Nicely done intimate and unisex fragrance. The citrus opening lasts until you blink only to refresh and wake your senses up. After that you get served one of the most beautiful and authentic green/oolong tea fragrances I have ever smelled. It's supported with a very light and creamy musk base. If only an edp version was available.

Scent profile - 7.5/10

I can never have enough light tea perfumes. This one falls somewhere in between Bvlgari and Hermes OY, a tad of the grassy maté from Duel, and a dash of light musk to make it last an acceptable amount of time. Not exciting, but what Goutal is? Lovely stuff. Very wearable.

I mean, its decent. I love osmanthus and green tea, so I should love this.
This reminds me of EXTRA herbal chewing gum. The longevity and sillage needs improvement. Its inoffensive and good for everyday wear. It's just not a perfume I love.

L’Ile au Thé (EDT)
()

L’Ile au Thé is very good offering from Goutal Paris usual.
However, I find this extra-ordinary long-lasting compare to the other EDT offering so far.

Do I love this, yes I do.
This is such a beautiful white tea with hint of honey and lemony slide.
That beautiful white tea opening stay longer than usual consider scent from light realm.

When it dry down, it stay intact as clean ambient.
That very pleasing. not really musky but a clean nice ambient.

Gorgeous and beautiful
This is out-standing offering from Goutal Paris

Score 9.5/10
(Best impression so far, as good as Eau'd Haiden EDP - I score this higher because Tea accord is harder to make)
Projection : Soft for about hour, become closer to the skin after that point of time.
Longevity : 3.30 hrs. reach final dry down both on cloth and skin.
Classification : Unisex (A beautiful tea cologne)

One of my favorite perfumes of all time. Opens with a blast of realistic citrus, and then settles to a tea-forward fragrance with a tiny touch of spice. I think those that are criticizing this for being too fresh aren't smelling the stunning warm tea undertones that reveal themselves after the first 10 minutes. I agree with the reviewer who said it doesn't smell like green tea, but an orange-infused black tea.
I only wish it lasted longer!

I really wanted to love this - and while it is very lovely, all the good notes are there however it is quite soapy to me - I don't mind a soapy smell, it's very nice. i was just hoping for more of that zesty citrus and tea dominance. This is more of a nice old fashioned soap room / bathroom citrus, I feel aldehydes, creamy white florals, a bit of neroli, and that old school hard boiled citrus candy. And lots and lots of soap.

I love this fragrance so much! Tea is one of my favorite notes for the spring season. This is one of the best tea fragrances I have tried, next to the merchant of Venice’s blue tea

evarosa

Naturalistic green tea fragrance. Like the bitterness when you are crunching up fresh leaves in your hand. Very refreshing for hot days. Disappears on me completely within 4-5 hors.

bergamotted

Such a wonderful sweet and floral tea scent! Despite the notes it doesn't pull very citrusy on my skin. The dry down is soft and a little powdery without smelling like soap or laundry (these don't work for me as they pull kind of musty and dirty on my skin for some reason). Actually, it could smell like soap, but a very fancy one - it doesn't have the generic soap scent I often find I have to avoid. It doesn't smell like osmanthus but more of a general light floral with honey and some greenness bordering it. This worked well in humid weather. Sillage is very weak.

dsty

This one is true to it's wonderfully evocative name; it's very easy to imagine a beautiful, cool, lush island that smells like this (and to ignore the fact that the reality is way more prozaic in almost all cases!).

It's a delicious tea fragrance, balanced just right with an equally important role for mellow, cool, soft, nicely powdery-sweet florals and citruses. Delicious, and so refreshing without being actually (i.e. agressively) "fresh". It's just really lovely, the kind of scent that always puts a smile on my face; tea and citrus and blossoms are really a match made in perfume heaven and of course you can trust Annick Goutal when it comes to high quality execution. Projection and longevity could be better, but I guess that's the price you pay for such a natural-smelling, lightfooted fragrance - and it isn't insubstantial at all.

Another one for my alarmingly expanding wishlist!

Sinamorata

It's a very universal and comfortable to wear scent, lite and realistic, without any "chemical" notes. IMHO the tea is not green here, but black and sweetened with sparkly orange-citrus notes. It has a transparent, airy quality to it, like a a cool breeze on a hot day. Full bottle worthy.

gtabasso

A lovely summer fragrance from someone who is not a fan of tea too much. This is what Elizabeth Arden Green Tea should be. Tea with a burst of mandarin and lots of floral mandarin blossom, osmanthus and white musk. The tea dominates. Fresh and pretty. The final drydown loses the sweetness and becomes a bit like a smokey vetiver. In addition to tea, there seems to be some petitgrain or vetiver in here.

Cherry_Darling

Beautiful fresh zesty fragrant tea. I do love my citruses teas and blossoms for the everyday summer and spring days - perfectly subtle and fresh for frolicking around the neighborhood. Makes you kind of blend in with the magnolia trees and lush greens.

curieuse

Opens up with a joyous citrus sparkle. It is a dream-like scent, a dream where you are feeling a soft wind to your face in the middle of a sunny greenness. Very fresh and subtle, the greenness is very refreshing.
It doesn't last long on the skin, but while it does it is absolutely beautiful. It is similar to 4711 but has more sophisticated development with a hint of green.

lunarambrosia

It's my turn to say "I don't understand why this fragrance doesn't have more positive reviews." I finished my bottle of this very quickly. It is is fantastic for humid summer weather. I found the bergamot citrus blast to be very refreshing, a bit like an acqua di colonia, while the tart green tea note was pronounced and sweetened up by a little bit of orange-scented honey. To me this scent leans more feminine but it is very much unisex. Fresh and clean yet warm, it strikes a balance that I think is rare in perfumery. I'm almost tempted to buy another bottle!

I like most tea fragrances. For me, the jury's still out on this one. There's an herbal, peppery, tobacco-ness that I think I'd like better if I smelled it on others. Didn't really sense the citrus everyone's talking about. Clean, fresh, masculine/unisex.

gelo999

L'Ile au Thé is a fresh fragrance and say where actually pretty green tea note is the main protagonist of the composition.

Open fresh with soft citrus and tangerine, very artificial to what we are accustomed Maison, once a slight floral, faint as if a light breeze gave you in the face, suddenly note, the note tea appears to stay until the end, is accompanied by a very high note leather style Duel and another note musky that I find somewhat repetitive of many fresh fragrances Goutal style Les Nuits d'Hadrien. Not clear who wanted to get through this, it's kind of scent of fresh grass unnaturally, with a terpene point enclosed in a greenhouse and wrapped in a plastic-like aroma.

I think with this fragrance have just completed effortlessly and without risk, and taking into account the large Goutal fragrances that has given us this very loose game.

L'Ile au The is a very realistic green tea fragrance. Although I'm more of a peppermint tea drinker, this new Annick Goutal fragrance smells just like a steaming cup of herbal green tea with a squeeze of lemon.

It's a fragrance along the same lines as Eau Parfumee Au The Vert by Bvlgari and Bamboo Harmony from By Kilian. L'Ile au The is a summery scent, fresh enough for the warmer months and distinctive enough to stand out from the crowd. I'd probably enjoy this fragrance more on a man's skin than I would smelling it on me, but with that being said it's definitely unisex.

The green tea note is at its strongest in the opening, however towards the heart and drydown mandarin blossom and white musk tend to dominate. I can't say that this is my favourite Summer scent from Annick Goutal but it certainly is very pleasant and refreshing.

The longevity is average, lasting approximately five hours on my skin. L'Ile au The's projection is as you would expect, rather subtle. All in all this is a nice new addition to the Annick Goutal line-up, released in perfect time for Summer.

Opening lively, fresh and crisp, with mandarin ... is immediately made positive! After a few minutes it becomes "softer" the evolution of this fragrance is moderate .. already after 5 minutes vivacity initial calm giving way to a peace, relaxation ... incredible surrounds you, makes you feel unique, and combined the nature, the sun, everything. After a while it makes you feel the Osmanthus (nice note, that in this fragrance gives the magic touch to the composition in my opinion), but appears not so violent ... gives his light touch and velvety. Closes with white musk that combines perfectly with the other notes .... This fragrance is really extraordinary, wraps you in a beautiful dream. Although the sillage (unfortunately) is soft, and therefore need different spray, longevity is rather good (about 6 hours on me). I really like this scent, and certainly will come in my collection! :) Great job also here by Camille Goutal and Isabelle Doyen ... Thank you for this! . Council for summer or spring ...

I didn't get much citrus in Annick Goutal L'Ile au Thé. Instead, it behaves quite soapy on me during the opening.

Fortunately, the green tea emerges after about 20 minutes, and the soapy tone recedes into the background. The green tea is fresh and leafy with an almost grainy texture, which gives out a very realistici feeling. There's also a discreet honeyed jasmine nuance, which makes it almost like jasmine tea, but it's much less sweeter than By Kilian Imperial Tea.

The sillage is soft and the longevity is around 5 hours. L'Ile au Thé does seem to have a certain depature from other offerings of Annick Goutal: it's not as emotional or retro as the early offerings, nor is it as whimsical as Nuit Etoilée or Mandragore. But at the same time, I do find it a very pleasant and solid green tea fragrance: its green tea note is very natural and realistic, not too sweet or watery or wispy or overly synthetic like some fragrances of the same genre can be. For a refreshing green tea experience, I think it worths a try.

johngreenink

This is a warm and shimmery tea fragrance that's a true unisex scent. It opens with a burst of citrus which bears some resemblance to Eau d'Hadrien, but this is distinctly greener. It's a really lovely perfume, lasts quite long into the day, although very lightly. A perfect perfume for after shower on a warm day.

@Fhaldara
In here, South Korea, it has been launched few weeks ago, maybe in March?
And AG has started selling it just few days ago.
I think it has been launched earlier here because this perfume is inspired by Jeju island in South Korea.(FYI, Amorepacific, South Korean Company has taken over AG.)
Still I'm not sure about other countries...

I tried it, but it's just soso. Nothing special.
Mandarine-Green Tea-Osmanthus-Very slight musk(on my skin it's more like calm floral scent)
You can find better perfume with less money.

daithi

A classical, dated, boring and uninspired fresh green tea fragrance. Very citrus (along the lines of Eau d'Hadrien), with notes of petit grain, lots of green tea (slightly smoky) and musky base notes. It smells like most of the clean unisex fragrances massively launched during the 90s. I don't understand why Camille Goutal decided to add this to their range. Ok, maybe their citrus offerings are their bestselling perfumes (Eau d'Hadrien, Eau du Sud) but I think that they seriously need to take some risks and add some orientals in their collection.
