a oil. Because you probably won’t appreciate how much of a masterpiece this truly is and you’ll feel like you could’ve found a similar, yet much lower quality experience for a lot less money. And in this case, you’re probably 100% right. Because this has been done many times already. The only difference is Guerlain just does it better than what we’ve experienced thus far! So in that regard, it’s new.

If you want the sexiest, highest quality, best blended tobacco fragrance currently on the market, you can stop looking because you’ve found it! Did I mention it lasts forever!?

This is officially the only Tobacco fragrance I need in my collection. Even better than Naxos. It’s just really good and really high quality. It’s truly a masterpiece, to say the least. Make sure you smell it for yourself and don’t get lead astray by someone who isn’t a true fan of any of Tobacco Honey’s predecessors in the genre. If you dislike sweet tobacco fragrances like TF Tobacco vanille, you probably are waisting your time with this one. But if you love this type of profile; you’ll feel like you’ve found the “holy grail” sweet tobacco fragrance. Definitely my favorite release of 2023.

A cheaper alternative that doesn’t smell the same in any way, but is what I’d go with if I wanted the same dramatic olfactory affect, would be JPG LaMale Elixer. Fair warning ⛔️ it’s no where near as opulent as Tobacco Honey, yet it gives a similar vibe utilizing tobacco and honey accords. Very beautiful and the next best option, IMHO.

Zaca

A beehive load of honey (not your sweet, delicate fantasy honey, but deep, rich, dark realistic animalic honey), a tobacco plantation load of tobacco & an Aladdin's treasure of sesame (which contributes to the tobacco note) Rich and sticky with no subtlety. Smells awesome though. Can't wait to try it in winter.

FragheadMo

Opens up with a realistic honey, then comes the vanilla, sandaIwood and a light medicinal oud. I get no tobacco from this, it has to be tobacco leaves. Well made but not interesting nor very good to me. In the drydown it gets better though.

Like many intense gourmands , using it or testing it like a cologne would be a terrible idea.

In the honey note there are subtle nuances of; orange blossom, white flowers, cognac, fur-musk; all of them wrapped by the tobacco, tonka beans and sesame.

Whenever I want to apply it , I always use a few drops over the skin , never to the clothes.
Applying too much could be overwhelming and intrusive for sensitive noses.

This perfume is nocturnal but warmth , providing sweetness and depth.
Ideal for layering with white florals, aldehydes, woody and aromatics ( those that lack of sweet, creamy and spicy accords )

It is worthy for honey lovers , because the tobacco is used to balance the sweetness of this perfume.
So if you are looking for the ideal tobacco , then I would recommend Journey Man-Amouage.

Tobacco Honey was initially a love but upon further testing I can see why it’s a polarising scent.

Imagine a super strong yet realistic honey note combined with a loud in your face tobacco. For me it gets a little too cloying after a hour or so. I think I would’ve preferred a smoother tobacco note along with a more amped up vanilla.

This is the kind of fragrance I’d strictly reserved for cold weather, when I know I’ll be outside all day. Overall It’s still a solid scent but I struggle with the price and lack of versatility.

Love at first sniff!
Best creation of 2023 and TOP 3 in my perfume wardrobe.
Just love it! Very much!
Got a full bottle of this happiness at Christmas and I couldn’t be more happy. Strong, enormous perfume shadow follows after 2 sprays, stays on skin for days and stays in memory for months!
For sure will love those, who disappointedly loved MFK’s Absolue pour le soir and searched for another love to warm their hearts. Guerlain’s Tabacco Honey definetely does that!
10/10

@Vanian try Amouage Journey!

Vanian

Nothing new about that fragrance. For years I am trying to find my holy grail tobacco fragrance, had big hopes about that one, unfortunately this appeared to be the same style of almost everything what's around. From Guerlain (like Chanel as well) I expect unique, fragrances which pioneering the other brands, not vice versa, it seems this is not the case anymore. Sad.
The fragrance - it's true to the pyramid shown above, it has enormous longevity on skin, which is good, but the fragrance itself is nothing to make me want to spend my money 💰 on it. I'm sure there is audience for it, but that's not me. Sorry.

Fragaddict123

Definitely the fragrance of the year
Say what you want about the fragrance but the hardcore truth is it’s masterfully crafted and beautifully designed
It wears differently on all different surfaces such as (blotter - skin - clothes) a testament to its greatness and creativity
On card the honey was the most prominent and explosive note out of all and the rest comes following
On skin the tobacco pushes with all its might overcoming the rest of the notes
On clothes it’s more balanced after the honied opening with the vanilla practically running the show hand in hand with the rest of the notes
It’s not unique but it enough to demand respect
Performance is incredible more than what you want
Definitely the best fragrance of 2023 and looking forward it will definitely be a cult classic

1nexorable

I'd buy it for 150 but 380 is just ridiculous for this fragrance, especially when there's not enough tobacco for my liking

algebraist

While in another room of the Vendôme boutique, I could still smell the honey note whenever this nasty sweet confection was sprayed, attributable to the sweetness, dry amber materials and anisic facet triggering the awareness of scent, I imagine. Tobacco has so many facets and nuances, virtually none of which are showcased. It is insulting to real oud farmers to list oud for this fragrance, even if it is present in trace amounts, as there is no noticeable effect or note of oud. A vulgar and banal fragrance that will surely please those easily satisfied by sweetness.

Buvana

Smells divine and delicious 🤤
Sparkling honey.
The price though... LE SIGH

saho93

I get spiced wood honey. The honey comes on very strong in the opening, dominating everything. Then I think I get agarwood and subtle cloves. I am not sure I detect tobacco. But the sweetness of honey is quite present. I think it leans more male. Makes me think of a cigar bar, mahogany furniture, enjoying a glass of good cognac in winter and exchanging war stories.

I feel that this is a dense perfume better suited for night or colder months.

While this scent profile is not my preference, it is well executed. High-quality perfume.

Tincel

I'll right, I'll cave, although I'm so over the gourmand trend; this stuff is pretty damn good.

Joining honey and tobacco on their hay-like properties is quite witty indeed.

This scent is sweet, thick, and stands its ground. Worth a blind buy if the notes are up your alley.

Janini

I'm in love with the honey note in this fragrance and seem like people around me like it too. I got lot of complements for beautiful honey smell. The tobacco note here kind of dry and addictive. I truly love This collection art and materials for using the high quality ingredients. It wroth a full bottle and one of the best tobacco honey fragrances in the market in my opinion.

Manda88

Tobacco is one of my favorite notes in perfumery. I was excited to try this because i’m in love with Black to Black and I thought it would be similar. Spoiler Alert - it’s not. This is tooth-achingly sweet. The projection and longevity are suburb, but I don’t want it on me. Or anyone I know.

Darkrain91

Beautiful scent. I would say this is well blended but more sweet because of the honey. It is very strong, and the projection is soooo gooood. Wore it for 6 hours then pick up my kid from school and he was like, "why does it smell so good in here? Why does it smells like chocolate in here?" I was shocked he smell it too. Yes it is a strong one. It opens sweeet. I can smell a bit of sweetness on my skin and sometime it leans a bit masculine to me. I would say this is still unisex. But i would prefer this on a man than a girl. This fragrance last so long. I showered that night and it was still on me but it smells more masculine after i showered. I tried putting non scent lotion on me and the scent is still there. The next morning I wake up the scent is still there as well. This is amazing!!!!! Definitely would buy this scent for my husband and wear it once in a blue moon. It is a beautiful scent but hard for me to pull off though. It is not an easy grab and go scent. But it is beautfiul and I am glad I get to sample it first. I enjoy the scent Naxos from xerjoff, Layton PDM and Grand Soir from mfk alot. This one will be one of my new scent that I enjoy smelling on mens. But don't take my words, definitely sample it first before you buy.

Face

Gives slightly more honey/ molasses vibes over the tiny hint of Tobacco it leaves. It's a very straight forward Tobacco & Honey scent, nothing more..nothing less. 6/10

sabsizzle

Wow this fragrance is BOOM in your face sweet honey. I get a hint of tobacco as well, but not as much as I do from tom ford's tobacco vanille. It is very strong... I made a poor choice spraying four different Guerlain fragrances on different parts of my wrist/hand/arm, I smell insane, and the Tobacco Honey is what is overpowering the remaining three that I tried (Neroli Outrenoir, Angelique Noir and Rose Cherie). It smells nice, I do like it, however it smells more like what I would expect from a candle. Of the four I tried & listed above, I would say Tobacco Honey came in last place.

rbalkris

Powdery sweet woody gourmand that has a happy and pleasant vibe and will find a lot of appreciation in these current times for the warmth and comfort it provides. The scent opens with a syrupy honey note with slight anise and clove in the background. The heart is a confection like mix of vanilla, sesame, tonka and almost undetectable tobacco. The perfume settles on a bed of synthetic musk and woody notes. The unisex scent has moderate to strong sillage and good longevity. Unlikely to offend anyone and easy to win over hearts, but many like this exist in the market for a fraction of the price. Enjoy!

will_i_smell

To maplesyrup....
No. This does not smell like Chergui...at all. The Lutens fragrance is very much centered around the hay accord and, to me, was very dry and off putting. This, the Guerlain, is a very smooth, tobacco and honey. Kind of in the vain of a tobacco found in the Zaharoff Signature Tabac. Very smooth, semi-sweet, wearable and appealing honey tobacco, with more of a focus on the honey. There are many who are decanting it on the various FB fragrance pages.

kevju876

honey note is quite saccharine and overly sweet, not my particularly favorite type of honey - barely get the tobacco note but the honey is just too overpowering in the opening, and frankly don't understand the hype 7.5/10

texasfreedom

If you have Tobacco Vanille you don’t need this
But if you want a stronger OG version of Tobacco Vanille then grab this.

hollandbri

Was walking through Bellagio yesterday and quickly ran into the Guerlain boutique. Sprayed this on a blotter and threw it in my bag for later. Tobacco honey is quite strong. Realistic honey note with a green tobacco. The dry down is faintly reminiscent of Gourmand Coquins. Maybe the cacao? It’s nice, but I don’t think I could wear this. Has a screechy honey quality I just don’t vibe with. This would make a lovely candle.

The Wolf

Very nice honey tobacco fragrance as advertised. Well made, classy, and relaxing. Smooth and not brash in any way. The opening is a delicious non animalic honey with coco, a tiny amount of anis, and perhaps a slight wheat facet. Shortly thereafter the tobacco arrives and it's also very smooth, and not damp or dank in any way. My first time wearing and I can't speak for performance, but seems solid so far. I don't really pick up any oud on my skin.

The drydown reminds me of TF Tobacco Vanille with added honey. Its well made and I like it, but I'm not compelled to grab a bottle. They had a 6.8oz for 570 I believe. Great fragrance if you're looking for a user friendly and well made tobacco scent. If you already have niche tobacco fragrances, you don't really need this one unless you're a Guerlain fanatic. I've worn tobacco vanille for a decade and I think it is a 10/10 (vintage formula). This losses a little bit of points in my book because it doesn't stand out far enough from TFTV, and isn't bringing anything super different to the table of high end tobacco fragrances.

Scent 8/10
Performance TBD

Update: I could smell strong cacao from this in the shower 12 hours later, and it's still faintly present after the shower. Astonishing longevity 10/10

WuZi8465

Overall a soliid tobacco-honey/amber combination that gets right what it needs to get right. I see some people saying this is ultra sweet but compared to something like Tobacco Vanille I find this to be more tame in sweetness with a greater focus on the green aspects of the tobacco accord. All in all no where near as sweet as some people online claim it is. Is it a unique scent? No. but it is another tobacco fragrance I can recommend over something truly overpriced like Le Labo's Tabac

A_Ferrera

I'm not sure if this is a necessary addition into the line, I get animalic honey and an astringent oud, there's something here that is SICKLY.

Not worth it imo but it's your money so whatever!

EDIT: This is nauseating.

perfumejunkie77

Is Tobacco Honey terribly original? No, not really. Is it good? Yes, very. It promises everything in its name: tobacco and honey. That's it. That's all I get. From the very beginning, dry tobacco leaves and gooey honey mingle and dance with each other with honey slowly taking the lead. It's a sticky thick honey, one drizzled over beeswax. It leans more sweet than animalic. Luckily, the tobacco accord keeps it from getting cloying. Only later do I pick up a small hint of sesame and tonka but they both stay quiet in the background. Unfortunately, that's all that stays quiet. It's a LOUD scent, almost as if Guerlain was trying to appeal to the "beast-mode mob". It's a little vulgar for me. I don't agree with the comparisons to Tabacolor from Dior (although I do think these two houses are constantly stealing from each other). Tabacolor is more tobacco/caramel combo. And I'll admit, Tabacolor is gorgeous and I prefer it to TH. At the end of the day TH doesn't make me jump with joy like their exquisite Iris Pallida extrait (recently released) or the ever-so-elegant Cuir Beluga. But if you're a tobacco/honey fan, this won't disappoint. It's balanced beautifully and the quality is top notch. As expected from the great Guerlain.

My Boudoir

The opening is pissy honey, I regretted spraying it on my skin. The scent that lingered on my shirt the next day was not bad, but there’s zero originality.
Recent Guerlain offerings smell like your average mainstream perfume.

AlexaO22

Stunning and quite sexy ! 🩷.

Although not a dupe, I do get the comparison with TF TV and Tobacolor, for they do share some similarities. More so to Tobacolor since TV doesn't have honey. Take Tobacolor, amp the honey 10 fold, and you get Tobacco honey. There's A LOT of honey in this, but it's beautifully blended. Sweeter than Tobacolor but not cloying. One might think that that would make it lean fem, but on me it's quite the opposite . Unisex but leaning masculine for the first 3 hours or so. After that, it softens (for lack of a better term) and becomes perfectly unisex like Tobacolor. I'm not the biggest fan of oud, and I don't get any oud here. It lasts forever and has great projection for hours. Perfect for fall and winter 🍁🍂⛄☕, and a compliment getter for sure ! 👍

LightOfJoy

First it smells of tobacco leaves and honey. Then it smells identical to the opening of Kayali Lovefest Burning Cherry. Then it smells like straight ambroxan (which is supposed to be oud now).

nsquared

To me, it smells nothing like Tobacco Vanille. Not even close. Predominantly a honey scent. Very strong … very potent. Has some similarities to Back to Black, but only in passing.

While overall pleasant (I’m sure I’ll have reactions to my next comment)… in passing, when getting whiffs, I’m reminded of bug spray. I’m sure not everyone will have this association, but wanted to mention it.

Because of this, I just don’t find it worth the price. Of course, as scent is subjective, I know others will fall in love and treasure it as it is very well crafted.

Enrium

Tobacco Honey smells exactly as its name suggests - smoky tobacco underscored by honeyed sweetness. It draws obvious comparisons to Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille and Dior Tobacolor, both being high-quality (and expensive!) sweet tobacco scents. The emphasis on honey here sets TH apart. I adore a good honey note - it adds rich sweetness that marries particularly well with amber. I think that honey as a note is underrated. Here, it is dominant.

TV opens with rich, sticky-sweet honey from initial spray. Toasted, herbal tobacco follows closely, fulfilling the name. It is quite spicy, which complements the title accord beautifully. Clove is quite prominent initially and anise adds a soft, sweet, aromatic edge.

Liberal amounts of tonka bean adds body as it develops, adding sweet-spicy Play Doh-like goodness, but it perhaps would have been better if it was more restrained.

It becomes woody and increasingly dry as it dries down, with the tobacco becoming increasingly smoky in the later stages. The honey remains prominent until final fade, and I confess I find it a little cloying after a while - I have had enough of it by the late stages. The performance is great - sillage is strong and longevity is long-lasting.

Perfectly unisex, this is a bold, opulent, edgy scent for evening wear. It is a cold-weather scent, best applied sparingly. A nice example of the genre, but I prefer Tobacolor. Objectively good regardless. 4/5.

Sleimanaz

Roaring Radcliffe is unfortunately discontinued, but Back to Black is still there… This new tobacco fragrance from Guerlain is very good, but not new… lack of originality and creativity

Sunlit Diamond

Luscious, just scrumptiously beautiful. I will preface with: I don't usually like honey scents! But here it just works. It's even extra sticky honey-forward in the opening, then the tobacco just pulls back the honey curtains throughout the day and you end up with a spicy but still sweet and SEXY fragrance that lingers forever. It's just stunning. Then something within me begged me to layer it with Kayali Musk 12 (not directly on top of each other but alternating spritz points), and my life is now complete. Perfect for a dressed-up date night in cold weather, just wow.

aaronmilic

Went out of my way to try this today as I love tobacco fragrances. Unfortunately, this is a honey fragrance. If there's tobacco here, it is very, very subtle. This is medicinal honey and that's about it. To compare this to Tobacco Vanille or Tobacolor, which are both masterpieces, is really stretching the imagination. I can't imagine anyone wanting to smell like this and honestly wouldn't want to smell this on anyone. I let the guy at the Byredo counter smell the sample and he was also not impressed.

I have to say, I try and try again to wedge some Guerlain into my collection as people go on about the house as if it's something special and well... I have yet to find anything from this house that really appeals to me.

grandeur

Hmmm. This smells so medicinal to me -- like honey cough drops. The tobacco kinda takes a back seat in this fragrance. This is a dense, powdery cloud of spiced honey. Well blended. Perfectly unisex. Does bear some resemblance to Tobacolor, not really TV. Tobacolor takes a smokier turn, though. Like, but not a love. Performance, as I find with most Tobacco based frags, is excellent.

10Ps

I keep hearing this smells like Tobacco Vanille or Naxos by Xerjoff, but I believe this is an absolutely Honey Based scent , very realistic dense honey accord with light Tobacco accord beneath it.

Nearest match to this from my memory is Kilian Back to black a very dense Honey.

Try before you buy, as this scent is special and not easy to use.

Cheers

NOSEYBODY

So I received a Decant of Tobacco Honey from a friend tonight. I eagerly sprayed my hand to give a first impression.

I'm going to be honest. There were times where I caught wafts & could liken this fragrance to 3 other fragrances.

1. Bee.
2. Tobacolor.
3 Tobacco Vanille.

When I thought I was smelling Bee, it was in the exact same moment where I thought I smelled Tobacolor.

But as the night wore on & my wearing dried down further I picked up on the Vanilla & Clove notes, & thats what reminded me of Tobacco Vanille.

Now, there are people mentioning Naxos. It doesnt smell like Naxos at all. But way deep in the dry down when all of the notes are faint & airy I do pick up on a similar nuance. But its not even worth mentioning Naxos as a fragrance it smells like.

Overall Tobacco Honey rests somewhere between Bee, with less authenticity to its Honey note, & Tobacolor with better Spices & less Tobacco.

Is Tobacco Honey worth its price ? Not in my opinion. But the performance is Ungodly.

HeartlessWolf

I received a sample of Tobacco Honey with the purchase of another fragrance from Guerlain & I'll admit that I tried very hard to like it over several weeks.

Something about this fragrance gives me a headache. I have Xerjoff Naxos, Amouage & a plethora of other Tobacco Fragrances & Tobacco Honey for me this isn't in the same ballpark.

milan.alleman

So I bought Guerlain L'homme ideal EDP from the Guerlain website. This was one of the tester I got with my purchase.
I woud definitely not recommend this perfume to anyone. This dirty honey fragrance smelt so bad. It was so nauseating. Longevity is very good or in my case... made it even worse. This perfume lasts a long time. So the perfume is definitely well made but it lacks a pleasing smell in my opnion. I didn't get any compliments wearing this one. Even people asking what smelled so bad? Was it from outside? Nope not all. It's this very very expensive edp that's so unpleasant. I smelled a honey amber filled smell with maybe a hint of tobacco. But in the worst way possible.
I don't know if you could layer this perfume with another one to make it more bearable. Maybe that is the only option left. Definitely not a blind buy. Either you love this one or you hate it. You can guess which category I fall in.. This is all my opinion. Sorry if I offended anybody.

Moutaindewz

Noting special.
No as good as current fragrance from the line in my opinion.

but i know why people so hype with this fragrance.
People love amber

rosequeen

Not quite a scrubber, but working on it. Yes, you can put honey and tobacco together......but why would you? I see a lot of people on this site like it though, and I was only given a sample vial, so I'm not smarting from paying actual money for this. I'm just warning everyone there is way too much tobacco in this. It needs more sandalwood maybe. Guerlain is trying to put out a wide variety of fragrances though, for which I applaud them.

amanda0727

Pure honey scent..very sweet with only slight smokiness from tobacco. I think I was expecting more, but Guerlain's forte seems to be providing simplistic scents with the highest quality and that is what you will get here. Overall this is too heady for me to wear.

MajaGordon

The perfume that makes all other tobacco and honey scents obsolete. Ridiculous. Perfect. (I think this is what TF Soleil Brulant tried to be and failed - the scent of a sun-cult high priestess).

AmberAura

I got a sample of this with a recent purchase from Guerlain, and I AM IN LOVE. Holy sexy! I didn't know I loved tobacco so much, because I personally disliked the TF tobacco vanilla-- but here we are. It is immediately yummy upon first spray. Warm and mellow and sweet-- but not TOO sweet. Then as it mixed with my skin, it just got sexier and softer. I kept thinking I bet Charlie Hunnam or some other delicious man's neck smells like this (lol). So, to me, it is unisex but leans more male... But that's *also* why I think it works on the right woman. I think you have to be a confident sort of earthy vibe to carry it off. A woman who knows she's something, a Lauren Bacall type.
Also, unlike the Allegoria line (which I love), this one LASTS. I sprayed it on both myself and my husband at bedtime, and it was still there this morning on the skin! Softened and warm.
++++++++++++++++
Just got my first full size for our 29th Anniversary! Every single thing, from the packaging to the personalized bottle to the rich color of the juice-- is perfect. I've had a sample for a bit, and every single time I wear it, I get compliments from men AND women. I'll wear this forever, as long as they keep making it. IN LOVE

NickZee

The tobacco note in this is a bit too oaty for me to enjoy it. I feel like I am eating oats covered in honey. Perhaps it is the sesame note. For $700 really what can Guerlain do to make its wearer happy? These fragrance houses make a rod for their own back when they price things like this. But until recently Guerlain had done amazing staying out of this space.

Edit: as I write this an hour after spraying, a person has changed seats on the train to get away from this cloud of sesame honey oats.

salespo612

Nice but unnecessary addition to a genre that is saturated with well-made sweet tobacco fragrances. Seems Guerlain is straying from innovation and creativity in favor of scent profiles they know “can’t miss.” Can’t say I blame them but the pool of brands not chasing every penny is dwindling

perseeque

So Guerlain looked at all those millions of tobacco frags around and said "uuhh beaches, we gonna show your the best sweet tobacco you've ever smelled" and they did it! It's just all the standard gourmand tobacco perfumes made perfect and vibrant in its core, the honey note is so cosy and edible, the tobacco is spicy and and lively. Perfection.

JuliaLovesMitsouko

Of course this is overpriced; it's Guerlain! My favorite house I will add. I loved this on first try. It is warm, sweet and very slightly spicy. I smell pure natural honey throughout and it does trail up to my nose for hours. The tobacco is also there at all times. This has really great longevity and is on the stronger side for sure. I own many honey perfumes and this is not similar. Bee is far more "florescent, ultra real" I would say, a very thick, pollen laden honey with a few bees stuck to it, while this is just the most natural, sweet, caramel like honey imaginable. I do not agree it smells like Tobacco Vanille, but that's just me. Perfect for Fall and Winter and now I need a few more samples to get me through. If you like honey it is a must try.

ckorp8

To me this is 90% honey with the rest shared between the other notes. The tobacco is really light here and vanilla almost nonexistent. Quite surprised it’s reminded some of TF Tobacco Vanille which is strong in both tobacco and vanilla. This to me is more closely like Zoologist Bee with extra notes. But all in all, it’s still a love for me.

fuzzypeach

Tobacco Vanille into hours and hours of chocolate ice cream.

FragranceZoe

VERY STRONG RAW HONEY NOTE. This is 70% honey and 30% tobacco but a nice sweet tobacco. I don’t like tobacco fragrances ie red tobacco 🤮 and a few others but Guerlain done it right with this one.

9.5/10 - scent

11/10 - longevity (sprayed it on the back of my hand at neiman Marcus @3:00 pm, washed hands about 3 times throughout the day, take a shower before bed, it’s now 9:53 am and I can’t still smell it 2 inches away from my hand 🤯🤯🤯)

4/10 - sillage (12/10 STRONGGG scent bubble around 2 feet but doesn’t project. If you walk past people they will smell you for sure but this wouldn’t necessarily fill up a room)

sunnyviolets

Smells exactly like those honey wafers you might eat before Christmas Eve dinner.

Richeyso

I detected it is very musky and linear fragrance.

VETTIVAER

From my escapades with l'Art et la Matière collection so far, all I've noticed is that each one seems to actually feature solid doses of one or two natural materials, which is unique for bigger houses. Don't get me wrong - Guerlain is one of the best, the way they stick to the French style, maintain the old legends while continuing to innovate. However, for the aforementioned reasons, the l'A&lM collection always felt a little unfinished to me... but I think this is on purpose, as the name suggests.

Back to tobacco honey: with this one, I perceived a healthy dose of beeswax absolute, phenylacetic acid and acetates, a tiny amount of tobacco absolute (restricted due to nicotine presence), sage, other herbal absolutes, vanillin and coumarin.

The opening was excellent - warm honey and hay. However, within an hour it seemed to break down into sweet wet leaves, like the kind you step on during the autumn rain, but mixed with honey.

This is unfortunately an issue with tobacco accords, it's really hard to get right for extended periods of time. Forget all the other nonsense listed as base notes. There is no oud or sandalwood. Cloves and vanilla are components of a classical tobacco accord.

As for the cost, I didn't think there was sufficient value for a $400 bottle (albeit a beautiful one).

Flamma

It should be named honey spices, very realistic honey infused with the clove note from TF TV, there's hardly any tobacco or oud detectable to my nose, lovely scent but I don't find it very wearable.

SalivatingSoul-stice

Not a fan of it. This is similar to montale oud tobacco with it being slightly better. In fairness, this fragrance does offer you honey and tobacco and co-exist well but it's been done so many times.

Update: This has pretty much the same tobacco Xinu Ummo has which I thought was interesting.

Dixieland Delight

Absolutely beautiful.

Rich honey, sharp dry tobacco, sesame, oud.

Very strong, very rich, smells expensive and literally smells impressive.

I don't get TV.

This smells nothing like montale oud tobacco. I have a bottle of both. Nothing like it.

10/10

Guerlain gets alot of price hate, but this line is beautiful.

vbs221

This smells 90% similar to Al Haramain Amber Oud Tobacco Edition, which is basically Tobacco Vanille with a huge dose of dried tobacco leaves.

I’m a huge fan of Guerlain, and generally not a fan of tobacco, but man, this has the worst kind of tobacco—wet dried leaves! The result is something frankly headache inducing and very cloying. And the immense projection makes it really obnoxious. This should have been something much more airy.

A much, much better alternative to this and Tobacco Vanille is L’Occitane Eau Des Baux. Ironically, I’d say that smells more like a Guerlain than this does.

Dramaloladiva

Absolutely and undeniably Beeeautiful!!!!!
It’s Guerlain, what else is there to say??
Honey, sweet and dripping at first, and though it is there the duration of the wear, tobacco comes in as well, a little later, and oh. my. goodness. 🍯🍯🍯🍁🍁🍁 that tobacco leaf is so beautiful 🤩
Contrary to what others have said, I think it is perfectly unisex. On my skin, it’s neither masculine nor feminine. Perfect for the cold weather and the holidays.
Longevity is phenomenal and projection is potent. The price?? 💀💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸 it’s a Guerlain, so that’s that….

Harry Shake

Guerlain’s latest release perfectly timed for winter is very simple and very literal. Tobacco Honey. That’s all this pretty much is. But that does not make it simple or boring.

There is an undeniable link to Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille. However despite sharing the same DNA, they are different. TV is fruitier and more powdery.

Tobacco Honey opens up with a thick syrupy photorealistic honey. The SA at Guerlain told me that real honey was used in this composition, make of that what you will. Wet and wild, the honey is front and centre for a decent amount for the opening. As it starts to develop, the tobacco starts to come through. Think tobacco leaves or an unlit cigar. It’s not as dry or spicy as some tobaccos can be. In the mid as the honey settles down, the tobacco amps up so that they are on par with each other. The woods and spices also come through and compete with the tobacco and honey in the base. I don’t detect any oud real or synthetic, maybe it’s there in the background keeping things together.

This is a masculine leaning unisex scent, probably more masculine than TV due to the lack of fruits.
The scent is warming, inviting and cozy. It’s perfect for date night. This stuff is strictly for the colder months, night time only, even spring may be too warm. Could see this do well in outdoor settings.

Performance is supposed to be nuclear. I tried it in store on skin with 7/8 sprays. I ended up choking out my GF especially in the car later that day. 4 sprays max. So yes it is a good performing Guerlain which is relatively rare these days. A lot of people get overwhelmed when they spray this on skin or paper and dive their noses in. This is definitely one of those scents that should be smelt in the air.

Because of the scent profile this could make for an excellent base scent to layer with oriental scents. Woody spicy. This could be used to sweeten up something you find too spicy or dry. I cannot wait to layer this with Tom Ford’s Oud Wood. Will be picking up a FB shortly.

aspirina

This scent is so potent. In the first couple of minutes the tobacco notes remind me of Mancera Red Tobacco. It is powerful and just a couple of drops project like a beast. Soon the honey note, spices and woods increase their presence, it reminds me a lot of MAC Velvet Teddy which is a subtle more honeyed version of TF Tobacco Vanille...but the quality and strenght of Tobacco Honey is superior.
I am impressed with the quality of ingredients, potency and longevity of this scent. I think I might need a full bottle soon. But also, I suspect I might give it to my husband because this scent would be just marvelous on a man.

I don't see this as kin to either Tobacco Vanille or Bee except insomuch as it's generally in the honey/tobacco genre of fragrances. Starts off with a sticky, sweet, smoky honey that is definitely present but has a transparent sheen. "Tobacco" in this to me doesn't read as real tobacco absolute, but an accord of earthy notes juxtaposed with sweet coumarin and a measured dose of cotton candy ethyl maltol--just a hint though! I imagine that fans of AMEN Havane and the AMEN flanker lineage in general would enjoy this. Though it's not a total smell alike to those, it feels very much in the family. There is a definite oud accord in the base, and it feels as tempered and well-integrated as Oud Nude. In fact, if this were called "Oud Honey" or "Candied Oud" (Oud Confiture?) it would've been perfectly at home in the Guerlain Oud line. There is an intriguing salty/savory note that I wouldn't have read as sesame if it wasn't listed (and I'm not sure I do read it as sesame even so). The final whispers of this scent are of a low but persistent sandalwood aromachem with nucleur longevity. It kind of reminds me of the sandalwood accord that remains at the base of 190 Ans/Imagine. A totally wearable and competent scent that doesn't break new ground. I will enjoy my sample and probably will spritz it for cozy winter nights in, but I don't need a bottle.

I NEED TO HAVE THIS 👏! If you’re a fan of Xerjoff Naxos, Mugler Pure Havane, and TF Tobacco Vanille, I think this will be an absolute knockout for you. At first spray, it def gives me Naxos vibes. This is an *extremely* sticky sweet scent, thanks to the honey and vanilla. It’s slightly powdery as well, which makes the honey feel more realistic (think honey & beeswax). However, the tobacco is just as strong as the honey note. The tobacco here is reminiscent of sweet piped tobacco, not the not the cigarette/smoky kind. I do get some spices (like cloves) in the background, but the main stars are definitely the powdery sticky sweet honey and tobacco. As it gets to the far dry down, it starts to smell more like Zoologist Bee (think floral powdery honey & beeswax) and the tobacco dies down just a tad.

I find this perfume to be *extremely* strong, so I don’t think performance will be an issue here. If I had money, I’d totally buy this. It might just be my new fave tobacco fragrance 😭 (JK - my forever love will always be Spicebomb Extreme). In my opinion, this is totally unisex. I can easily see women and men equally rocking the hell out of this, but I’m the kind of gal that likes to wear tobacco fragrances like Tobacco Vanille, Naxos, Herod, and Spicebomb Extreme & Infared — so I guess, take that for what you will.

This would be an amazing addition to a fall wardrobe. Smoky air and honeyed tea in the morning of crisp fall air. If honey and tobacco are loves of yours then look no further than Guerlain’s newest offering. It’s incredibly straightforward it’s all sticky honey and cigar. The cigar is In its raw unlit form. This reminds me of smelling my ex husband’s humidor next to a honeypot. There’s the slight oily sensuality from the sesame and a nice smidge of Oud give a tiny bit of edge. I don’t particularly like tobacco or honey in a fragrance and I find this incredible and elegant.

jassca99

I have longer thoughts but it’s basically been said. To keep it simple, Guerlain was truthful about raw materials for this line because Tobacco Honey is the sprayable version of the honey bear, especially in the first moments of the opening blast, with raw tobacco leaves joined afterwards. The rawness of the tobacco and woodiness makes this unisex leaning masculine to me. More masculine than TF Tobacco Vanille which I could wear and honestly has a different sweetness with its prominent dried fruits and vanilla. Tobacco Vanille also smells like it has honeyed tobacco while this smells like sweet raw honey mostly and tobacco separately if that makes sense, with the sesame subtly maintaining the savory kick. Zoologist Bee takes realistic to another level and eventually becomes animalic as it dries down, like the beehive with surrounded pollinated plants; slightly pissy. This is very nice though and well made. Would make for a great present as it’s substantial and performs well.

OnyxLotus

Realistic honey dominant scent with tobacco until the late dry down which introduces the vanilla, woods, and spices.

Beautiful honey scent but it lacks a certain depth that I was hoping for, mainly more tobacco. Many comparisons to TV, but once again I disagree. TV has a drastically different wearing experience, being a creamy vanilla with potpourri cinnamon clove Christmas spice. HT is ALL about honey until 2hours later and even then it still doesn’t smell likeTV despite the other notes becoming more prominent.

zant

This is a very straightforward honeyed tobacco, and an absolutely beautiful one. The honey smells so realistic, and the drydown is so rich, warm and creamy. The oud is completely absent on my skin. For me, that's a very good thing, but if you are an oud lover you may find that disappointing.

I can see the comparisons with Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, but to me, Tobacco Honey feels much warmer.

DeniseGuerlainLover

This is the most beautiful, incredible fragrance I have ever smelled. I didn't like it at first but I tried it again last night and found it very beautiful. You have to be careful applying it as it is very strong.

Update: After wearing it for a few days, I have fallen in love and will be ordering a full bottle soon. On my skin, it is well blended and the honey nor the tobacco is overpowering, it's just right and the dry down makes me swoon. Every phase is as beautiful as the last and I spend a lot of time breathing in the glorious fragrance that surrounds me. It lasts a long time. I can spray it on early evening and it's still there when I wake up in the morning. I am very excited for this one.

Gourmandgirll

This is the best tobacco fragrance I’ve ever smelled

uno

I tested Tobacco honey on my skin.
First 1hour tobacco and honey, then honey.High quality honey.I wander how they make this scent without honey.

If you want to be dipped in honey, try this one.
I want little bit more smokey tobacco or anything but honey.

DenM

Undeniable Guerlain quality. The dry down is dreamy, calming, comforting and sweet. The opening leans towards honey more so than tobacco. I can understand the comparison with tobacco vanille from others, to me this fragrance is different than tv, I own both. Tobacco honey is smoother, well rounded and yeah…lots of honey.
IIt is indeed pricey but the fragrance lasts forever and I truly enjoy it. Silliage is also outstanding. Better suited for colder weather.

Moonriver212

This has a niche frag quality to the blend imo.
I get the comparison to Tobacco Vanille, the tobacco accord is very similar, but the rest of it is quite different. This is warmer, while TV is more smooth.
I get some honey but to me, the tobacco is overpowering. I have been to a family friend’s tobacco farm and it smells just like it. Overwhelming tobacco smell.
Zoologist Bee is one of my favorite perfumes and the comparison got me excited, but I can’t draw any similarity to it at all, to my disappointment.
I’m not sure if there is something wrong with my batch but the description everyone is saying is very different than my experience. The tobacco is harsh and very dry and this is not at all sweet. It is a great scent but I’m still not sure if I like it yet (I absolutely do not hate it, though). I will try again later in the fall as it is still quite warm right now where I live.

Frabra88

Incredible.
Simply incredible evocative work.
This is the smell of your sweetheart hair, in the sun...smelling of honey. The smell of an hay camp, full of chamomile, peaceful....something beautiful happened there.
This is the smell of a warm, spicy honey infusion drinked in the comfort of home, in the quite arms of your lover.

It is incredible to me because it is that evocative. It surely has an artistic, niche aura about it. I was expecting something more masculine and en vogue instead it is artistic and full of intresting facets.

Opening is warm, very warm and intense, this tabacco is slightly dry, blonde and not boozy or cherry tinged. It is smothered in yellow honey, not sticky or sugary but intense, warm, as if liquefied on a flame, it sits in between a raw sweetness and something slightly animalic. There is no urinal component in this honey, no indoles either but there is something incredibly carnal. The spicy undertone of clover tinges the tabacco, there is something reminiscent of hay and even of chamomile.
Anise, sesame and tonka bean are blended to perfection, and dosed to perfection. Their blend is seductive, but the result still reassuring. I like this use of sesame note a lot, seedy maybe but also powdery, lending consistency to the fragrance (no gourmand stickiness for me about this sesame).

The evolution is calm and steady, honey fading in to tonka but never disappearing. Then there is a sea of vanilla, high quality for sure, and like the honey it is a type of vanilla that smells very refined and unique. All of this lives on a base of clean and creamy oud, intense but balanced, mixed in with a strong ambery base.

I think it is an unisex fragrance, the mood is relaxing for sure but invested of a peculiar sensuality. The sensuality of intimacy.
It is the fragrance that surprised me the most in the new autumnal realise I choose to explore.
Layered with Zara Spell Caramel it is the stuff of which autumnal fairytale are made.

Lasting power and sillage are autstanding. Great fragrance for sure. It has a gourmand allure but it is not a gourmand, it is 10 times more refined then that.

Whf

Forget Naxos and JPG Elixir this is the ultimate honey fragrance. Smells like straight up honey with little hints of tobacco in the background love this.

Tee

so yummy! This creation is vanilla dripping in amber colored natural honey with hint of dried spicy tobacco leaves. the tobacco facet almost reminds me of unlit Indonesian keretek cigarettes.

this one is potent and long lasting, even on my dry skin in hot humid weather.

Babeshka

I am usually not a Guerlain girl but this one is the best I tried lately. It’s honnnnnnneyyyy first and then it’s tabaccoooo
but very mild, minimal. It’s very comforting and the staying power is tremendous.I first sniffed it @ Bergdorf and it “omg it’s good quality smell of honey”. So realistic.12 hours later I still can fill it a bit but it’s balanced and blended. If you can afford get it,it’s awesome. For fall and winter it’s super good.

FragBoy Stewie

First (possibly pre-mature) impressions:
The opening felt like I'd dropped a jar of honey on me...nothing else but sweet, rich, dense honey. The tobacco shows itself after maybe 10-15mins or so, but it still hides behind a thick veil of honey. While I'd absolutely loved the authentic honey accord in the opening, the scent didn't quite capture my attention even as it started to settle.
In my limited time with the scent, I didn't get the TV comparison. Even if it does dry down to something resembling the TV scent profile, I'm not sure that it'd be something I'd want given that TV is still around and still performs quite well.

Will sample and test through the colder months before posting my final thoughts. Cheers!

andrewatic

Oh my… I’m a Guerlain fan, but this is the first one I genuinely dislike. This fragrance has two distinct parts: a very cheerful, sweet realistic honey beginning, and a nondescript dull and not so pleasant mishmash of woody notes finish.
These two parts are so incohesive that they could almost constitute two separate fragrances. I would prefer this composition to be created as “one” cohesive story from beginning to an end.
Besides, Guerlain has a better take on tobacco to offer than this unnecessary thing, namely Heritage.

SmellAlive

I was prepared to bash the comparison with TF tobacco vanille, but after about 2 hours of dense polyfloral honey it does indeed turn into tv. Unfortunately, since I would have liked to praise it for originality. The start of the fragrance does its own thing, it does not resemble other honey forward scents like Bee and it has a lot of power, however it is just honey, smooth, well-blended, simple honey. And it goes strong so you better like honey in perfumes. Alas, after that it does resemble tom ford's classic tobacco vanille which is a bit of a let down for me as I would have expected something more. Is it exactly like tv? No, but it resembles the profile to such an extent that if you know it you won't think of anything else. Considering this and the high price point of private edition Guerlain's I would say, for me, this is a pass. Especially when you have more elegant and original choices for warm sweet scents in this line-up like tonka imperiale or sdv. The strongest argument for the fragrance is that it has amazing performance that most Guerlain fragrances lack. These are my two scents, cheers!

hsiangchi.huang

Very heavy on the syrupy sweet honey note. Tobacco peaks out later on and plays the subordinate position. I get some dry cinnamon/amber/tonka notes in the background as well. But overall, it’s mostly honey.

Une Belle Prunelle

Opens with a huge blast of honey. Then tobacco slowly comes in and the fragrance settles. It’s very linear after the first 5 minutes on my skin. The quality is undeniable, but the scent is a bit too linear for me, it lacks depth. Great performance.

st1341

I bought this yesterday.
I really love tobacco parfum.
Side Effect, Herod, Naxos, Tobacco Vanile etc.
But I think this masterpiece is the best.
So gorgeous, soft and really nice well done
If you are a real tobacco addict, please buy asap
Thank you Delphine, for happy fall and winter with it.

Juslife01

Guerlain’s Tobacco Honey is exactly like what its name refers to. A huge spoon of golden mouthwatering honey drizzled over tobacco leaves. The honey is so realistic that you won’t complain about its sweetness. And the tobacco part is just like Tobacco Vanille. Minus the sourness of cloves. But it’s more like a honey perfume. Cause the honey note is so strong and stole everyone’s thunder. Overall I think it’s a better version of Tobacco Vanille.

Yalcin05

Alright after testing it for 2 days I can say this is amazing. The name is correct it’s all about honey and tobacco. Altough the tobacco is not so screechy this is pure unisex.

The opening is the most beautiful and most realistic honey, like you can eat it right away! So gorgeous, intense and fresh honey, the bee on their logo is justified now!

There we go the mid.. tobacco comes alive, smokey, dry tobacco leaves packed in smoothened vanilla.. the more hours pass the more the vanilla shows up and the tobacco takes a back seat. It never fades, but it’s calming down.. like I said this is unisex and I’m glad it is.

In the very drydown the vanilla fades away and there you are left with some sweet honeyed tobacco on a sandalwood base. There is some oud, specially in the beginning you can get some of it, but it really doesn’t dominate it’s just there to give the smokey, and deep effect of the honey and tobacco. 10/10 for me as I love tobacco.

Comparison.. tobacco vanille is correct but it’s fortunately not so sickly sweet nor synthetic. Tobacolor.. don’t think so that’s a extreme smell of ash tobacco and caramel sugar candies..

Conclusion i love it, and can’t wait for the fall or winter. It projects heavily specially the first hours so be aware and sticks extremely on the clothes. Not original, but very very smooth.. you won’t find a better honey tobacco fragrance

Ornio

while I can understand Tobacolor as a point of comparison, it’s simply has too much Honey to be called similar. I prefer this over Tobacolor, and if I had to give a gender comparison I’d say this this is more feminine (but closer to unisex on the whole). Very nice, and with performance to match. Of course at this price point anything less than powerful performance would be highway robbery.

Edit: I see that people have said this reminds them of Tobacco Vannille and Bee, and I think that’s a great way of thinking about this.

Tshahb

Tested in the boutique today, on card and on my skin.

The opening seems delicate, but in fact this is super strong, heavy honey. It's VERY similar to Tobacolor, too close to warrant buying it, for me at least, as I already own the latter.

At home I put one on each arm and they're indistinguible. Perhaps Dior has a very slightly richer opening, but after an hour they're identical to my nose.

Cinnamonbuns

Smelled it and I almost fainted. This immediately transported me back to paris in the belle époque. You’re a muse for a penniless artist. You make your way to his studio in the evening avoiding the puddles dappled in golden light. Entering you smell his pipe, the wooden easels, the spicy flickers of paint, his glass of whisky. Undressing the curves of your carnal body as you position your self on the chaise longue. You see in his eyes how you inspire and delight. You whisper “paint me like one of your french girls”. This imprint of you and this time can now be found in a quiet wing of the Louvre.

doshka

Looks very intriguing, I'm wondering how this similar or close to Mugler Pure Havane or Xerjoff Naxos? checked the comments section hereunder & no one talked about it, this is weird since all these fragrances supposed to share the same vibes or DNA.

DeeGrayson718

Thanks to my guy Saul who is one of the many representatives over at the Guerlain located in Saks Fifth Avenue, I was truly honored to be meeting something truly reminiscent of an actual Honey Comb that sticks to the skin. Man I was honored to leave with some of those Guerlain scents and get the full experience. Can't wait until this thing is released for a full bottle.
Let me tell you though, off the bat I got a burst of straight natural Honey. As I rode my bike outside later for hours to come, home I were still pretty much a projection of what were a combination of Tobacco Vanille wrapped in a bed of natural Honey still. If I could give word or two to its sillage DNA, just think Busy Bees!

Yjinn

The opening is dry tobacco leaves dipped in spicy honey. Drydown is sweet tobacco oud. It's gorgeous and somewhat longlasting, but the price is just too much.

joov84

First Impressions notes:

It starts off with a chocolaty tone followed immediately by slightly smoky Tobacco and honey which is reminiscent of that found in Tobacco vanille. more dry though and not as sweet/sticky/syrupy/funky. Then, some cloves and tonka join in which give some similarity to musc ravageur a few hours after application. The tonka is a bit creamy and the honey/tobacco combination still present at that stage as they are the stars of this fragrance. there is only a small amount of vanilla to my nose. It then gradually gets more dry and woody due to the Sandalwood and a small amount of "oud"/cypriol, yet remaining on the creamy side.

Performance is very good. lasted til the next morning.
I love these bottles. could be my favourite bottles so far.

stephenmpx

Like a cross between Tobacco Vanille and Gold Knight. Not super original but it's very sexy. If i didnt already have those 2 I would be buying it but alas, it would feel redundant. Worth trying though!

zebra782

Floral ? really ? I mean that's gotta be a very special type of honey (accord) used here to be floral coz no combination of the other notes listed here - no matter how you look at it - can smell even remotely floral.
